Even though Zynga first said that Super Pumpkins would be available until February 2nd (via a FarmVille Pop-Up), then changed to January 30th at 11:59 (Pacific time) according to the most recent FarmVille Podcast, they are no longer available in the Market.
FarmVille Super Pumpkins R.I.P.
The special Super Pumpkin crop seems to have gotten an early retirement.

Please Please Zynga gods please bring them back… I was so close… I know I’m a farmville freak… but i was even setting my alarm to wake up to plant and harvest these just so I could get my mastery. Why do they promise something so bittersweet and then take it from us… I think Im going to cry!

UGH UGH UGH!!! *sigh* all that time i coulda been planting forget me nots, but nooooooooooooooooooooo…i tried for the mastery on super pumpkins…only 200 more to go…*sigh* that stinks and the first day with all the issues, i only got two crops done…this TOTALLY stinks!!!!

I am very pissed off right now, they release the podcast, and out of the blue they say the pumpkins will end today. At least they could have said it a few days before this. I was just one harvest away from getting my mastery. Even if they bring them back, what assure us that our progress will still be there? What if we have to start all over again? Seriously I’m annoyed…

Was so mad when they did this, I was 1 field away from mastering them and then i was 2 minutes to late so i never got my level 3 mastery, wish they could bring them back, when they siad feb 2 the next day they said it would be extended even longer because not all users could buy them (including me) but instead they made the time to buy them shorter, by cutting it down 2 days, I was expecting add 2 or 3 days not taking them away! :’(

I was 1 harvest away too, and had I known I would have planted them and stayed up to harvest.I planted at 7pm central- 12 hr crop because they said they extended. Lies.

I was really close but aside from my personal woes, this is crap.
They first say Feb 2, which shouldn’t have been cut short, period.
Then because of techinal screw-ups they claim they’ll give it a little extra time. I missed them saying Jan 30th (which again, is another date they couldn’t wait for and cut short) but there was no reason for this. Not one. I didn’t hear the podcast but did they at least explain WHY?

I got a message saying that Super Pumpkins were available until FEB 2. And With the “EXTENSION” that FarmVille Promised after all those glitches on the release day….
I”M SUPER SAD and SUPER CONFUSED and the premature departure of SUPER PUMPKINS.
I was so close to my mastery.

I am disappointed. I was working hard on that mastery and was on my third star. I can’t understand why they would delete it early. It can’t be overwhelming demand because it’s just computer bits and programming. Anyway, I will continue to hold out hope that they bring it back, but it is a real sad thing that it’s gone.

I AM SOOOOO PISSED OFF RIGHT NOW! I, like many stayed up late, set alarms to get get up in the middle of the night, etc. to try and master this crop, and now that I was ONE HARVEST AWAY from mastering it they pull it early. This is complete BS… they better bring them back… damn fools. SCREW YOU ZYNGA!

I got screwed!! I was one crop away from Mastery Status on super pumpkins. They did not expire at 11:59 pacific time, but at eastern time. Not sure that I will trust the Farmville gurus again.

I am so mad right now. How can they do this? They tell us one thing and do something else. We should still have at least 4 more plantings of super pumpkins to go, but they go and discontinue them almost 24 hours early. I will never purchase farmville cash again.

Again another reason from Zynga to help me justify NEVER ONCE giving them real money. I am about to launch a Farmville Boycott page. Their heads are starting to get real big after all the media coverage. What happened to when they made the game so it was fun and enjoyable. I now find myself more frustrated at this game than anything else.

I have some planted that are at 50% right now that when they finish growing will complete the mastery..will it still let me harvest them and will I get the sign? Does anyone know? I planted about 30 mins before the expiration time.

This is BULLCRAP!!!!!!!—I’ve paid alot or real money into this game—they had trouble with the damned SUPER PUMPKINS from the very start—they extend the time period to saturday night becouse of all the problems, which even if they didn’t extend it, i would still get my mastery sign tonight if the freakin SEEDS were in the market, i listened to the PODCAST—she said SATURDAY….I’m not DEAF…i know what i heard.

