When will FarmVille Puppies grow?
Last night was expected to be an eventful night on the Farm, many people fed their puppy for 14th time. Well, nothing happened. After much excitement, farmers have expressed frustration that their pups did not grow. Channel Zero (Official FarmVille Forum Moderator) said this in response to the complaints:
Once again, as I stated in the announcement from this morning, once the timer finishes counting down to the point where your puppy would run away, the counter should start to count up instead of down. Also, the puppy’s timer should show as the ‘Hungry In’ instead of the ‘Feed’ timer.
To repeat, your puppy should not run away, nor will you need to feed it any additional kibble to keep it on your farm. If for any reason at all, your puppy does run away after its 14th feeding, I ask that you PM with details including when you first purchased your puppy, what date you fed it for the 14th time, as well as when the puppy ran away.
We’ll keep you updated on when puppies should be ready to grow up, but for now we ask that you please remain patience, and to reiterate, once you have fed your puppy for the 14th time, you’ll no longer need to purchase kibble or feed it kibble regularly.

So, it would seem our beloved FarmVille Puppies will not be growing tonight. Channel Zero’s slightly vague post stated that we will be updated “on when puppies should be ready to grow up”.
Many FarmVille players expected a full grown up Dog after 14 Kibble feedings, but there was no ‘transformation’.When do you think we will have full grown FarmVille Dogs?

It will grow up whenever Zynga Gods feel it’s time for the puppies to grow up. And they will take their time, so that everything goes right. And still the process will be glitchy and farmers will get blocked out from their farms

Talk about d@mmed if they do, d@mned if they don’t.
When everyone was all “WE WANT DOGS!!!”, I’m surprised that Zynga didn’t just give up. Instead, it seems they pushed up the release date to stop people’s whining without working all the bugs out first. And now everyone is going to be all “MY PUPPY ISN’T GROWING UP!”.
For the love people, stop complaining and whining about everything and let the developers do their job. Constructive criticism is one thing, as are helpful suggestions, but clearly the whining got you nowhere.

I’m incredibly disappointed- the logical conclusion of fourteen days of feeding was the ability to transform it.
So glad I didn’t buy the FV cash dog-and sorry for the ones that did. If they didn’t want to give the impression that puppies would become dogs after 14 days of feeding they should have SAID SOMETHING when they rolled them out!
I was getting ready to buy more FV$ but I think I’ll hold off for now.

You would think that as long as we had to wait for these dogs, zynga programmers would have noticed this problem beforehand and been able to debug. Sounds like either a rookie mistake or shoddy programming practices. I wouldn’t be rushing to an IPO either with all these issues.

As usual a small technical glitch leaves a vocal few ranting for nothing. As if Zynga scrapped the idea of having puppies transform into full grown dogs as ^^ Carrie seems to imply. And besides, don’t these issues usually clear up in a day or two? People don’t seem to realize that the massive number of players might affect game play.
Anyway, farm more, complain less, you’ll look less stupid that way *hint hint*

Like many others, my puppy didn’t grow up. Huge fail on zynga’s part… They gave out a coin puppy, everyone was so excited for it to grow up and — nothing.
Hope they get it fixed soon.

Fed my puppy for the 14th time yesterday evening. Came back tonight and it says she’s hungry but there is no way to feed her. Even tried using the kibble in my gift box but no dice. I guess she’ll grow up eventually!
BTW, anyone having problems on farmville.com with their game feeds loading? It’s been 10+ days now and I can only see 1-3 posts, but I have 70ish neighbors.

So basically, they took their sweet time rolling out the dogs so “everything would be perfect”, but failed to mention that they hadn’t completed the grow process? Sorry but that sounds like a biiiiiiig fail.

My puppy was 14/14 yesterday! I never implied that they wouldn’t transform. I said that Zynga implied that the end result of the 14 days of feed would be a transformation.
Let’s face it–the process has been buggy through out, and this is just one more example of that.
And really, ‘hungry in’ and a counter that counts up? How on earth does that make any sense? It’s a stop-gap measure and it shows.

Yeah, i fed mine yesterday for the 14th time, when i went on my farm to feed it a 15 th time it said “Hungry in 26 hours”

please post if your dog says it needs feeding after 14 days and then doesn’t run away after 48 hours?!?! i really want to know if they run away so i can stop worrying.. i wouldn’t mind so much if they stayed on your farm
and umm yes, i have had loading issues… i have to refresh 5 or 6 times for my farm to load and if that doesn’t work i have to leave for an hour and come back… very inconvenient….
also why did they take away wooden picket fences?? cant they at least sell them?? i don’t want them to leave!! i use normal wooden fences and i use the picket fences in between as gates, looks great but as i change my farm and add more paddocks; i don’t know what to do!!! i’m not going to bother even trying to use white picket fences as gates.
lol JUST got an update on puppies saying they will now grow up after 14 days… i hope all of your puppies change guys =3

i agree with amanda (14) stop complaining!! they r doing great!!! it must be hard keeping farmville up, fixing all the glitches and releasing new items all the time without all of you complaining!!! I’m suprised they haven’t given up on pleasing all of us and stopped farmville! if you guys were a bit more appreciative; the fv staff would be so much better off!! so stop complaining and just enjoy farmville!! its a great game and i think the only complaining you should be doing is if farmville closed or about the land amount… in fact, forget i said that, they are probably sick of all the land complaining that they are upgrading it right now!

I’m just bug’d dat evry koo! “themed” item must be bought with FVC . Why can’t we use our coins to get some of them? & we seriously need to be able to upgrade cuz with da co-op I am making a lot of $$ but don’t have enough rm to have an awesome farm cuz I need rm 4 all my crops… I’m obssessed with get’n GOLD on evry job lol =o). Give us more upgrades or allow us to by anothr farm. I love my puppies! I ddnt ASSUME they’d grow up..lol.. I just loved da fact dat it would follow me everywhere!!! I LOVE IT!!
I’m also having trouble wit freezing. Its really frustrating when aftr 4 clicks I freeze! I thought it was my computer,but its not. I startd playing other games like FARM TOWN n I dnt freeze on those games. I stopped play’n CAFE WORLD, YOVILLE, & ROLLER COASTER KINGDOM 4 da same reasons. But I WILL NOT GIVE UP my FARMVILLE!!! So PLEEEAAASSSEEE fix it =0).

the border collie coined dog is very nice grown up, i like him, but i also spent 65 fcash on a sheepdog because i thought he was so cute, but grown up, he is so ugly. i didnt buy a retriever because i wanted black or white and they only had stupid colours, now i regret not getting a retriever, but i also got the terrier coined one, maybe he will be pretty when he is grown.

So…I know the coin puppy can run away. But, after it is full grown do you have to feed it everyday so it stays on your farm?
I have not purchased a puppy yet but since they came out with the cheaper one I am considering it.
