UPDATE 1: It looks like FarmVille will be rewarding lackluster farmers. For those farmers that have not visited their farms for seven days, FarmVille will be sending them a special Care Package for being a neglectful farmer. Note, besides not visiting your farm for seven days, in order to receive the prize you will have had to give FarmVille a valid email address.
The Care/Bonus package is sent from FarmVille to those absentee farmers that haven’t visited their farms in 7 days. The email from FarmVille contains the link to the Care Package and also gives farmers the ability to send Care Packages to their FV neighbors.
The gift tag line is “Here’s a special bonus package with fuel, farm cash, and other goodies. Come claim it now!”.
It offers 3$FV, 1 fuel refill and 1 Unwither as well as the 1 of 3 options, 10 Stable Materials, 3 Puppy Kibble, or 10 Spring eggs. I was just given one – by whom, not sure – but I was given 3 farm cash – an unwither – full tank a fuel and my choice of 3 items (one of which was 10 nursery parts!!) Problem is, I play at least 7 times a day! So, I’ve never neglected my farm – it’s a glitch, I know…but it’s FREE farm cash!

I can confirm that, already received one from a neighbor – when you get it, you can send it to up to 30 others
Question is, is that aone time usuable or can i use it again? I have a few already, tried to use a second one – lead me directly to my farm, so i basically lost it. Is it one time only or one a day or…?

10 horse stable items = 2 of each. I selected horse stable since I can use 6 of them into the nursery

wonder how long this will last when they realize ppl’s fv cash total will be rising by 3 bucks a day…i already received one and used it. tried a second one that was sent to me but like said above led me directly to farm. with luck i can use it tomorrow…until its disabled when they realize it will get out of hand.

Here’s the link, anyone can get the bonus from it, no need to send it to only 30 people. I don’t think you can use it every day. About the dog, 3 cash is exactly what you need to have your pooch back from the pound:)). So you have the impression that you’re gaining something when in fact you aren’t.

I don’t know if this is the same thing, but a friend just sent me a “Farmville Bonus Pack” as a gift and it said care package somewhere in there. It contained 10 fuel refills, 3 FV cash, and something else. Also it had the pick an additional reward, and the 3 2nd options were 10 spring eggs, 10 stable materials, and puppy kibble

Well, it was a treat to have received such a nice present from my neighbor since I missed the chance to earn 3 FV cash via joining Bing. Apart from the cash, fuel and unwither spray it offers you to choose between 10 easter eggs, 10 stable items or 3 kibbles. Owing to the fact that most of us are in dire need of stable items to complete nursery so the prize actually worths praising.

I just got a package as a “Bonus”—
It contained 1 unwither, 1 complete fuel refill, and 3 farmcash. I then got to pick my bonus prize which was either 10 easter eggs, 10 stable items, or something else. I picked the easter eggs.
I sent it on thinking it was a joke, but put in there I didn’t know if it worked—- Went back to my farm to see if I had gotten it—-

This is great, I just got one as a gift from someone – it had 10 parts for my nursery/stable (stable is long since done so didn’t need those), a fuel refill, three FV$ and an unwither. When it was in my notifications, I thought it was a fake, so I skipped the part where I could also send it to my friends, then I came over to Farmville Freak and saw it was legit, and I have all of the items in my gift box. I could never leave my farm for seven days, but I have friends who are semi-inactive, so hopefully I will be the beneficiary of them being able to send the care package to me as a gift! This was certainly a pleasant surprise this morning.

I left farmville because 1) I ran out of fuel and 2) I got tired of the overload of new content and features without making sure any of them worked 3) the addiction 4) to enjoy half of anything they did you needed to pay real money, and I didn’t want to get drawn in to that. So I got this e-mail that everyone is talkinga bout it. I decided to click on the link just to see what the special item was….page cannot be found! Yet again, farmville couldn’t help itself from more quantity at the price of poorer quality.

