The FarmVille Dogwood Tree was released on 03.18.10.

FarmVille Dogwood Tree
It costs 4 farm cash and is a non-harvestable decorative tree only, meaning it does not yield coins. However, it can be stored like other decorations.
If you are having trouble locating the Dogwood Tree in the FarmVille Market, look under the “Decorations” tab.
It may look familiar since it was featured on FarmVille Freak as an unreleased item

It’s a shame it can’t be harvested! I won’t buy any…
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:36 pm
This is pretty, i think ill buy one. I like placing the decorative trees around my house area.
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:36 pm
Oh, one more thing! I’ve noticed, in the photo, the little leaves/flowers underneath the tree… The other tree you posted as unreleased at the same time as the dogwood tree (the pink one) had the same thing… I guess that one is gonna be a decoration, too…
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:37 pm

Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:41 pm
No Dogwood tree listed in my market.
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:44 pm
Princess, the Dogwood Tree was hard to find! Look under your “Decorations” tab. I will update this post to include that information.
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:48 pm
LAME, total BS, why are these trees F$ ??? now if it was 5 F$ and we could then buy any amount for coins it would be OK, but to buy 5 is the same as buying as mystery box.
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:55 pm
Thanks Farmgoddess. I wouldn’t have thought to look there!
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 10:55 pm
I BOUGHT IT, IT IS PRETTY!
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 11:25 pm
It’s pretty but… FV$… =/
I would have gotten some otherwise.
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 11:52 pm
Ugh im sick of everything being fvc. I wont be buying it even though it is really pretty.
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 11:53 pm
Verrry pretty!!
Posted on March 18th, 2010 at 11:53 pm
like i said in unreleased dog wood topic, they will be with FV, and i ahd right, it costs 4 Fv, but i will buy it anyway i like it..
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 12:07 am
It is very pretty, and I’ll probably get one at some point or another, but it is too bad it doesn’t harvest.
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 12:14 am
man
i cant believe it! too many trees and animals we wont have………………. think im through with this game soon
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 12:18 am
they need to make alot of the items that are for sale for f$ also for sale for coins– even if it is alot of coins i would be more willing to buy more stuff
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 2:14 am
now everything new can be bought only for FV…that s*cks
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 2:23 am
Another tree that costs FV cash…sigh…they are realy milking us.
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 2:59 am
I will wait for the dog to be released and see what that costs. If it’s a reasonable amount of FV cash, I will buy the dog. If not, I can decorate my farm with some nice trees.
And to everyone who is complaining that this again costs FV cash, just think about the fact that FarmVille is already giving you one free FV cash every time you level up! Plus some people find them in mystery boxes! I also play other games like Country Story and PetSociety and none of these games give you free cash! None!! So I am really happy FV does this already when leveling up.
If you really need a dog or other things that costs FV cash, just pay the amount. It’s not that much money. In stead of buying a lot of candy or buying a new dvd this weekend, instead you can spend the money on buying FV cash and you will get the dog, tree or other decorations in no time.

Beautifull but not yields anything and cost fv$,i won’t buy it!
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 5:52 am
I think it is very nice and have bought one to place on my farm. Depending on the cost of the dog, I may buy another.
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 6:18 am
I just received one as a gift, it’s very pretty but it’s very small for a tree.
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 6:29 am
It’s nice, but I’m waiting for the dog before I invest in the tree. It’s pretty, but I’m not really that into it.
)
And for the record, I haven’t gotten any farmville cash for my level-ups since about Level 19, so that point is moot for me. (I’m at level 38 now.)
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 6:30 am
Why wouldn’t they make this harvestable? And what’s up with almost everything being cash lately? I’ll spend it on things I really like, but this is getting a bit much, especially with the animals.
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 6:39 am
Kate, that’s messed up, contact FV about that. There’s a glitch with you.
(That dog better not really cost 60FV……hahahaha….that’d be hilarious!)
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 7:06 am
Kate you can try to contact them but they have really bad customer service-really bad.
Posted on March 19th, 2010 at 7:45 am
I think it’s alright looking, but just small. The decorative items that people are paying FV cash for should be larger to make it worth it. A friend of mine bought the tea house for what? About 38 farmcash… and it’s small!
Alternatively, why not make these items more easily accessible to people by charging coins? Even if a lot of coins. At least you can earn coins by playing the game. Farmcash, on the other hand, only goes up $1 per level, so if you really want something you have to spend actual money. Come on.

Of course I love the flowering dogwood. I suggested it on the FV Forum Suggestions thread. Yep this too costs FV$ but do you suppose Zynga employees work for free? Some posters who say they won’t pay for anything are the same ones complaining about
Zynga customer service, think about it….

