In addition to building your Nursery Barn for free with the help of neighbors, you may also chose to purchase a completed building with farm cash. Baby Foals and Calves can be placed in a completed Nursery Barn where they will remain housed and easier for you to collect.

For complete details on the Nursery Barn read below from FarmVille Community Manager, Lexilicious:

Nursery Barn:

Upon entering Farmville you’ll receive the following Message of the Day.After clicking the ‘OK’ button, you will be taken to your Gift Box where you will receive the Nursery Barn Foundation. You can also purchase the Nursery foundation from the decorations section of Market for 5,000 Coins.

Once you’ve placed the Foundation on your farm, you will be prompted with a message letting you know that you can post a feed to ask you friends for help building your Nursery.

Clicking the “Share” button will give you the option to post a feed to your wall. Up to 10 of your Neighbors can click on this feed to receive 100 Coins.

In order to use your Nursery Barn, you’ll need to finish building it. Selecting ‘Look Inside’ from your foundation’s menu will show you what you need to complete your Nursery Barn.

When you first place the foundation, you’ll have one Bottle already. In order to build a complete stable you’ll need 10 of each item. You can get these items one of three ways:

1. From neighbors via the Free Gifts menu.

Neighbors can send you the components you need to build your Nursery. Your Neighbors will be able to send you three of the five types of building components to help you complete your Nursery Barn.

Please note that the components displayed on the Free Gifts Page are randomized. As such, the components displayed on the Free Gifts Page may be different for each player. Each player should be able to send one of the two components specific to the Nursery Barn (Bottles and Blankets), and two of the components shared with the Horse Stable.

When neighbors send you a building component, it works exactly like any other free gift. After you accept the gift it will appear in your gift box.
After clicking the “use” button under the gift it will automatically be added to your Nursery Barn.

PLEASE NOTE: Since the Horse Stable and Nursery Barn share components, if you have both unfinished on your farm you’ll be able to select which building a component goes to when to click select.

2. Purchasing components from the Market,

You can purchase components required to build your Nursery Barn from the Market for 1 Farm Cash per item.

3. Ask For More

When viewing the interior of your unfinished Nursery Barn, each component that you have not yet received 10 of has an ‘Ask For More’ button, that when clicked will allow you to post a feed to let people know how many of each component you need. The link in this Feed will take them to the Gifting page where they can select a component to send to you.

When you reach 25 items, you’ll receive pop-up that will allow you to post a feed to your wall. The first ten neighbors to click this feed will receive a random building component for their own Nursery Barn construction.

When you complete your Nursery Barn, you will receive a popup asking you if you’d like to share the news with your friends. Clicking the Share button on this popup will give you the option to post a feed to your wall that will give up to five neighbors who click on it a free Grey Foal.

  • Once the Nursery Barn is complete, you’ll receive a Grey Foal of your own.’
  • You’re able to store up to 20 baby foals and calves in your stable and you may only have one Nursery Barn per farm.
  • Every 24 hours, you’ll be able to collect from the foals and calves stored in your Nursery. Eventually, you’ll be able to use the Nursery to grow your foals and calves up!” (Source: Official FarmVille Forum)

Do you like the new Nursery Barn? Send pics of your completed barn to farmgoddess@farmvillefreak.com and we will feature them on FarmVille Freak.

  2. Trudeaca Says:

I can’t wait until mine is built and I can start returning some rare foals to my neighbors! :)

  3. nishant Says:

yeah it looks great … another building with neighbours help :)
and also the tajmahal is in the market its awesome :d

  4. Priyanka Says:

This is so coool !! I luv it. Now our critters hav home of their own. Now we can have more space on our farm.. and they can be harvested in one GO. Definitely saves my time.

  5. Lola Says:

too bad i literally have NO. MORE. ROOM. seriously, i have like 20 plots left.

  6. Biff Boswell Says:

I wish they (the foals and calves) would grow up…you know? The whole cycle of life and everything…kinda what farming is about.

  7. Cesar Says:

OMG! they changed the tall grass! boo… i didnt like it! =(

  8. -HpLaR Says:

    w3w

  9. filthyus Says:

actually I wont put it on my farm at least not till they make 26×26 expension … there’s so many new thing I wish to have but in order to have them it’s either store some or deleted some plow … please I think it’s time to 26×26 :) )

  10. ParengHammon Says:

IT’S HERE. Finally..though it kinda stinks that I need to have parts for it T_T. So now what would the of the process of growing up would be?

  11. bust Says:

kinna defeats the whole purpose of havn a foal if u wanna hide them ?? even if they grow up i have plenty of horses and cows already this is a bad move. who the hell wants grown foals and calves ? i already have that andenough of them

  12. Kim Says:

Just make the dang farm a 50×50 or give us an option for a 2nd farm so the huge one doesn’t take as long.. Then we could have 2 “themed” farms that are separate.. or use one for storage and one for farming :D

  13. bust Says:

and it says to store calves and foals does not say anythng bout growing onto adults

  14. BH Says:

Also, but unrelated, the tall grass changed appearance with tonight’s updates…not sure if I like it.

