Farmville Owl and White Owl!

Farmville released a limited edition Owl and White Owl in honor of Halloween!
These limited edition items can only be purchased for the next 3 days and will expire afterward.
Sadly, both owls can only be purchased with FV$! The Brown Owl will cost 15FV$ and the White Owl will set you back 30FV$. If you decide to purchase, hold onto these Owls, as we all are hoping for a vaulting system soon. The re-sell value of the owls are not worth it as you only get coins, not FV$ for selling.
Neither owl produces or harvests anything because they are decorations only. Although, they do have the ability to fly when you click the “fly” command (see video below).
There is also a known issue going on with blurriness where the owls appear blurry. Refreshing the page may help.

i hope that sometimes we can buy some new features in farm coins, even if we want to have all those new features but it is really hard for us to have it because it is in a farm cash thank you….

they really are just bringing this out to make money because people usually dont have over 30fv$ like me i spent them all on the mystery box and i really want the white owl so i geuss its time do buy some fake cash lololol

Farm cash wasn’t a problem with the whole new customer service thing to assist you when you do free offer surveys. But they’ve cut back on the available surveys that you can take for free. Ugh. In the end, I had around 200 farm cash.

this isnt fair! alot of the new halloween stuff uses farmville cash. and like alot of my neighbours, we find it hard to get cash. none of us want to buy it with real money because that defeats the point and objective of the game and the amount of times ive tried to do the adverts, they do not work! please is there any other way, easy way hopefully, to gain farmville cash.!

I think it’s stupid that Farmville is mkaing so many things FV$ only. What the hell!? It’s hard enough as is to get it. I mean I like FV but I’m not spending any real money on it. They might start losing users if all they keep doing is making things exclusively for FV$.

Thats exactly what I thought when I saw these 2 new owls.
They should at least compromise and release one owl that is FV$ and another owl that can be bought with coins. Both being FV$ is stupid as a large percentage of players don’t buy FV$. Everyone should be able to enjoy new features and decorations so Farmville needs to think about how they release new features.

Heaven forbid the company tries to make money off of the game they’ve spent their time and money developing.
I don’t see the issue with charging FV$ for items. If you really enjoy the game, then there is nothing wrong with spending a few real $s to support the people who created and are maintaining the game.

@ Chris. It seems like most of the Surveys for FV$ have become trash. It’s difficult to find one where you do not have to sign your life away or offer your first born. I know it sux! If we find any “good” surveys I will be sure to post them on FVFreak.

I looked through the offers and clicked through fo rthe lovefilm.com sign-up. It was supposedly worth 120 FV. At the end there were no Fvs and now 6 days later there are still no FVs with doubleding saying I should try the offer again. Unfortunately it’s a once-per-household offer.
I am annoyed with doubleding. My wife tried to do surveys but they kept changing what she would get during the process and she got nothing at the end. Avoid.

I got no problem with them making some stuff FV$ and I have no problem with them trying to make a little money, that being said, check out the most recent things the Owls, and the Scaredycrow. I wouldnt even be angry if they were cheaper, but 15, 22, and 30 FV$. WTF. You get 1 FV$ per level. That’s a lot of work. Not to mention how the gas system works. I have the largest farm possible (so far), and I have 340 crops. It takes me about an hour to harvest, plow, and re-plant. They need to make the fuel system like the size system. Upgrade the size of your gas tank. I digress I realise, but my point is I’d need about 6 fuel refills a day, thats 18 FV$ theres no way i put down that much money for something that gets used up in 30 seconds. Make it easier to get FV$ or something, maybe you get 1 for every neighbour you have or something.

I bought a brown owl..purely decoration…no harvesting involved. It does a cute little flying circle every now & then…certainly worth 15fv! Love it!!

i don’t really get it.. it says its gonna fly away forever?
is it just gonna be gone after halloween?
cause i just bought one and i think it’s cute:D
but i’d prefer to sell it if it really flew away forever after these 3 days of limited time?! otherwise i’d lose the 500 coins i’d get for selling .

The owl will be permanent in your farm, but it won’t available in the market anymore after three days. Its best to keep the owl because selling it is not worth it.

I have noticed two of my neighbors farms have 3 birds???? flying around. I visit the farm and the birds are just flying. Are they birds or what? How did they get them?

I was trying to find out about non-flying owls also…did they forget how after Hallowe’en or something?
I have a brand new white owl but it does not fly – just ignores me when I tell it to. Lazy bum!
Pauline, I think you’re probably seeing bats – I have several on my farm as well…I don’t like the tombstone that comes with them – I try to hide that with critters – but the bats are pretty cool.

I think farmville should make another way to get farmcash-besides offers and actually purchasing them. don’t get me wrong, i know people buying coins and cash is how they make money, but to me it’s just a game-not somthing i want to put money into. it’s very hard to get farmcash. i just think they should make it a little easier for us people who don’t intend on putting money into the game.

Im sorry to tell you guys that Zynga should make some things with the FV$ because creating that items and animating it + adding it to the game it takes lot of time and work .
if you will buy it with farm coins which you get free from free crops ,
then where is they’re profit , you should be happy that they make the game free , and not with FV$ .
but what they can do is make a reasonable prices on the FV$ items
like 15 and 30 fv$ for owl , they can make it 5 and 10 …………..
