Tonight, the FarmVille Mystery Game has changed and been updated to shelter brand new prizes inside! You may remember that farmers were highly impressed with last week’s Mystery Game due to the beautiful Valentine’s Day themed prizes. This week, the FarmVille Mystery Game brings you prizes based on the other on-going theme in the Market – the Lunar New Year.
A special thank you goes out to FarmVille Freaks DarkFarmer & Dab-a-roo for helping out with this week’s Mystery Game post!
This week’s prizes in the Mystery Game are of the Lunar New Year theme, and have stirred quite an excitement among farmers! With 4 brand new animals – the Lantern Sheep, the Kung Fu Duck, the Mongolian Horse & the New Year Cow; a very pretty decoration – the Red Lantern Bridge; and a magnificent building – the Asian Pavilion, the Mystery Game is sure to keep farmers coming back for more!
This week’s Mystery Game will be available until February 21, 2011 (only the next 6 days) and will cost 16 Farm Cash per dart. Playing should be done at your own risk as you are never guaranteed to win any one specific or all prizes featured in the Mystery Game.

Anyone else having issue with the game freezing? I have 4 free darts (just bought 2 cards). I got the 1st balloon, it froze in mid pop. I closed and rebooted and found I got the duck. I’ve had to reboot again twice completely. I finally got my gift box open and clicked the dart, but when I get to the game..no balloons and it freezes

just because they arent valentine-related..doesnt make them anti-valentines…
examples of anti valentines would be like a broken heart…a cupid shot down..etc lol
and secondly the reason they have these Asian items is because its LUNAR NEW YEAR. month….new year based on the moon calendar invented by the chinese.
so the theme of those gifts isnt exactly random….

This is much, much worse than the last Lunar NY themed Mystery Game, in my opinion!
The horse is kind of cool, but think about it we went from a Phoenix and a Dragon to a sheep, a novelty duck, and a hideous cow-dragon mutant thing. And, the bridge is just a repurposed bridge from the last game but with l;aterns added.

Yes,I can not get anyting to publish. My poor neighbors are doing without a lot of Valentines,Bushels,Ducks,etc. I reloaded the game and still can not publish anything. Cityville was working perfectly fine but now it will not publish either. Cleaned the cache,cleaned the disk,did a disk defragmentation,and a browser clean. Gee do you think Farmville may have a problem??? This game just is not worth the trouble sometimes. Thanks for listening. At least someone does.

I did win the horse after the 3rd dart, game froze and I refreshed. The horse was in my gift box but was and still is invisable. I put it in my barn and it still has no picture. I hope I don’t loose it.

@Elf – Really? Is name calling necessary?
Has Zynga ever posted the odds of getting ‘rare’, ‘uncommon’, or ‘common’ items? If so, maybe you can share the figures with us, so that we might calculate the odds. Otherwise we can only speculate as to how many of a particular prize might be in a game. Personally I must either be extremely lucky, or there are more than one ‘rare’ prize per game. More often that not, I seem to get the ‘rare’ prize. I don’t know how they write their program, perhaps every xth dart thrown wins a ‘rare’ prize, and your chances of winning that prize depends on what millisecond you happen to throw. Maybe the breakdown is 50-30-20. I honestly don’t know. What I do know is that there is not a grey horse, virtual or otherwise standing behind door number three.
That said, enjoy the game. If you would be happy with the majority of the prizes offered, then play away and don’t worry about the odds.

Be careful the New Year Cow can get stuck in Dairy Farm once you put it in. I can’t access the Dairy Farm I put it in, but I can access the others.

*sigh* And here come the bugs. Got the horse – luckily as the game froze right when the balloon popped. Moved it on into the stable – and now the stable won’t respond.

I got the cow from the 1st column 1st row, but now the mystery game isn’t working for me so I’ll have to try to get that horse later. Unfortunately, I don’t want anything other than the horse, but I’ve been waiting specifically for a grey dappled horse, and it’s a neat shape unlike the horses I already have, and the sheep is pretty neat, and everything else I can store. The cow is pretty stupid, but I hate it less now that I have one and it’s tucked quietly away in my dairy.