  15. cipto Says:

    how’s the capacity? 20? that’s not enough…..

  16. S Says:

I have no room on my farm for it, why did they have to make it so big?

  17. Laura Says:

Who wants grown foals and calves? People who couldnt afford to buy the farm cash ones. And people who like to return the nice neighbors they have who gave away the rare foals/calves for free.

  18. Shei Says:

    please zynga we need expansion..

  19. ikillyou! Says:

IT STILL DOESNT HAVE A FEATURE THAT CAN MAKE THE CALVES AND FOALS INTO A “PRODUCTIVE ADULTS” WHICH ZYNGA TOLD US IN THE PODCAST!!,……

  20. nishant Says:

well this building is even larger than the horse stable :P

  21. Kailey Says:

any ideas on what we’ll get when its completed? Since we got a new/special item for completing the horse stables and french maison do you think we’ll get a new or different baby?

  22. lisa Says:

    yikes!!!!!! it’s so HUGE!

  23. Amber Says:

My only wish is for the feature that makes the kids into adults to cost FV$$$!!!! Call be a b1tch, I don’t care!

  24. Michael Says:

I seriously do not have the room to waste for this thing, maybe if I could put more cows and horses in their buildings I’d have room to spare, but adding that feature is to difficult for the morons they have doing the programming!

  25. Dusky Says:

I really don’t like the tall grass… it looked good by itself, this tall grass looks weird, like it came out of a mold. ;(

  26. Dazzie2010 Says:

They promise things in the podcasts but like polititions they either do not keep to thier word or deffer it until a later date which is just as bad & with all the problems they have with farmville which is thier premier game they keep rolling out other games & not sort out problems with existing games..!!!!!!

  27. Amir Zaker Says:

thanks for shering my picture :)

  28. Marvin3O Says:

@BH… I sent a picture of the changed grass… I hate it!!! i loved the old version!!!

    here it is

  29. FOOFOO Says:

MAN i’ve been begging friends like crazy to send me stuff for the nursery barn! And now that I’ve read it, all it says is EVENTUALLY they’ll grow into adults? WHAAAT? :( Does this mean that they haven’t introduced it yet? There is no use in rushing I guess..

  30. Paige Says:

I hate this sooooooooooo much. I spent 100′s of farm cash on nice horses and cows and now everyone will be able to get them for free. It’s really unfair, why don’t you make the workshop workable and give everyone all the nice free buildings too! Well at least my CHEAP neighbours will stop hasseling me for foals now. :( DISGUSTING FARMVILLE, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

  31. ts13209 Says:

First off, those complaining that they won’t be able to grow the foals and calves to adults like what was previously promised, I ask you,”Did you even read the story above the posts?” Obviously not as it said you will EVENTUALLY be able to do so at a later time. Let’s get these built and in use before worrying about growing the animals up. Also, the story stated you would get a grey foal upon completion of the barn, so that answers the question posed by Kailey.
I’d like to see the option to be able to purchase and build additional ones on our farms like the Maisons. At first that was FV’s word that only 1 was allowed. Later they changed that option and allowed others as long as you could get them built. I hope they change their thinking on this one an allow more than 1 as it will help those of us hat have a lot of foals and calves.

  32. highlander Says:

    “Cheap neighboards”

You can delete them! and stop crying! I have the patch cow and the Kellis cows and dont feel bad about all the people can grow up those calves.

One more time.. the kind of players are the kind of real people.

  33. MUFFY Says:

It only holds 20? Jeez, I have a gazillion!

I love the color, it’s so pretty! But it needs to hold 60 or more!

  34. OsCaR Says:

Im looking for neibours who have all the horses like me, I have them all but none of my buddies do so i will never be able to get any of the foals… anyone??

  35. MUFFY Says:

Oh, and I have 16 crop squares left on my farm and they’re about to go. A non-working farm………..greaaaaaaaaaat. FV, if you want us to keep spending money, give us bigger farms! HELLO!

  36. Javier Says:

I have 40 calves and they take less space than this building, that by the way stores only 20 animals… What’s the point? Maybe for the foals, but otherwise is too big. Please, make it cute and smaller, the size of the dairy farm would be ok. Zynga already changed the tall grass without notice, so it must be easy just to reduce it. Or give us more room, we need 26×26 as soon as possible. If it remains this big I’ll delete it once I get to grow up my rare foals.

  37. Dandino Says:

I Dont know why everyone has to b*tch about everything that farmville does…if you dont like it quit for crying out loud. Or go get a job at Zynga and ‘show them how to do it right”. 34 posts as i write this and about 30 of them are complaining about one thing or another..different ppl play for different reasons…get over it.

