I have just discovered that all of the giftable collectibles can be gifted at any time. In order to gift the dragonfly, green plume, and the gloves; first start out by gifting the needlepoint (or whatever is currently available), then go to the end of the URL and replace whatever comes after the equals sign with one of the following:
dragonfly
needlepointfarmhouse
greenfeather
gloves

I got sent a Dragonfly by a neighbour when they were first launched and then they got pulled. I tried to use the Dragonfly and got a ‘limited edition over’ message and within 5 mins of that they were relaunched – and no-one sent me another before they got pulled again!!!
Dragonflies need another live period or I’ll never complete the bugs collection

I only got 4 Dragonflies or so. Would be frustrating to not be able to complete that collection cause of the missing Dragonflies. I hope that they’ll be receivable or discoverable in the future again.
(I don’t like the fact that i depend on my lazy neighbours).

I got a dragonfly sent to me as a gift, but when I tried to claim it I got the sad cow telling me that FarmVille was having a problem and it disappeared.

Does anyone know how we get the other stuff that ISNT free giftables??? One of my neighbors already got all the bug collection yesterday but has no idea how he did it, it just was there. I have some things but I don’t know how to get the missing items.

I am pretty new to the game. Can anyone explain to me what happens with the Farmville GIfts such as the baby elephant, villa, etc.? None of my neighbors seem to know. What happens to them and what do we have to do to actually get them? Thanks for any help!

This is semi off topic but I’m wondering if we will ever be able to “re-gift” items in our giftbox? Or maybe even do trades? I’ve got awesome things in my giftbox that I already have on my farm. I hate to just cash them in. Seems like a waste.

I think they should return the dragonfly…b.c it was only for like a day and most ppl didn’t even get it..
I didn’t either..is there any way I can still get it..?

Nevermind about the Free Fuel and Elephant. You can “send” it as a gift, but when you neighbor tries to open it, it doesn’t show up in his gift box.

idk how but i got a glove today! I thought it’s gifting starts on 20th January! any ideas?
the other thingy: you can send needlepont and dragonfly to some neghbors. if u have one of them unaccepted,just click on send a thank you gift after accepting gift! they will receive their new collection item!!

If you type Brown feather, or red feather at the end of the URL, it comes up with the option to send red feather or hen feather. You can’t receive the gifts, but I’m guessing it means that these will become available later…

i think there will be a butterfly collection because when you put “paintedlady” at the end of the url it shows up but it doesn’t work yet.

I have a lot of friends sending me free fuel. When I go to accept it doesnt show up. so the gas cheat is worthless.

When you complete a collection you get 250 xp, 5000 coins, 5 fuel, a collection item and you can share with friends and they get a collection piece too!

Heyy ppl,
I gotta cultivlator?, a needle point, a dragonfly, and green plume and dapple plume feather… when ever i keep fertilizing other ppls crops i keep getting cultivlator.. wat else can i do 2 get more collectablesss????

This seems to have stopped working. You can send the gifts with the above links but they don’t end up in the recips gift box. At least not the dragonfly as of now.

I have confirmed that this works. I tried sending an elephant, but after you accept the gift, the elephant never shows up in your gift box.
But at least you can still send Reindeer’s.

The URL trick was working when they rolled out the christmas stuff, i was able to send expensive FV$ gifts for free
But, few days later they fixed it, now you can still send anything, but it’s never received after accepting the gift request.
So, don’t bother.

Donkey, Elephant etc don’t work but gloves did, I guess that they have to be in the gifting database still – either in advance or not yet deleted.

Does anyone know if it does any good to get multiple items in your collection? Should you delete them or just ignore them or accept and store them? I have been given about 50 each of the free gifting ones!

DJ – You can have multiple completed sets, and trade one at a time in for a reward, so accept as many as you can.

I wish I would stop getting the same items over and over. Outside of giftable collectables, I have found/grabbed 26 and have yet to complete a collection . They ought to have a different item released based on what you need. I am getting tired of this feature!

Some of the ones from fertilizer are difficult to get, but I’m having a harder time getting the cowbell, twine, and most of the feathers…I’ve traded in five collections in total, only three of which counted towards the ribbon…it’ll still be a while before I get the blue ribbon.

Ok gonna ask the one question no one has asked here yet I have had a tough time finding two of the collectables the twine and the cowbell, Is the twine from harvesting sheep? And the cowbell lol I would assume from milking cows? If anyone can shed some light on these it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance=)

Let’s talk about the future of collectibles…
I am tired to get the same stuff from the feeds. Also going to fertilize all possible neighbors and never get any of cowbells and other stuff…Why keep and dumping my gift box with collectibles that I never match to complete a collection? Seriously I suggest the end of collectibles since Zynga developers are not giving attention to that.
If I could delete that collectibles toolbar ….
