FarmVille Broken Wild Mustang Link and a Quick Fix!
UPDATE: Mustangs have been disabled until further notice. The following was posted by Channel Zero:
Due to some unforeseen technical difficulties (bad URL in the Mustang email, pop-up for the Mustang not appearing but displaying the progress icon, etc.) the Mustang has been disabled for the time being. Once these errors are corrected, the Wild Mustang will be enabled once more. We apologize for the inconvenience, and will update you via this thread as soon as we have more information.

FarmVille Freak Dave_NC's Help Wrangle Wild Mustang Notice
Although not everyone has access to the Wild Mustang feature, those that do are experiencing problems when they try to get help from friends to wrangle the Wild Mustang.
To get help from friends, you choose 5-15 friends. The friends that you have selected are sent an email that contains a link to help you wrangle the Wild Mustang. The problem is that the link within the email is broken. However, there is a quick and easy fix! Just follow the steps below and you can get all the help you need.
Note: This should only be a temporary problem until Zynga addresses the broken link issue, but for the time being, you will have to fix your links for help.
Steps for fixing Broken Wild Mustang Link:
- Right Click on “Help Friend” link.
- Copy the link address location.
- Paste the link address into Word, Notepad, browser, etc.
- There are two URLs. Only one is needed. From the beginning of the URL addresss, delete the first http:// all the way to the end, stopping right before the second http://______FriendReward.
- If you see two %% at the end of your link, delete those as well.
- Copy your new link (should be only 1 URL) and send this to your friends so that they can help you wrangle the Wild Mustang!
- The friends that you send the new corrected link to, only need to copy/paste your link into their browser and hit enter.

And what for people who were still selecting neighbors & didn’t send the mail yet & got out of sync probs? Is there still hope for them?
The icon on the left side of the screen is there, and it says (0/5 helped!)
Of course 0 … I couldn’t send the mails yet…
When I click that icon, it simply disappears…
Guess there’s nothing that can be done about this ?

I couldn’t even send messages to any of my friends to help the mustang. Does anyone know how to fix this? Will I be able to buy the help? I really don’t want to loose the mustang. Thanks!

I had the same problem. Out of sync when selecting neighbors. Zynga really messed up this time.

I couldn’t see who the friends were who I was supposed to ask to help, so I gave up right there. I haven’t seen friends load at the bottom of my screen for months, so its no shock this didn’t work either.

Okay what I ended up having to do is uninstall the toolbar,and reinstall it for every name I had helping(I used five other names I play farmville on). Then I took the link,and “fixed” it as per instructions here,and for each name,finally the window came up that asked if you wanted to help wrangle the stallion. Once I got all five names to help,on the name that did the requestiong a stallion appeared in the gift box. What I’m wondering is,why don’t the names that helped get a stallion too?Or was that not the intention?In which case why would anyone help?
Just curious if any of the helpers got stallions too?

I asked friends for help but none of them received the email, so I don’t have a link that need to be fix. looks like I have to wait 3 days now and need to buy the mustang. although I think I won’t buy it. I don’t want to pay for a mistake zynga made!

Thanks for the info, but honestly, this is ridiculous….as if my middle-aged computer-challenged friends to whom I sent the emails are going to go through these steps to send me a horse! I mean, we love to play the game, but this is just way too many hoops to jump through…..

Why would your friends help? Because they are friends. If I had neighbors that were so selfish that they would not help me get ahead they would be GONE.
I have had neighbors send me codes from 7-11 and we always HELP each other to get ahead in the game. As I said…anyone who does not…they are gone.

when i click on the icon it dissappears

Boo Hoo! Yes it happened to me, got the pop up, clicked on the get help, game goes out of sync. But I have the little icon in the left hand corner mocking me every time I go to my farm, 0/5 it says and it will stay that way I suppose because I didnt get to ask for help. Maybe we will all get another chance?

My page was out of sync (as usual) & when I went to refresh it is when the mustang appeared. I was never given the prompt to ask for help & now it just indicated 0/5 helped. How do I get the link to get helped from friends???

