FarmVille Biplane Notice
A new vehicle, the FarmVille Biplane was introduced on June 3rd 2010.
The Biplane instantly grows your FarmVille Crops by applying an “eco friendly mix” to your entire crops. Your first flight will be free, so consider it a test drive in checking out this new feature. However, any future flights of flying the Biplane will cost farm cash. The amount of farm cash is determined by how much time each crop on your farm has left before it is ready to harvest.

In order to access the Biplane, you will need to purchase one in the FarmVille Market for 30,000 coins in which you will also receive 300 XP. Note, you can also obtain a Biplane for free if you complete the requirements for the Gold Reward prize for the new Co-Op Farming Peanut Butter and Jelly Job. After placing your Biplane on your farm you will have the option to “Apply Instant Grow” which is free for the first flight and whose cost varies for any additional flights.

I bought the biplane for the free use and didn’t get the free use when I click it a window appears saying I don’t have enough farmcash to use it. I’m hoping they get this fixed but at the moment it’s just another decoration. They also do not state any where how many farmcash it will cost to use it. I’m over the farmville cash thing.

1st flight was free for me, then I planted again to see what it would cost the 2nd time around and the offer was 6 FV$. Not bad! I have the cash, but thought I don’t wanna spend it all right here and now.
BTW – I have 500 plots – I would think a sliding scale would be fair – Say you are small time farmer with 100 plots – they shouldn’t have to pay as much. What does everyone else think???

The biplane is cool, but unless there is a way to get farm cash without buying it with real money, then I will take the free test flight and probably store the plane or just leave it on display in my farm.
However, if you make the cost to use the biplane payable in farmville coins, then I might be inclined to use the biplane more often.

after the first free use the amount of FVC you pay depends on how many plots you plant. my farm has 300 plots and they wanted 3fvc. my friends farm has 700 plots and they wanted 7fvc

I bought it to see how much it was going to cost to use… I planted some yellow melon (only needed 50 or so for mastery), planted 350 coffee and it offered me to grow my crops instantly for 25FVC because it will be 96 hours if I don’t. It’s crap… where’s the 1$ offers??

This plane sucks so far. Nothing is explained as to how it works, so a bunch of people are going to buy it for the $30,000 then AFTER they find out you have to pay with FV cash just to use it. The first crop dusting worked but then I planted watermelon and it says I don’t have enough FV cash when really I do. They really need to explain the new stuff better when it first comes out. For now, thumbs down.

As someone who worked A LOT to get almost all the crop masteries, it just pisses me off to see it’s now just a matter of giving them money to get everything mastered in under a day.
I’ll finish the few remaining crops I have left, and then I’m gone for good.
Zynga should really have more respect for the people who have been playing this game since near the beginning.
But I guess money is all that counts for them.

Really great! I bought it to complete my co-op job cause someone didn’t manage to harvest on time. I was so excited and thought I could save the gold so I planted the crop I need and brought this… It said the first flight is free but when I try to use it it says I have no enough farm cash which is crazy if the 1FV per flight is true and the first time is supposed to be free:-(

I started out with $167.00, I used it three times and now I have $158.00/ I did not pay much attention to the first use to know if it was free or not; however I did check the last two times that I used it, and it cost me $3.00 in FV money for each use. So my best guess it that each use was $3.00, and I never received the free one. I did however finish off a co-op and got the gold, so for me it was definitely worth buying.

