FarmVille released a Butterfly Collection set on 01.26.10.
FarmVille Butterfly Collection
You may have heard of this collection set previously on FarmVille Freak 
The Butterfly Collection set works like the other collection sets by rewarding you for collectables that you “find” while farming.
The Butterfly Collection includes (Thank you to FarmVille Freak Erica from the Netherlands for this information!):
- Blue Butterfly is a common from harvesting trees
- Purple Emperor is a common found in your fertilized crops
- Large Copper is a rare from harvesting trees
- Painted Lady Butterfly is a common found when fertilizing your neighbors
- Tiger Swallowtail is an uncommon found when fertilizing your neighbors
- Zebra is an uncommon from harvesting trees

Gives no details how to achieve or find the butterflies–a few more hints than–”Look for Hint” would be appreciated. which animals–which trees–which harvest–when during visits to neighbors?????some clue with a bit more detail!!!!!

Hotscoty, some people are just liers ….. i dont know what they get out of it
but i noticed here a lot of people saying impossible things like the one that said he got 26 FV cash from the mystery boxes … when we all know the best ever is 1 or 2.

the info on the collection is wrong! here’s the correct one:
Emperor – received as a gift
Painted Lady – fertilizing a neighbor’s crops
Blue Butterfly – harvesting trees
Swallowtail – fertilizing a neighbor’s crops
Zebra – harvesting trees
Copper – harvesting trees

I was wondering about the collectibles like cow bell and the one of the feathers. It says you collect them from harvesting chickens and cows. I haven’t had any show up for me yet. All my chickens are in coops and all my cows are in dairy farms. Can you still get these collectibles if the animals are in buildings? Or do they only show up when you harvest from the animals one at a time? Just wondering since I haven’t gotten them yet. Thanks for any help.

the buildings count too. i had several hen feathers collected from the coop. the that dam cow bell… is really rare… ’till now i just got my hand on one, and it was from a friend’s link :/

First of all collectables are so hard to find in that if friends post some rare collectables we are not able to accept it happened to one of my friend tooo.
The same collectable if clicked on the other day it says the collections are ended
Why can the superior zynga fix the glitch.

BTW the Purple Emperor is found by GIFTS from friends not by fertilizing crops

I have never gotten feathers from my chicken coop and I have multiple coops from the last glitch or cowbell from harvesting my dairy. Most of my feathers and cowbell have come from the links posted by my friends.
The collections are doable as I have legitimately completed 5 (meaning no help from the links that were available a few days ago) with 2 collections completed in the 24 hours. What I dislike is that it seems too random as I manage my mom’s farm most of the time and she receives many more collectibles from her farm than I do and yet I have more neighbours and fertilize more, have more trees and more animals, so go figure how Zynga calculates the randomness of it. Last night a friend posted 2 zebra butterflies minutes apart from harvesting her trees, while I have harvested to infinity and nary a one! So unfair at times, at least I got to collect one off her link!.

Thanks everyone. I do hope they make it a little easier to get these dang collectibles! It does seem like some people get a lot while others, like me, hardly ever get any!

Has anyone decoded yet which trees produce collectibles? I have noticed I only seem to find collectibles in ornament, fig and maple trees. Has anyone collected on any other trees?

you are correct debbbie. I got 1 Zebra butterfly from harvesting yellow maple tree. From harvesting cherry trees-10 caterpiller. On harvesting many trees i got only 1 blue feather

hi..i cant complete my feather collection with out this common hen feather!!i have the uncommon 1’s lined up actually..do i have 2 keep the hens outside to find common 1’s???
