In a uncommon third update of the week, FarmVille “enhanced” to add a Wandering Stallion!

The Wandering Stallion is a new adoptable animal that you can find on your farm and share with your neighbors via Facebook newsfeed, giving them the opportunity to adopt. Although, if you find one on your farm, you may not keep it for yourself.
In some exciting news, the Wandering Stallion (and other Stallions) can be placed in your Horse Stable and possibly yield a Foal! Note, only one Stallion can be in your Horse Stable at any given time. We’ve all seen the unreleased images of the baby horses and now they are finally here! You can only have one Stallion in your Horse Stable at any given time.

“Horse Stables:
Periodically, you will receive a pop-up informing you that a “Wandering Stallion” has appeared on your farm. This pop-up will allow you to post a feed to your wall. Ten of your Neighbors can click on this feed to give shelter to the Wandering Stallion.
Unlike other “Lonely” animals, the Wandering Stallion is an event, and is NOT a permanent animal that can be kept on your Farm.
If you choose to give the Wandering Stallion shelter, he will automatically be placed into your Horse Stable. If you have a Wandering Stallion, you have a chance of receiving a Foal the next time you collect from your Stable.
If you already have a Wandering Stallion in your Horse Stable, you will not be able to get another. Clicking on multiple Wandering Stallion feeds from your Neighbors will not increase the chances of a Foal being born.
When a Foal is born, you will receive a pop-up informing you that your newborn is eager to explore the world. This pop-up will allow you to post a feed to your wall. Five of your Neighbors can click on this feed to receive a Foal.
The type of Foal you receive is determined by the types of horse in your Stable. Please note that the Pink Pony, Brown Pony, High Kick Horse and Spectator Horse will produce a Brown Foal.
Once you harvest from your Stable and find a Foal, you will have to click on a new Wandering Stallion feed to have a chance of making another foal.
The Limited Edition “White Stallion” can be placed inside your Horse Stable and will act like a permanent Wandering Stallion. Each time you harvest from your Stable you will have a chance to find a Foal. If you receive a Foal, you will not get a consumable. If you do not get a Foal when collecting from your Stable, you still have a chance of receiving an Arborist, Farm Hand or 100 XP.
Baby Foals can be brushed every 24 hours and cannot be placed inside your Horse Stable.
If the Wandering Stallion does not give you a Foal and you also do not get a Consumable, you will receive a coin bonus.”

Not sure if you have actually seen one pop up ton confirm but the message says, “if you find him, give him shelter in YOUR stable and later you may find a foal to share with your friends”
So it doesn’t like the standard adoptable animal you have made it to be.

I guess the foals are produced in a manner that is opposite to the calves. They are obviously mommy-dependent, apparently the foals are daddy-dependent.

Your only allowed to have one stallion in your stable.I went to click on one and got a message something along the lines of “Woah slow down there partner,you already have a stallion in your stable”because i have the white one?

i am wondering… if the stallion is a guy horse and all the other horses (pinto, gray, clydsdale, gray, pincheron) are girls…. was it pointless for me to buy a pink haired pony? i wonder if they’ll have a pink haired faol. and what about the regular pony.

I have 3 so far…all regular foals…it says that the brown stallion will not be permanent,…but the white one will act as a permanent one in ur horse stable to help u produce baby foals.happy i have one..

I and several of my Fv friends have successfully (or so the message box said) helped a stallion but it didn’t make it to anyone’s gift box. Is there a known glitch?

Joe- its not supposed to be in ur gift box…it automatically goes into ur stable ( but u cant see it) and then when u produce a colt the stallion will go away..and u will have to adopt another one in order to produce another colt…http://forums.zynga.com/showthread.php?p=4798947#post4798947

I adopted one as well, and its not in my gift box either. I heard speculation that maybe you don’t keep it? Like you click it and it literally “stays there the night” then is gone? Can anyone confirm they have actually ADOPTED a the stallion?

I think how it works is that the stallion leaves after the night is over.
There’s a chance to get a foal or reward money as a thank-you for allowing him to stay the night.

I found a brown one in my feed but it wouldn’t let me adopt it because i already had my white one in my stable.I did however produce my first little brown foal.

