Hey Dr. Green Thumb!
I made this little chart about breeding cattle in FarmVille. I don’t know if you’re really interested in seeing it, as I’m sure you already know all of the information on it, but I just thought I’d show it to you.
Thanks for all the great FarmVille info!

I’m sorry… but that’s just so obvious.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 2:41 pm
The pink patch calf is so adorable.. I wish someone on my friends list would get one loL!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 2:41 pm
Wow, i honestly hope theres not any players that doesnt get this concept
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 2:47 pm
well i have a question i have one of those pink new ones do i have to really buy 19 and one bull for me to get a baby one of those?? at 16FV bucks that’s nuts
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 2:50 pm
My question is, how many pink patch cows do you have to own before you produce a pink patch calf? Mixed in with the other cows, I wonder how often, if at all, you’d get a calf.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
Ox?
When?
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 2:57 pm
this chart was on farmville wikia
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:03 pm
tht bulls a player
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:03 pm
emm……. this is obviously too obvious – i mean you dont have to be a extra smart to understand that each cow come from it’s respective color
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
I apologize to those of you who appear to be dumber than a stump. “how many pink patch cows do I have to buy before I get a calf?” Are you people serious? Its a randomization. Buying more increases your odds of posting a pink patch calf, however you only need one. Suggestion, have 5 Dairy Farms and put it in each barn before you harvest it. Multiplies your odds by 5. You could theoretically do some cattle manipulation here, where you empty the dairy barn, put your pink patch cow on the outside with a bunch of bulls that are ready. Put a bull and the cow in, pull them out, a new bull and cow, pull them out. That way you are guaranteed a pink patches calf if you get any calf. I think the game may limit you to one calf per day so when you get it, just stop and wait for tomorrow.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:07 pm
It’s cool. Thank you.
Anyway…PPCalf is really hard to get. Just one neighbor of me have the PPCows. :/
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:08 pm
that bull is little whore
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:10 pm
Seriously? Someone needs this kind of chart?
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:18 pm
WELL DUH!!!!!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:52 pm
If you have 19 bulls and a Pink Patch Cow, would you get a Pink Patch Calf every day? Just wondering.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
It doesn’t work like that Aaron, but you’d probably get one every 5 days. I forget the odds, I think its maybe 1% per cow. So if you do that you you are giving yourself 19 tries a day. Not a bad strategy though.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
thought this was common knowledge ?!?!? =)
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 4:07 pm
you wouldnt get the baby pink patch cow anyways…it would go to someone whom adopts it!!!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
This chart is ridiculous, please remove it, it’s useless.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 4:14 pm
FarmVille Freak Mike.. you must be REALLY bored to do this hahaha.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 4:34 pm
I think your chart is very cute Mike! Thank you for posting it!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 4:44 pm
I think the chart is cute, even if everyone already knows which calf comes from which cow. Poor infertile Ox and Ref Cow…
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 4:45 pm
In real life, you can make a hybrid with domestic cattle and buffalo called a beefalo. Speaking of which, it would be neat if they let you put donkeys in the horse stable to make mules.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 5:17 pm
you can only have one bull per barn…
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 5:29 pm
I like all the charts… I’m one of those people who likes to check and then re-check facts. I already produced a new baby pink calf and I tried getting the referee ones, but the dang barns won’t let them in. Thank you for posting all this stuff, I’m really not sure why people get so upset about it, but it’s funny as chit!!!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 5:35 pm
Um, you can’t have any bulls in your barn. You can have 1 in each dairy farm though.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 5:36 pm
Common sense? DUH!!!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
I cant believe this guy worked hard to make us understand about breeding between cows …
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 5:51 pm
You know you have no life when….
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 5:53 pm
This is an embarrassment to the Farmville community.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 6:06 pm
but aaron you can only have 1 bull per barn
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 6:16 pm
Tis a slow news day in the realm of Farmville when we’re posting cow breeding flow charts. How about someone construct a chart denoting which chickens produce which types of eggs while we’re at it?
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 6:17 pm
maybe some people want to know what the calfs look like, thanks for publishing this!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 6:22 pm
Please remove this. It is NO news. If there is a chart about having mixed cows in a barn wth a bull and the percentage of what color calf you would get it would be more interesting but this is too obvious.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 6:26 pm
Thank you captain ****ing obvious
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 6:39 pm
woooooowww .. really?!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 7:17 pm
is anyone having trouble posting their ‘calf is born’ message on their wall.
also im having trouble with posting golden chicken eggs to my wall.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 7:21 pm
uh… Yeah… this is STUPID. Stop with all the charts&stuff… they aren’t really necessary. I’m sorry for the person who wasted their time making that chart. And the other charts.
