FarmVille Treats & Tricks for Adult Dogs!
FarmVille Puppies have finally grown up! If you have fed your Puppy for 14 consecutive days, your Puppy can finally become an adult Dog!
You are no longer required to feed your pet Kibble everyday, but if you want your Dog to learn new tricks you will need to give it a Treat daily.
Treats can be purchased in the FarmVille Market for 5 FV$ for 7 treats, or they can be sent as free gifts by your FarmVille neighbors accessible through the FarmVille Gifting Page.
Some of the Tricks your adult Dog can learn so far, are:
- Roll Over
- Play Dead
- Shake
- Specific Trick pertaining to Breed of Dog.
- Sheepdog- Harvest Sheep
- Collies – Herd
- Golden Retrievers – Fetch items for you
- Terriers – Harvest Rabbits

Also, each new trick will require a different amount of Treats. You will have to feed your Dog the required amount of Treats until it has learned and mastered that trick. Note, you can only feed one Treat per day.

• 3rd Trick – 3 Treats
• Final Trick – 7 Treats

not about trick, but there is a new offer if you add a new neighbor, you will get either 50 xp, or a black chicken, or a whole fuel or coins(i think 1000) just saw it, wish it was before all neihbors added, none to add!

So turns out we do have to feed the darn thing every day. That kind of sucks. Don’t think I’m bothering just so it can roll over especially since it will forget as soon as I don’t feed for a day.

I can’t even get my damn farm to load!!! Zynga, fix the loading issues before adding more junk to the farms! Now when I can finally get to a computer thaqt will load the game, my crops are going to be dead!!! ARGHHHH!

to have your puppy grow up you have to feed him a treat… then he will become a HUGE puppy.. feed another treat and he turns into an adult… feed another treat and he learns roll over… feed him another that starts him to learn to play dead all on the first day!! so have your neighbors stock pile those dog treats!!! I know i will be!!

I am having problems with my dog(s) also.
When I purchased her at first, s a pup she would only roll over for the tickle on RARE ocassions, otherwise just sat there. Now as grown, same problem. Will not roll over for a tickle or as a trick ( yes, she has been fed the treat and the “roll over” is in her menu)
I see a lot of folks are not having problems with their dogs, but some are. Wonder if this glitch will eventually be fixed and what % of people are having this problem?

For those of you whose dogs it looks like just lies down or stretches, make sure the dog has some extra room around it so that it has space to do the roll. I.e., not packed in with all you others animals and junk.

I always make sure of that..but I have noticed that my farmer no matter how far away always walks right up to the dog after I have clicked the trick on its menu….could the farmer be in the way / preventing the action? ( I have tried this with “follow” and “stay”)

My dog is fully grown and has received one treat and it says that it has learned to roll over. It does not roll over but does what Rob Gould’s one does in post 16, it stretches out a paw then stops.
I like the dog but wish they hadn’t given it such a dopey look!

Yeah, my dog is doing the stretch out thing. He doesn’t roll over. I even put a bunch of stuff in storage to give him a TON of room, by doing this he got a little further to rolling over, but still, he never did. It’s not that important I guess, I’m not putting a bunch of stuff in storage to make the damn dog roll over. He does it when you tickle him anyways.

Ok so I got 2 dogs…and I have 2 dog kibbles in my gift…but when I click on “use”…to feed the dogs…nothing happens..like…the kibble picture comes up beside my mouse pointer…but when I click on a dog to feed..nothing happens…it doesnt feed the dogs at all…I don’t understand..am I suppose to like click somewhere else…or is there like a dog bowl that I’m suppose to put the kibbles in…or what?? can someone help…I got 1 hour to feed the dogs..for this day…so ya…help ASAP!

So… do we have to feed them treats every day in order to make them do tricks? Or just have to feed them so many days in a row and then it sticks? Seems pointless to have to do it every day.