Handy if you haven’t finished your horse stable yet trying to adopt a stallion will give you 5 building parts for the stable.

I just grabbed a baby fowl from my friends feed. He is absolutely adorable. Can’t wait to see if my white stallion does his job tomorrow when it’s time to harvest the stable.

If you look at the info posted in the article on this website it says that you can’t keep the stallion. I get the impression you get it, it does the deed and then leaves. You can only help one stallion – presumable that is until a foal comes along and then you can get another.
I have 2 white stallions and it wouldn’t let me take the wanring one. So I put the white stallions in a field, accepted the wandering one and then put the twp white stallions back in my stable. It will be interesting to see what is produced tomorrow!!!!

i just found out guys!!! that when you get a stallion it wont show up in your gift box or your horse stable!!! because it happened to me!!! i got 1 and then that happened and then when i went and harvested it a produced a brown foal!!! but the problem was that my screen froze on that pic so i couldnt let anyone adopt it!!! totally sucks!!! all of my friends were getting excited! oh well…???

Just thought you all might want to know that if you click on a wondering stallion link in the feeds and you DO NOT have a stable built yet, they will give you 1 each of the supplies… pretty neat I think saves you 5 FV or waiting a longer time… right on Zynga

I can’t wait to see if my White Stallion produces a foal either! I have 1 Percheron horse, 2 Pinto horses, 2 Clydesdales, 3 Grey horses and 11 regular brown horses. I also have a brown pony but I didn’t put him in the stables since he produces brown foals just like the regulars. I also had a wandering stallion come to my farm so hopefully some of my friends snapped him up and i’ll get to adopt a foal today too!!!

I just got a grey foal off my feed today. Sure is cute. I was able to “shelter a stallion” for the night. Let’s hope I harvest a foal tomorrow.
If you click on the ‘Shelter the Stallion” post on your feed, it puts the stallion in your horse barn. It’s implied that it is there. There is not an actual stallion to remove from your gift box and place into your horse barn. If you shelter it for a night, yoiu have the possiblity of a foal the next time you harvest. If it doesn’t produce a foal, you get either a new coinage bonus, farmhands or xp bonus.

I don’t think it’s a 1 time thing though. I adopted a stallion last night, collected from my stable, and got a coin bonus. I went to adopt another stallion this morning and it won’t let me, says I’ve already got one. I think it’s just implied that he’s there in the stable, and that you keep him until FV decides to get rid of them. This concept is so weird, if we can produce babies, regardless of the wandering stallion or the white stallion, then why bother with a “mystery” stallion that no one can see? If every stallion can help produce babies, then it’s not like they’re just going to take this action away from us. I’d rather this work just like the bulls do, collect them from the feed, find them in our gift boxes and be able to actually see them.

Foals are really wonderful, i got 7, sold 1, because they took 4 time space then any other animal kid on the farm. All kids took 1×1 space and foals took 2×2 space in which i can put 4 calves….

@ Anouk – first you get a stallion from the game feed when your friends find it on their farm just like the other adoptable animals……the stallion goes directly into the stable and it doesn’t even show in the stable but its there so just relax
the next time you collect horse hair from your stable….you have a chance of finding a foal just like you find calves in the dairy farm. Five of your friends can get the foal if you share it. You can get a foal from your friends the same way 
and yeah one stallion works only once lol…you have to get another stallion for each time you wanna harvest your stable.

I bought another Percheron. (2 Percherons, 2 Clydesdales, 2 Pintos, 1 White Stallion)I hope they produce foals too. Anyone know? Too bad none of my friends have special horses. I won’t be able to get special foals, just regular grey and brown. Oh well…………..sigh.
Also, I added a few new friends but they don’t appear on the list at the bottom of the game and so I can’t visit their farms. When I visit the “neighbors” sections, they appear as “?” only and I can’t click on them, They appear in my FB friends and I can see their profiles but not on Farmville. Anyone know what the deal is?