I was taking things out of my box,got a out sync message, I clicked as it was closing It I saw the mustang quickly disappear I refreshed to see if it was there but nothing!!! went to email and nothing so I guess I’m out. Is there a way to get it?

Be aware – there is a spam over the facebook called Mustang Released, they promise to activate WIld Mustang, but is not true

All I had was naked farmville farmers dancing for neighbors… I couldnt send any request out either.. LOL O well, Zinga really jacked this all up!!! I have given them my email like 1000 times anyways why do they need it again?? O FARMVILLE DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! Good thing I am an addict or I would have hauled butt out a long time ago!

I got a Mustang last night and had to fix the link in order for my friends to help. Everything worked with the fix–thanks. Then after I placed the Mustang on my farm, I was able to post a Mustang foal sharing feed. Now my Mustang is gone! Is this how it’s supposed to be? I thought we would be allowed to keep our Mustang??? Will another one appear on my farm for me and my friends to wrangle?

I’m one of the unlucky ones who never even got to send the emails out. I’ll never get any help since The game went out of sync before I could send anything out & now I only have the icon that says 0/5 helped.

I also did not get the option to select friends to send a mail to. I have the icon on my farm, but can not ask anyone to help. Tell us how to fix that issue and if we will ever get our mustang. Hard to fix a link that you never got.

I agree helping each other is what the game is for too,however after going through what a person has to go through to get the links to work for the stallion,one would think farmville would at least give the “helpers” some reward as well. Good on you for sharing the 7-11 codes, I suppose if they ever get the codes here in Canada I would share them too. I have yet to see any.

Totally worked…so far. I got 3 / 5 friends to help so far. If anything funky happens and it doesn’t ultimately work I will post here.

I asked for help (didnt get the out of sync problem), but now when I click the icon it disapears… My friends didnt get the email as well… I received an email from other friend asking for help, but when i click i cannot help! And there’s no 2 url’s for me to fix ir like the post says… smply doesnt work… =P

selected neighbors – must have caught it at the beginning before it broke. They got the email and clicked to help, but don’t know if it did anything – just took them from email to FV and my little mustang icon on the upper left of my screen (it’s on one of my other farms) says 0/5 have helped. Has anybody else gotten that far and are the neighbors really helping?

worked for me. and when you get your mustang you get to share baby foals with friends. Put your mustang in the stable and take it out, then it will allow you to share more foals. Lol, its a glitch I am sure, but it works, I posted several foals to my feed:)

I got the option to send emails and I sent about 10. One to my second account said “help friend” but only went to that farm and did nothing. One to my wife and she never got the email. Nobody else has gotten the email either. Typical farmville. Limited Mustang to some farmers.. doesn’t work for most of the ones who tried.. farmers losing their mustangs when they evern get them… such a shame

is there anyway to send the link to those of us who lost out because of neighbors no loading correctly. so we could send those links to our friends and get the mustang that was robbed from us due to a bug, or glitch that has been plaguing most of us for quite some time now. its not cheating because we should have had this ability in the first place. i wish companies like zynga and rock you would take more time to fix existing problem before adding new ones

I got a whole different kind of message then the rest. I came to my farm and it said I found a wild Mustang and would I allow Zynga to send me an email about it? Then I had to click on allow and that took me too a blank page. Refreshing the page did nothing and when I went back to my farm I got a pop up window saying thank you for updating your email and find gift in your gift box…. harumph!! Nothing new in my gift box even after refreshing… weird!!

We are all having the same problem it looks lke to me. “Out of sync” or ” FV has been enhanced” message when the Mustang showed up at our farms. Instead of posting a fix that nobody can use, Just put a mustang in our gift box and fix the problem so that the rest of the FV players dont have to go thru this mess! Seems pretty simple to me.

for people who got to send the emails and their friends got them but couldn’t help have them send/ forward the email to you. You click on help…quickly stop the load when there is a huge link. Its a two part link meaning to http’s the help link is the second one. copy the whole link from address bar paste it to notepad separate the two at the http… it stops right after Reward take off the % symbols and if anything afterwards. copy that final code and paste it to your feed/profile post to homepage feed any friend can click on it. had mine in 10 seconds. If it loads past the link keep doing it till you get it to stop on time. goddluck. my sons refreshed on him too looked onto cokkies and history can’t go deeper might have a friend who can Zynga has not been helful so far maybe with enough complaints they will give it another round!