I like the idea but if I buy one then I will only use it for the first free one and then I won’t use it as I don’t have much farm cash. I think that it would be better if you could purchase “instant grow’s” with farm coins instead of cash. So if I buy one it will only sit there after the first free flight. So I bought the bi-plane. I used my free flight, then I clicked to open it again just to see how many farm cash it cost. I opened it once and it cost $1 farm cash. I did NOT use it, though. I bought mine and planted watermelons then used it and they were grown straight away!!! Brilliant I thought. I’ve got 40 $FV so thought I’d plant yellow melons and get them harvested quickly as well.
When I tried it again, it said I don’t have enough $FV!!! How much FV cash do they want for God’s sake????
Then I thought I’ll try to be clever here, so I sold the biplane and bought another one hoping to get the free go. That didn’t work either.
I’m a bit narked now. I didn’t mind using my FV cash cos I’m trying to get crop mastery on everything but didn’t wanna hang around for 4 days. Now I’m stuck with waiting 4 days for my yellow melons to grow and I’ve used a bushel to get double mastery. I’m not a happy bunny Zinga!!!

Why do you people feel entitled to everything for free? Shouldn’t Zynga be allowed to make money off the game they are programming. I am so sick of people expecting everything to just be handed to them. If you don’t want the plane, don’t get it. You are lucky they even give you as much as they do for free…then you all come in here whining about having to pay a couple of dollars for FV cash…losing those kind of players can only improve the quality of people in the game.

Great idea if you’re in a hurry for coins. They really need somewhere that explains how much each crop will cost to grow instantly. I planted a whole heap of broccoli expecting to pay 1 FV cash and apparently I don’t have enough (I have a paltry 4!).
Not bothered too much about the wait, but some clarification would be good!

If there’s no limit to it (and as far as i know there isn’t) this is going to ruin the game for the ones with less funds to spend vs the fv spenders.
Coops can be done in minutes, making the one with most money MVP.
Mastery will take no time at all if you are willing to spend fv cash.
Leveling can done within a matter of minutes….

(though, I will try the new co-op, however, just to get the little sticker in the history section). Seriously though, you guys just saved me some coins. Looks like there’s been nothing but trouble with it.
No way I’d sit and pay farmcash to grow my crops when I can do it for free with time.

This is without a doubt, the greatest thing EVER to hit Farmville! I bought mine and just used it and was able to get my broccoli mastery and acorn squash mastery with my free one. I then planted an entire field of asparagus (over 500 plots), and looked to see how much it woudl cost – only 8 FV$! Are you kidding? That’s freaking great. Not going to use it for this one because they will be ready at 10:00 tonight anyway, but with only five mastery signs left to get, I’ll have them all by tomorrow and can finally arrange my farm how I want to once I have all of the mastery signs. Thank you so much Farmville for giving us this tremendous tool.

do what i did. Buy multiple planes for coins. its letting me i have 7 but no more room :-/ i figured 30,000 coins is a LOT cheaper than any farmcash, especially when you can easily make it all back in minutes!

Purchased mine, planted 4 day Watermelons & Yellow melons to try to get them mastered & save time. Got my first flight free & mastered watermelons & nearly got level 2 on yellow melons using the bushels as well. Thought I’d try selling it & buying it again to see if I could get another freebie, but no this didn’t work!!! So save your coins!!!!!
Have been at level 70 for ages so haven’t been earning any farmcash dollars (not sure why this has to stop at level 70?) but tbh I never seemed to earn as much as my husband did anyway & I played more regularly! Got 10 more crops to master, so only wanted to use plane for 3 & 4 day ones to get them out of the way. Wouldn’t use for shorter crops because it would take some of the fun away…. well that’s what I think!!! But I do think like everyone else that we should be able to trade our coins for this stuff too, I’ve got over 11million coins at present & even if I bought the new mansion I’d still be loaded,LOL!!!! Please give us a choice between paying for stuff with coins or cash, there is a recession on you know!!!!

This game is increasingly less about ” farming” and more about spending money. They’ve turned crop masteries into a joke. I have been playing for almost a year and have been plugging away at my crop masteries….the thought that you can now instantly purchase masteries just cheapens the whole thing, if you ask me. I buy some cash items and could buy more, but it’s not worth it to me. I’m not going to buy the masteries I have left. How could it be said that I actually mastered that crop? I never had a problem with all their cash only items because no one made you buy them, but now they’ve gone and let money wreck the only legitimate challenge the game really had left. When there are no challenges, the game is too tedious for me.