… AND JUST WONDERING::::
When do they plan on RELEASING SOME NEW LIMITED EDITION ITEMS? Waiting is annoying.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 7:46 pm
Is this the “if you can’t say anything nice then say nothing at all” department? No I guess not. I’d first like to thank Mike for making up this chart. Whether I need to see it or someone else does, it is still constructive and trying to make the game easier for others. As for those that made the duh… you’re wasting your time… etc… comments, you are the ones wasting your time. Posting criticism on Farmville Freak instead of doing something constructive! To you guys I say “Get A Life!!!!”
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 8:07 pm
VERY NICE INFO!!!
never thought about that actually
and that BULL is really a player!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 8:30 pm

Can we get a chart to see what fruit we get from what trees next?
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 9:11 pm
i personally appreciate this visual aid… even if everyone knows this info… it’s a very well designed chart for the newbies… and it’s not like this chart being posted is hindering anything farmville related
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 9:12 pm
Is it already not known that you can’t have more than one bull in a barn????
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 9:29 pm
@ MM
Yeah! I need one of those Charts!
I already know which Calf comes from which Cow, but which Fruit comes from which Tree? That’s still a total Mystery for me!
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 9:34 pm
Thanks for all your hard work…Enough said…
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 9:38 pm
I don’t think its fair that the poor ref cows cannot fraternize with the other cows…
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 9:53 pm
JJJ is right, this was taken from farmville wiki
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 10:13 pm
I think I need a chart to show me what seeds to plant to harvest the plant I want. I just can’t figure out the whole planting and harvesting thing. If I plant raspberry seeds what are my % that I’ll get to harvest that plant?
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 10:33 pm
everyone here is so mean spirited, lol.
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 11:28 pm
FarmVille Freak Mike, I persnally would love to say thank you so so much for making this chart
its really cute. even though I knew what the cows made many didnt. My little brother has this photo saved and he loves it! He was so excited when I showed it to him
Thanks again!
Kayyy
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 11:29 pm
haha most of you are complaining that the guy that did this chart doesnt has a life, but look at you, complaining about that guy and writting bad things in a secondary webpage of farmville
personally i think that is worst
Posted on February 6th, 2010 at 11:41 pm
For all those with negative comments about this post, remember that not everyone is on the same level farmer and there are lots of newbies playing FarmVille. You would be surprised at the questions that I get via email which appear to be common knowledge.
Even if you think this chart is useless, you can at least appreciate the effort and design. If you don’t like it, move on. Thanks FarmVille Freak Mike!!!
Regarding the other charts and spreadsheets, we post them on FVFreak because even though some of you think they are a waste of time, many others don’t and actually request the information so I’m thankful for all the FarmVille Freaks that contribute their time in making these charts and spreadsheets to share with us all.
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 12:00 am
@ukky dude what is that! that is so cool!
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 12:06 am
Oh my god people get a life. It’s a humorous chart. Yes it’s not rocket science and everyone probably knows this already (or you know, they DON’T actually know that pink patch cows and oxen exist). But I am also surprised sometimes at things people don’t find obvious in farmville. So it could be informative to some people. But bottom line, it is funny and potentially useful to someone out there.
And really, it’s not an accomplishment to understand how this works, so why are people acting superior? Like reeeeeeeeeally. And we all have enough time on our hands to make something similar, otherwise we wouldn’t frequent sites like this one for “addicts”.
I think this chart is cute!
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 12:07 am
Actually, it is informative to me. I was wondering if there would be referee calves. And this tells me there aren’t. So that’s helpful. Thanks Mike!
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 1:06 am
not to sure who’s more dumb here …
The guy who made a chart stating the obvious …
Or the website for actually making a story about it …
either way it’s pretty pathetic.
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 1:35 am
SInce there is a SEND function now, people who want the calf for themselves, they can send a cow to a neighbor friend and ask them to put the cow in the dairy farm and when it produces the calf let them know beforehand so they can adopt it as soon as available. Just a thought
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 6:31 am
Does anyone know if you can get a cowbell from a Ref. Cow?