I normally don’t have a problem with FV, but it is stupid to make items availiable thru emails…but whatever. I am still going to do it if or when I can, so once again, FV wins! Some people are addicted to crack, my addiction is farming…now if I could on harvest crack and make some REAL $$$$

Nice Mustang sad part is not getting the email after sending it out all 3 accounts got no email. not so much fun…. my other account was the same but lucky enough i got to copy the link…. and I agree with you all with paying FVcash the horse is pretty but not that pretty for 16FV… I think after the 3 days you should be able to send out the email again and try.. lets hope by tomorrow i will at least receive an email to help mustang

Someone mentioned earlier to go to applications an edit FV email opotion, I did and a couple hours later went to my farm and Mustang wondered along. Problem didn’t give me a a page to send requests to neighbors-so not quite there.

I follow the istructions (sending via email the farmvillefreak post bellow) and i get the Mustang. When i give home to the mustang the game give me the option to share a mustang fole to my friends.

I too, have the wild mustang and 0 of 5 neighbors helped, because I never got the message to send the email. My computer was “out of sync” as the others. Can someone please copy and post the link we need to send out the email? Just exclude your friends info, but give us the important part of it? That would be a big help. I want my mustang and am unemployed right now, don’t have FV cash to buy it. Thanks neighbors!

AND you can make MILLIONS of foals. you can just put it into an empty stable and you dont even have to hit harvest. it just pops up a share link. i made 85 today. EIGHTY-FIVE. haha. i am sure they will fix it soon so i wanted to get it out of my system.
also, if you copy the corrected link and email it back to the person who asked for help, they can just post that link onto their news feed and anyone can click it and help. (who am i kidding, i know everyone on here has multiple farms, so just send it to yourself and post it.
no more whining. everyone will get the mustang soon enough and we will be sick of them in a matter of days.

My emails got as far as Next, and i chose 5 people,and emails went no where.. If this is another glitch,,, thats fine, i will wait for a fix, but if its an attempt, for me to buy with real money .. forget it… I don’t buy with cash, on a game board…

this whole idea sucks ass. I use my Blackberry for email.. and usually cant do much with the links. Why cant they just put it through the regular message feed so people can click “help” right from the game!??? I guarantee i will never get this completed because no one will click the email links….

Hi… call me dumb, but when I right click on the help neighbor button I cannot copy the link to fix it because it disappears on me.

it seems like there is a crazy glitch with the mustang…. some that have been lucky enough to get the mustang, can somehow give out as many foals as they like, without having to harvest them… a freind of mine gave me 3 foals back to back within a few seconds…

for those thinking of just buying it in 3 days, wait. if you can get some foals, they will eventually grow up in the nursery ( given zynga’s pace, probably around the fall
). i have 11 foals so far, so i’m not wasting cash on an adult mustang if they eventually grow.

Mine went to out of sync before I could request help as well, but I think it is an amazingly wonderful sign that all our lives are so good that complaining about a virtual mustang glitch in a game is our biggest concern.

Cool, but when I got the Mustang pop-up I didn’t get to request my neighbors because the neighbors weren’t loading, but FV *thinks* I sent out requests so my Mustang is pending but no emails have gone out. *sigh*

Same problem; I just noticed the mustang on the upper left of my farm. When I hover over it, I get 0/5 and 2 days left. It must have appeared yesterday but I never saw any pop-up, so obviously I can’t send out a ‘help’ request. When I click on the mustang icon, it disappears until I refresh. I checked the official Farmville Forums and I didn’t see any discussion about this. Maybe I overlooked it, but I sure hope someone at Zynga is working on this!!!

Thanks! This worked and I got my Stallion.
Also the glitch worked w/ putting her back in the stable and removing her over and over again to produce lots of foals for my neighbors.