The devs never added the images to the game files for the new animals in the mystery game. So if you have them on your farm or giftbox you wont see anything.. and they will likely freeze up your giftbox.

I got the horse from the bottom blue balloon in the center. My game froze immediately after and now the mystery game won’t reload. The horse wouldn’t load on my farm so I stuck it in the stable to see if it’s pic would show up there, but when I clicked look inside, my farm froze. Hope this gets fixed ASAP.

OMG!!! I threw a second dart at the top left hand corner… it went really slow. popped and NOTHING!!!!!!! i refreashed my page and checked and the balloon was back to being un-popped and so i tried it again on the same balloon, they took my money and again it froze. they took 32 of my farm cash and i got nothing for it!!! i am very upset! i want to check my gift box just to make sure i did or did not get something but it won’t let me in!

Kinda sucks that they’re putting sheep, horses and now COWS into the mystery games!!
1st off: bring back the BOX!! we got EXTRA xps..AND we were able to SEND them to other players! Get rid of the balloon game and bring back the mystery box!
2nd: let us purchase the animals that BREED in the MARKET..NOT the mystery game! Before the only animal we had to play for was the stallion, (and the pink and purple ponies) and now you’re putting more and more things in there. I like to collect the horses, cows, and sheep..but I don’t like having to keep popping balloons to try to get them =/
3rd (and last) PLEASE fix the glitches BEFORE adding new stuff!!! My super chicken is STILL missing, and now so is my cinnamon heart tree, and my lantern sheep!! sheesh!

i got the pink stallion last week from the very 1st balloon in the top left. to clarify: it was in the 1st balloon in the 1st across row which is the same as the 1st balloon in the 1st down row. i got the bride gnome from the blue balloon in the middle of the board and the hippo in the green balloon in the 1st down row. if anyone else got the same things from the same balloons, please share here. I threw one dark and the thing froze as all above posted. I always play, and have gotten from one a horses, from another a dragon. I don’t like this dragon cow thing. It is ugly. Not crazy about the duck either, he looks mean. Would like to have the horse but am not going to wash farm cash or free throws as it kept my farmcash, and gave me NOTHING.

Heres how I play the mystery game. Wait a few days till the mystery game has been out for awhile, wait till the last day if you have patience. Pop the middle balloon, as it seems the most commonly first popped balloon. (Or you can come here first and choose a balloon to pop first based on what people are reporting the most.) I personally pop the middle one, as it is the easiest to track down in the posts. Then based on what you get in the center start combing through the posts, looking for some that have the same as you. Hopefully, based on what other people get, you can find what you want within 2-3 pops. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 boards with the same center prize, but anyway, hope this helps!

Thank your Craig for posting what you found at the forum. I did contact Zynga on this issue. They promptly put the New Year’s Cow (that I won & was invisible when placed on my farm) back in my GB. Thinking all was ok. I put the NY Cow back on my farm. Darn! It’s invisible, again and my 2nd free dart that I got (from Zynga card) freezes when I try to use it.
I wish C.S. at Zynga would have said they were having issues in the email reply I got from them.
Oh well….I guess sooner or later….it will show up (when Zynga fixes it).

upon reading ALL the problems the people have,won’t dare to play.
the only nice 1 in my opinion is the horse,but not going to spend 64 FV cash and still not have it like with the pink stallion.

Got one horse and nothing in my gift box. ……… Also bought 6 New reds and still nothing in my gift box.

I’ve the same problem as others, but I think the graphic of the Lantern-Sheep isn’t really uploaded to the program thats why we can’t see it, also I can’t open my gift box since I did the pop-the-balloons thingy, I guess the hell was inside or what was my prize, because when I used the dard it got frozen and nothing happened.

