This week’s official FarmVille Podcast is out and hosted by FarmVille Community Manager, Grimwell. Lexilicious will return to host the podcast on February 18th.
Also, making its way to FarmVille tonight is the FarmVille Greenhouse which was released tonight along with lots of new crops for you to work on! This major new feature will slowly be rolling out for farmers so you may not have access to it yet.
You can listen to the podcast video below or read our FarmVille Freak Summary and find the entire transcript provided by Zynga at the bottom of the post.
FarmVille Freak Podcast Summary
FarmVille Greenhouse (previously called the Glass House in prior Podcast) is released tonight.
3 Phase buildable building.
Used to create up to 10 new crops.
The Greenhouse (decorative building) has been renamed to Glass House.
The Farm Coin option 28×28 Expansion is coming next week! We learn that this expansion’s delay was because it was going to be part of a new feature. This idea was put on hold and expansion will be released as normal.
Orchards will produce Watering Cans. In the future when you do not receive a Mystery Seedling from harvesting your Orchard, you will receive 2 Watering Cans and an additional can that can be shared with up to 10 of your FarmVille neighbors via the Facebook news feed.
(Reminder, Snowmen will have the ability to produce Watering Cans for the next 3 weeks only.)
New special crops will be introduced that will award extra XP and more Farm Coins than normal crops!
Following the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, players of Farmville rallied to donate over US $1.5 million to the emergency food relief effort. A year later, the WFP and people across Haiti are saying thank you.

Have you ever been angry because of interrupted farming?
We’ve all experienced the annoying “Saving Farm” errors or other loading and accessibility technical issues that sometimes prevent you from getting your farming fix. Or maybe you are sick of paying farm cash for all the “good stuff”. Perhaps you are still missing items stolen away by the Zynga gods. Like any other addiction, maybe you’ve threatened “to quit” farming, but found yourself back to harvesting in the middle of the night. Whatever the case, despite the problems and frustrations with FarmVille, Zynga has all of us FarmVille Freaks hooked!
Check out the hilarious video below of one farmer’s “Freak-Out” farming session that describes the experience of many farmers and our love-hate relationship with FarmVille.
Warning: The following video contains adult language (although it is censored out), please watch at your own discretion.
Lately lots of farmers are complaining that FarmVille has become “all about the money”. Even though the Zynga gods have recently made more limited edition items available with coin options, farmers are still complaining about the expensive farm cash ruling FarmVille.
FarmVille is a free game for everyone to play and the big Z is a business like any other company so they are entitled to make profit from their game.
The video jokingly depicts some of the addictions and obsessions that many FarmVille Freaks face. Here is an excerpt from the opening lyrics:
“There’s just too much violence in the World of War Craft, and I can’t stand the guns in Mafia Wars, so I slip on my overalls and i log onto FaceBook. I want the feeling of working outside while I’m sitting indoors. So I’m wasting the day again in FarmaritaVille tryng to raise my Carrots and Corn. Some people claim that I’ve got no life at all, but at least its better than porn.”
My personal favorite line is, “Life is not about Carrots!”
If you have made your own video or song about FarmVille, please share it with us by emailing farmgoddess@farmvillefreak.com and we may feature it on FarmVille Freak.