I have been making foals all day! Just put the mustang in the stable, then take it out. Boom, pop up to share. Over and over again.

I have a friend that finally got the Mustang by using the fix….everytime they take the mustang out of the stable a foal pops up….put the mare in, take the mare out…new foal…not even a stallion lol. they have posted like 20 mustang foals.

Hi all I found out that the mustang will produce many foals by just removing it from your stables and placing it out and putting it bk in it can be repeated loads of times it’s a glitch but a very good glitch if you ask me tell me if you have the same

I got the link to help a friend but its not working. My husband got one from a different friend and it also isn’t working. I see the mustang link on my farm but it just dissapears when I click on it and his farm doesn’t have one at all. I am level 45 and he is 48 so thats not the problem. Zynga is a joke anymore. Nothing works and when you ask them for help….nothing. Just like the two dogs I have purchased, feed on time and gave all treats. Still doesn’t do any tricks….doesn’t even do anything when I tickle it. Asked Zynga for help….they responded for me to check the FAQ page.

My mom got the stallion pop up but had the same problem with not being able to ask any friends. I tried replacing her ID into the link about helping a friend, but it just says the Mustang has already been wrangled
The good news is, I helped our mutual friend using the fixed link, even though she didn’t choose me as one of the friends who got the email, so all you need is enough friends to click on the link, no matter how many did or didn’t get emails.

I finally figured this out and got my mustang. So i put him in my horse barn and then took him right out. everytime I do this he produces a foal. Put him in, take him out…So far Ive been able to send out about 50 foals!!! Hope this glitch works for everyone!!!

yesterday the Mustang popped up on my farm – I followed all the steps. My friends clicked HELP and nothing happened.
Today it showed up again and this time I was asked to give my email…(every time I am asked to give my email I do, and a blank box always appears.)
So…where´s my Mustang!!!!????
How can I get it, please?

this fix won’t fix my mustang i was on my farm and when it showed up my neighbors was blink on the bottom of my farm so i could not see who to send my 5 to 15 too so i refresh my farm and all i get now is the mustang on the top right hand cord and when i click on him it disapears can som 1 on here tell me how i can get it to work where i can send 5 neighbors to help me get him Please & TYVM Leon H.

Looks like we all have the same problem going on I really like this game I would hate to have to just stop playing like I did with cafe world after the game took over 1 million coins from me and zynga’s fix was to give me 400 burgers that sold for 4 coins each. I just hope they don’t ruin farmville for me now too.

A friend got the mustang last night and we had problems helping her until Farmville Freaks posted the correction. We were able to help there then.
Just before I found out about the mustang being disable for the time being, she had 4 of 5 friends help.
Well, she just posted the mustang foal on FB and I got mine! So it’s working again.

My mustang in the left corner says I have 0/5 helps, but there was a mustang in my gift box this morning and I was able to post a foul to my feed. i still have the one in the corner saying 0/5, but I got the mustang =)

well, it worked, thank you. but i doubt that people who get the email will go through this procedure just to give you an item on fv.
my suggestion: contact zynga and complain. the support is very generous and surely they will be accommodating. when i lost 15 fc without a reason, they helped me quickly and to my entire sadisfaction…

Instead of waiting for your friends (FV neighbors) to get emails, etc… just send all your neighbors this link:

Tell them to open a new window/tab (other than being signed into FV) and copy and paste the above link, and they should be able to click to help you.
I think only your friends who are signed up to receive emails from FV can help you, but not sure about that.

Hm, strange. I sent out my e-mails, my mustang icon still says 1/5 helped, but this morning I had my mustang in my gift box and it even produced a foal, but the icon is still there saying 1/5 helped? Oh well, I’m not complaining.

I found the link to my mom’s mustang, the farmville toolbar found it when I clicked on get bonus. You’ll have to have one of your friends (or your second account if you have one) to try and click on it and see if it finds the link. Then I just copied the link out of the address bar and had more friends help with it. It worked like a charm and she got her mustang and I got the foal.