@Canadagirl- Yes, you will get special foals! I saw a Clydesdale foal on my friends post, but alas she has a bajillion neighbors! I keep leaving my FB thing on so that I can get my sister a wandering stallion so I can get a a Clydesdale from her! @Canadagirl # 2- It did that thing with me for new neighbors, with the question mark. I noticed if you wait a few hours to a day, they’ll show up like your regular neighbors! I think that it takes FB and FV a while to register your new neighbors. I tried that little experiment right after I just added a new friend/neighbor, they showed up on my FB friends section, and then I waited a few hours and sure enough they showed up! The only other reason maybe they don’t have a FB account anymore?

Can you only have one stalion? Yeah okay, you can only have one in your stable but still… I have the white one. I’ve paid fv$ for that one and so I like it to be visible… And I can’t adobt the brown stalions. It does not appear in my giftbox. Why are they making limit on EVERYTHING? It’s driven me sick -___- I WANT A BROWN STALION AND I SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE ONE EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE WHITE! >__<

Toni g- add me Ramona Wale, i have a pinto, percheron, pink pony and lots of other farmcash items, my farm is very pretty (lots of neighbours told me that). I do have neighbours but i delete the dead farms and the people who dont really play, i have lots of empty spaces blocked by neighbours that i have deleted. I wanted to buy a few more percherons but i noticed that all of them are half headed
, feel free to add me who wants to trade baby horses, i dont have a clydesdale, missed it, now i regret it cuz it was cheap compared to the 20 that the horses cost now

Janise- i have that problem too, but i can check it out cuz my husband and i have our own computer, we added each other new, he can see me as a new neighbour by farmville, and visit my farm, its two days ago as we added each other and i still cant see him, even though i dont have that many neighbours. all my new neighbours that are in the invite window (not in the add neighbour) list it takes them to show up, if they are underneath in the add neighbour list you see them right awayx.

Looking for someone to exchange foals. I have clydesdale, pinto and percheron but a very few neighbours and they are not so horse mindet
I dont have a stallion (yet) but it seems that the beautiful wandering stallion visit daily. Prodused 1 grey, 1 clydesdale and 1 percheron til now, and coints today.

While the foals are really cute, I don’t get why each takes up more space that a bull. I can put 50 baby calves in the same space that I can only fit 7 foals in. This is ridiculous, 7 foals takes up about the same space as the horse stable. Is this what we have to look forward to with new animals???, I really don’t get it, the farms are way too small to house all the items that we collect. And since we can only store 100 items, thats no help. I guess we are just “SUPPOSED TO BUY EVERY NEW THING THEY COME OUT WITH, THEN SELL THEM FOR A FEW MEASLY COINS TO MAKE MORE ROOM FOR THE NEWER STUFF” this game is really not fun anymore, suppose its because I am at level 52.

i hope the dogs are in scale,that one french patio set wasnt and cost alot of coins,for something i just hide, the size was awful…sINCE THEY HAVE OFFERED THIS CASTLE FOR ST.PATTY;S DAY,my farm is castleville now, but is not complete with out some dragons and draw bridges,ive managed to make my own sea monster,lol, and draw walk with halloween fencing, i wont say how i made my sea monster,youll just have to come see it in the dark black moat.. I think farmville,needs to get away from so much cash… kat…

canadagir, I find this happens (adding neighbors then not seeing them at the bottom of your list of neighbors when in the game and when going to your neighbors tab, only seeing ?) when you try to add too many neighbors at once. I may be wrong but every single time i’ve done this (added a heap of neighbors at once) this has happened. So, what I do now, and yeah, it’s a pain in the butt, is just add one or two neighbors at any one time. They’ll always show up and won’t have that stupid ? instead of an avatar and name.
This is something that’s been a major issue since day one yet zynga haven’t done anything about trying to fix it.

Why do I rarely, if ever, get foals? I thought each time you had a stallion in the stable and it was time to harvest you get a foal? I’d be lucky to get one foal a month. 99% of the time I get coins, once in a blue moon I get the farmhands or xp thing. Really peeves me off as not many people seem to put up their wandering stallions much anymore. so it takes ages to try and track one down, then nothing but stupid coins which i do NOT need

Marion B: You have to Shelter the stallion when Your stable is already harvestable, so You have a lot of chance to get a foal.