I find it hilarious how many people bought this thing and are now complaining about it. Things that just come out are almost always broken in some way, it works the exact same with everything, why is this an exception? Look at major patches at WoW – Blizzard’s been doing this crap for how many years, and STILL new patches don’t work right off the bat, and something is always broken.
It’s also funny how many people will spend 30k coins without a second thought, but this ONLY becomes a large amount of coins after it doesn’t work.
And how many people are being self-entitled with “IT TOOK ME 300 DAYS, IT BETTER TAKE EVERYONE 300 DAYS, AND IF IT TAKES YOU 160 DAYS AND CASH THIS GAME IS STUPID AND I QUIT.”
Like anyone cares – it’s a free game, play or don’t, Zynga’s a company, not a freaking charity. If you’re not paying, and decide to quit, they could give a rats ass. Sorry to break it to you, but you’re not unique. They don’t get a message at the headquarters saying “Woah woah woah, Sarah Franklin quit? This is outrageous, undo whatever made her upset!” They get a message at the end of a month that says “1,293 quit. Oh well.”

bought the biplane and got the first ride free.. i have 61 FVC to start. i tried to use it to finish my sugarcane and was also using the bushel so thats double mastery…per use cost me 4 FVC and has mastered the sugarcane..thought it was great so i decided to plant 4 day crop to get them out of the way..i planted the watermelon….it was asking me to pay 48 FVC which is a rip off!!!!..now im stuck with a 4 day crop too….dont think will be using that biplane again!!!!!

Okay… So i bought my plane but before i did that i planted all peas, i got the free offer and used it, harvested all my crops, then the game said it was out of sync. So i refreshed the page, when i went back to my farm, the money i made from the crops was STILL THERE, bu my bi plane was gone, and get this, my crops were still there ready to be harvested… I luv glitches!!!!!

It’s cute but once again those of us who don’t BUT FV$ get screwed. So, we get the plane; BIG DEAL!!! It takes up lots of room if we don’t store it (if we can) and we can only use it 1 TIME! Why can’t the powers that be find a way for us to EARN FV $ or put them in various amounts in the mystery eggs or gift boxes. Give us poor folks who can’t or won’t BUT cash a chance, too.

Got it and used my free flight- worked great. Will not use it to buy masteries-, but maybe to help with co-ops occasionally. I do like it as a decoration, and it only takes up 2 plots. I hope they limit it in some way, so people aren’t just buying their way throught the levels and masteries…oh well, even if they do- farm and let farm, I guess.

I think having to buy the FV cash with real money is totally not right! Discrimination actually. Some of us live on a fixed income and can’t throw our money away on a game. Therefore only the ones with the money to do that get special things. That’s how the real world works, games shouldn’t. That’s not fair. Guess equality for all is a joke. Those of us that can’t afford to do that like to play and would like to have access also. Sending special gifts to people is different but anything that you can get from the market or use on your farm (like this plane) should only be coins, not cash! I’m getting really disappointed in FV with all this nonsense and all the trouble we have with things not working right. They need to give us a way to get the farm cash other than 1 for each level up. That takes forever for those of us who don’t dedicate our lives to playing it 24-7. And what’s up with the Wedding Tent thing? Why don’t we all have certain things to gift like before so we don’t get a ton of the same thing at one time? That’s just stupid! Going back to Farm Town is looking pretty good! And that’s sad because I really enjoy my farm.

Beware! I bought it, harvested, sold-it, replanted to harvest again (as they say the first flight is free) but it wouldn’t let me have another free flight! I steadfastly refuse to pay actual money for $FV, so looks like I’m waiting 3 days for a shed load of red wheat to grow!
They really should get rid of $FV, I have millions and millions of coins, and am level 70, but because I won’t pay actual cash for $FV I can’t do everything in the game! it’s ridiculous!