  38. Anouk Says:

Could we put lambs in it?
i think it should be for: lambs, foals, calfs!

i think should grow up tooo :(

and I don’t have any ROOM!!!! i want to expand .. but theres no more option :(

  39. ikillyou! Says:

this are links that can help you choose what materials you want to send:

    http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/gifts_send.php?gift=brick

    http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/gifts_send.php?gift=nail

    http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/gifts_send.php?gift=woodenboard

    http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/gifts_send.php?gift=bottle

    http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/gifts_send.php?gift=blanket

  40. Danny Boy Says:

Just to think of all the bricks, boards and nails I kept getting after finishing my stable and there I therefore simply sold…. I’m honestly not sure if I want to build this Nursery Barn. For one, I don’t have enough space on my farm. Secondly, the whole having to be asking friends to send you stuff is getting tiring. I understand that once your calves and foals become adults you simply give them away to your neighbors. Seems like a lot of work to simply end up gifting the resulting cows and horses. Even if we were to keep these horses and cows I personally already have all the cows and horse I need. I think I’m gonna pass on building this Nursery Barn. I find it kinda pointless.

  41. Danny Boy Says:

Dandino is what you’re doing not complaining also? hahaha. I don’t know why people get so upset over people complaining about the game. That’s what we do and we do it well haha.

  42. Em Says:

@Highlander but don’t you see she needs those neighbours to expand her farm when needed, to send her gifts so she can complete her nursery barn and other such buildings, she needs them to fertilize her crops and feed her chicken so she gets more XP, coins and eggs. That is why she won’t delete them … they are only cheap neighbours when she has to pass on the foals to them which again is really a choice.

If this is how these people are when playing a game, just imagine how they are in real life. Definitely not the kind of real neighbours or friends I want.

  43. Em Says:

@Danny Boy you beat me to that one LOL. I was gonna say the same thing.

  44. Danny Boy Says:

@Em, what I don’t understand is why she’s complaining about having spent hundreds of farm cash in horses and cows. I have 40 cows, 20 horses and all of them have been gifted to me. I could have twice as many but ever since I reached the maximum on my stable and 2 dairy farms I sell every new horse/cow I get. Why would someone spend farm cash on something that it’s so easy to get as a gift?

  45. Bora Says:

Who wants to grow the calves anyway?!? Where a cow stands you can fit 4 calves… Same for the foals too.. Not only it is MUCH LESS PROFITABLE, it is also a space killer!! Think about this: You have 16 calves that occupies a square of 2×2=4 plots. But when they grow, they become holding much more space, do we have it?! For the newbies, it might look cool as their farms are not crammed full of other stuff.. But personally, I could hardly find a space to put a new mystery box… :( (

THIS THING IS A SPACE KILLER!! GIVE US EXPANSIONS!!!

  46. ParengHammon Says:

Seriously, what’s the deal of people hating the fact that people could get free grown-up foals and calves through this time for free?

I mean, I bought my horses through FVC and somehow with these I could get more of them easily instead of spending more. This is actually a good thing should it happen this way. And besides you don’t get to keep the foals/calves you produce but your neighbors will..now should it cost them FVC to grow their foals and calves who would they be able to repay you that way?

So you guys actually alright with spending more on these growing up feature of this nursery barn than to get this more easily and cheaper? If so why put up a group a start requesting them rare horses/cows to be back again in the market for FVC then?

Really now, some people are just so so.

  47. Geolion Says:

farmers, this is a good thing LOL! idk why u cant see that, it better than them not having them at all , i agree we need more space and expansions to this building/ stable/ and diary. it looks like they are gonna bring the growing up thing soon! Also you cant complain about farmcash either that or they charge all players or they go bankrupt your choose farmers?

  48. Sara Says:

There will probably be an expansion option eventually. I for one won’t get it, annoying with the begging for materials and….i dunno, i want space for plots and decorations, not another (huge) stable.

  49. need expensiton Says:

i need more place not 26×26 but 30×30 is more appropriate and necessairy

  50. Amir Zaker Says:

    10 white stallion’s 5 pink hair pony’s and 5 brown pony’s :D
    http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/8049/nurserybarn.png

  51. Terri Says:

A b*tching farmer is a happy farmer. It’s the ones who stop talking and just delete their accounts that Zynga really has to worry about.

  52. ikillyou! Says:

whats wrong?! why cant i access with my farm when its loading its stop below the beta sign and then the loading bar will be gone!! WTF!! need help!

  53. Laves, S Says:

Stop crying about your cheap neighbours gettng the special horses.

when they grow up any rare foals and calves into adults, then they can start producing rare calves and foals to share with you!!!

  54. aven Says:

I haven’t put mine on my farm yet, as I haven’t got room – I’m one of the poor guys with only a couple of neighbours, and yes, I know I could buy a full size farm, but it seems like cheating, so I try to make maximum use of my space.
Currently, I think I manage to fit 16 calves per square, so the nursery barn needs to better that. It doesn’t seem to be anyways near. Might be useful for the annoyingly space hungry foals, though, of which I only keep one of each variety at the moment.

  55. 'Train Mespp Says:

When the nursery is full and is ready at 100% will a foal grow up then ??

