Just like Frontierville, which I hate.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:13 pm
Love them! Can’t wait to get them!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:14 pm
will the tree be masterable
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:17 pm
I’d rather have xp’s and fuel
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:20 pm
I LOVE IT !!! Sorry Susan….I only play FV.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:21 pm
Very happy with the new stuff .. tired for a long time about fuel … and Sherry the new collection will also give you coin and xp’s (before complaining give a look on you’re collection farm, it’s clearly explain) oh can wait to I’vgot the white cherry blossom tree!! and the cow ;0))
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:21 pm
Did not see any option for earning XP..wonder why the could not just give the option to pick the reward instead..that would be better..then could pick the items we needed and or really wanted instead of a bunch of stuff we may not need.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:22 pm
Can’t say as I’m too thrilled with a changeover I wasn’t quite understanding & therefore lost a lot of stuff because I didn’t get it traded in. I’m very sure I’m not alone on this one. As usual-clarity is not Zynga.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:24 pm
That’s one way to get you to buy fruit trees and sell you fuel. I’m lucky and have enough fuel for a few years but people new to the game, boy do I feel for them.
THEY COULD HAVE GIVEN US A CUTOFF DATE AND TIME but in typical zynga style it’s let’s see who we can piss off the most. Who wants a cow or a fruit crate! Maybe those new but established players sure aren’t going to take some silly cow over one that gives a good return. COME ON ZYNGA..no wonder the people in CW are on strike
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:24 pm
these things are so cute!! can’t wait to collect them all
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:30 pm
We were compensated for the old collection upon the arrival of the new. did no one read the pop up on their farm?. I see many people didn’t. I recieved 1200 exp and 30,000 coins for the collection items I had that were not complete sets. I think it was time for a change on that. it was getting old and boring. I like this new collection. I may actually visit neighbors farms now in hopes of finding items.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:31 pm
I think this is a nice change from the old collections…I can’t wait to complete them all!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:31 pm
And what happens when you max them all? No more prize? Do it all over?
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:34 pm
I hate that we can now win the mill…I feel like I just wasted 25 cash when I bought one
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:35 pm
Looking forward to the new collections – didn’t bother with the last lot of collections.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:36 pm
@Chloe, no, it says the tree is decorative only.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:39 pm
How about giving away a few farmville dollars…now THAT would be a real reward to us avid players that spend TONS of cash on your site!!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:39 pm
@ Mary, it’s not the same mill. I like the 25 farm cash one better.
I’ve seen a few collection posts on my news feed. Does anyone know how many can be collected from each? It looks to me like ONE per post. More fighting and name calling if that is the case. It’s bad enough over the trees.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:45 pm
I lost all 56 old collections and so lots of fuel and XP..i tollay hate this..
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:50 pm
What a crock
This could well be the thing that makes me quit FV ‘cos I don’t do any crafting so, other than picking up off the feed and the occasional egg fuel refills is going to limit my crop mastering. Bad crack Zynga…
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:51 pm
Other than the water mill, these rewards kinda suck!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:54 pm
Most of the collection items are YAWN, although the cows are cool and so is the tree. I hope you can master it! Instead of having two arborists available, why isn’t there a farmhand available? I would also rather have a horse available than a pony because I think they are ugly (nasty comments welcome) I will not miss the fuel because you can get tons of it by buying crafts from your friends. Let’s have a little ingenuity Zynga. It’s about time you asked us what we want instead of assuming you’re giving us something really cool, when it’s really crap.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 2:55 pm
i like the animals over buildings, or usable items…
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 3:03 pm
NICE!!!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 3:10 pm
I like them, can’t wait to earn them!!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 3:35 pm
The only level three I don’t like is the tree that’s decoration only.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 3:37 pm
So does anyone know can I delete all the extra collections I have been saving in my gift box? Nice to get the coins and XP but what about the fuel I missed out on? Don’t like the new collections except maybe the cows. Oh well another foot closer to giving up on FV.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 3:44 pm
@ Deborah,
The left over collection items in your gift box are useless according to the farmville blog.

You earn xp and coin everytimes you done one collection plus one item… seriously people , it’s so funny to see how many people don’t know read at all
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:21 pm
if u have orchard… why we need arborist? i have 25 orchard… i dont need arborist…
but it’s ok with this collections…
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:30 pm
In reading these comments, I see so many about people not having enough fuel, how can you not have enough, it is so easy and simple,
All you have to do is every day buy one good from each of your neighbors that has goods for sale, you do not need to have a crafting building for this, you can access the buy goods tab thru your market stall.
The higher level of good that is purchased gives you a larger amount of fuel.
