FaceBook Explains and Apologizes for Today’s Outage

FarmVille Freak "Dislikes" today's FaceBook Outage. Where is the "Dislike Button" anyways?!??!

Earlier today, FaceBook went down and everyone freaked out!

FarmVille Freaks were worried about their farms, crops, and beloved Puppies going hungry. Mobsters were on edge from being forced to take a break from whacking people and all the other millions of people who have some sort of alternative internet career in the realms of social gaming no less worried about something. Oh and then there are those other people, who still use FaceBook for purposes other than gaming, well they were worried too.

Even though the outage was only for 2.5 hours, panic was widespread. The world reacted and news of the outage made both national and international headlines. According to FaceBook this is the worst outage that they have experienced in four years. So what did happen? If you want to read all the nerdy technical details about today’s outage, click here. If not, just be happy knowing that it works now and that even though FaceBook was down, Zynga was still looking out for all its addicts farmers. Unwither was turned on and Puppy starving was disabled.

Now, if only FaceBook could fix our disabled FarmVille Freak FaceBook Fan Page. That’s probably asking for too much.

So what would we do without FaceBook? What happens if it really did “break”?

Tonight another landscape option was added, Tuscan Green. This landscape can be purchased for 1000 coins and is a lighter green than the original Green Pasture option.To purchase this new landscape go to the Upgrade tab of your Market.

Free Fuel Week returns to FarmVille!

In early January Free Fuel Week debuted , tonight this special event has returned to FarmVille. This week you will be able to collect fuel for each day you log into Farmville, consecutively collecting more on each day. For the first day you will receive 1 Tank of fuel, the second day 2 tanks, the third day 3 tanks etc. So if you log onto your farm each day this week, like a true FarmVille Freak , you will receive 28 tanks of free fuel.

You will also be able to share fuel with friends by clicking on the Free Fuel Week icon in the upper left part of your game screen. After posting to the FaceBook home feed, neighbors will be able to collect a small tank of fuel (1/5 refill).

Also note, you can now gift small tanks of fuel to neighbors via the free gifting page.

FarmVille Freaks like FarmVille Freak Alex A. noticed that tonight’s FarmVille update has also changed Mystery Eggs!

Mystery Eggs can now be placed on your farm. All Mystery Eggs will go directly to your Gift Box. Then, you can either place it on your farm and open or save it to be opened at a later time. This change affects all colors of Mystery Eggs: White, Brown, Black and Gold.

Before, after receiving a Mystery Egg it automatically opened to reveal your prize. Now if we could just get updated prizes!

Tonight FarmVille has added a new limited time offer, allowing players to purchase fuel for coins. In order to unlock the fuel for coins option, players must be Level 20 and earn a medal in a Co-op. Once you’ve completed these requirements, you’ll be able to purchase fuel refills with coins. Each fuel refill purchase option is limited to one purchase per day, allowing you to buy 6 tanks of fuel daily.

1 Fuel Refill = 10,000 Coins

5 Fuel Refills = 50,000 Coins.
