FarmVille Enchanted Glen farm is the most recent example of FarmVille game expansions. There’s already talks of the next FarmVille destination farm being Atlantis themed. Zynga has been rolling out new FarmVille destination farms about every three months, so we’ve become accustomed to the idea of new farms, but not everyone is happy. FarmVille players are divided between those liking the idea of having new farms and those that don’t and would prefer addressing existing FarmVille issues first.
Since no one is forced to visit or acquire a new FarmVille farm, it seems kind of silly to say no to a new farm, even if you don’t plan on utilizing it. You can go ahead and claim your new destination farmland, and then completely ignore it or farm there happily.
With at least nine major farms, and several mini expansions going on such as Sunflower Meadow and Angler’s Pond no one is expected to keep all of their farms actively running. Most players choose to only farm a handful of farms or rotate which of their FarmVille farms they keep active. Of course, there is no right way and what’s right for you is for you alone to decide.
With that being said, we are still interested to know – how many FarmVille farms do you actively farm? Take our FarmVille Freak Poll below and tell us what you think about additional FarmVille farms in the comments below-. Are you for or against more FarmVille farms?
Recently, lots of FarmVille Freaks have been asking about the Wooden animals on the FarmVille Gifting Page.
There’s a Wooden Tiger, Wooden Zebra, and Wooden Giraffe that have been on the gifting page the past couple of days. Even though you can already send and receive these parts with your friends- they aren’t functional yet. They will be for use in an upcoming FarmVille feature, so it’s a good idea to stock up in the meantime. You can always hold on to the parts you collect for future use and they will be stored for safekeeping in your FarmVille Gift Box. The wooden animals are not harvestable animals nor are they decorations. Again- they are construction materials that will be utilized for an upcoming FarmVille feature.
Yesterday, June 26th 2012, Zynga launched an official FarmVille 2 Facebook Fan Page and it is legit. The company released details on FarmVille 2 as “coming soon” along with the announcement of other new Zynga games including The Ville and ChefVille titles at a Zynga Unleashed event in San Francisco at Zynga’s headquarters. They also revealed plans for their new social gaming network, “Zynga With Friends”, which it describes as “a unified experience that will connect all players on any platform.” (Source: MSNBC)
FarmVille FarmVille 2 In-Game
The big Z confirmed that the sequel to FarmVille will officially be called FarmVille 2 with the launch of its official Facebook Fan Page. We’ve heard rumors of the FarmVille game spin-off under the names Big Harvest and FarmVille 2 and shared with you some substantial evidence (see article links below) about the upcoming game here on FarmVille Freak. Rather than being a FarmVille destination farm such as Jade Falls, Hawaiian Paradise, etc. this is a brand new game from Zynga. What can we expect? If you’ve missed the sneak peeks of the Big Harvest screenshots, you can check them out below. The first thing you’ll notice is a graphics upgrade with the more three-dimensional eye candy of some of Zynga’s newer games- think CastleVille, which FarmVille rightfully deserves.

As of now there is no official launch date for FarmVille 2. We know you must have tons of questions about this upcoming game and its connection to your favorite regular old virtual farmin’ game. Stay tuned to FarmVille Freak for all the coverage on FarmVille and FarmVille 2!
What do you think, FarmVille Freaks? Are you excited about a sequel to FarmVille?
As you already know FarmVille Jade Falls is FarmVille’s sixth destination farm that has yet to be released. Recently, we’ve been seeing lots of unreleased items for Jade Falls and many of you are getting antsy for a start date.
Of course when it comes to FarmVille anything is subject to change without prior notice by Zynga and that means down to the very last minute.
There are two different start dates as usual. An early access date for players who pay Farm Cash to get to Jade Falls early will start one week before free general access to Jade Falls. Here’s what the projected start dates (VIP early access and regular access) of FarmVille Jade Falls are looking like:

FarmVille sent out a blast to all farmers in that dreaded yellow box above our in-game FarmVille play area letting us know that many users are experiencing problems posting shares to their Facebook News Feed.
Of course it’s hard to complete quests and other FarmVille tasks without being able to post shares so this is quite annoying and problematic. But there is a glimmer of hope, a workaround that may work for you is that you can add text to your share which should allow you to post it to your feed. You know, add words to the “say something about this” area which for now should fix the problem for most players.
Zynga is aware of the problem and working on a solution.
Says the yellow box:
“Howdy Farmers! We are currently experiencing an issue with not being able to post feeds and are investigating a fix. Thank you for your patience on this issue. You can currently work around this issue by adding text to your feed and the share button will work again.”
Have you experienced a problem posting a FarmVille share to your Facebook News Feed?
When visiting your Crafting Silo or Craft Shop you may notice a new Horse Hair ingredient. Although Horse Hair Bushels are appearing in you Craft Shop inventory, there are no available recipes (yet) that require this ingredient. Also you can try to request the new bushel by posting a Facebook News Feed share, but it’s not working at the moment as this has not been released.
More info as we know it.
Thank you to FarmVille Freak Joanne for giving us a heads up!
FarmVille has given some of its most recognizable icons a makeover which has many FarmVille Freaks asking, “Where is my corn?”.