Great decoration. I wouldn’t use this quick harvest option anyway, what’s the fun in that? I think 30,000 FV coins is not too bad for a decoration, I mean it’s funny money, what are you saving it for? If I get 1 free quick harvest cool, that I would do to start off a long term crop. I like this item.
Once again though, incomplete information, this Zynga needs to work on.They are smart enough, just do it right.

30,000 farmcash is almost nothing (at least when you’re a level-70) I’m holding onto the free flight in case there’s another limited masterable crop, like SuperPumpkins in the future. My only complaint is the size: Bigger than the harvester

I hate the plane! As a level 70 I have worked hard to manage time and fun to achieve all the crop mastery. Is was one aspect of the game I really enjoyed. Now anyone can master all the crops with just a little or a lot of cash. This plane took away a challenge for the game and a badge of honor for those of us who have worked almost a year to complete this part of the game. But again it is a way for the company to make money and it is all about money…. right. The plane could have been used for some of the mundane farm chores like planting, harvesting or fertilizing but to “grow” my crops instantly…. Thanks Zynga I am just about done.

It worked for me, had my one free flight, then I sold it and bought a second one, and I didn’t get a second free flight, and I knew it wasn’t gonna happen, but it was worth a try. 30K worth almost mastering red wheat.
People, read carefully, the picture says it will cost 1 FV cash to do that flight, but it varies, underneath the picture is the following disclaimer: Please note, while the picture above states that subsequent flights cost 1 FV$, the amount of farm cash varies. The amount of farm cash for additional flights (after the initial free one) depends on the crop you are growing and how much time left until it is ready to harvest.
It wouldn’t be fair for people planting raspberries to pay the same as those planting artichokes. In any case, a part of me in glad I can’t finish my crop masteries in one day, I can look forward to playing tomorrow.

Since everyone seems to have failed algebra let me attempt to spell it out for you….
The people not getting the first flight is a glitch…if it says something about costing FVC hit cancel and try again later…
As for the costs…it is exponential…The more plots you have AND the longer till the harvest is ready will INCREASE the amount of FVC needed.
I.E.
A hand full of Raspberries will cost significantly less then a full farm of Watermelons….
Watermelons that are currently at 50% will cost less then watermelons that you just planted…

Not sure if it has to do with just the amount of time it takes to grow a crop, I think it might have to do with the number of spaces you are growing on too… I have 536 spaces for crops on my farm…I got the 1st free flight and used it for Watermelons… if you use the bushel, you only need to plant 450 to get the 3rd mastery star…. with the extra 86 leftover spaces, I planted Yellow Melons, I didn’t have a bushel for it, but I figured I’d snag one up and use it for my 2nd flight. Out of 86 crops, I got only 1 bushel!!!! (but that’s beside the point, it just pissed me off) Anyway, then I planted the Yellow Melons, and the 2nd flight cost… wait for it…. 45 fv cash!!!! Since I am really not into the decorations and more interested in mastering, and also since I got the $200 fv cash for the 7-eleven promo thing yesterday, I figured I’d splurge, but damn, that was expensive!!! I mean it’s definitely worth the 30,000 coins it costs to get the free flight to bang out a 4 day crop, but the fv cash it costs afterward is definitely not worth it, unless you have endless funds. All in all I am happy that I finished the 2 tedious 4 day melon crops, I’ve been putting them off since I started. I just planted my last ginger crop and after I harvest I will only have 5 crops to go for all of the current masteries: red wheat, broccoli, corn, cabbage, and lavender… all 2 and 3 day crops, but I think I’ll keep the plane as a decoration and let the crops grow the old fashioned way…. At least they have bushels now to cut the amount in half…

The plane is cool. The idea is fantastic. The FV cash is disappointing. I bought the plane not realizing the commitment to be able to actually use this neat addition. I am not paying to expedite my crops. I might pay in coins since I have over 1 million. Everything is FV cash, not coins. Maybe do a conversion – 7FV$ or 70 coins or whatever.

