Horse Stable Expansion is here!
You can now increase the capacity your Horse Stable for storage for Horses. Maximum storage capacity for expanded Horse Stables is now 40 horses. However, you will need to expand your stable a total of 4 times in order to achieve the final expansion, each time collecting a quantity of 10 of each building material.
Having more Horses will increase your chances of finding Arborists, Farmhands, and Foals.
To start your Horse Stable Expansion simply click on your stable and then click “Expand”. You will then be able to post a Facebook newsfeed that will let your neighbors know that you are expanding, and need their help for building supplies.
Once you complete your final stage of expansion, you will be able to post a Facebook newsfeed that says you have finished your expansion and up to 5 neighbors can receive a Gray Horse by clicking on your post.

“Horse Stable Expansion:
You can now expand your Horse stables to hold up to a total of 40 Horses! Your Horse stable can be expanded a total of 4 times. Each expansion will increase your stable capacity by 5 horses.
Each time you wish to expand, you will need 10 of each of the following stable parts.
- Wooden Boards
- Nails
- Bricks
- Horseshoes
- Harnesses
Clicking on share will post a feed to your wall informing your friends and Neighbors that you need materials to start expanding. When clicked, this will take your neighbor to the Free Gifts page where they can send you building materials for your expansion. When clicking “look inside” from your Horse Stables menu, you will now see a new “expand” button at the top of your Horse Stable information page. Clicking on the “expand” button will show you what you need to complete your Horse Stable expansion.
To start the expansion, open your Horse Stable and click on the “expand” button.As stated earlier, each time you wish to expand your Horse Stable, you’ll need 10 of each item. You can get these items one of two ways:
1. From neighbors via the Free Gifts menu.
Neighbors can send you the components you need to expand your Stable. Your Neighbors will be able to send you one of the five types of building components to help you expand your stable.Please note that the components displayed on the Free Gifts Page are randomized. As such, the components displayed on the Free Gifts Page may be different for each player. Each player should be able to send one component specific to the Horse Stable. When neighbors send you a building component, it works exactly like any other free gift. After you accept the gift it will appear in your gift box.
After clicking the “use” button under the gift it will automatically be added to your stable.2. Ask For More
When viewing the interior of your unfinished Horse Stable expansion, each component that you have not yet received 10 of has an ‘Ask For More’ button, that when clicked will take you to the Friend Selector page where you can select friends to send Gift Requests to for your chosen component.
3. Completing with Farm Cash
If at any time during your construction process you decide that you’d rather simply purchase the items required for expansion from the Market, you can do so. Once you receive 10 of any single building component, you’ll have the option to post a feed to your wall. The first ten neighbors to click this feed will receive a one of the same building component for their own construction. When you reach 25 items overall, you’ll receive pop-up that will allow you to post a feed to your wall. The first ten neighbors to click this feed will receive a random building component for their own expansion.
When you complete your expansion, you will receive a popup asking you if you’d like to share the news with your friends. Clicking the Share button on this popup will give you the option to post a feed to your wall that will give up to five neighbors who click on it a free Grey Horse.” (Source: Official FarmVille Forum)

I was thinking the same thing……of course if someone doesn’t mind leaving a bunch of horses outside the stable.
Or at the same time, if one fills their stable with rare horses then it will should actually be easier to get rare foals.

Five horses at a time for 50 materials?! That’s kinda crazy…..
With the chicken coop, it gained 20 each time, and you only had to ask for 10 people to click. Much more reasonable. If you’re going to make it such a low number of horses, you should only really need to collect a few of each item. :/

dang, thats 200 pieces in total, it says you have to expand it 4 times collecting 10 of each, each time, to reach the maximum of 40, nice I like it harder.

god, i wish farmville would just slow down, i am still building my baby shelter thing, and i havent even started the botanical garden but then stupid farmville already ended sending the garden stuff. and i just finished horse stable, but now i have through this all over again for and expansion!!!? >:|

I don’t mind the level of difficulty in collecting 50 materials for 5 horses; I mind that I have to pester my neighbours to do it (half of whom are on summer hiatus anyway). I’ll pass.

This would make more sense if they now release some more of the unusual breeds of horses as “wandering animals” that you could grab off of your feed…..I mean, do I really want MORE brown and grey foals? Additionally, it would make more sense if in conjunction, they allowed the nursury barn animals to “grow up” so that the new foals produced from the horse stable could go into the nursury barn. right?

I have mixed results on breeding since the Expansion but I am wondering if the real difference has to do with me trying to breed the new Appaloosa.
Here are my results on 2 farms that I breed the LE horses – I started the expansion on both of them last night. On each farms I have the white stallion.
This morning on farm A: – out of 13 tries – I got 3 foals (White, Pinto & Percheron) and 1 Arborist. This is a bit better than average in that I usually get 2 foals and perhaps 2 of the Consumables (Arborists, Farm Hand Xp’s)
On the other farm B- out of 11 tries, I got 0 foals and only 1 Arborist. I just got the stallion on this farm, yesterday but was able to produce 2 foals yesterday. The one thing I was doing different this morning on this farm from the other one is that I was trying to breed just the Appalloosa, not the others, so maybe that was the difference.
BTW – this 5 at a time expansion totally sucks. I keep my stable empty for the breeding but I am doing the expansion anyway since it is always easier to do it when everyone else is rather than do it later.

I don’t understand why we have to expand our stable 4 times and need an additional 200 items from our neighbors to get room for an additional 20 horses when we only needed 50 items to get the original capacity of 20 horses.

So.. we need to collect 200 items for this in total to get to 40. Say you have 10 good neighbors. Alright. You get 20 a day from them via gifts and requests. 20 a day. Thats 10 days. And that is stretching it! This is going to take forever.

Well, I´ve started the expansions yesterday, and I´m about to finish my third. It´s not hard when you have neighbours,, and you can also get some bonus materials when your friends finish raising or recah the limit of materials.
But I agree upgrading just for 5 horses each time gets a litle bi borring…

So what’s the answer to the not being able to expand situation? No ‘expand icon’ appears for me either and my gift box is full with items. What are we to do? Is the expansion only open to a few chosen farmers? If so, that’s not quite fair!

Does anyone know if they will increase the capacity from 40 soon? I am at 40 now, but still have at least 20 more horses. I currently have so many left over materials and don’t want to get rid of them unless it’ll be a while before they do.

I was a bit disappointed at first 50 items for just an 5 horse expansion, but with the way it’s now setup to ask for help for items, it’s easier. If you have alot of neighbors and are neighborly yourself it goes quick. I had it expanded to the max 40 in 3 days.

Nearly completed my fourth expansion and the “Ask For More” buttons have decided to stop working, I get a “Script Error” everytime I click the button so I can’t actually request any from anyone. This is a long arduous process and I run three farms and can send the pieces amongst myself as gifts. I can’t imagine relying on my friend to send pieces.
Maybe a week and a half before the expansion started I “sold” off a couple of leftover stable pieces from when I was building it initially, thinking they would be useless. That’ll teach me.
I’d really like to see more barn-type constructions to hold more types of animals. I like to use my land to plant crops and prefer having animals stored in structures.

I reciebed bitsthe other day ( stable wasalready (25/25) n now 4 X that ive full upgraded as the parts vanished, so after 3rd i contacted support n did 4th but still won add beyond25/25. this was forced onby FV. so far support have done 0 with complaint despite there so callled responses asking what i wasdoingn when etc. not playing again. Enough of my £ spent on thi game that they cant even run now but contimue to force us to by cash for certain tasks
