I like this idea better than having more than one chicken coops. They take up too much room. For people who have entered their banner in the contest: how long did it take for yours to show up on the site?

Take away that nasty chain link fence, then maybe we’ll talk. The current one is kind of cute with the little slots for the four chickens, but this one looks really realistic… and gross. Also, I don’t know how an egg is supposed to make a turn out of the door and then roll down the ramp into the basket.

Hello, actually I don’t like the “Rumored New Chicken Coop” but if I can have more storage for my chickens, it’s ok!
By the way, today I moved my garden shed and I received 2 more. Now I have 3 garden sheds! It’s awesome but do I have to sell 2 of them? I’m afraid that the FV gods think I cheated and delete my FV. Please help!

Hopefullu, this isn’t their way to make the ppl with extra coops have only one. Like they make us tarde out old coops for this one that woud suck scince I have 21 coops

Hard to believe a second coop will come out when they are plaining on expanding the current one, then again their development plan seems very ad-hoc.

I reckon they’re gonna make having 2 coops ‘legal’ and let us have 1 old coop and 1 new or maybe it’s gonna be the fully expanded chicken coop

If the original coop is anything to go by, each of those cubbyholes is 5 chickens, so this should in theory hold 30 chickens.

It has 6 places for chickens, so it will probably hold 6 times 5 = 30 chickens.

A normal upgraded coop should be able to hold 32 chickens, since the second star was +5 and third was +7……. so why are they releasing a larger coop which can only hold 30? And the old ones look better coz it fits in with the dairy farm.

i think it looks great and cool, maybe this will be the fully upgraded coop?
since it has 6 times 5 it must be 30 chickens, but it also have some space i nside the chain. so maybe it will be 35?

This Chicken Coop can hold 30 chickens (in my calculation).

This isn’t what the expanded coop is going to look like. Just look at the side of your coop now. There are two darker brown spots the same size as the hole where the eggs come out. Just like the barn expanded, these will open up when you expand your coop. Same as the dairy farm which has room for two more milk canesters on the side. This is a picture of what the coop might have looked like before the FarmVille designers decided on the smaller coops we have. Just like the pictures of the vila with the pool that are floating around. I could spray paint a cow purple in Microsoft Paint and post a picture of it on FVfreak and people would believe it…

this is just the original chicken coop design. It was probably scrapped because of its huge size and inability to make it look expanded.

I was thinking that maybe the upgrade would allow you to give out more golden eggs at a time. Like you put in more chickens and first upgrade gives 10 eggs per find and second gives 15 per find. it would help those who have lots of neighbors and eggs are gone in 2 seconds. (I have actually seen that one happen!) It would be very tedious to add and remove chickens though. It would just about kill that trick.

About 15 miles from my realworld house is one of the largest chicken farms in the world. Literally millions of chickens are in cages there in numerous barns. Chain link fences surround them but you’ll never see one of the chickens in the yard. The picured coop is real pretty compared to the real thing. Oh yeah, what happens to the chickens when they are done laying? Rumor has it that McDonalds and Campbells soup account for that. Hungry?

What are your plans for the new buildings? Will there be some way to intereact with them…like sending gifts at the post office, or buying things at the general store. Or will they be like the greenhouse…an expensive white elephant? Any plans to make things available to decorate a street?

Like someone else had said, this was the original idea for the chicken coop. Farmviller found this picture WAY before the coops were even released. They remade it into the coop we have today cause it was to big. They most likely wont have a new coop, just gonna make it expandable like the barns, sheds. Thats why there are 2 doors left on the side of the chicken coop, where the eggs come out, and the dairy barns got two holes left for milk collectors.

when i hatched a chicken egg(golden) it said “to remember {2}s come from Gold Eggs!” what does that mean? i took a pic but i dont know how to post it.

They mention what type of eggs can come from what type of chickens every time. It was originally to help people understand that the egg color matches up with the chicken who laid it. That way they would know they needed gold chickens to get gold eggs from their coops. I think the hope was people would get frustrated at trying to get a gold chicken through normal play and buy them so they could get the gold eggs. Right now I feel I have to apologize every time I post a gold egg because the prizes are so lame.

It looks pretty good to me, the ground under it is white so it appears to be on a winter lot and that’s not all that old.. I would love it if that were what the new coop looks like..

This has been out for a very long time now…. It was the original coop design but it took up too much room so they made the one we have now. Plus if you look at the coops, there is a little slide that an egg goes down. Well there are two more. Same with the Dairy farms, there are two more spaced for the milk. Why is this even posted on this website? This is the same situation as the “blue shelled turtle”

I agree with someone who said they found garden sheds when he decided to move his. I found the same thing happened to me when i decided to move my coop, and it wasn’t where they were saying it was supposed to be. I couldn’t figure out why i would harvest my coop and harvest my coop and then i decided to move it, and pulled out 9 coops. If they say that we might lose the coops that’s not fair. I didn’t cheat…i don’t want to lose my current coops, I produce eggs on a daily basis big time for people and I agree, the gifts coming from the eggs are getting riduclous. Some people get the good stuff like a pond, but gee you can buy one of those, or a gold knome, which i haven’t had the luxery of getting yes…but i’ll bet those who spend their own money have one. Just like those farms you see that have things that you can only purchase with fv cash. There’s no way in heck that you can have some of the things i’ve seen without spending your own money. And this is a game…I think it’s gotten way out of control, just let us play the game, and work our way up the chain…and let it not stop at 70, and open the darn 24×24 big ole mighty plantation. We are guinea pigs to their testing this is beta. What are you going to do next? I’ll believe this when I see it and we can just expand what we have just like the barns..But hey, we did all the clicking for sheds and barns for expansion and that was great, but you can only use one or the other…scam on that one. Believe it when I see it. But I do love this game, and am addicted to not only farmvile but a lot of the other games also. I hope that people can get on their farms very soon. I’ve got neighbors that haven’t been able to play for weeks, if that were me, I would go nuts. I’m a daily player, and I don’t want to lose my currrent coops…they were there because of some glitch same as the garden sheds. I’ve worked hard to get where i’m at….Wish you wouldn’t keep changing all sorts of stuff to slow us down…and make it slow we can feed more then 20 peoples chickens, and fertilize everyone. Ty, I didn’t mean to go on this long, but really frustrated.

I kinda don’t think this is real. White the Barn each time you upgraded it an extra silo was added to the side of it in order to denote more space with a max of 3 silos. It think that the coops and the dairy will just add another one of those top windows to the left and right of the main middle one. It just seems to be the farmville thing to do.

this isn’t the new coop! This was an idea for the first coop but zynga decided not to use it because of it’s size. I rekon the new coop will be like the barn (3 silos instead of 1 – 3 ramps out the side instead of one, they designed the coop for this purpose.

I agree about the flags being in white or brown eggs. The same for the small ponds…they are cheap and I have six and have sold probably more. If they want to make it exciting and rewarding put the large pond in the gold eggs. Better yet maybe FarmVille $$ MORE donkeys too! I want one! Maybe burrows to…. they would be cute!
