National Puppy Day, March 23rd: Could FarmVille Dogs debut today?

Today, March 23rd, is National Puppy Day!
Could we possibly see the FarmVille Dogs making their way to the FarmVille Market in honor of this day dedicated to puppies and specifically puppy adoptions? FarmVille Community Manager, Lexilicious, hinted in yesterday’s most recent FarmVille Podcast (March 22nd) that the Dogs would be coming VERY soon.
In the United States, National Puppy Day, as part of the Animal Miracle Foundation & Network, was started in 2006 by founder Colleen Paige. Her organization promotes the adoption of Dogs from Animal Rescues and Shelters and discourages the buying of dogs from Pet Stores supported by Puppy Mills. Every March 23rd, National Puppy Day recognizes the need for puppy adoptions and brings awareness to the abuse of dogs in Puppy Mills. Their mission is to
“. . . celebrate the magic and unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives. But more importantly, it’s a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills, as well as further our mission for a nation of puppy-free pet stores.” National Puppy Day

I doubt it. “Coming soon” is a joke in Farmville. How long did the 24×24 expansion say “coming soon”? 3-4 months?

I don’t think it’s worth waiting anymore. Our expectations grow and in the end we will all be disappointed because it will cost farmcash or you can only “pet” it. We already know how it might look like when it is released – so what are we actually waiting for? I was really excited at the beginning, but now it’s getting lame… seems like I am not the only one with his opinion.. okay, I won’t quit playing farmville
but it sucks and doesn’t make sense.

If this dog thing is taking much longer than they can take their shaggy dog and stick it up their ………. What the hell do they think how freaking interresting this dog is? Is it a super dog or what is all this dragging forever to get about. God its a damn animation of a dog, nothing special. Every farm here in germany has a freaking dog and zynga acts like its something soo super special, man this stupid dog better be good and not just sit around like the other animals, ohhhh, i bet they make that he can go pipi or something stupid that nobody really wants. Why dont they just release the freaking thing, and besides, the pictures arent that super either, not that hot for a dog that looks like a stupid childrens cartoon.

Zynga has some really bad marketing strategy with this whole dog thing. I was really excited when they first showed the “Coming Soon” screen at the BEGINNING OF FEBRUARY, but now it’s almost 2 months later and they are no closer to releasing it than before! It’s just an empty promotion and I am not excited about it one bit anymore. There is only so much teasing you can do before people get frustrated and stop caring. Way to go, Zynga!

Whenever you hear the words “Soon”, or “Coming Soon” from Zynga…you know that it won’t happen for several months!
Plus Zynga dropped the ball by not releasing the dogs on National Puppy Day. Way to fail Zynga…
I can’t wait for them to be released, since they will be Cash only and the outrage online might just break the Internet in half.
When your company is based off of GREED, and it has over 80 Million players a month…don’t you realize that they will pull crap like this (having so many real cash items) and expect A BUNCH of you to fall for it.
They keep doing so, because the cash keeps coming in. Thomas Tusser had something to say about fools and their money.

There was a link “To get your farm dog.”. Required a survey … OK…. Then you had to “register” and provide a lot of personal info. No ok!!!!