The blue balloon in the center.but then it got stuck and i had to reload the page.after 6 reloades it worked to open the gift box.and now i cannot see the horse just the shadow. I would like to know where the sheep is.if it matches someone’s table like the horse in the middle.(blue). Thank’s!

Does anyone know if they fixed the problems with the darts yet? I got my mongolian horse right after the release, and it works fine and shows up on my farm, but I see a lot of my friends having problems with it freezing up. I want to try for the cow as well (yes, I actually like it), but i want to make sure they have fixed all the issues first

I’m more than happy, got the two things I wanted.

This is where I got what I did with 7 darts:
Horse — dead-center (blue)
Cow #1 — first column, fourth row (green)
Cow #2 — third column, fifth row (blue)
Duck — first column, second row (yellow)
Sheep #1 — fifth column, fifth row (red)
Sheep #2 — first column, first row (red)
Bridge — second column, first row (green)
If anyone else has this board and knows where there’s another duck or the pavilion, let me know. I’m not taking any more chances without further info!

It seemed to correct itself this morning…

OMG Nicole #105 YOU ROCK GIRLFRIEND!!! Everytime I follow you, I get the horse! Very Bottom Left Red Balloon…………….Something in my gut told me with my last dart that I should follow your lead and I did and BAM! GOT IT!!!! I’m so stinkin’ happy! It’s obvious to me now that we have the same exact board, so from this point on I WILL ALWAYS pop the same balloons that you pop! OMG! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!! ( Nice name by the way, I’m Nicole too)
The first balloon I popped was in the bottom row, blue balloon in the very center and it was the lantern sheep.
The second balloon I popped was the blue balloon in the dead center of the board and it was the flippin’ kung fu duck.

i think the game board changes if you close it because i got the pavillion in the middle blue balloon. closed it and someone who got the pavilion in the middle said they got a horse in the top middle green, and i got the dang bridge

I won the lantern bridge, pavilion, and on the third try I finally got the Mongolian horse. Unfortunately, Farmville decided to have a glitch fest and froze on me while I was in the mystery game. I had to refresh the whole page just to be able to click anything again and of course, both my money and my horse were missing. After several hours, Farmville finally fixed my games loading and freezing issues and restored my horse. This isn’t the first time the mystery game has caused problems for me, which is why I never play it. I only played it for the horse this time, because out of all of them, I think this one and the Icelandic horse are my favorites. Best of luck to those making the attempt.

The last 5 times I have played the Rare items have been in a yellow balloon….
I remember someone posted about a month ago..Item was in a yellow balloon and stated “Rare always in the yellow balloon”…
That’s all they said and no one agreed with them..
I had already popped a ton of balloons following what had already been posted and still did not have the rare item(Think it was the Unicorn)
So I went with that comment,and it has been working for me every since.

The easiest way for me to find my server was to hover the mouse over the “play” tab above your farm. While it’s hovering, look at the bottom left corner of your screen, the http:// should be followed by your server designation.
so it will look like- http://(your server).farmville.com/flash.php?ref… etc.

this is one of the worst mystery games for me….the cow is hideous, the duck and sheep ugly…and peppering the game with mostly towers and bridges – what do we do with these huge space hogging monstrosities????? I went through waaaay too much trying for the horse….like 2 cows, 3 bridges, 2 ducks, 4 sheep, and 5 towers~!!!! now what do I do with all that caca????? come on Zynga, put a few of the good ones in the grid! I can’t believe I got sucked into the I gotta have the horse!!! I keep hoping for a pawn shop for Farmville to trade off some of these super expensive horrors!

