Not a chance! For some software that is only any good if you have an old PC or Laptop that needs cleaning up. It won’t make much, if any, difference if your computer is newish and not full of junk. There is also free software out there that does the same thing, if you need it. The AVG software only comes with a license for one computer, so if you have a few, as many homes do now-a-days, the license will only allow you to use it on one. You have to pay more for multiple licenses.

Mac user. Not only do I never need tune-ups, but anything that makes its way onto my system can’t hurt it
I sometimes pick up Windows trojans from downloads (thank you, MegaUpload), so I just run an anti-virus before sending emails to my parents who need an operating system designed for people who don’t know how to use a computer.

Thanks for your feedback. We wanted to clarify that with this deal you don’t only get the 3 biplane uses but you also get to keep the plane. On the other hand, PC TUNEUP has other interesting features like internet optimization and improving disk speed.

No, I won’t be buying it. I bought 3 of the other planes and only got the free crop growth on the first one. The others were a waste of money. So, I will work on the assumption that if I have a plane and buy this one, it too will not work.

I did buy it as I use AVG Anti-Virus Free (very good IMO) and just tried out the Tuneup (free for 24hrs) and was kinda impressed w/ how much it helped my old crappy PC. Wasn’t up for paying full price but this deal felt like a decent one. HOWEVER: Placing the plane etc went fine, but when trying to use one of the free Instant Grows I get an ‘Out of Sync’ message and the farm goes back to whatever state it was in before the reload *grr*
I’ve mailed Zynga about it, see what/when they do smt about it……. I still have my 3 unused Instant Grows after the reload btw, even after (unsuccessfully) trying to use one up several times.

$9.99 seems like a fair price but I already subscribe to Norton Anti Virus software and have been very happy with it. I have had problems with other well known anti-virus programs in the past but I have had no problems at all with my computer since I started using Norton a few years ago.

I bought this plane too, it was only $10 and I didn’t want to wait 2 days to grow my roses, however like the comment above, every time I try to use the instant grow I get the message “out of sync”. Very annoying!

Why would I want to buy AVG just to get a AVG biplane that I won’t be able to use after the 3 free insta grow is gone. I already have a biplane I can’t use cause u have to pay an outrages amount of FV dollars to buy more insta grow!!! To insta grow all my trees and my crops they want 208 FV dollars!! No thanks, I’m patient and can wait for my crops and trees to grow on their own!!

Well, I use AVG Internet Security and like AVG so I decided to do this offer. I never got my biplane! It did not show up in my gift box, or in an e-mail… What good is the free offer if you don’t actually get it? I even ran the program thinking maybe I had to run it first, but still no joy.

i just had to laugh at this Javier Community Manager at AVG please explain why avgfree and the avg software that you pay good money for is totally rubbish !
Tbh your better off having no antivirus program on your pc and has no customer support at all .the software slows your pc down so much its insane and its a nightmare to get your software off pc’s because it inbeds itself into so much stuff .
beleave me if your using AVG as a antivirus your off your heads lol ..
Customer asked me to find out why there pc was so slow .i had a look and saw there was running AVG eeeeeeekk ran a in depth scan and avg found 0 that no viruses at all hmmmmm .after about a hour or more to get the avg software totally off the system .
i install a new antivirus sortware updates and runs a full scan and what do i find
over 1500 viruses /trojans well done AVG for doing a great job !!!

Mary@38 – I find instant grow very useful, you don’t have to use it at the start of a crop. You can for instance finish a crop that is 80% for 1 Farm Cash.
The amount it costs to use from the planting stage depends on the crop – a 4 hour one is 4 farm cash.
Also you can, and should, deselect the trees from the page before using the instant grow for crops. Just remove the tick.
Javier – AVG – I think its a good offer. I use AVG Premium anti-virus. I had run the free trial of the PC Tune and liked it but felt it expensive. So the offer was very timely.
Christine Merten – it is not good posting here – if you want Zynga to sort your missing trees then email them,. Explain what has happened, tell them when you purchased the trees and when you lost them. Also which browser you use and whether you play from the web or FB. Also make sure you have cleared your browser and flash cache and let them know you have done this.
I would advise that you phrase your email in a polite way, don’t throw insults around and don’t use capitals.
On Tuesday I lost a sandcat from the Mystery game, I emailed Zynga and they immediately resolved it – it was all sorted by Wednesday.