Seems like the disability of Zynga to delineate the regular and once in a week farmers. Remember the 3 easter egg option? it was introduced for the newbies but everyone could get their legitimate share of bounty specified for someone else. Same is the case with this one, the only science would be to have the aforementioned link (Which i think is right) and there you go!

I got the care package too even though I farm every single day… nearly on hourly basis. I was able to pass it on to 30 of my friends (well at that time I only sent it to maybe 10… should have sent it out more). Now I’m receiving more packages from my friends, but you can only use one.

Considering my gift box is full of kibble, arborists, and farm hands. I was screwed when I accepted mine. It didnts fit in my gift box!!!! so I lost it!!! I am so livid!!! They NEED to give us more room in that gift box!!!
Also I have no room for a freaken nursery on my farm!!! Are you kidding me??? When are we going to get more land?? I cant fit anything anymore!! Its so crammed together my farm looks like crap!

I love playing FV, but seriously people – calling others LAZY for not logging in to the game. Think of all the more constructive things they are doing rather than sitting in front of a computer monitor all day.
I hardly think abandoning the internet if lazy – quite the contrary actually.

@Amy This package will go into your Gift box even if you have 50 items in there.
The Nursery is fairly small, taking up a little over 4 plots of land. This will hold your baby animals so the room they are taking up will be freed.
@Frannie If it did not make your gift box you should be able to accept another. (Not positive but something similar happened to me with the 1FVC bonus gift for April)

You may be told u get 10 stable items… but u dont.. i only got 4 ( 2 shoes and 2 harnesses).. and its only 1 care package per farmer.. so i have 5 more packages to claim and they r useless. I already lost 2 packages trying to claim them.

You can only accept one care package if you have more they will be lost. If your friends send you gifts regardless of what it is you should be able to receive it. I hate getting excited about a gift then losing it.

Whoa! no one read this right i see by reading the comments. The info on the bottom about being neglectful for 7 days to receive a special surprise is not the same as the “stimulus” reward. if you think about yesterday lots of places were giving out “tax relief” or “stimulus” services to customers.. for one instance Starbucks was giving a free 10 0z cup of coffee if you brought in your mug. its just because of the tax thing. this isnt related to the 7 day neglect your farm surprise… please read more carefully.

I am very peased with my reward although I wouldn’t consider not farming for a week to get it. I notice they give $3FV so that you can use that to pay for your dog to be released when you haven’t played in a week!! Not bad as a bonus for nothing though.

my gift box (on the feed page) is filled with these. All together I received 12 and accepted one only because I read on the feed that if you accept more than one it just takes you to your farm. We will have to wait and see if I can accept one tomorrow too. Btw, I have not been away from the game for even one day so everyone can get these gifts.
I received an unwither, plus the 3fv cash and had a choice of some other things, I chose materials for the new nursery AND I got to send it to 30 people… so all in all it is a good thing. Weren’t people just saying the other day how wonderful it would be if they would give 3fv cash?? Now it has happened!

If it were only for those who were gone for a week then they wouldn’t be able to send to 30 friends. This is a great gift for everybody but just originated from someone who received the email. The rest of us can get it because it was sent to us. I am grateful for this unexpected surprise and it is not a glitch. It was meant to be shared and everybody was meant to receive at least one. Hopefully we will be able to accept another one tomorrow.
Also, you folks should not worry so much about your puppy. He will not starve or really run away. He is NOT REAL!!! LOL, not real, just animation. My pet in Petville has been in the pound for over a month because I don’t have time to play… it is not real!! Does no one understand how businesses are run???
This is not a reward for not playing the game for 7 days or for rewarding what most of you are calling ‘lazy farmers’. This is a strategic business move to get players who have stopped playing the game to get back to it. They are expecting a certain percentage of people to be motivated by this gift and get back to the farm … expecting them to play a bit and some to play a bit more and eventually get back into the addiction and even spend real money.
Btw current players can receive the reward via gifting so why the heck is everyone complaining about this??