IN MY OPINION, this challenge wasn’t designed for EVERYONE to be able to get the sign or mastery status. It was for the elite few who took careful planning and strategic measures to make sure they got it. ANYONE could have been a part of that group.
I AGREE That Zynga half arsed the time and didn’t communicate well… But EVERYONE still had enough time to get it if they really wanted to. I think the only people who have a right to complain are those who planted multi-day harvesters, for there was no notice at all. One could argue that they could have deleted all their plots and started again, but that would just be a cruel argument to make. AS WELL AS those who were not able to plant the pumpkins the first few hours; this puts them at the worst disadvantage.
Yes, people have other obligations, but arrangements can always be made. I work eight hours a day, so I had a trusted friend harvest and replant for me while I was at work. This wasn’t meant to be a lazy challenge, it was meant for you to really buckle down and WORK for it.
Hopefully in the future this will encourage people to get on the ball and buckle down SHOULD ZYNGA GET IT TOGETHER and work out glitches beforehand so that everything will run smoothly.
Okay, I’m the bad guy people are going to yell at, but I stated points from both sides of the story, and this is my OPINION. I guess let the flames begin then, since so many people around here only like to yell about what isn’t fair or right.

this might be the dumbest thing they have ever done. They have pissed off a LARGE group of their players for no reason. When the original date was listed as Feb. 2, they should have just stuck with it. To change the date to earlier without notifying anyone (at least i never got a notification) was obviously going to piss off some players….Hopefully it was something that was pre-programmed to end at a certain time and they will have it back on their tomorrow….otherwise it could get ugly for them

Nothing will ever be ugly for Zynga. New players come everyday, most of them nieve as to what’s been going on, message board virgins, and, by the time they get to Farmvillefreak, this whole mess will have blown over. In the meantime, Zynga will still go on making money and people will still continue playing.
I say everyone just calms down, takes a nap, and MAYBE when they wake up it will be fixed, if not, then I’ll even join in the Zynga bashing.

This is sad. I am in even sad mood.
In order to get the mastery, i hv to crack my head to clear space. I had the wise idea of storing my Villa. I stored it. Planted a few plots in its space. Then, i wanted to store the hot air balloon but my store is full. So i had to sell the gold soldier. The worst thing happened:
The villa is in page 1 of the storage and same position (upper top corner) as the page 2 gold soldier. i clicked sell…and to my astronishment, i was credited with 50,000 coins! I sold a 1 million villa for 50,000 coins. Muz be the dumbest farmer of all and I guess i am the only one who did this in the 50miliion farmers.
Is there anyway to reverse and get back my villa? Can i appeal… ALL THIS BECAUSE OF THE DAMN SUPER PIUMPKIN. : (

I’m so bummed. I had 2 1/2 stars–so close to getting the mastery sign. It’s 10:47 pm here where I live. I’ve been setting the alarm, too, to make sure I got all my plantings done. This kind of stuff takes a bunch of the fun out of farming. If I had known I wasn’t going to be able to reach the mastery level I would have planted other things to get the level with the crops that I’m already close to achieving. I thought the deadline was suppose to be extended because of all the glitches that had been going on.

I wasn’t as close as some of the other Farmville Farmers, I had maybe 4 more crops and I would have had my Mastery on it. What was the reason for ending the Super Pumpkins early???

I will forever remember the special crop called “Super Pumpkin”! Wish i could have a fertlized-non-withered pumpkin and keep it like my white corn. A sight to behold! Love the orangery feeling. Like the Orange of Tennessee and Texas! Woot.
But i still cant get over it yet. Lucky i hv 1.3M in my a/c. So, i bought another Villa and got 1 level up as compensation.

So I was harvesting..and me being me I wanted to check how many more untill my masteries sign, and to my suprise they are not there…so I stoped and checked FARMVILLE FREAK, and learned they were gone…I was getting more mad as I read, and thought IF I DONT GET MY SIGN I AM NOT GOING TO INVEST ANY MORE RL MONEY INTO THIS DAMN GAME!…After calming down, I went and finished my harvest, and to my SUPRIZE I got my masteries!! THANK GOD!!!! Honestly if I didnt get it I would have to think if I would even want to spend my time on zynga games anymore! But thank goodness the last 3 days havent went to waste for me…hopefully there will be more out there that are like me! and get it…

I harvested the last field of Super Pumpkins after they disappeared from the market. They still give mastery, and I DID get the sign even though there was no way to see the number of stars. *phew*

i got the mastery sign but was very disappointed when i opened my box and saw how it looks. it looks just like the regular pumpkins, only its a tad darker in color. no big loss guys. sorry you didn’t get it, and wish all the best of luck farming!