Now we have to feed treats for the dog to learn new trick but if we forget it seems they will forget the tricks and we have to restart again. Does this mean that we need to give it treats every day if we teach it tricks or if we dont teach it trick, we do not have to feed treats at all.
Not clear abt the instruction.

okay…the dogs are cute and all, the help they give one the farm is not so great. i can harvest my 2 rabbits all by myself. my complaint is that between arborists, farnhands, anti wither stuff, kibble and dog bones in the gift box….where are the gifts supposed to fit???

Same problem for me as Michelle. I get the treat out of the gift box, but nothing happens when I take it to the puppy and try to use it. What the heck?
But, on the plus side–I love the fact that you don’t have to go to the drop down menus to harvest animals and trees!!! Maybe my carpal tunnel will actually go away now!

Here’s how I understand it. You still have to feed your puppy one more time after the 14/14 to get it to grow up. Also, once your dog learns a trick they won’t forget it if you forget to feed it. It only forgets tricks that they are currently learning.

I click on the treats in my gift box, the picture of treat comes to mouse, then nothing. Cant feed the dog the treat.

When you click on your dog, one menu option is “feed”. Clicking this will feed him a treat, and you should get a pop-up to tell you the dog’s progress in training.
You don’t see a hungry bubble, but you do still get a timer if you hover over the dog. Just like kibble, you have a 24hr timer to work with.

Hey everybody! Is your dog growing into an adult? I thought mine glitched and wasn’t able to grow even though I fed it the 14th time. It turns out that you have to wait 15 days in total. You need to feed him/her for 14 days then wait another day. And when the clock says 00:00 about 30 seconds later he’ll grow up. Figured it out today

My dog ran away well one of them, it gave me the option to save him, I clicked PAY 2FV cash FINE,… It never took my FV cash, and never sent my dog back. now I can’t find anyway to see how to get her back.
This game is getting retarded, b/c you ask us to spend ACTUAL $ on things, and it still doesn’t work properly.
I agree with whoeever said STOP ADDING if you can’t fix PREVIOUS ISSUES.
I’m gonna start looking for a SIMILAR game, and play that b/c I’m getting sick of all the problems.
I couldn’t load my farm for 3 days, and none of my neighbors would load, and I had to use FV cash to purchase UNWITHERS. VERY ANNOYING.

FEEDING YOUR DOG: To everyone who clicks the dog kibble in their gift box to feed their dogs, that is no how you are suspose to do it. You must click on the dog and the click feed. =) Dont worry I did it the first time too!

I had the same issue with my dog running away and clicking on the thingy to rescue him for 2 FV cash. Turns out, it take you to the marketplace where you have to scroll to the “pay fine” icon. I thought it just automatically took your cash and paid it, but you actually have to find it on the marketplace and “buy” the rescue your runaway dog. It took me a little while to figure it out but I finally got him back.

@Laura, to feed your Dog a “Treat” it must be an adult. Puppies cannot accept treats.

Ok, i fed my dog 14 days in a row without missing. Yesterday was day #14. He was there today, everything was fine. I get a message saying Congratulations, that i had finished feeding him and all that stuff about teaching him tricks. Then around a hour ago when i logged on he is missing. I can not find him anywhere.
My mom is having the exact same problem with her dog. Any clue what could be up?

My dog has learned to herd etc then one day decided to feed it a treat and now having to feed a treat daily even though it says 3/0 . Now I get a count down until next feed day but have learned all the tricksetc. Daren,t not feed it in case it runs away! HELP!

i have been feeding my adult dog for 12 days past the time that was needed to teach her the tricks and past the last 7 dog treats…my dog has been “too tired” to perform for the 12 days now and for some reason i am required to continue giving it treats each day…when will this stop? also…how can i get rid of the annoying pop up feed your dog in so much time message that continues to remind you over and over and over…i would love to not have any reminders at all…

Got 2 dogs. One is fed 20/0 times and still wants food. It says “Herd (COMING SOON)”. The other one is fed 13/0 times and of course … also wants food. It says “Harvest (COMING SOON)”. I also don’t dare to not-feed them because I don’t want them to run away. I want to know what happens if I don’t feed. And how much longer do I have to feed?