Just for those who may have read the price incorrectly….it says 9.99 ~ not 99.99. I read it and re-read it to be sure and that’s actually not a bad deal ~ however I won’t be buying bc I already AVG free software and cannot even afford the 9.99. And for the record I want to say that AVG makes the best free anti virus on the market and I’m sure this Tune up does a decent job specially for novice users , I just prefer the free alternatives. Im a mac user…so can’t buy it…nor would I just for only 3 instant grow….maybe like 30 or something like that…thing is I probably would not buy the plane regardless….especially since I already have the original one from co-ops for free…who needs more than one right ?
Maybe if it was something different giving away….like the unwither!!! I’d deff would like 10 unwithers would be awesome!! =)

i got the plane for my collection. it looks cool. to bad there is a glitch and the super grow wont stick… tried 5 times and i keep getting the out of sync error and upon refresh the crops are back to fresh planted.. grrrr
as for the program, it was worth 10 bucks.. plenty of useful tweaks and other things in to make it useful for even seasoned computer nerds. and yes i’m one of them. all of it can be done manually of course but the program speeds that up quite a bit. it found more things than i expected it to with the reg scan and i expected problems after the cleaning but there were none. i also noticed some improvement in the system so after buying it to get the plane im happy that i did, it wasn’t a waste of money. good work avg team. i actually like something i wouldn’t normally buy…

It does not work either. AVG and other companies should realise ‘working’ with Zynga will have an adverse effect on business. This plane causes horrible out of sync errors. Maybe some of AVG’s staff could tuneup Zynga’s game so it works now and again.

I purchased the $10.99 PC tuneup exactly as FV site said to do, installed & registered product, went to FV to see new plane…and got nothing! Refreshed, reloaded, restarted, and still nothing! Feeling ripped off again!

Well I paid the $9.99 and the bi-plane, etc still hasn’t shown up in my gift box several hours later. I wrote an email to AVG and their response was in not so many word – Not Our Problem.

instant grow works now! it did the trees and crops which cost 106 fv cash per grow for over 300 in fv cash if you were to pay for them. a cost of $50.. add the $20 it would cost for the plane and it seems like a great deal to me. not to mention the tweak program from avg that is $30 retail.. so thats $100 worth of stuff for $10.. it’s hard for me to find anything bad about this deal..

OzzydOGG@55 Be fair – he was responding to all the comments here about the AVG offer. The advertising is a result of the deal done with Zynga. You can hardly blame the guy for doing his job. If there wasn’t any response to the feedback someone would complain.
Cathy@56 he was making the point that if someone was to buy farm coins, which you can do just as you can buy farm cash, then 33,000 would cost $23.
CherryKissies@43 If you go the AVG site – not via Farmville – you can have a free trial of the Tune Up. I did it a while ago and was impressed with it but didn’t want to spend £30. I have been very happy to take advantage of this offer, delighted to get it for £7, and the free grows were a nice extra.
I note you say the offer doesn’t make it worth buying the product – a judgement you make without knowing what the product is like, and I can assure you it does a very good job.

I bought it too, because I’m satisfied with AVG and I still needed a PC Tuneup. I bought a new laptop and I thought it would come in handy to keep it fast and clean.
Nice that I got the biplane too. I didn’t use the super grow yet, so I don’t know if my game will go out of sync when I do.

Not buying anything else untill i get my 200 fvc for signing up with blockbuster keep getting the runaround from FV and Tapjoy but BB has no problem taking my money you people dont play fair!!!!! almost angry enough to pay hundreds in lawyers fees to sue for false advertisement.

Thanks Javier! I wasn’t thinking of buying it, but after all of your comments I might give your product a try. I do like AVG free anti-virus (although I am currently running Norton, which is required through my job). I have two bi-planes, so that’s not a big issue for me, but it would be a cool extra for a great product offered at a great price.

No Nick Zynga hasn’t screwed, as you so eloquently put it, anybody. The offer with AVG was/is a very good one.
There has been a glitch with the instant grow, but that is not AVGs fault, and Zynga will fix it soon.
In fact I think they have done so but haven’t had time to try it myself yet.

AVG and Zynga are LIARS!!!! I PURCHASED THE AVG TUNE-UP PROGRAM, INSTALLED IT, AND RAN IT YESTERDAY MORNING (OVER 24 HOURS AGO!!!!). I AM LOATHE TO HAVING TO FOLLOW UP ON OTHER PEOPLE’S NEGLIGENCE!!! I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY PLANE/INSTANT GROW!!!

I have purchased the AVG PC Tuneup for my personal computer and, so far, can say that I am very impressed. I am considering purchasing a second copy of the software to install on my son’s computer. Do you know if the promotion (3 free instant grows) would be able to be claimed a second time with a second purchase? Perhaps I would need to delete my AVG biplane first. Thank you for your help!