This is my first post here, got sucked into FV early Jan. I thought my harvest would have given me my first mastery, stayed up so late for this! ugh… I was SOO close, a little sliver away from it. I do not know how to tell exacts but that bar was almost full, I only needed to plant a few more…then POOF.. vanished! With to much time on my hands, a plantation, even spending real $ for fuel (swore I wouldn’t use real money$), the fan glitches and constant resets I was not able to get in time…and I swear my life revolved around this game. Thanks for letting me vent. This is probably a good thing, I was truly turning into couch potato, think I will get my life back now. Won’t do this again.

Is the crop count accurate for you all? It looks like my large harvest 30 minutes ago is not counted. I swear the bar was almost full when it vanished as I was plowing. Now that its back its saying 1412, the bar looks like 5 hours ago, not almost completed like 30 minutes ago. If that made any sense, I am tired!

This is crazy!!! It’s like a little kid who can’t make up his mind. I get up to rotate my crops and I can’t find the Super Pumpkins. I’m thinking, “What the hell happened to them?” I check this site, find this thread and feel just like everyone else – happy and sad. So go back to plant and in the middle of planting up pops the window “Farmville has been enhanced. Please refresh.” NO! It can’t be that! They didn’t just bring them back! Sure enough, there they are. No more than a minute after I get done planting more than half my crops with 8 hour tomatos……Unbelieveable. I’m not sure if I’m more happy or mad.

YAAAAAY!!!!! I’m a happy farmer again— PHEW—-i’ve never harvested, plowed and seeded so fast before, just in case they dissapeared again. I wasn’t able to access them when they first came out. The next day, I had access and great news, they’re available to the 2nd. Yea!!! Going for the Mastery!!! Wait…now I find out it won’t be the second, it will be the 30th.
Ok. I go to harvest at 2:00 am to see how close, and guesse what! No Super Pumpkins. Typical. I plant a 16 hr. crop and give up. When bam. Needs refreshed. So I refresh just to find out the Super Pumpkins are back. Debated whether to delete all of my plots and replant. Decided NO! I’m sick of these Super Pumkins! Zynga can keep their stupid sign! Really tired of getting shanked on this game.

Super Pumpkins appear to be back, for anyone who is still interested (as of 3:16 am EST).
I managed to get my mastery sign *just* before the original expiration, but like everyone else noted, Super Pumpkins were then taken off the market.
I just got the ever annoying “Farmville has been enhanced yada yada yada” notification, and when the game reloaded Super Pumpkins were available to purchase again.
So if you can get over your angst at the Pumpkins being taken out of the market, hop back over to your farms and get planting again!

Firstly, mine is still on my market, but secondly, I gave up when Zynga was taking them down earlier than I thought originally. No way would I waste any more time on a game stressing about a digital crop. I have a life to enjoy and classes to keep up with, after all. Once they said the pumpkins were going away that soon, I went back to planting long term crops.
Honestly, guys: IT’S A GAME.

I got the SUPER PUMPKIN mastery. But was very disappointed to see the mastery sign. Its same as the normal pumpkin which i already have. Zynga should have been more creative atleast here. All farmers who didn’t get it, you didn’t loose much. Just another pumpkin mastery sign, thats all.

I was 120 away because I decided to go to bed and finish in the morning as the said to extend the time. I was very sad in the morning, so I planted other crops and now the pumpkins are back! So I deleted the needed space immediatelly, I don’t want to miss the opportunity when I got so close. I’ll have the sign in 4 hours.

I mastered them late last night but only because I was stupid enough to get up in the middle of the night and literally plant them every four hours for the few days. I know a lot of people who were trying really hard and like lots of comments above were really close.
Zynga are going to pay a really hard price for this. It is unfair and they should have stuck to their word.

I’m really happy that they brought back Super Pumpkins….But its really going to make me SUPER SAD if this is last day…

I am sooooo pissed off right now! I was up at 1am this morning, harvesting and replanting … SUPER PUMPKINS that I THOUGHT I had a whole nother day to work on! I needed this last day to earn my sign! I couldn’t do ANY SUPER PUMPKINS the 1st day! All I needed was 2000 more …. just 5 more harvests….. one day’s worth!
When lo-and-behold, to my surprise, the Super Pumpkins were GONE 23 hours EARLY!
I just hope that FarmVille will EXTEND the remaining time for the SP by 8-9 hours so that all of us that were so close, including myself and my FV friends, an opportunity to get the sign!!