I don’t understand some complaints. Yes, of course zynga wants to make money, do you expect them to pay from them all programmers that keep the game running out of their pocket so you can play a free game at work??? Come on, yes, they need money!!! It’s not like you are forced to pay money, some things are available if you pay money, and if you don’t, you can still play. It will be slower, but it is a game, if you want to be done with the game, then don’t play.
Then the ones who complain about how easy the plane is making it for some people, so what??? There is no first, second or third prize in farmville, there are no winners and no loosers, why do you care if others splurge in growing their crops faster or not? You know the time you have invested, you know how hard you have worked the game, that should be enough.

Not impressed. Just another way for us to spend the farmville cash. This and VW are the only ones that do not have a way to get a few $$ from other means like fishville in the mystery boxes and Treasure Isle in the chests. Plus I dont like the fact that we cant get fuel for coins. I need fuel and the four that I get from doing other farms and in the “Share fuel” is not enough for a big farm. Now we need more fuel to harvest the crops as the plane makes it go quickly. Come On farmville Owners.. Give us a break. The game can cost more than World of Warcraft with all the stuff that is needed by “Farmville Bucks”. I think its a great game but please make it affordable to those who cant spend our grocery money for farm cash.

I have been using the new plane and consider this a great addition for limited usage — in particular for crops of 12 hrs or less where it should only cost 1 or 2 $FV. It is a BLAST to watch the biplane do the crop-dusting thing, then it hovers and lands like a British Harrier jet. Fun!

And to those complaining? It’s something new, so there will obviously be glitches for the first little while…your cash is gone, so stop demanding it back…I may sound like an @$$ for saying that, but Zynga will not pay you all back for your lost cash…just accept it, and move on.

@Toni – it also depends on how many plots you have on your farm. I was seeing a similar ratio, but more cost. I have about 525 plots on my farm and my 0-12 hour crops were 8 FV$ and my 12-24 hour crops were 10FV$.
Mine has worked just fine. I “bought” my asparagus mastery sign today with four cycles. Keep in mind I am playing on the FV$ I got from the 7-Eleven uber bonus, I don’t know if I would have sunk real money into FV$ for crop mastery purposes, usually the FV$ I buy with my own money I use for special items in the market (mystery boxes, rare horses, etc.).
Overall, it is still a great deal. Even if you spend the 30,000 coins, use your one free dusting and then sell it, it was worth it. What else are you going to do with 30,000 coins? Even after I buy my level 70 mansion, I will still have over 13 million coins.
To the people complaining that it isn’t fair that people will buy themselves masteries, what do you really care? Why are you worried about what someone else’s XP or coins are? This is not a competitive game. There are no leagues, no standings, no championships. Sure there is the Farm of the Week award, but that has nothing to do with how many masteries someone may have. Just enjoy your farm and don’t worry about what others spend their money on.

I will not fly the biplane for FarmVille cash even though I already purchased it………………..I bought something a while back and it was 1 FarmVille cash and I never got the item and they took all 5 of my FarmVille cash I had at the time!!! I finally got 1 FarmVille cash earned after that, but that’s all I have.
I couldn’t even rescue my dog who was taken to the pound because I was slightly late in feeding her after a week. Also, what’s up with the timeline for feeding the dogs? I unfortunately purchased the dog very late one night (about 10:00 p.m.) and then I had a very small window at that time of night to feed her for the two weeks. Give us a break!
The games are also being ruined for us because the cool stuff everyone wants to buy to decorate our farms require FarmVille CASH. The game hardly gives us any CASH for our efforts. Question #1: When are you going to switch some of the items to coins?????? Question #2: How about converting coins to FarmVille cash??????