You are allowed to purchase one good from every neighbor every 24 hours, you then turn in the items bought for fuel, again accessing the trade tab from the market stall, at the top click the use goods button.
That is why your neighbors have crafting buildings because it provides fuel for YOU!!!!!!!
It’s easy , benefits your neighbors and you and only takes a few minutes, On average I have between 500 to 1000 units of fuel available at all times.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:31 pm
Zynga should have given us an actual cut off date and the opportunity to release our old collections. The petty coins and FV cash I received did not equal the value of what they took from me! Not interested in any of the new items….they all look like kids stuff! I wish Zynga would concentrate on resolving all the existing bugs and glitches as many items on my farms do not work properly. I’m not impressed at all. Just another reason to say goodbye to FV!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:42 pm

Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:44 pm
If you have two farms, 400 plots each, especially if you’re using 2-3 crops per day, there’s no way buying crafts from neighbors will be enough, not everybody has that many neighbors and not all of them are into crafting anyway. Since EC I’ve been bleeding fuel and I always have to choose between crops I need for crafting and crops for quests or the ones I need mastering. One more impediment, yay Zynga.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:48 pm
Lucy you know if you are done with FV be done and that’s all …anyway still found it’s childish too be done just for that ..but if you accumulate frustration for little thing like this , it’s because it’s about time that you stop crying and you leave…
This game is make to be fun .. if you don’t have fun quit that’s all …but stop people treatening Zynga everytimes something doesn’t goes the way you want!!
After we ask why teenager aren’t easy, when we read all very adult people (cause seriously , the majority of player aren’t teenager here!!) crying for stuff all the time!!
Just to explain here , we can be mad and say what we don’t like ( I am not saying that we have to agree with everything , and I am not saying that Zynga is perfect) I also agree that they have to communicate more!!
But I am not going to treatening them to quit the game , like a little babies …Grow up people!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:48 pm
Its nice that they changed and cashed if for us but would have been nice if the would have given us the fuel that went with the collections. The reason is I just completed everyone of them and i was going to turn them all in this weekend so i could get the fuel for them i dont really care for the other thing i just wanted the fuel.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 4:51 pm
Irina if you don’t like craft … assume the fact that you don’t have enough fuel , because you don’t play the game , the way is design … just too bad for you!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 5:04 pm
I like it that they have new collections, but I still get collectibles from the old collection out of my mystery eggs.. and that’s kind of a bummer since I can’t use them anymore
So Zynga please fix it and give me a new Old English Hen or something like that instead =)
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 5:13 pm
what do they have against giving us Farmhands? why can’t one of the prized be farmhands… with hundreds of animals those are priceless!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 5:39 pm
Quit your whining people. You’re crying over lost cow bells and butterflies? Really?
These new collections are great! I’m happy that it changed!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 5:44 pm
I will miss the free gas:((
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 6:31 pm
I only hope the collectibles won’t be as hard to obtain as the old collectibles have been these past several months!! Other than that I like alot of the prizes but not all of them are worth much!!!!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 6:32 pm
How can you guys complain……seriously you get fuel from the goods…..it doesn’t cost farm cash just coins and you can get so much seriously what is the problem…. we are getting cool new items for FREE for once a new horse isn’t an insanely high price for some pixels i don’t see the problem here i think Zynga actually did something good this time…. and considering i freaking hate Zynga at present for lying about returning farm cash for the useless sheep we bought i do think they did a good thing here
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 6:38 pm
The compensation for the old collections is atrocious. No fuel returned. And received compensation for six completed sets when there were over 40 completed. Same with my brother and my mother. Zynga at its best, NOT!!! Who cares about more junky collectibles and cows?
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 7:09 pm
I love it:)
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 7:22 pm
soooooooo sad,, the old collections were my way to get extra fuel
you should let us know that we will lose these collections so I could trade mines before they gone
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 8:01 pm
New rewards are lame. I want my fuel back! Compensation given was pathetic. At level 102 and 22 million coins – what was given as compensation was meaningless!
Things that are broken should be fixed before they introduce more bugs into this game!
Time to reclaim my life and say good bye to Farmville!
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 9:27 pm
These prizes leave a lot to be desired, there is less XP and coin given for completing a collection, which now requires more total parts than the old ones. Further, on completing three of a given collection, one much collect more in order to go back to level 1 prizes.
I have no way of knowing if I was adequately compensated for my incomplete collections when the changeover occurred.
I will probably ignore them and let them complete themselves just as I did with the limited collections.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 11:07 pm
I just have one question for all the people who said they lost completed collections…WHY DID YOU NOT TURN THEM IN WHEN THEY WARNED US THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? I saw the notice, but I do read.