  56. nathan Says:

i wonder if you can put the baby white tiger in it ????/

  57. rawa Says:

here is a picture of my finished nursery barn, cant wait til they grow up,

    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=282293&id=100000211543786

  58. rawa Says:

has anyone noticed that the lnks exchange isnt working right? when i post so only i can see my post, then copy to send the link it says foal has a home, cant be cuz no one can see my posting, checked a dozen times to be sure, cant see postings from others either anymore, everytime somthing new comes out we get glitches.

  59. Karen Kibler Says:

Is there any way that when we breed and get a foal that we can keep one before sharing. It is frustrating to have to share the foals and never get one yourself.

  60. lynne Says:

I would love the nursery barn. My problem is I can’t seem to get any foals from the wandering stallion. Anyone else having that problem?

  61. Kellie Says:

Iam trying to get 2 of each animal… so i guess ill only use this for extra i may find! but i really want to keep 2 babies of each babies! =D .. so iam not really all excited about this1!

  62. Jeff Boyne Says:

When I installed the frame of my nursery building, my easter basket was converted from having a rabbit and all of the easter things back to just a basket. Has anyone else experienced this?

  63. Shaggy Says:

Now we need somewhere to put pigs, Pigsty?
and somewhere to put cats, Cattery?

  64. skotsbox Says:

I sure hope that calfs do not grow into cow !!!
calfs are worth 90 coins which is a lot more than cows are

  65. Toni Says:

3 FV Cash, 1 unwither and much more… this really work:

    http ://apps.facebook. com/onthefarm/stimulus .php

    (remove space)

    does this work for you?

  66. Avilynn Lunalight Says:

    Probably not enough room

lol I have like 600 calves xD

  67. Cindy Says:

It’s disappointing how small the capacity of the nursery barn is given how much space it takes it up. I calculate that I can fit *72* calves into the footprint of the nursery barn, so with a capacity of only 20, it’s a space loser.

For me, I have a few calves and foals for their cuteness, and I don’t particularly want them to grown up (I don’t have any “rare” foals), so I think there’s a good chance I may *never* bother building the nursery barn.

I sure wish that Zynga would get to work on increasing the capacity for some of the existing buildings – like the dairy barn, flower shed and horse barn. They have been “coming soon” on the expanding storage tab for *months* now … I think Zynga has kinda forgotten about that plan. It would be helpful to have good home building for adult animals *before* starting to convert youngsters into adults!

  68. Sharon Says:

I cannot tell which brick is for the Nursery and which is for the Stables.

  69. FVFreakCody Says:

    @Joe Blow Primero*

  70. appleman Says:

why is it so big? seriously…..its bigger than the dairy farms. the stable is understandable, but the nursery needs to be made smaller so it blends with everything else.

  71. kitkat Says:

I had to sell alot of trees to make room for this Stable, I have no room for anything else. Please give us more expansions ASAP

  72. rawa Says:

sharon the brick is for both nursery and horse stable

  73. Dessy Says:

    I’m disappointed!!!! they don’t grow ((((((((((

  74. anle Says:

    need to upgrade nursery storage!!!
    20 is too small!
    :D

  75. xie Says:

isit a white foal will grow to be a white stallion ?

  76. ikillyou! Says:

THERE ARE LOADING PROBLEMS HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES!
ZYNGA, WHATS HAPPENING! IT STARTED WHEN YOU UPDATED A LOT OF THINGS THIIS MORNING!! HELP!!

  77. Tonya Says:

    Melikey!

  78. keto-farmer Says:

i like it, but i needs to hold more then 20… or allow us to have more. the building takes up more room then 20 calfs do.. just mentioning.. and when are the dairy farms gonna be able to be expanded..?

  79. Rowan Says:

Can’t wait till they grow up. How long does it take till they grow up?

  80. Marge Says:

Took 2 Boards and 2 Nails out of my Gift Box to use…and it only showed 1 of each when I went to look inside the Nursery? Do you think one of the Gnomes on my farm is confiscating them for himself? What a ripoff! :(

  81. skotsbox Says:

Why would they make the nursery take up more room than the animals

Not to mention if this makes your baby cows grow up
you’ll get less coins for them
baby cows are worth 80 the best pink cows are only worth like 18 or something
this is a lose lose idea

  82. Nadeen Says:

It’s such a huge building but only 20 babies, will there be an option to expand to store more babies…. I hope like 60 would be best or even 100. I look around at my neighbors we all have so many… thank you

  83. Gbalderas Says:

Some How I Got 2 Nursery barns Wat

  84. Gbalderas Says:

I Need A White Foal Anyone wanna to trade for 1 i got like all the foals ive been saving them look me up Giovanni Balderas on Facebook and pm me with the url and when i get it i will give u my url for a fOAL I HAVE ALL OF THEM EXECPT CLYDESDALE SO FAR OK

  85. Lauryn Says:

farmville loves pissing me off!!! they make a barn or a stable or something for like every animal but sheep. I have soooo many stupid sheep (i don’t want to sell coz they r like limited editions and stuff) they take up a 4×4 paddock!!! im wasting so much room on them!!! why cant they make like…oh i dunno… A SHEARING SHED!?!?!?

i really dont like the nursery barn because i like having the baby animals visible….they r sooo cute!! and besides, they r quite hard to get when only 2 of your friends have a stable or a dairy farm, so why lock them away where all you can see of them is a teddy bear???