My puppy grew up quite awhile ago; then was given treats for 2 weeks . .and refuses to even shake hands! (He’s a Level 5). I don’t know if anyone else is having any issues, but Harley doesn’t want to do anything except sit around looking cute. I have additionl treats in my gift box in case more are needed in the future, but I’m considering selling them since giving them to him doesn’t seem to teach him anything, lol . .any ideas, pardners? The official Zynga Forum is useless (sorry, but that’s how I feel) so if anyone here has any insight I would appreciate it! Thank you:)

I completely understand everyone’s pain… I finished the last trick with my dog 2 weeks ago…. Tonight will be 24/0 for the resting…. Can someone please give input on how long this thing has to rest before doing the 5th trick…. For example harvesting on my dog? How long must we beg for treats….. I have had this dog for over 5 weeks now and still not gotten anywhere with it.

All right friends, haven’t fed my dog and although there was the dog-head-symbol with question-marks at the left side, saying “Your dog lost progress” or so, Billy is still on maximum “Trick” level named “Harvesting (coming soon)”.
You can stop feeding your dogs, they only lose their progress if you stop feeding them BEFORE they’ve learned all tricks.

If you don’t feed your dog for a day after completing the final training it will be able to do it’s trick.
I got a pop up box saying “Oh no, you didn’t feed your dog for a day and it lost progress” now my dog doesn’t have a count down to be fed and it says “Harvest Duck” instead of “Harvest (coming soon)”. I don’t have any ducks to harvest but pretty sure it will work.
Kind of a strange way to do it.

I’m having problem feeding my dog too. I get the dog bone treat above its head, but there is no option to feed when I click on the dog. Good to know I’m not the only one having this problem, but they need to fix the glitz. At least there needs to be a note on the fv page alerting us that there’s a software problem and they’re working on it.

@ Lianne – I had that too but I just stopped feeding him for two days and he stopped asking to be feed. He did not disappear so no problems there. I had accidently fed him after his training was complete being he was next to my other dog who needed feeding. but now all is good. So just stop feeding him and it wil be good.

same here, clicked on harvest 20 animals several days ago, and the dog is nowhere to be found. i used the second dog to harvest ducks, thinking to click “allow follow” before i did it, and he came back. i wonder if that’s why the other dog didn’t come back? because “allow follow” wasn’t clicked on? any ideas?

So I had 2 dogs, a border collie and a terrier. Both were full grown and completed all trick stages. I log in daily to check on them and my farm, but tonight when I logged on it told me I had lost progress with my border collie and now it’s gone. Anyone know what happened and how I can find it?

Hi everyone!
I had the same problem as you all. I fed my dogs and they gown up. Then I gave them all the treats they needed to do all their tricks but the count was just wired, start to count and ask for treats with no actually need for them 11/0. One day it just stopped asking for them!
But before few days from now I tried to give them a treat to see what happens and the problem came back again!!!! I don’t understand why they won’t fix it, does someone here have an idea what should I do? I’m run out of treats!

yestarday one of my dogs stopped asking for treats but the other one won’t.
This is annoying bug!
I don’t know if that is why it stopped but because they kept asking for more my treats were finished so the last one I gave it to the other one, and the one who stopped was left hungry. The day after he stopped asking for more.
Maybe that’s the reson maybe not, i’ll try to do it with the other one and let you know!

Angela, you are not alone. My dog only harvest ducks too. He sat at level 5 for months harvesting ducks before I decided to see what would happen if I fed him treats, thought maybe he would start harvesting something else, So far I have a feed count of 14/0 and am wondering if I dare stop feeding him. It’ll be out of my hands in a couple of weeks anyway as will be going away on holiday.