Also, when you harvest from your dairy farm, do you get a chance for each cow in the farm, or do you only get one chance per dairy farm? Does having a bunch of cows outside the diary increase my chances of getting a cowbell?
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 6:42 am
I just can’t believe how rude people are being. If you don’t like the chart than don’t say anything about it. Someone spent time and effort making it, and just because it isn’t useful to you doesn’t mean that someone else doesn’t need it. It’s not like you HAVE to look at it, and its not like looking at it hurt you or hindered you in some way. Get over it.
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 8:54 am
I love it. I took it as humor and think it’s really cute and creative.
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 8:55 am
ur all wankers no need 2 be so rude 2 tha fella !
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 8:56 am
Lucky bull!
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 9:06 am
Is the concept easy to grasp without a flow chart? Sure. So what. Mike went to a fair bit of trouble to complete this thing, and those of you who havn’t yet been exposed to such mundane things as the workforce will find that this is not, repeat NOT the most obvious flow chart you will ever see, nor is it any where near the most useless. Thanks, Mike. Nice work.
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 10:55 am
Nice work Mike!
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 11:12 am
when was the Ox?
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 11:29 am
Hey, it’s Mike!
I see a lot of you guys don’t really like this up on here. The story behind it is that I work on a lot of the articles on farmville.wikia.com. If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically an online encyclopedia of FarmVille information. I originally just put this up on there because there we HAVE to state the blaringly obvious for the new players. I just thought it might be fun to email it to FarmVilleFreak and have my own little article. I know this doesn’t merit as news or anything, but I thought it might help a new player or two.
Thanks,
Mike
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 2:41 pm
I have to go with a few other commenters here and say that this is very obvious lol If you didn’t know that is how it worked then I am scared there are people like that walking around… unless you’re a little kid or something. But honestly I bet most kids could understand that lol
One idea, me and about 7 other friends all agreed to buy a pink patch cow so we could have a chance at getting the baby one. =) All I want is the baby but I gotta do my part too.
Wrong section for this but where the heck are the nacho crops/stadium etc?? Cow referee ribbon?? Really bummed none of it showed up.
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 2:42 pm
Sorry Mike, wasn’t meant to be a dis at you. It is very pretty =)
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 2:44 pm
Farmmaniac, the Ox was in the mystery animal crates along with Buffalo, deer (buck), jackaloupe and pea**** (I might be forgetting one. I got one of each though, got lucky and didn’t get any doubles or triples for once)
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Is that bull on steroids?? lol
too much of hard work for himm….. well stop complaining about your work people
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 3:54 pm
OHHHHHH THANK YOU VERY MUCH! NOW I CAN UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING….
What a ridiculous graphic… come on, a 3 years old child could undertand that pink cow will make pink calves…!!!
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
That bull has herpes… OH NO!!! ALL MY COWS!
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 5:15 pm
Honestly, what purpose does it serve to be so mean as many of you? Yes maybe it is obvious, so?
I really like the chart, its simple to understand, has beautiful colours and I love that you added the infertile cows
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 5:17 pm
I didnt even know there was a PP calf! Its really cute! Too bad I prob dont have a single neighbour trying to produce them.
Only thing that would make the chart better would be an added chart with percentage/number of cows etc
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 5:39 pm
Perhaps this chart is for the 3 year old farmers. In all seriousness though, it seems quite obvious but perhaps some people, ie. newbies and younger players will find it useful.
There doesn’t seem to be much to talk about lately, anyway.
Oh, and to those who are criticizing the critics, pleeeeese. Get over it.
Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 5:49 pm
Pink patch calf is waay too cute.
Add me farmers : greendaylosdiosdeverde@yahoo.com

Posted on February 7th, 2010 at 7:33 pm
And here I was thinking a green cow made a pink calf.
Thanks.

Posted on February 10th, 2010 at 6:21 pm
is there any way to get a bull anymore?
do u have to adopt it from a neighbour?
Posted on February 13th, 2010 at 8:11 am
Well my friend has no alien cows in her dairy farm yet she managed to create a baby green cow how is that possible???
Posted on March 3rd, 2010 at 5:21 pm
I’m not sure if the referee cow is infertile. I have a dairyfarm with a bull, 2 pink cows, 1 pink patch cow, 1 alien cow (green), and 4 referee cows. It produced a regular calf yesterday. The only way to figure it is that the referee cow is not infertile.
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 10:37 am
Yeah I managed to place my Referee Cows in my dairy farm i wonder what calfs they reproduce ^_^