Posted on May 6th, 2011 at 11:16 pm
Yay….I love the items we can earn!!! I like the cute decorations. Glad there’s another adorable gnome to add to my collection, Love the water mill building & I think it’s great the horse and cows are breedable and I’m looking forward to sharing the babies w/my neighbors! I love earnable animals, I’d rather earn them, then have to buy them for FarmCash!! I’m very pleased that we were given rewards for the incomplete collections, they were pretty cool for that…that really didn’t have to, as they weren’t completed. Over all, I’m pretty excited about the change!
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 12:00 am
I’ve been playing this since 2 months after it started. I have seen LOTS of change, for the most part good (or okay). Get used to change. It’s not that bad once you do it awhile. If something just really doesn’t work for the majority (because they quit doing it, as in the truffle) they will change it eventually. NOW, the biggest problem I see with this change is only one person can pick up the posted collectible. It’s not even worth trying for if you know it’s from someone with lots of active neighbors. So most of my neighbors are just posting to an individual friend and no one else can get it. The old collectibles I think at least 5 people could get them. Zynga doesn’t always think things out completely!!!
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 1:46 am
Thanks for the opportunity to win some new prizes. However who needs tons of crate arches etc. The elimination of the free fuel from collections totally sucks.
I have two farms and even though I mastered all the crops on the original farm and I am working on the English Farm, getting fuel is a very slow process. Crafting does not reward enough fuel plus with 6 or 7 active crafters, the supply always runs low.
Having played FV for over 1 year, I know we used to have fuel replenished automatically every few minutes. Why was this stopped? Other games (Frontierville and Treasure island) award free energy over a specific time.
Why not bring this feature back now that we cannot get them from collections?
Alternatively let us keep more of the goods we craft for ourselves..at least 50/50 split would be great!.
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 4:18 am
Not happy at all… I do not need 100XP, I need fuel! Visited the neighbours farm, bought craft items, chase the collection, all for fuel… Old collection had 250XP by the way, the prizes are made for kids… OK, so in the end You get a horse… Wow, I am so happy with 10 mill. horses. Do not like it one bit…
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 5:19 am
What are they classing as citrus tree does anyone know. Obviously the lemon and orange but which others?
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 5:28 am
Some of the rewards may be nice, but this is definitely not an improvement. Until now a complete collection gave a user 5 fuel refills, which already wasn’t a lot. This means the illumination of an important source for fuel. Zynga should have thought this through a bit better then it did. Decoration and fancy animals maybe nice, but fuel is practical and necessary.
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 6:18 am
cool, something new
of course, all goods are just at third lvl
i hope, these cows will make special offspring too.
have someone else tried this?
and, don’t know about others, but just tried to ask some collectibles, and got the list of people, who don’t play
and [2] can someone tell, what exactly are citrus and squash here, in fv?
oh, and stop complaining, people, these collections are something for FREE, just for that you are playing; you can even don’t grow anything, you still get things from cows and trees
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 7:06 am
i’m annoyed to see a free mill there, when i paid FV$ for on not 3 weeks ago. plu the animal prizes are all rubbish, just recolours or existing animals with some rubbish stuck on them. not impressed.
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 9:14 am
I have 20500 fuel ;O, I guess this will be enough for a while.
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 11:25 am
QUESTION – On the squash collections, do you have to plant the squash shown or does ANY squash count? The butternut shown is 2 DAYS, to plant a field of that on the chance of getting a collectible, isn’t great on the odds factor.
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 1:42 pm
I didn’t have any completed collections I had not turned in. I think people who had a lot of completed collections they hadn’t turned in are fools. I don’t understand not turning them in as you go along. And I REALLY don’t understand not turning them in when you WERE given notice that the collections were going to change. Getting mad at Zynga cause you’re a fool….that’s pretty funny.
What I would like to know is, why, when I click on one of the uncommon or rare collectibles that a neighbor has posted to the feed, that what I get is one of the common collectibles, and not the rare or uncommon one that the feed post says I will get. Can’t Zynga do anything right?
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 1:44 pm
@Bette…I’m just guessing, cause I haven’t tried it yet, but probably any squash crop will work. Because even harvesting hops will give you grain collectibles, so they’re not being real rigid about it.
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 5:53 pm
I had collectible saved to cash in for fuel. Did not see any notice that the collectibles were going to be removed. Did not cash them in, have no fuel, no way to get fuel, no one has any thing offered in crafting that I can use to make items to trade to fuel. So no fuel means no farming.
Posted on May 7th, 2011 at 10:28 pm
I do like this new change, nice to see something different. I do have one small issue though. Is it just me, or am I the only one getting plenty of uncommon and rare items, but hardly any common items? It seemed to be like this with the last collectibles. With the flower collectible, I have 1 of each common, 5 uncommons, and 3 rares. I just think it is a little weird. Hope everyone else is having a better mix than I am.