You’ll find the FV cash calulation is:
Number of Plots x Number of Hours to Harvests / 1000 = Cost (round down the number/ignore the numbers behind the decimal point, minimum is 1FVC)
If you have crops with different hours to harvest you need to calulate it for each group then add together
i.e
50 x 24 hours crops / 1000 = 1.200 = 1FVC
544 x 10 hour crops / 1000 = 5.440 = 5FVC

People seem to be confused thinking all crops after the first free flight are 1 FV cash. That was just an example. For the first planting of watermelons, the cost was 44 FV cash! So, unless they come out with another way to earn flights, I think my plane will remain idle on the runway.

I agree with Bruno (#26), BA (#53), and michael70 (#137). Why not just make it so the “instagrow” crops don’t count toward mastery? At this point you may as well be able to buy the mastery signs with farmcash.

Ok, here’s how it works…
Everything is measured in “Crop/Hours” so a 10 hour crop would take 10 “Crop/Hours” and 2-10 hour crops are 20 “Crop/Hours”. If you’ve waited for 2 hours, those crops now have 8 “Crop/Hours” each before you can harvest them.
The biplane charges by the number of “Crop/Hours” so…
0 – 2000 “Crop/Hours” = 1FV
2001 – 3000 “Crop/Hours” = 2FV
3001 – 4000 “Crop/Hours” = 3FV
and so on. Now, I may be off by 1 “C/H” here and there but I don’t have access to their systems, I just figured it out using my farm, so don’t flame me for it.

I used the biplane the first time for my co-op and it was free. I applied the 2nd time and i was charged 1FV. When I tried the next time for my corn crop, it said i don’t have enough FV but I have 12FV, so that means the succeeding application of the biplane is more than this amount. It’s cool to use for the first time….the succeeding, nope!

the FV$ depends on the length of the crop and the number of plots you have…. the 1 FV$ is probably for growing rasberries. ALSO — if you did not get your free flight — did you right-click on the plane and select to use your free time, or are you clicking on the biplane picture on the middle button — make sure you click on the plane to get the free flight.

I liked the initial idea of this….but FV doesn’t explain to you when you first PURCHASE the plane that it will take MORE fv dollars to use it a second time…..my son was upset. he had 25 FV dollars…and to use his plane- FARMVILLE WANTED TO CHARGE HIM ALL 25 OF HIS DOLLARS!!!! cropduster is not $1, it’s $10 fvd for a one day crop, and if you have a 2 day crop, who knows. I had 27 fvd and it said i didn’t have enough. so it’s probably going to cost big real $ in order to use it….just like the gas/fuel situation.

Used my first free biplane flight for yellow mellon. Good deal. Next time it wanted to charge me 44 fv$ to harvest. What a Fk’n joke. No way jose. Sold the piece of junk and bought another hoping for a another free ride. No free ride with the puchased plane. Now waiting four long days to harvest my melon before I sell this rip-off plane to make space for something else.

My experience with the biplane ….
Buying the first time you do get the free flight. Selling then buying a second biplane – NO FREE FLIGHT. So you can’t buy and sell the biplane each time to use up coins instead of FV cash
Also on my farm 440 plots
1FV$ 2 hr crop (raspberries)
2FV$ on 6hr crop (aloe vera)
6FV$ on 12 hr crop (white grapes)
I guess 1-4 day crops will be hugely expensive.
If we used the biplane all the time tho, we would gain all our masteries within a day and reach level 70 within a couple of days so I guess it’s not designed to use it continuously. Will be handy for occasional use when we are short of time (in co-ops etc)