Wow, people are so quick to judge.
The idea that Zynga did this to make people neglect their farm and have their puppy run away, thereby making money off them when the puppy needs to be rescued is absurd. The care package INCLUDES the 3 FV cash needed to rescue the puppy. The package is clearly designed to entice people back to the game after having lost interest; it also appears to be a kind of peace offering for those who quit the game because of all the technical issues lately. In that respect I think it’s admirable that they would do this.
Secondly, likening the care package to welfare is beyond silly. As I said before, the package is designed to bring people back to the game who have quit or lost interest for whatever reason. It’s exactly like a company sending you coupons in the mail to try to secure your continued interest in their products. You are also allowed to send the care package to 30 neighbors, which means essentially everyone has access to the package regardless of whether they’ve been “lazy” or not.
The political/social implications of linking welfare and laziness is something I won’t even go into here, because I won’t be able to stop and this isn’t the place for it. But in short, there is some major fail happening in these comments. Stop being paranoid, stop being bitter, accept the damned care package and enjoy the game. Jeez.

ATTENTION HERE!
Be careful trying to apply unwither to a friend’s farm. As you know, when they haven’t visited their farms along certain time you can apply unwither for free, but if you have recived this care package it will take the unwither you got from it!

@ all afraid it didnt’ work for me my neighbor sent it and all I got was a virus…..hummmmmm wonders if FV intended this to go to the few the proud the freaks!!!!!
In all honesty it didn’t work it made my computer act up and started up my virus protector which cleared it all out. I think FV hurried on this item as they do on so many things. That is why people are leaving if they’d stop adding new items and fix the old we wouldn’t get flustered with the game.
I’m one off from level 70 am about ready to sell the farm. It’s not as fun as it used to be they keep adding items I really don’t care for and more and more houses which have nothing to do with a farm. If I wanted far east I’d play a game related to it. If I wanted a seagull pooping on my farm I’d play a water game. Stick with one game and make each good that’s what they really need to do and not intertwine every game together it’s old and not only for me. Am also hearing it from so many of my farmers.
When I started out everyone was playing it then came these add ons everyone seems to be leaving. We’ll out of 150 neighbors am down to 90 rest left or sold who knows where they are.
Doesn’t help FB has done a lot of damage on the forums that doesn’t make it easy to find farmville related items.

I got a care package from a neighbor that had been on vacation. It was great to receive one. I think the idea is to get people BACK on. How many neighbors do you have that don’t farm regularly? Or just joined so someone could expand early on? I am going to contact one of my lazy neighbors just to see if they will hop back on to send a care package. This could kick start vacant farmers! Good idea Zynga. Get the buzz going again. People talk about the game more now because of co ops. I have overheard people discussing when to “start” one, or how much to plant to help out. Makes the game WAY more interactive.

I got the bonus package I am on my farm all the time.Well I had 16,But only one worked and lost one.So stopped there.Hope it is a daily thing.As I can’t level up to get cash.I don’t have the dog.Read to many comments about losing it.Si I will wait.It would be nice to open one daily but I am sure that they will expire.I will find out tomorrow as I can’t seem to find out the purpose of them nor how they work for sure.

I got my bonus pack and I’m on my farm every day? So did my boyfriend, my brother, my sister, my mom, etc…. they all got it and none of us neglected our farm for seven days! I hope we get to open one every day cause I have 30 now!

Today I get four os five special bonus packages from my firends. I accepted one of them but since then I can’t accept more.
If I click to accept special bonus package, the browser jumps to my farm, but didnt accept the bonus pack. I can accept only one package or what?

I accepted the first one, tried the second, and Ignored about a dozen that came back to me from the 30 I sent it on to as gifts. Made the assumption this is a one-time deal and that a cookie had been placed on my computer. Have received some more since then and will experiment. Unfortunately I do not need the stable parts for the Nursery. If it works, I suppose I will go for another Mystery Egg.
Don’t clog your Gift Box with Puppy Kibble, Arborists, etc. Take what you need each day from your Facebook Requests. Just remember to work from the bottom up so that they do not expire.

wow i tell u i have never read so many greedy things in my life . farmville is not making us pay for this game . and yet alot of the ones that play it cry and whine about how they didnt give us a great package .
come on its free to play . take the time to say THANK YOU . and not gripe cause of what you didnt get … be greatful to what you did .. they could make us all pay to play ..