This tree rocks! I am a boy and white is my favorite color
I LOVE THE TREE!!!!
Posted on March 20th, 2010 at 3:33 am
my god people, it only cost 4 fcash, i think that is payable or not, nobody is forcing you to buy it. I am not gonna buy it cuz i dont like it on my farm. it is kind of pretty, but doesnt fit in my farm. 4 cash, man thats not to much to take for it. I bought the forest for 10 and am really happy with that.
Posted on March 20th, 2010 at 11:32 pm
i love this one. i wish you could harvest it too, but that didn’t slow me down

Dogwood tree – The graphic is very poor unlike the other trees that at least show the general shape of the tree they are supposed to represent. Dogwoods are NOT round – nor are they fluffy white. Their essential characteristic – flowers – should be drawn and emphasized like those on the Starfruit tree – that is – creamy white and shapely blossom but in this case, against darkish green foliage, This tree looks like an undifferentiated ball of cotton.
I would have no trouble using FV cash to acquire it, even as it is, if there was any differentiation of shadow or color shown.
Also – if it does not yield harvesting cash – then it should be among decorations! There is nothing wrong with a decorative tree.
LASTLY – Since ponds and lakes seem to show up all the time, why hasn’t a WEEPING WILLOW made the FV scene? We need them for a beautiful sping-like setting – but please get an artist that knows something about their shape, and pale green and long fronds. This tree’s price should be consistent with most others and in coins. It is a good item for the spring mystery gift listing. Moreover willow baskets can be harvested!!!
While I am venting – why not offer a HERD DOG since most farms have HERDS!! Border collie for instance!
The percheron could have been far more handsome than he is – at least some arch to his neck like the clydesdales!
I do understand your need to present appealing animals, trees, birds etc. but repeat that when you stray too far from the real thing. interest can be lost the fun of planting an identifiable tree or sheltering an animal you know is diminished
I’m a serious player and have lots of ideas I would like to share. Here’s one more. What about a f rog that can be placed near our ponds? Willows, ducks, swans, frogs – they all go together – no?.
Oh heavens an’t stop – you fouled out big time on the olive tree friends. The artist has certainly never seen one. Olive trees have fattish grey trunks and weird branches and are the color of your fig tree or a little greyer – with a dash of white along the top for reflective sun. They are certainly NOT mustardy green – If they had to show an olivey color – it should have been in my opinion, a paler – much paler olive gren.
OK that will do it for now. This is my first comment and I had a lot to say. I want to congratulate you all on your brilliant marketing and on the design of this colorful game!!
All the best!
Judith

Ok… For All Of Those People Complaining About Things Being Farmcash… If They Did’nt Put Things On The Market For Cash (which is also earnable through level ups) They Wouldnt Be Able To Keep There Business Afloat…. No Money = No Bandwith = No Farmville!! They Are Not Forcing You To Buy These Items, They Are Simply Just Offering An Option To Have Advanced Items, There Are Plenty Of Things For Coins, And Things Giftable And Optainable Via Friends. If The Option Of Paying Farmcash Concearns You Then Don’t Play.
Posted on March 21st, 2010 at 10:00 pm
tommy, well id like to have the tree but im defs not f*cking giving any of my money to those stingy bastards, they earn enough, their just getting greedy and we arnt the only ones getting sick of it.
Posted on March 24th, 2010 at 7:13 am
If they made everything available for coins, then no one would support the game by purchasing more fv dollars. Think about it. The game is great to be offered as free as is, so what is wrong with supporting the makers and earning a few fv bucks while you’re at it?
Posted on March 24th, 2010 at 8:03 am
It’s pretty, but it’s ashame that it can’t be havested. I’m not buying one, especially since you have to use Farmville cash.
Posted on March 26th, 2010 at 10:48 am
why would anyone want to buy a tree for 4 farm cash that can’t be harvested? the only good thing about it is that looks nice.
Posted on June 19th, 2010 at 5:36 pm
The game is free to all who play… the servers that keep it running are not. I make a habit of clicking on the polls in the ads hoping they get extra money for that to keep my free game free. My bigfishgames I belong to costs me 6.99 a month to get a game a month and I dont like it as much as farmville… World of warcraft costs a ridiculous $15 a month to keep playing. On FV.. you get 1 fv cash each time you level up, they gave you fv cash for adding the toolbar, they have promotions for most ppl to get more fv cash (I hope in the future they make promotions everyone can participate in) but the point is they give everyone a lot and you dont have to buy anything.. its your choice. I myself wont pay $50 for 310 farm cash, but my husband would and I am sure so would others. Time to go gift 30 more goat milk.. ENJOY PPL!!