You will notice that the usual Corn bookmark icon located on the left side of your Facebook bookmarked APPS has been replaced with an almost unrecognizable FarmVille Duck head. No, this is not a hack, this is the legitimate work of FarmVille doings. Many of you have asked about changes made to icons which are also featured on FarmVille shares found on your Facebook News Feed. Some of you have expressed concern about clicking on these links because of suspicion of fake groups or scams. We can confirm that FarmVille has given its icon material and some top feeds a makeover which includes art and text changes for some shares.
Use the same caution as you always would about clicking on feeds, but be aware that the Corn icon is no longer featured on shares. Some time ago the Corn icon on shares was replaced with a FV logo icon.
From FarmVille Official Facebook Fan Page:
“FarmVille just gave our feeds a makeover! Check out new the art & text on our most popular feeds! LIKE this post if you enjoy our updated look & give us your feedback by completing this short survey here: http://zynga.tm/1E2 ” (Source: FarmVille Facebook Fan Page)
Do you miss your old Corn icon or do you like the Duck better?
As you are well aware, FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise has its own special currency- Coconuts.
These Coconuts have been causing quite the confusion and tension among farmers. Specifically, which farms you can actually harvest Coconuts on keeps changing in FarmVille.
When we talk about harvesting Coconuts, we are only referring to those items that produce Coconuts. Many of you also seem confused about this so we’d like to clear that up while we are on topic in the side note below. If this information is insulting your virtual farming expertise, please skip ahead.
Side Note:What’s up with Coconuts?!FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise has two currencies which include Farm Cash and the new Coconuts. Only items designated as Coconut producers will yield Coconuts when harvested. This means that although you may have placed some cool animals on your Hawaiian Paradise farm that you’ve gotten from the Facebook News Feed, found leftover in your FarmVille Gift Box, or even purchased in the FarmVille Market- only the Coconut producing animals will yield Coconuts! This also applies to Hawaiian animal habitats. It doesn’t matter if you have a Hawaiian Horse Paddock full of horses. If they are all regular Farm Coin producing horses, then you will only get Farm Coins when harvesting your Hawaiian Horse Paddock. On the other hand, if you have a stable stocked full of Coral Horses (Limited Edition Hawaiian Paradise item) you will be treated to Coconuts upon harvesting. Remember:
Only Coconut-producing items (animals/trees) will produce Coconuts.
Farm Coin-producing items (animals/trees) will produce Farm Coins in FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise.
Be sure to check an item’s market icon as shown in the FarmVille Market and it will display a Coconut value if item is able to produce Coconuts. Read more about Coconuts by clicking here.
Now back to the issue at hand, in case you haven’t been keeping up, here’s a quick recap on Coconuts.
First, certain Coconut-producing items were able to harvest Coconuts on all farms. This was a FarmVille “Known Issue” that later became resolved by making Hawaiian Paradise items able to harvest Coconuts in Hawaiian Paradise only. The original intention was that Hawaiian Paradise items would only be able to harvest Coconuts if they were placed on Hawaiian Paradise farms.
“Coconuts are granted outside of Hawaiian Paradise when harvesting!
Coconuts are granted outside of Hawaiian Paradise when harvesting applicable animals/items.
Last Update: 3/2/12
Description: Since the release of Hawaiian Paradise, players have been receiving Coconuts when harvesting applicable animals/items outside of their Hawaiian Paradise farm. Coconuts should only be granted when an item is placed/harvested in Hawaiian Paradise.
Then, FarmVille’s official Facebook Fan Page announced on March 6th that they would be allowing players to harvest Coconuts from Hawaiian Paradise items on all farms.
“FarmVille: Your feedback on this is loud and clear! Effective immediately, we are reverting the rules to allow players to harvest coconuts from Hawaiian Paradise items on all farms. ” (Source: Official FarmVille Facebook Fan Page)
Now, we are back to where we started (I think?) as players are once again reporting that they are unable to harvest Coconuts from animals or trees that should produce Coconuts on any other farm besides FarmVille Hawaiian Paradise. We are only getting Coconuts in Hawaiian Paradise. This has since become a FarmVille “Known Issue” as well.
“Coconuts Not Being harvested On Other Farms
Last Update: 3/8/2012
Description: Since 3-8-2012, players are unable to receive Coconuts for Harvesting Animals or Trees that are Coconut Producers on Farms other than HP.
Status: The FarmVille studio is aware of these reports and is investigating the issue.
Are you Coconut confused? So is everyone else. More details to follow… In the meantime tell us what you think!
Should you be able to harvest Coconuts from Coconut producing items on any farm or just Hawaiian Paradise? Take our Poll below and let’s discuss in the comments.
FarmVille is reporting via their official Facebook Fan Page that they have finally fixed the Bushel issue.
Which bushel issue exactly? For some time now, farmers have had problems with not receiving bushels when harvesting your crops. Now, you should notice that you will get more bushels when harvesting your crops.
“Hey Farmers! It’s been a long time, but FarmVille fixed the bushel issue. Now get the more bushels when you harvest your crops! Let us know if this improves your game play by completing this short survey below.