@ Steve Vegas It’s a one shot gig! Mine finially showed up today.
To All: I still think they need to work on the load time, most of my farmers are flustered and don’t play as much because takes to long to fertilize or you can’t get on and how much useless crap they add before they test the old crap for glitches. That in itself would keep farmers coming back.
I have super high speed internet, it’ll act like dial up when I go onto farmville these days.

Notice they are setting a time limit on how long your gifts last. Used to keep mine for awhile as I’d get busy with real life. Now they expire after two weeks.
Anyone notice yesterday when you clicked on a golden egg you got 5 FV $ got it twice? Gotta love those techies when they screw up

Well, I’m not playing for a couple more days, I forgot to harvest a full field before my holiday so I may as well wait for free unwithrr, pity I didn’t know when eggs ran out cause I paniced and paid my last 5$ for eggs. No patience:/

Well, it seems it is a one time thing but still am grateful for the free 3fv cash. It would have been nice if it were once a day but I wasn’t expecting that because this is a business. If you didn’t get yours it’s not too late. Everyone gets one and you don’t have to have it sent to you. There are links all over this site including at the top of this page before the comments. Just click on it and you will get yours. Nice surprise out of nowhere and thank you Zynga!!
p.s. what to do with the 10 others in your gift requests?? just delete them. The gift requests now have a date on them to collect because Zynga needs the space. Space costs them money. Probably the reason for the new “show similar posts” that we all hate. Wish they would just create a link for farmville links only that didn’t include any of the regular feed posts. We used to have that and I really miss it.

1. Appears that no matter how many bonus packs you get, you can only use one. The rest aren’t usable. I’ve wasted 3 so far. Nice to have a bonus package, but unrealistic to assume that those 30+ bonus packages you received, that you will collect 3 FV dollars each. That’s a lot of FV cash! I think they were just looking to boost interest and not lose too many people.
2. If you want just farmville posts on your newsfeeds, then split your friends into farmville and non-farmville lists. Click back to newsfeeds, then friends, then the farmville list.
3. Yes, I hate the “show 117 similar posts” also. The only “workaround” is the message you no doubt have received that LOOKS like it would work, but doesn’t really – makes you feel better that you tried though:
TO FIX the new ‘show similar posts’, go To your Profile, click the options button below “Share” and then click on Settings and then in the ‘Stories posted by friends’ section simply UNCHECK the “Combine Posts” box. That’s all there is to it. The posts will come back like they used to be. PASS IT ON SINCE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AFFECTS YOUR POSTS ONLY SO IT MAY TAKE A WHILE FOR ALL TO UNCHECK THEIR BOX

hmm i was able to recieve one… and my gift box was oozing at that time.. but to my surprise, it said that i have 60 gifts .. see that! 60 gifts.. [ the gift limit was 50 right?? ] i dunno what happened.. well, whatever.. the thing was, i got all the items.. and it only worked once.. i have 10 requests of this thing.. and i have accepted 2.. but only one worked..

im confused on a couple of things
1. will an email be sent EVERY 7 days i dont play with a new care package i can claim?
2. will i be able to send/accept gifts in between these 7 days and still get the package?
3. when i send it 2 my friends after 7 days of me not playing when it asks me in the email, will they be able to accept under any circumstance? including accepting one a bit earlier?

Opened email then clicked reward only ONCE and this is the message I got “Howdy Farmer! You can only claim one bonus package.” By the way I have been a very active farmer, I have not been away for more then 6 hours let alone a day. Perhaps more fixing needs to be done.

I used the farmville bonus. I don’t mean to sound unappreciative, but I’m pi$$ed that they are giving ‘bonus packs” to ppl who DON’T get on their farms everyday! What about those of us who DO? I LOVED getting the free $3 most of all, but it really ticks me off that WE don’t get a reward for spending time on ours but the slackers do! It’s wrong, but not suprising!
