FarmVille Dog Breeds and PetVille Sneak Peek
As we mentioned earlier today on FarmVille Freak (see post), you can get sneak peeks of the FarmVille Dog by accessing another Zynga game, PetVille.

FarmVille’s updates today, include official pop-up notifications telling you about the “coming soon” FarmVille Dogs.
FarmVille Pets Are Coming To FarmVille Notice
The PetVille Dogs give us a hint of what breeds of Dogs we can expect to see in FarmVille. You can view these notices by visiting the post earlier today on FarmVille Freak and clicking here: FarmVille Dog Breeds Coming Soon. So far, the Dog breeds include:
- Border Collies
- Golden Retrievers
- Sheepdogs
Although you will have to play PetVille to see these notices, you will not be required to play PetVille to obtain your FarmVille pet upon official release!

“You will NOT get or unlock any items in FarmVille by going and playing PetVille. It will not be a requirement to play Petville to get a Dog.”

Their wording worries me…
Sure we don’t have to play to get our pet… But if we don’t play it we’ll probably have to pay with Farmcash. By playing it it’ll probably be coins… just like the mafia fiasco…

I agree with Mando. It’s currently NOT a requirement to play Mafia Wars to get a hot rod vehicle but it’s cheaper that way….

My assumption and only is a assumption is that the Puppies will be released next Tuesday. Which is March 23rd….which of course in the USA is National Puppy Day

this wonders me a long time , if DOGS will have an effect on the way of our farming, if they can do harvest animals ( probably sheeps?) or do some tricks>>> CUZ THEY CAN PUT ANY ANIMAL WHENEVER THEY WANT BUT WHY WE WAITED FOR THIS DOG A VERY VERY LONG TIME SO THE DOG MUST BE VERY VERYSPECIAL<< RYT???

@Eve – You need to go to your application settings, and unblock it that way. I was having the same problem with Mafia Wars, and couldn’t figure out for a loooooooong time why I couldnt go to the page, and yet everyone else could.
I agree with that other person that said they would probably be released on National Puppy day, that would make the most sense. I’m just really worried they’re going to make the SO hard to get, expensive to get one with PV$ and then expensive to keep up with it, with even MORE PV$. To me, it just seems like another way for Zynga/Farmville to make more money from us buying more FV$. I can just see it now.. they’ll charge like, 23FV$ for the dog itself, then 10FV$ for food, and like.. 18FV$ for a dog house. This addition is NOT going to be cheap.

I don’t think it’s a big deal that the cottages shrunk. Think of it this way: There’s now more room around the cottage so you can put some more decorations!

I thought something was strange about the Cottages. I wonder why they did that???
Here are a couple of comparison photos. Sorry I don’t have a complete photo of the “before” cottage, and since I’ve redecorated since then, I tried to place a few things approximately where they were in the “before” photo for scale. It was tough though because the size and footprint has changed.

say, I have a question about the dogs-I want one when they come out, but can they be bought with farmcash or coins??? I really don’t like it when all of the cool stuff can be bought with farmcash and not coins since I never have enough of it. And don’t have a credit card or paypal to pay for any, and I can’t get out of the house much since I’m taking care of my dad so I can’t get any of the game cards…so I hope you answer that question during the next podcast. Thanks!

Cole the app you are trying to get to is blocked…go to your privacy settings then application settings and then edit blocked applications…it could help

I am very excited about the dogs… I hope they have FV$ AND coin options. I have so much coin and I have NOTHING to do with it. $$ are a different story…I refuse to pay cash for this game and it has taken me quite a while to get 20 FV$ to get a Pinto horse. NOW… I am holding off because I REALLY want a dog. I am sure FV has chosen herding dogs since they ARE on a farm. There is NO possible way they could make every dog available…not even all the herding dogs…OF COURSE I would LOVE a Sheltie… BUT I will be happy with what every they offer.