I got the ‘wrangle mustang’ pop-up when this feature first came out. Because of the FV glitch I wasn’t able to e-mail any of my neighbors. But today I got the mustang and the foal too (without putting it in the stable either). I didn’t click on the mustang icon on the left side of my screen, didn’t post any links to my neighbors, basically none of my neighbors did anything. Maybe FV is making up for all its screw ups?

Was able to wrange a Mustang with help from 5 friend by fixing the link on 26/5 got my Mustang and gifted some foals for my friends. This morning there was a second Mustang in my giftbox and i could offer foal to friend again. =)

I think some people should learn how to read. I posted yesterday about a way to get the mustang but people are still on here asking how to do it. I admit that it can be hard to find answers to questions sometimes and there’s a lot of useless complaining on this tread to wade through, but if you have a question about the mustangs you really should read everything before asking the same thing everybody else is asking.

I got the mustang and when I started asking for 5 friends to help the page refreshed itself and I never got a chance to send it. Now the icon shows up on my FV game as 0/5 friends helped.

I also got the mustang, but when I had to click on 5 friends, my friends’ names didn’t show up and all the faces were question marks, so I had to blindly send out emails. No one has helped, when I click on my mustang logo on my page it just disappears. So now what do I do?? I thought they were not going to re-release the mustang until they fixed the problems?

I also have the Farmville bar, and my bonus box is giving me fuel from my friend’s farms. So I still don’t have my mustang, even though I am able to read, and actually graduated my college class with a 4.0 GPA.

To most of you who are having problems with your friends getting emails to help you, they need to check their actual EMAIL account that they use to log onto facebook to get the notification. It will not appear in your facebook inbox. Lets say you had a yahoo email address. You would have to go to yahoo.com and then sign in as you would if you were not using facebook, go to inbox and there will be an email from facebook saying you have requested this persons help with your mustang.. blah blah blah.. open it and the link will be in there ready for you to accept!
this will help a lot of your problems with only having a few people assist you!!!

Got one, game went out of sync…
Got the link again, it worked, sent out the emails, but no one GOT the email. Then, the icon is there tormenting me saying, “ha ha 2 days left & 0 friends have helped). So, at the end of the 2 days, i assume I have the choice of using my Farm Cash or loosing the Mustang. And, wondering if it’s going to pop up again….
AND, when I installed my Toolbar, I didn’t get my $25 Farm Cash either!
So sad….

i had my friends check their emails and only one of them had an actual email… the other just showed up on my friend’s phone…no email needed! so i had 2 helpers and nobody else received the emails, even though they are literate and checked! so i had my other friend that got the email forward the help link email to the other friends and i got my mustang… i thought we were supposed to be able to put the mustang in and out of the stable unlimited times and get a foal every time… does anyone know why this is not working?? other than farmville really dropped the ball on this one??

I tried the steps with the broken link I was just now emailed. I tried the amended url and all I got was an ‘OK’ box with no text or images telling me what I was saying OK to – though it was clearly a Farmville ‘OK’ box. I clicked ok and nothing appears to have happened.
This sucks.

i have a problem too!
i have authorized zynga to access my mail and i have previously received mail from zynga but when a wild mustang appears at my farm the popup says i have to authorize or update my mail and when i do the pop up disappears!

i got a serious issue my pc is old so when it loaded i pressed to start wrangling it but did not select any friend so know farmville got a pic of it on the side with 0/5 will it allow to me to ask for help again??? or will i have to buy it with cash??

The first time the mustang appeared, apparently I hadn’t signed up to recieve email from Zygna, so I clicked this, thought everything would be okay. Now I’ve had the mustang appear again and apparently I still haven’t signed up for the emails! (Yet I recieve emails from FarmVille/Zygna all the time!) Grr, not happy

This is a joke. My mustang is now out of time and I never got the opportunity to wrangle it. Nothing new though because, as I am the bastard child of FV. Anything that can be broken on my farm usually is, so I am used to stuff like this.
I sometimes go three or four weeks without getting eggs from my coop or anyone else’s and until I got a white stallion I was averaging 1 stable consumable every two or three weeks.
I have a novel idea for Zynga: Pull all of your development people and put them into troubleshooting. Do not introduce anything new until all the existing stuff works reliably for everyone. Make the development people answer emails for 1 hour each every day.

