Are Celebrity Farmers Invading FarmVille?
Of all the millions of people that play FarmVille, there is no doubt some celebrities farming it up too!
As reported by DreamCreeper.com, lately, some celebrities have come out of the closet about their virtual farming addictions. It is rumored that Lady Gaga, Wyclef Jean, AnnaLynne McCord, Avril Lavigne, Ellen and Rachael Ray play FarmVille in their spare time. Who else is farming? We know Dr. Phil isn’t a fan of FarmVille.
This makes us wonder if any of you celebrity farmers out there are also FarmVille Freaks? I’m hoping Lady Gaga is one.

Of course it is very likely that anyone who qualifies as a “celebrity” would have enough good sense to not use either their given name or their stage name. The digital paparazzi would be all over them with neighbor and friend requests, and I’m sure if famous folk play it is to be “normal” for a few hours.

When you are on tour there is a lot of downtime, and weird feeling of being out of your element all the time. I bet a lot of entertainers do play farmville.
Also, the article mentions that farmville has more usage than twitter? That means soon probably EVERY celebrity will have a farm, if only to communicate better with their fans. And maybe some brands will start partnering with zynga for stuff like farm decorations, farmer’s clothes. Do they do this already in yoville? It would be awesome!!!

I am a dutch celebrity (from jensenhumor), and i am overaddicted to farmville, so why would lady GG and miley cyrus, justin bieber, pornstars ( did i just typed pornstars?) not play farmville? I also know, you always get that unrecognised people, but there is a bot for that! (firefox only)

The Royals of Great Britain play farmville. Currently I am on level 63 and Charles is on level 59. We are awaiting for the new dog feature and do hope that they will feature corgis to put outside my pink cottage.
I will ask leaders of the world when they visit me if they play farmville and let you all know.

Just two things to toss out there…
1) It’s entirely possible for someone to have the same name as a celebrity. He’s not very well known, but I have a same-name person out there who is a published author. (He’s not that well known because his writings are architecture textbooks.) So if you see a Julia Roberts or a Mariano Rivera, it’s not necessarily the one you’re thinking of. (Besides, those folks probably wouldn’t actually use their “known” names.)
2) Yes, celebrities do have personal lives which sometimes have little or nothing to do with what they are famous for. I personally know a former Olympic multi-gold-medalist, a former major league baseball player (now the team’s TV guy), Michael Eisner’s former personal assistant, and one of the ladies who does press conferences for the Cal Tech earthquake lab… and met ALL of them at their “other” activities (one at church, the other three while participating in canine sports events).