AAAAND i like the stable and dairy farm because i can keep large amounts of the same animal without taking up half of my farm….but the nursery barn takes up more space than all of my calves, foals, and lambs put together!!!….and that reminds me… Why can’t lambs go in there?? like i said before….my sheep and lambs take up too much space!!

I really need to take with the farmville staff coz i have lots of good ideas!!! here is another 1: a cattery, we NEEED a cattery, you cant really put cats in a paddock coz it looks really weird….and when you leave them all over your farm they r really annoying to collect from.

sorry about this taking ages to read…OOPS just made it longer

  86. Lauryn Says:

oops talk** not take (paragrah 4)

  87. Scolova Says:

I’m with many of you, it is too large for holding 20 babies and it has always confused me how a calf or even a cat can pay-out more than a cow? … what are the designers smoking? … lol
I might build one and use it a little, but if I cannot store it, I’ll just end up deleting it. :-(

P.S. I hate the new tall grass, the old grass looked right for the game and was actually kinda cute.

  88. Phyllis Says:

A cattery???? Ha, Ha! A cat house in the red-light district!

  89. kenobi575 Says:

20 foals and calves? Nowhere near enough. I have more than that in calves alone.

When the growth function is added – then it will be practical.

Zynga needs to add expansion for dairy farms and horse stables; too many sprites slow the game’s loading down.

  90. zack Says:

    they should add pig pens

  91. Toni Says:

When we will be able to grow our calfs and foals?!

    And what that “Eventually” mind?

  92. Merry Gonsalves Says:

The nursery barn is nice! But why is it so darned big? I wish FV would pay more attention to scale, so things would fit better.

  93. Merry Gonsalves Says:

Forgot to add: When I installed the nursery barn, my Egg Basket turned into just a basket, no bunny, no eggs, just an empty basket. Still works the same, though.

  94. Virginia Rhodes Says:

Not a problem with FarmVille, just everything has a catch to it!!

  95. oi oi Says:

what is the free baby animal u can get when ur freinds complet this??

  96. piper38 Says:

I agree the new nursery does take up a lot of space, but I think that it is going to be a great addition. Much like real life farming, patience is needed as we wait to be able to raise them to full size animals. Giving them away to my neighbors, I have no problem with this, as many of the ones I have now were gifts from neighbors. I agree, having more space would be nice, and I’m sure we will eventually get it. I do have to ask one question, when are you who are complaining about all of this going to figure out that this game is not about what you can get but what you can give. Wow, what a concept. If your neighbors don’t help you than do what I did, weed through them and keep the ones that do, and replace the ones that don’t. Zynga does have a message board on the forums where you can post suggestions, if you all want them to change something go there and keep posting until you get what ever it is that you think the game needs. Much the same as when they took out the maison parts, enough people posted that they put them back, giving those who did not have a lot of neighbors a chance to finish their buildings. I have never seen so much complaining about something that basically costs you nothing to play. If your that unhappy find a new game to play, or better yet, try writing one of your own and see if you can keep the masses happy. I don’t mean to say that Zynga does, is always the thing most needed at the time, but they do a pretty good job of staying on top of it, and try to help everyone. Your never going to be able to please all of the people.

  97. badgebelle Says:

My understanding was that once the “adult” function was working, you would find an adult in the same way that you find a foal / calf in the other buildings. You don’t lose your babies. Also, as we are still waiting for the stable and dairy expansions (as previously promised), there is a more than likely chance that this building will also receive an expansion.

When new items are introduced, it is always a learning curve, for both players and developers, ironing out any glitches / problems that occur. I would love more room, but most of my “pretty” stuff is in storage while I concentrate on crop masteries. It’s a matter of priorities, and everyone makes their own. The amount of work that would go into creating a stable and working expansion (ie, one that people wouldn’t get into forums and scream blue murder about a glitch) for millions of farms would be massive (just consider the server space required).

As a player, are there things I’d like to change? Of course. I would love to have a lot of the items which are FC only to be also available for coin, but I know that this is how they make money, to make the game viable and productive. I would also love to be able to trade coins for cash. But overall, everyone chooses how they want their farm to look / run and sometimes choices must be made.

  98. Bette Levine Says:

How do you decide which/how many of each calves/horse foals to put in the baby barn? Does it make any difference?

  99. natassa Says:

How can I buy more than one nursery barns? I see that some people in their farms have two of them… How is that possible?

  100. Sandra Says:

Ughhh, Zynga, make it a bit more suitable. It is kind of REALLY tooooo big ;) my french maison looks next to it like a barbie house :D

  101. alexis nicole Says:

okay so FV really needs to have another expansion…also its needs to hurry up with the bigger dairy farms and the nursery really needs to hold more than 20 baby calves and foals. i have about 40 calves and 3 foals..i already have 3 dairy farms and i have enough cows to have another one. Also it needs more chicken coop expansions and horse stable expansion. and we also need bigger farms. i don’t have any room for the new nursery and my farm looks retarded because every thing is so crammed in.