I was able to send the emails, but when my friends try to help they get this message “sorry, only your friends can help you capture the wild mustang”. I’ve been friends with most of them since I’ve been on facebook. Par for the course for facebook.

i left my farmville up and finally a wild mustang pop up came. (this happened last tuesday)
however, right as i went to click it, “farmville has been enhanced! refresh to continue”
i couldn’t get the mustang. is there any hope?

This link correction worked beautifully for me BUT only because I requested help from my son and he ACTUALLY got the email from Zynga. Only 3 people out of the 15 I chose, bot the email from Zynga. I then corrected the link I copied off my son’s acct and posted it to my feeds and just asked my friends to click on it to help me wrangle the mustang. I worked.
The second time, I did not have to do anything….a mustang just appeared in my gift box.
The third time, I sent out my request and chose my son again. He got the Zynga email (only him). So, I took the link (just as it was…did not make corrections) and posted it to my feeds and again asked friends to click on the link. This is how I got my third mustang.
It is still not working, Right now I have one mustang showing in the top corner of my farm page and it says I have 1 day left with 0/5 help. I don’t even know how it got there since I never got a pop up for that one.

i had not selected anyone to send the mail but now i have 2 days left and 1/5 nobody could ever helped as i haven’t asked .i tried to make the link by my 2nd account based to another link so could i have done it properly?? or just farmville issues luckily one more will come up in the days to come!!

I had the same thing happen today! It asked me to help and i said ok and then game out of sync. It never came up again, but it does have the icon on the left with 0/5 Help.
I never asked any friends to help because it never told me to….It’s a bunch of BS!

Not sure what to do, I tried to edit the link and did exactly what people on here were suggesting. With all that, it still doesn’t work and I know that more then 5 people have helped me out with this, even with the new link. My link doesn’t show %% at the end but it has them in the middle of the URL address….can anyone help me out

I was able to get the message out to one of my friends for this and the following worked to get my Mustang. (You are given the chance to post a Mustang Foal for your friends if you capture the adult Mustang).
My friend received the message and clicked to help. That was my 1/5 helpers. Now, I took the link from the e-mail he received and had four other friends log into their FB accounts and then click the link. It opened a second FB window and asked if they wanted to help me wrangle the Mustang. They clicked okay and after 4 more friends helped, I received my mustang.
If you were offered the Mustang, (I only think this will work if you were offered it), click the below link and replace the stars that follow the “3D” 5 lines down with your FB profile ID (The number at the end of the link when you hold your cursor over your profile picture)

yesterday, everytime I excepted a gift or got an item off the wall, I got the mustang offer. Not once, not twice, but no less than 20 times.., Thats right 20 + times but then the link to ask friends to help was not there. I sent Zynga 2 emails with the urls and pictures. I still have a mustang on my farm. It shows I have 0/5 friends. It went from 3 days to 2 days to 1 day with1/5 friends and then today it is back to 0/5 with 3 days left. I have also gotten 6 emails to help others… This has really pissed me off…

an icon of wild mustang arrives a the extreme left on my computer screen it says that 0/5 helped and when i click on the icon vanishes and i want a wild mustang so how should i proceed ……it says 1 day left so please reply my query as early as possible…….thank you

I see the mustang on my screen.. the top left corner, when I hoover the mouse over it, it says 0/5 Friends helped, but how can I get it to pop up on my screen. When I click it, it just dissapears and no other options come up.

I keep trying to send the link but it tells people that the Mustang has already been captured. I do not have the mustang. The thing that shows up on the side says that 0/5 friends have helped and the number of days left changes every time I look at it. This is ridiculous!

Well surprise surprise someone helped me with my mustang….that is truly amazing …unbelievable…the man upstairs must have heard all my praying and swearing (LOL) over the last couples day, but really the amazing thing is I didn’t even get to send my emails as it disappeared….how does that work???
so many bugs and problems with is game later, I agree it is ridiculous!