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THEY SAID IN THE POD CAST WE HAD UNTIL SATURDAY MIDNITE PACIFIC TIME TO DO PUMPKINS AND THEN FRIDAY AT MIDNIGHT EASTERN STANDARD TIME THEY WERE GONE AND THEN THEY REAPPEARED EIGHT HOURS LATER. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET MY SIGN DUE TO ALL THE PROBLEMS ON THE FRONT END AND WE ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH OUT OF SYNC FARMS AND SAVING OUR FARMS. IT IS FRUSTRATING AND THIS POINT NEVER ENDING. IT IS TAKING THE PURE JOY OUT OF THE GAME AND FV DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE. SOME OF MY NIEHGBORS HAVE GROWN TIRED OF THE NEVER ENDING FRUSTRATION AND STARTED NEW FARMS ON OTHER GAMES AND ASKED ME TO JOIN BUT OH NOT OLD LOYAL HOUND DOG ME REFUSES, FOR THE MOMENT. I was about to post a comment last night because my last batch was 43 minutes from ripening when Zynga pulled the SuperPumpkins. I harvested them anyway but even though they were gone from the market it still counted the mastery and I earned the sign.
The good news for those that were screwed is that the SP’s are BACK. I don’t know how long they’ll be around, so good luck to those still need to get them mastered

2 hell with there limited crops not to mention their footballville items.
Is it farming or sports. LOL

I saw the pumpkins go away friday night for a tiny little while then came back. they are still there for me. I and my mom did master them on Friday morning. Yeah! Thanks to my mom for doing them all day while I was at schooll and setting alarm to get up in middle of night. Sorry to those who can’t get them. Hopefully it was just a mistake and they came back for everyone.

oh my bad didn’t read all the posts. Guess they did come back for every one. and everytime i hit a sight all i see its whining. I stored a whol bunch of items to make room for more plots to assure iot would master before times up because glitches do happen. Its a Beta sight right now so they can find glitches and mistakes. Anyone expects things to work perfect is mistaken. Stuff happens. Get over it and be thankful its a free game. Its not like we suffered a massive earthquake and lost our families and houses. Its a game, and free!

Another thing is people freaking out right away when something goes wrong. I was a fan of farmville my pumpkins didn’t show up, so before whining on a website I simply removed myself as a fan the became a fan again. 3 minutes I had my pumpkins. People stop panicking and think first!!! Also I didn’t get mastery credit on a whole harvesting. 435 plots. Doesn’t mean i go to a sight and start yelling I hate Zynga. You must like it enough to keep playing. Quit crying unfair over a game. I am sure many people have it worse in the world then you do. JUST STOP. NEGATIVITY IS A DISEASE IT FESTERS…CHILL

…got the mastery, but what now??..did i really work to get mastery so that the crop can be pulled in a few hours? This sign really isn’t worth the effort I put into it, I could have done without the sign after all, as I have chosen not to master most crops under a certain level as it is simply a waste of time for little XP and little coins.
Next time Zynga lords decide to pull this stunt I am opting out. In any case unless something major happens such as XP or new crops I am stopping in 4 levels when I get to level 70 so let me gear up to say bye bye Farmville! Why continue, if Zynga is doing nothing to entice players at the highest level of the game.
Zynga, you have had enough time to get out of Beta and I am simply not going to spend cash on this game anymore if Zynga cannot make wise choices.

when the plug is pulled on SUPER Pumpkins, I would have only been 185 away! Due to sleep, work and family … Limited needs to be a tad longer especially after they pull the plug once friday and changed the date from feb 2 to now Jan 31!! This SUX, I’m so UPSET I’m debating throwing in the towel on FV!

I am glad that they gave us one more day for the super pumpkins. When they had briefly took it away (which I wasn’t happy about in the least) I planted aparagus. Then I saw that it was back. I couldn’t believe it! Well I figured that I would plant it again after I harvested my aparagus because it you got a good amount of coins and XP though I didn’t think I would be able to get the mastery sign. But I did!!! I planted the last crop about an hour before they took it off again. I got the mastery sign with only three extra crops.