  102. alexis nicole Says:

they should also add something for pigs…like a pig pen. i have like 30 pigs.

  103. Rob Gould Says:

Ummm why would anyone do this?
You can sell your baby calf for 120 coins…if you make it into an adult cow you can sell it for 15 coins….hmmmm let me think for a second…

  104. Xeek Says:

you can fit 63 calfs in the space this thing takes up. but the barn only holds 20. they better make the growing up feature happen fast

  105. ranz Says:

please make the (foals and calves) into adults they have to grow!!!

  106. humor Says:

To big for the space I have let…

    And ONLY 20?

They have to consider give us a bigger farm… 26×26 28×28 or 30×30

  107. Paul Says:

#64. Exactly! Calves are very cost effective ,so I have about a hundred of them. The last thing I want is for them to do is get “growed up”. The nursery barn is way to big considering it holds only 20 babies. I reluctantly built the nursery..squeezing it in. …managing to keep my 425 plots for crop mastery. My plan was to store the nursery. Oops. Not an option:P
What I really want is more land!

  108. Kathern Santosus Says:

OsCaR Ill Take That Offer Thats Just What Im Looking For…I Dont Have Friends That Can Return The Favor..

  109. Kathern Santosus Says:

I Want My Brown Bunnies Back…Any One Know If FV Is Planning To Return Them Back To Brown?? I Mean Why Would I Buy The White One When U Can Get Them For Free,,,

  110. emma-lee Says:

isnt anyone concerned that farmville is promoting FACTORY FARMING

Wont someone please think of the children LOL

but seriously isnt this just pretty horrible if you think about it, if these animals were real it would be pretty messed up

  111. Valerie Says:

When anyone harvests their nursery, are you getting anything from it? Mine was built the day after it was introduced, I filled it and have been harvesting it ever since and Nada! Nothing! Neyt!
Are you supposed to get points or something?

  112. karam tarek Says:

how much times we harvest the nursery barn to get the cow or the horse

  113. leslie Says:

I am sooo upset with FARMVILLE RIGHT NOW…it seems they change the payout for calfs and foals and bulls and maybe even horses who knows…All i know is that before I was getting about 80 coins daily for each..and now i am getting only 20 for each animal…is this just in my farm or everyones…no one seems to be complaining?? please let me know!

  114. meles Says:

    So – what’s the point?

The area is large and you can keep as many animals in the same space.

They don’t grow up there (I thought that was the point).

They’re marginally easier to harvest, but now we have one click harvesting, it’s not an issue.

  115. Jane Says:

Wishing the nursery was smaller to be more in line with the size of the stable and barns.

  116. spelcy226 Says:

Does anyone know if the animals are actually going to grow up in the nursery barn this is driving me crazy, i have a white fowl that i want to make in to a stallion so i can produce fouls of my own, my friends are just not posting the wandering stallion like they should.
So if anyone has rare horses please add me, you can find me as špela omerzel there are only 2 and im the one with the picture. I have all of the horses except for the brown pony.

  117. Rikomag Says:

lol some idiot said who wants ‘em to grow up.. well maybe you want a special foal/calf to grow up so one can get another of it.. NOOB

  118. Steph Says:

hey im new to farmville and i got the nursery barn, but after reading these posts, I was wondering about the rare foals and horses. What are they and how do you get them?

  119. Gina Says:

At first i was mad when i found out the cows i bought could give cute lil calves and horses cute lil foals to only other people after I paid the real life cash to get it… honestly if you think about it… it benefits us to have our neighbors be able to grow up the foals they got from us into full cows if they breed them because that means that those of us that paid for the cows can eventually get the babies to go with and then later on eventually people could keep some out all the time and others in their stables/dairy farms. Honestly I hope they do allow the growing up of the babies because I’d really like to get cute matches to the adults that I bought :) Then someday maybe raise enough to be able to put a couple out on my farm all the time and not have to muck with getting them out of the barns and stuff anymore. Think about this before you scream bloody murder and try to dissuade Zynga from letting the cows grow up… And yes if your neighbors are not the kind you want then you can always ditch them although … I think probably the person that is whining about people being cheap and not buying paid points is a worse neighbor to have than any other… Not everyone has extra money to buy “cartoon nicknacks” and I can talk when I say all this because before I was married the job i had i was lucky if i had grocery money left after the bills… Now I’m able to do a lil bit of frivolous stuff within reason… Don’t call people cheap because they don’t buy the points it could be they just can’t afford them and even the people that don’t buy the points help out with stuff…just by being neighbors even if they don’t gift…you get your expansions that way if you dont’ want to buy them with paid points… you get the items you need to complete the special things like easter… you get items you need to complete the new buildings they have… if you don’t like the people around you then just go make a ton of accounts and buy a bunch of stuff for all of them :P instead of insulting people for silly reasons. Sorry about the RAWRNESS there but i can’t believe someone would complain about their neighbors not spending real money on this stuff. I might like to do it and have the ability to but not everyone is willing/able.