Hi , i just ordered the PC Tune Up deal yesterday and am really very pleased with it. It has a great set of features that even some of my more pricey programs don’t have. At under $10.00 i would have purchased this deal even if it wasn’t connected with the FV Plane and Insta crop deal. I now have a smoother and more faster running PC than i did b4 and a nifty plane to boot
..,, well maybe, cause i still haven’t received my plane yet.. but hopefully soon lol

It’s now been 36 hours, still no bi-plane. Also, no reply from Javier on this stream addressing the issue. Just an email from their customer service saying it’s a Zynga issue contact them. I would think since they have a ‘partnership’ for this offer. AVG would have some sort of input to get it resolved.
I find it amazing how fast I was billed though.

Good news, The AVG people sent me the code to enter and redeem my bi-plane. Lo and behold, it’s there!!!!
And works as advertised. Note to all. When applying for one of these offers, use the same email that you log onto Facebook/Farmville. I am told THAT is the issue.

Javier glad you stopped around. This game plays for **** with AVG installed. Yes I know there is a game mode but it’s only in full screen mode. Playing Farmville one drops out of full screen mode every few minutes to gift prizes. Each time AVG hogs processor making mouse erratic. How about an off switch???

Tammy – first do not post in capitals. It is pointless since it detracts from your argument and the difficulty of reading it probably means most people ignore it.
Second – the AVG/Zynga offer is not a scam. AVG run very good software and as far as I can make out from your post you received and have run this. So where is the scam there?
As to the plane – it is unfortunate you have not yet received it, but it would appear that if the details you gave did not match with your original details – ie different email this will make a different.
A polite request to Zynga – not in capitals – will I am sure resolve this.
I received the software and the plane. There was an initial glitch with using the free grow enhancer, but that was fixed in a couple of hours and I was able to harvest and master 2 sets of 2 day crops – and of course all my trees 3 times.
So I can state that it is a sound offer, no deceit and no scam.

I had bought the original biplane a while back but I never bought more instant grows because it was like 99 farm cash to instant grow my entire farm.
I don’t need AVG because I have a Mac, but this still seems like a ridiculous deal – 396 farm cash worth of instant grows (assuming you have any desire to instant grow). Use your free instant grows wisely – on your ENTIRE farm for crops that take 4 or more days!
I’m thinking I’ll give the software to my brother – his PC always seems bogged down.

Why is it stupid? Keeping your registry defragmented and removing unnecessary entries is a good thing. It also speeds up the internet (probably by tweaking registry and network settings). Something that the average user may have trouble doing. It also helps protect your privacy.
I don’t work for AVG, so don’t come at me with that (I will certainly accept any checks, they are willing to send me, though)

AVG (GriSoft) has offered a free and robust anti-virus program for over a decade. This 100% free program has saved my butt a couple of times and has consistently been recommended by ZDnet , pcmag and other review sites I trust. For years they offered this program without it being crippled or full of ads like other “free” junk. They (along with Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy) have helped me tremendously,as a PC technician.
Don’t diss them for trying to get some dollars for their hard work. I think it is well-deserved. I will get the bi-plane because it does look different than the others and I am supporting a company I have great deal of respect for. Ask anyone in the tech community and they will probably agree.
$9.99 is not exactly a kick in the teeth. Look at how hard the AVG guys have worked to answer all of people’s questions and clarify things. This is the kind of customer service one might expect from the company (I have never needed to use it).
Again. I do not work for AVG. I just think any bashing of them is unfair.

I cant beleive how many people are complaining. This is an amazing deal, even if you dont use the product it can save tons of farmville cash. I occassionally have used farmcash to grow my crops, especially if I have a co-op going and need to meet a deadline. Sometimes it can cost over 50 farm cash to grow some crops. Any crops that take over a couple of days are very expensive and with this deal you can plant a bunch of slow growing crops and have them mastered.
Its about time that deals for products are becoming available outside the US for farmville cash. I think this is a great deal, and for $10 the product aint so bad!

I started down the path of the ‘free’ bi-plane, and pulled out when I realised I had to pay. Now I cannot access FV from the computer I used. Most frustrating. It half loads, and then hangs. Every other FB application working fine on the same computer. Any ideas?

I think the AVG biplane would have been nice to have. However, I recently got rid of my other biplanes because I kept getting tempted to pay FV to have my crops grow faster. This way, I stay on my goal of not buying anymore FV bucks if I can help it.
Didn’t need it in the first place and certainly can live without it. LOL
I did get the AVG tuneup and it was time for me to renew my AVG antivirus. No problems and no complaints with any of those quality products. And the tune up works great on new computers too.

My husband and I are Seiors. He gets his Sociel security at the first of the month so he got your plane and Vag disk.. I don’t get mine till the 24th of month and could not get one..