Posted on May 8th, 2011 at 2:15 am
I want the old collections back. The highlight of my day was seeing a pair of red shears flashing up on my screen.
Posted on May 8th, 2011 at 5:21 am
It was time to change the collections because I’m sure that I was never gonna get a blue feather but…. I am sure that I clicked on at least 3 collection pieces that were hummingbirds yet when I looked at my collection totals it shows me only having 1 (one) What’s that all about???
Posted on May 8th, 2011 at 5:34 am
What use is the pig if you can only harvest it ? Why not make it a boar we can breed from ????? the rest of it is crap
Posted on May 8th, 2011 at 3:24 pm
i dont like the farmville new collection …plz came back with old collection….it was really amazing…i dont want to play farmville with new collection….its really boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted on May 8th, 2011 at 10:48 pm
The exp, coins and fuel rewards are so much lower now than with the old collections. I know you get a few nice items, but the exp, coins and fuel were the big incentive.
I’m gonna miss hunting for those red sheers!
Posted on May 9th, 2011 at 2:46 am
What’s the max level? I want those cows but damnnnn I don’t want to sit here colelcting so many freakin’ collectibles! I hope there’s a mac and it goes back to level 1 otherwise… eep!
Posted on May 9th, 2011 at 6:02 am
Does anybody else still have the “old” giftable collectables in their gift list? (not in the gift box but the list where you choose the item you want to send your neighbors)
Posted on May 9th, 2011 at 10:57 am
For everyone on this page who regularly reads, for days before the change in collections, it published that a new collection system was coming, so anyone who didn’t get rid of their stored collections was just ignoring the warning signs.
A few days before, I cashed in 35 collections, this queued in my neighbors to cash in all of their collections. The pop-up about the collections was published on my farm and spread like wild-fire all over the place.
Personally, I think it’s a bit selfish for people to not buy goods from their neighbors for fuel. For at least a year, people complained and complained about a way for a way to obtain free fuel and Zynga provided it. If someone is above a level 100 and has millions of coins, accumulating tons of fuel for their farms is easy, if you buy and make everyday. I buy everyday and I have over 200,000 units before I cashed in my collections – just from buying and making crafts.
If someone has mastered all of the crops, what else are you going to do? I make crafts for FUEL! If you are bored with your current cottage and mastered all of the crafts, trade it in and start a new one. Geez, stop complaining.
C’mon people, all people do is complain about a free (if you want it to be) game. Just play and enjoy. You may not like the new collection system, but just play along, eventually you may like it. It reminds me of the wishing well – which people played without complaining so much – perhaps because they didn’t have to be so neighborly and actually buy or make anything.
Posted on May 9th, 2011 at 11:05 am
I have a problem with most of the new items on farmville now. They all seem to be centered around the english farm in one way or another. All are looking like frontierville items, the graphics are horrible. I’m beginning to dislike this game more and more each day. When they took the rare sheep away from us, that was about it for me. I kept playing , but am now rethinking why I even play in the first place. I used to be a hardcore player, but now hardly play at all. What’s up with zinga and all the new changes? They should leave well enough alone. I’m not going to be playing much longer.
Posted on May 9th, 2011 at 11:07 am
Btw, what are people suppose to do for fuel now? The old collection was a way to get fuels built up. With it being this way, we will have to buy fuel. That must be what zinga is aiming for.
Posted on May 9th, 2011 at 10:42 pm
nag… nag… nag…
all i see is complains
don’t take all so serious, it’s just a game!!!
Posted on May 12th, 2011 at 9:40 pm
I have one question that I can’t seem to find an answer for.
With the old collections, both permanent and limited, you could share your collectables and finished collections with 5 neighbors.
With the new collections, it seems that both collectables and finished collections can only be shared with 1 neighbor.
Is this permanent or a glitch? If it is intentional, then it seriously sucks.
Posted on May 30th, 2011 at 1:12 pm
For those asking about what constitutes a citrus tree, I believe it is any kind of lemon, lime, orange, or grapefruit. So that would include Key Lime, Blood Orange, etc.
Posted on July 9th, 2011 at 4:26 pm
how do I get rid of the
Wow sent you the white blossom cherry trees ?
It keeps popping up over and over and yes I have contacted Zynga.
Posted on July 31st, 2012 at 10:36 am
How many levels are there for each collection? I know for a 100% fact there are more than three being that with one of them. I am at level seven with one of them and nine with another. The game still has not shown any indication that I am approaching the final level.