  120. miss L Says:

“Eventually, you’ll be able to use the Nursery to grow your foals and calves up!”

Does anyone know if I Have to grow them up? I’ve got plenty cows, and I really love my cute little calves..

  121. Marion B Says:

every time i ‘harvest’ my nursery barn, I get nothing to be able to share with my neighbors. Anyone else have this problem??? I have a great mixture in there but so far no calves or foals at all. Same goes with my horse stable. Seems a waste of time to grab a stallion when all I get is coins whether there is a stallion in the stable or not.
As for zynga charging for stuff, I know it’s been said before, but it’s true. This game is a BETA, they shouldn’t be chargng for ANYTHING yet. Fix the game a little first for goodness sake! Half the time you can’t even get into the game

  122. Marion B Says:

Paige, people who DON”T pay ‘real’ money to by stuff in FV are NOT cheap!! I absolutely REFUSE to pay zynga for ANYTHING until they fix their game. have you not notices that FV is still in a beta stage? What I think is disgusting is that they can charge people when their game is still in DEVELOPMENT STAGE. And even if it wasn’t, that still does not make people cheap just because they do not fork out ‘hundereds’ as you say you have (I actually have opinions on that but I’l keep it tactful!) You sound like a real cheapster actually. Bet you don’t share much but expect everyone to send you parts and gifts. Yeah, I know the sort. Have had neighbors for months and months and send them gifts regulary and have never received one back. Oh, but that doesn’t stop they asking for stuff and putting requests in. Request deleted! Yeah, you’d be one of them i reckon.

  123. Neil Says:

I find joy in giving anything that I found in my farm or even gifting whether or not they’d be returned as favors, not a problem. But when I see people whining on little things it makes me think that these people are stingy and think of only for themselves. If in any case you don’t want to share then keep it to yourself, it is not important for me or anyone here be informed that you don’t want to share your stuffs. But DON’T tell your neighbor CHEAP! Not because they don’t spend cash on this game. If you are jealous of them cos they have some items you cannot acquire from them then get rid of them, like some says, you have the option to make another account and you can share everything for yourself.

For those of you who are not getting anything from your barn or dairies. I think its a game of luck! I have been collecting from them and I only got a grown cow once from my nursery barn. Although there are times when I get plenty of foals from my stable and sometimes a few only. Remember this is a computer generated game so getting foals or calves is at random. What I do to share, is having some kind of lotto or a game. lol Anyone who win the game will have a foal as a reward, so everyone who is with me is having fun. Its some kind of an interaction between my neighbors when doing it cos a lot of them are participating. :-) And the enjoyment I received after the game is their word of gratefulness. ;-)

  124. anna-lee Says:

in the last week, i’ve had a total of 2 calves ONLY from the nursery barn and NO horses even though there’s been a wandering stallion in there every day and i harvest every day. Has anyone else found this. I’m so peeved. What’s the point. And, the calves i do get are just the brown and pink even though I only have one of each in my nursery barn. The rest are all unique one’s.
so, are they giving us all this great new stuff yet putting the brakes on so the stable and nursery barn rarely produce?
Am just going to harvest my nursery barn & stable with a stallion in now and I guarentee there will be NOTHING as usual.
    Yep, once again. Nothing. grrr

  125. Jacob Says:

I think they should update it to hold lambs as well. I hate the fact that they cannot grow into adult sheep, lol. They should make a “shearing factory” to keep all your sheep in.

  126. nancy Says:

i need to get bottles to gift to my son..how do i do this???

  127. Derek Says:

How come i finished my nursery barn but i can’t put animals in it, it sucks!

  128. Jake Says:

I wanted to let everyone know that if you raise a young animal from your nursery and it becomes an adult you get to share an adult version of that with your friends. However, you do not lose the baby animal that “became” an adult.

I read a post from someone complaining and whining about losing baby animals if the nursery produces an adult….lol….I knew that was not true, so I waited until I produced another adult which was a few minutes ago.

My nursery was “ready” so before I harvested from it I checked to see how many babies I had. That number did not change after harvesting and refreshing my browser.

So rest assured, you will not lose any babies from harvesting the nursery.

  129. Stephanie Says:

Actually i have 23 babys in each of my two nursery barns !!!!!
does anybody know how this can happen ???

  130. Jake Says:

A few days after my previous post I did notice one of my baby animals “disappearing” after producing an adult. On previous nursery harvestings I had never lost a baby animal, which lead me to buy two nursery barns. I had over 25 baby animals. But after the big Farmville upgrade a few days before the 4th of July weekend subsequent fixes to correct the faulty upgrades have resulted to my losing my baby animals now. Weird, huh? Oh well. At least I produced a Holstein cow today.

