FarmVille has said Goodbye to Winter Wonderland as we prepare our new farms in FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise. Winter Wonderland’s last and final quest ended last week and no new content is expected. So it’s time to celebrate the memories of Winter Wonderland with a FarmVille Holiday Plushie!

FarmVille Freak Goes Gaga for Lady Gaga Contest

FarmVille Freak wants to see what you can do with a Lady Gaga song makeover – FarmVille style! With numerous hit singles such as Paparazzi, Just Dance, Alejandro, Love Game, and her most recent Born This Way and Judas, just to name a few, Gaga has tons of songs to choose from! They are asking farmers to put down their virtual pitchforks and get in the kitchen and whip up your best baked good in FarmVille fashion. We have seen some great FarmVille inspired desserts right here on FarmVille Freak and encourage all of our FarmVille Freak chefs to enter this contest.

“We know that our Farmers can harvest crops, plow fields and tend to livestock like no one else. But the holiday season is fast approaching, and the FarmVille team has decided to celebrate the fall harvest a little differently this year.

It’s time for everyone to get off their tractors, put down their pitchforks and grab an apron! We want to see FarmVille come to life… in baked form! Get those creative juices flowing and recreate your favorite FarmVille themes, animals or decorations into yummy desserts and post a picture for us to see.

We’ll be picking five winners for the best cakes, five winners for the best cookies, and five winners for any original dessert! (This means you can make pies, cupcakes or whatever dessert your heart desires). Bonus points will be given to farmers who name their desert and give us a brief explanation of their creation.

A Letter from Dave_NC:

Hello fellow freaks! Most of you know me as Dave_NC from the chat or from the graphic design stuff I have helped with on the FVF site. First, I would like to thank everyone in the FVF family for putting this together and helping to spread the word on CCSVI and MS.

I am sure you are asking what is CCSVI, MS, and what does it have to do with Dave_NC? It’s not possible for me to cover everything here but I will give you the basics as quickly as I can. In August of 2008 I awoke one Saturday unable to see out of my left eye. After a rather heart wrenching journey I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in October of 2008. For those not familiar with MS, it has always been categorized as an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord (Central Nervous System). MS is a very unique disease and affects everyone differently and to varying degrees. In 2009 a breakthrough discovery was made, called CCSVI (Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency). To put it simply as possible CCSVI is a plumbing problem in your veins, where blood can’t drain from the brain and spine because of blockages. Through tests, blockages are identified, then treated with an angioplasty procedure using balloons or stents. This has been named the Liberation Treatment, because MS patients are being liberated from their symptoms. The treatment is giving many with MS their functional lives back. It is truly remarkable.

In June, I decided to move ahead and get the treatment. I am in full fund raising mode to help me afford the procedure, as I await the exact date for treatment.