So far I’ve popped 10 balloons, no horse. Some people have commented it’s in the green balloon, centre of top row, popped it and not there. I’m down to 13 FV cash, will need to buy some more, desperately want the horse, can anyone at all help me or should I just go back to closing my eyes and randomly clicking and hoping for the best?? I’ve gotten about 5 sheep, 3 pavillions, the cow and the bridge. These are the ones I’ve popped in capital letters:

The only thing I wanted from this weeks selection was the pavillion, aka, the most common….my first dart gave me the mongolian horse (i am a breeder so that was cool), my next TWO darts resulted in that cow thing and then I got a kungfu duck. Finally on my fifth throw I got my pavillion. If there is a strategy please let me know

i’mm so happy with that game! The prices are cool! They are all so sweet!!! Horse, Cow, Sheep and Duckie!!!!! And itr’s only 16 farmcash!

second dart: Horse!!!! i thought what???? Woooow!!!! i never got the horse that early^^ what shall i do? throw another dart?

This seems like an uncommon board. Not many people have posted that this balloon gave them a duck. Does anyone have this board and found the horse?

Puddins11, everyones COLOR of the balloons is the same, I think, you need to post what you got in each specific balloon to be able to compare your board to someone else. Do you remember what you got in which balloon by any chance? Or at least some?

Finally got the horse this are the balloons I popped also
4th row- yellow = duck
4th row – green = pavillion
3rd row – red right side ballloon = HORSE

not sure what the server has to do with this but on farm 1 it is FB-TC-2
and the COW is in the center blue ballon…
can someone help me find the horse…
gonna check my other farm’s server…found horse in the center and the pavillion was the r2 c2 blue ballon

I am up to seven balloons now and still cant find that darn horse! PLEASE HELP!!! So far ive uncovered:

Arg, I hate the mystery game

WHY DO MY MYSTERY GAME ITEMS DISAPPEAR? I have used 12 darts to try and get the grey horse (thats a lot of farm cash) 4 of the ducks disappear, not that I really care for the ducks but that isnt the point. The point is I spent the cash and got the prizes, but they are gone now. I only have one duck left (maybe it will be there tomorrow we will see, I just got this other duck tonight) the 4 that are missing were from the first day that the mystery game was available. I lost a horse on a previous time too. THIS MAKES 5 THINGS NOW THAT DISAPPEARED. I am very unhappy. If i keep loosing things i will have to quit buying farmville cards for farm cash. Thats real money I’m giving to farmville for nothing in return.

Got the sheep third row 2nd balloon from right (green),horse also third row second balloon from left (red),lantern bridge top row first balloon on right (blue) and the cow second row first balloon from left (yellow)

I was only trying for the sheep. I got the pavilion thing first out of the center blue balloon. I found the sheep on my second attempt, in the 1st column, 2nd row.

glad I read this and the forums…. my cow was in the center…and the Horse was roll 4 c 4…tks to those who had my board…oh the server doesn’t make a difference…If I would have went with the 2 that were on my server..I would have wasted 2 darts…

This is getting a bit confusing, many people say they are on server 3 but the boards they are posting don’t match up together, so either we are not posting correctly or they are being changed periodically. Mine was a mix of those previously identified as FB-tc-3 above.
Center/R3, C3 (Blue) Pavilion
R1, C4 (Green) Cow
R3, C4 (Yellow) Horse
R1, last/C5 (Blue) Bridge

Bottom middle blue balloon was the cow for me and the fourth row middle blue balloon was the horse!! would of rather had the sheep then the cow however

I would really love some help. I don’t understand the whole server thing. I know that I got the Mongolian horse from the bottom row middle blue balloon. I really want the cow and would like to have the sheep. Would someone please help me by telling me if they got the horse from the same spot where I might get the cow and sheep from. I’ve read all the comments and nothing seems to match mine. Thanks so much!

For anyone interested, after popping EVERY balloon in the game, the horse came up at the red balloon on the far left, so would be first COLUMN, first ROW, red. Or the 3rd balloon down, far left.

BrownEyedGirl, I also got my horse from the blue balloon in the middle of the bottom row. I found the cow in the balloon in the dead center of the board and the sheep in the red balloon in the top left corner. I posted a pic of my board on the FV forum.