  131. Corie Ross Says:

Seriously. Think about it this way.
Before every one was b!tching about how they should have other storage buildings for other animals.
    Voila; FarmVille grants it!
    Then you b!tch about it.
You constantly whine on how they should make new this and new that, expand this expand that, stop messing with other games wahhhhh!
    First off.
They try to make things better on the game, and you complain.
If your nursery or barn aren’t big enough EXPAND them like the rest of us a STFU.
And I have over 500 friends that play FV and guess what I’m STILL trying to scrounge materials for a nursery and stable.
You don’t hear me acting like a three year old over the matter. If you don’t like it, then don’t build it, or just get rid of it.
Stop asking for more, if all you’re going to do is whine.
Hundreds of thousands play farmville and b!tch about it.
There aren’t hundreds of thousands of zynga employees to grant your every wish.
Give them time. Stop demanding more. Make use with what you have for now.
They are trying as hard as they can.
Other games drag in more players and more money so they can employ more people to fix what you keep b!tching about!
So much more things to say about you three year olds!
And the pathetic thing is, I’m almost positive I’m younger than 97% or you morons.

  132. mikinna Says:

well i need to get more baby animals because i only have 2 . witch are a calf and a foal so i am breeding all of my cows with 1 of my bulls and all of my horses with my stallion but i do have the nursery barn and also i am buying a dog today and yes i know its hard work because i have a real one that is a trouble maker ! :)

  133. Joyce Says:

I’m making a stable now but I had to pay coin for it; it wasn’t free. I’m also working on the beehive which farmville did give everyone a free start. When you mention a free stable start and nursery barn start, is this when it was first introduced? Will we get free starts to the bakery, winery and spa that is mentioned in the farmers market? I’ve looked up the bakery, winery and spa on the web, but with everyone here as experienced farmville players, I thought you may know or give a good guess. Thanks for any info.

  134. Phil Says:

Why can’t I get a second barn, my neighbor has 5 of them. What is this? Different rules to the game for different people?
Smacks of discrimination, if you ask me.

  135. Sandra Says:

I got alle materials in my nursery barn completed, but it stay<s in level II. So I can`t put any animals in there and I can`t expand. Does anyone else got this problem? I tried everything but it doesn`t work.
    Need help:-)

  136. roberta Says:

why are they still giving me things to build a nursery when i’m done with it? also i’m finished with stable also. they keep putting the material in the special boxes.

  137. arjun Says:

how many days it take a foal to grow into horse in nursery………

  138. Veezna Says:

Kind of sucks that the rare foals or calves don’t grow up to be it’s parents. :/

  139. annieover Says:

Um…..it has been over a week, and none of my baby animals have grown up? Please advise thank you……..

  140. Renee Says:

Does the Nursery barn have to be full of baby animals in order for them to grow up into adults?

  141. Nicole Says:

I have no clue how to use the nursery barn i have. I have the barn built and everything but have no clue how to get the babies for it.

  142. Muse Says:

I wonder,, when will they turn into full grow animal..? Aiy,, really can’t wait to they get fully grow up…

  143. bree Says:

if i sell the nursery barn, will i receive the building materials back or will they all be lost?

  144. FarmGoddess Says:

@Bree- Your building materials will be lost. You will not get them back to use on other projects if you sell your Nursery Barn.

  145. Crystal Says:

I’m a farmville freak I play it every day and iv spent plenty of money buying farm cards and stuff but this game has one flaw that myself and hundreds of other people find unfair the nursery how when I put baby horses of rare or good breeds not the regular ugly blue Ponys or brown black and grey horses I’m talking about the cute baby horses like disco or rainbow or alien horse gold stallion and so on when I put only good baby horses in my nursery and they only can turn into ugly regular horses to grow up into now I understand farmville zynga wants to keep it fair for those who bought good horses with farm cash but what’s not fair is I buy with my farm cash good horses but what’s the point to buy these horses if all there baby’s turn into is regular ugly boring horses when put into the nursery hows that fair if I spend my money every week to buy farm cards to get good stuff atleast when my good grown horses make baby horses that are cute I should be aloud to grow them up what they are when there put into the nursery in stead of it turning into regular ones there should be a compromise meet us all in the middle make it were we can grow a good one up once a month or some thing

  146. jessica Says:

    dear sir
i have already completed building the nursery barn, but i couldn’t use it yet. so,if there is no problem, would you mind tell me how could i use it.
    thanks
    Jessica

  147. annie Says:

I have problems with the nursery barn! I can’t put the little foals inside!!The barn is empty…

  148. Angel Says:

Can anyone tell me why certain animals like the (pink saddle foal, gray baby yak, red heart calf) can’t be put in the nursery barn. It says that I have to grow them up with farmville cash and I cant keep buying cash for them to grow.

  149. jenny Says:

I like the baby barn, but the beauty is lost when you try to grow a rare animal only to have it become a brown horse. Its disappointing, Zenga explains this as being fair to the farm cash purchasers of adult rare animals, but how is it fair to anyone else and the farm cash users that actually want to share?

I want to know if there is any trick to growing up animals faster because I have harvested my nursery barn over two dozen times and all I get is cash and xp, which is nice, but I want at least one of my forty baby’s in the barn to grow up!

  150. jason Says:

i cant buy a nursery barn