I bough the BIPLANE and did use it for FREE the first time. It was great! I spent 30,000 coins to buy it, and instantly, when it grew my 4-day ARTICHOKE crops in one second, I gained 11,440 back! So, I am NOT using the biplane ever again because I am NOT spending REAL MONEY playing FarmVille. Now, the biplane will be only another decoration in my farm. Thanks! I bought the plane. Wish I would have known about the new co-op though, but I have enough coins anyway. I have a long way to go with my crop mastering as I have left the ones that take the longest to complete last. The first flight is free and it says it when you click on it. Then I used it on only a 4 hour crop and I think I paid $2. Now when I planted a 2 day crop I didn’t have enough. It didn’t say how much so I got more fv cash. With the time left on my crop which was a little over a day it ended up being $10 or $11. Not too bad. That got me done a day early and with the new market I mastered the crop from beginning to end all at once. It can be well worth it. The longer the days the more it will be. I just planted watermelon today and it said it will cost 45 to use the plane. I figure I will wait a day or two then use it. It will still be a little costly but I just want to get my crops mastered faster. I don’t want to wait 4 days for a crop so I think it will be worth it. I will just let them grow a little until they are at a cost I feel ok with. It is all about whether you want to get your crops harvested faster which means you are probably trying to master them all. People that are doing that and want to get it done and not wait probably won’t mind the fees. Others that don’t mind or just don’t want to pay will find it useless or too much! Overall for those of us that want to master our crops faster and don’t mind paying or that need the help with the co-ops to complete them it will be worth it. I must say I am happy with it and like the idea. Of course I won’t be sold on every amount but like farmvillefreak posted the cost depends on the crop you are growing and how long your crops have left.

I do also agree with Egyptsy they do need to have a chart posted. At least show what each crop will cost flat out as soon as we plant it. Then we can guess from there if we have to. Or maybe the system even goes down by so much with each percentage that is complete. Some sort of chart will help even if it is just showing up the crops according to days for harvest. I went in completely blind on the watermelon. I will assume from here that all other crops that take the same amount of time will probably cost the same or close to if I grow them right away. My friend is pretty nifty at finding charts for everything I will have to get her on top of it. Maybe there is some sort of chart out there for us! If not hopefully they get one together soon. I will continue to use the plane regardless I guess. I’ll just go in blind in the meantime and wait a few hours or day or so if I must on some crops!

I just figured it out. It is coming out to be $1 for every 2 hours. So if you take the time left on a crop and divide it by 2 you will get the cost. Although the biplane will tell you. You can also calculate the hours a crop will take right away and you will know how much it will cost before you even choose that crop. It may not be worth it to harvest crops right away but you can turn a 4 day crop into 2 for $24 which may be worth it. I have noticed that if you have the biggest farm with a lot of plots you can master the 3 and 4 day crops in one shot with the mastery bonus you get from the farmers market. I find it worth it to complete some of the crops because I don’t want to sit and wait 3 and 4 days on them all and I have a lot of plots so I can master a lot of them in one shot with the new farmers market bonus. Of course not everyone will see it that way! Hope my post helps! I am pretty positive that it is $1 for every 2 hours. My second time around was $2 for a 4 hour crop. And I also did a 6 hour crop and I am now on a 4 day one. So it adds up.

this bi-plane thing really done me right over as people would think that it costs just 1fv to do second flight well thats where i was mislead the second flight for me however was 16fv cash and unluckily i had 17 left it didnt tell me however that it would cost this much only when i done it i realised that i had somehow been robbed yes people robbed cos thats wat it feels like 16 whole farmville cash which took me ages to get as i finished on level 70 when i got it so i cant level up to get more ive emailed zynga twice already and they say try clearing your cache thats why it probably said 1fv well it still says it so people dont be mislead by zynga there out to rob u as well lol

I just love all you people who complain… ‘why’s all the good stuff cost $ farm cash?’ … the reason is OBVIOUS… They want to make money! Do you think Zynga just has millions of dollars to let people play the game for free? They probably have to spend a TON of money to keep this game up and running. Not to mention, constantly adding new things to please all you whiners. You should be happy that people are willing to spend actually money on farm cash. They are helping this game to keep running. And did you seriously think ‘buying time’ was going to be cheep? Honestly some people on here are so dumb. The whole idea behind this game is to get you hooked so that you will buy Farmville cash? How else are they suppose to support this game.. you really think every thing is going to be free? The plane is just another way to get you to buy FV cash so you can hurry your crops. Whats the hurry? Real crops don’t grow in one second. Some people do have money to blow and things like this are for them. If you don’t have the money just enjoy the free stuff and quit complaining.

