FarmVille Freak Banner Contest
UPDATE! Thank you to all who participated in this FarmVille Freak contest! Apologies for the delayed announcement of finalists. The top finalists will be revealed Thursday night, January 21st and the voting will begin for a 24 hour period.
FarmVille Freaks! It is banner contest time!
If you think you can design the best FarmVille Freak banner, let’s see what you got! Voting will determine the banner that will represent the site officially!
There aren’t that many rules, but the Doc recommends:
1. When submitting images, the higher quality the better.
2. If you feel the need to farm while working on your banner submission, don’t suffer, go harvest your grapes.
3. Try to make the banner fit inside the rectangle (approx 985px length by 248px height), this makes it flush with the site.
4. Don’t forget to help raise a barn, git-r-done!
5. Make all submission to banner@farmvillefreak.com
6. Check FarmVilleFreak for a new update to the site: (Hint: I C U )
7. You can submit more than one entry if you would like.

All submissions must be emailed by 11:59 PM Central Time – Monday – January 18th 2010
We will reveal the top 5 finalists at 7:00 PM Central Time – Tuesday – January 19th 2010 Thursday, January 21st 2010. Voting will also begin at that time!
Voting will end at 7 PM Central Time – Wednesday – January 20th 2010 Friday, January 22nd 2010
And of Course! You will get a prize for coming in as number 1! Winner will get 115 FarmVille Cash!

I know this is off subject, but I need help…. Half my neighbors havnt showed up for months, and when it lets me to the neighbor page most are blank pics. I dont know what to do but there is many close friends that dont show up, so I cant fertilize them or visit their farms. Any suggestions??

It doesn’t have to be special theme , and if you read , Not Seasonal , as it gonna be A Standard one for long time a a logo

I have a good question. What program do I use to open a PSD file? Another question I have is what is a good program that I can use to make banners with? should try to get your hand on Photoshop, that is THE program to do this kind of work, and also opens the PSD file.
Maybe you can get a trail somewhere, or just download it..

Thanks Rob, I will look for a program like it on the internet. Photoshop could be one of a million programs. You put me on the right track though. I need freeware or maybe I can ‘crack’ the case of the missing program from my computer, feel me? Thanks again, can’t wait to get my 115 farm cash!!! 8~)

I agree with one of the comments about the voting. It’s always rigged or influenced by popularity, not merit. I know, since I’ve entered and won competitions on other sites by simply having my friends vote a million times.

Hello everyone!
We have already received some wonderful entries so thank you to everyone that has already participated. We can’t wait to see what comes next, so I encourage everyone to enter that is thinking about it.
To answer a few questions…
Contest Reward:
The farm cash will be sent through PayPal because the “send gifts” function has been disabled by Zynga. If you do not have PayPal in your country please consider still entering and if you are the winner we will determine some other method on how to reward your prize. Otherwise, if PayPal is available in you country then this is how you will receive your prize so you will need a PayPal account.
Banner:
The banner specifications are listed in the rules within this post. The banner should not be seasonal as this will be a banner that we are using to represent our site throughout the year. You can send in as many entries as you want, but only one of your entries will be used if it is a finalist.
Voting Process:
We are aware that voting can be a “popularity” issue which indeed is not fair. However, we at FarmVille Freak handpick the top 4 or 5 entries ourselves. Then, we allow the FarmVille Freak community to vote on their favorites. The voting system is regulated so that you may only vote once. You will notice that if you attempt to vote again or multiple times, it will not work. I can assure you all that any of the top entries will be worthy of being a banner, so whoever wins will be fine with us. In response to Frank, I can already tell you that NONE of the finalists will “suck”.

Noel,
Zynga, Inc. (the makers of Farmville) raised over 1 Million Dollars for Haiti.
Farmville Freak (a FANsite, made by a FAN of the game) is doing the banner contest. they did NOT raise the $1,000,000, and prolly don’t make that much (if any) money from the site. So… the fact they’re giving 115 FarmCash is quite generous.