I like to master my crops on my own, the only thing I would use this silly lil plane for is Co-Op but Im not to sure if that is a option. Has anyone tried it during a Co-op and succeeded FVC or no FVC Im curios as to if it works while a job is active if so THATS SO FREAKIN AWESOME. The post above says the cost depends on how much time is left for your crops so if your planting a 4 days crop and trying to insta grow it automatically of course its gonna cost. Yes this feature is unfair to some but tell me one thing Zynga has done that has satisfied all of us. If you dont like the cost of the plane and the cost of its use then dont by the dang thing and wait for your crops to grow like you have been its that simple. Really all of you complaining about the free flight, the flight is not actually free if you already spent the money on the plane it’s a bonus and if it doesnt work then wait…it takes time to get thing aired out and working right…Zynga will make it right they always do and always have they are only trying to give us what we want and yall do nothing but bitch and complain about any and every new feature they add. I did use the plane for the first free flyby while doing a co-op to speed things up and it did count….so in answer to your question it does work.. what I am wondering is I have gotten two of them – one is still in my giftbox…I am wondering if the other one will give me a free fly-by….I am a co-op junkie by the way if you can’t tell…LOL

wow, some of you people really need to READ this before posting a complaint. the first time you use it it IS free! and anytime after that, it costs you farmville cash. the amount will NOT always be JUST 1$ it all depends on how much time you have left to grow your crops. you may only have like 4 hours left and thats when it may be 1$ or you could have 2days left to grow it, it all depends on the crop its self.
the only thing i would like is if possibly somewhere there was a list that said what crops cost what amount at what time. or if it would tell you how much farmville cash you needed, so you could buy that or save up for it.
other than that i think its a great addition to the game.

From the start flew 400 plot 8 hour crop for $4, then 6/27 $7, 6/28 $8, 6/29 $13 . don’t mind buying FV cash, but when I get ripped off with no chart to tell me 400 plots/8 hours = $$$ Will not waste my money ANYMORE on any FV items untill it’s published from FV what the cost are and WHY the change as you fly more. NO MORE REAL $$$ FOR FV $$$ !

The idea of the biplane is a relly good one except the terms of usage need to be more clearly specified nowhere does it say that the amount to fly after the first flight would be contingent on the crop and the time span. there should be one set price to fly the darn thing. considering the fact that all the better stuff (which there seems to be a shortage of) in the market is bought with FV anyway. why not have a set price, since even a million coins doesnt buy much.

They seem to have changed the formula for the plan.
It use to be:
$1FV = first 2000 hours + $1FV for every additional 1000 hours
(hours are plots x hours of growth left)
So 500 plots of strawberries use to cost $1FV
Now it’s costing $6FV for the same, does anyone know what the new formula is?

you do actually need farmville cash to use it the first time, even though it doesn’t spend it. but the next time will cost you. i have a plot of land that fills 180 squares. i planted artichokes in all of them to get the the third mastery because i am so close to it. but using the bi plane on this would cost me 60 farmville cash. it’s a bit of a rip off. why can’t they do a coin to cash exchange on farmville. it’d make it more fun for many people.

I got it and used it the first time for free. I used it with artichokes which was great because take 4 days and it grew right away. Also bought a biplane a while ago, figured to wait a bit until I needed to use it for something like a co-op or something else… now I need bushels for the spa thing and planted two diffrent type of flowers that take two days and figured I could finally use the plain… No go… didn’t get to use it. am i the only person that thinks it is insane to spend real money (i.e. usd) to buy farmcash?? sure, there is the notion that zynga should be rewarded for producing this game… but that is an abstraction… a thought experiment. for each individual person that actually spends their own money from their pocket on this game, don’t you feel like a retard??
