FarmVille Freak Techie: Cupid’s Castle Enormous Glitch

Last night brought the release of the Valentine’s Day Cupid’s Castle. A few FarmVille Freaks have already finished constructing theirs! We have gotten reports from from FarmVille Freaks that once they finish building their Cupid’s Castle, it becomes enormous!

I want to share with you a picture of my farm where the Cupid’s Castle appears so huge, it’s probably a glitch but I thought I should share it with all of you.

Yeah this has to be a glitch cuz it is cutting plots in half and over riding animals!! I still have not gotten mine yet either!!

No, you dont want this glitch, YOu cant click on the castle.
Or collect from it. It sort of “floats” over a large portion of the farm, but you cant continue building it if you stopped half-way. It would be cool if you could still click on it or move it, or anything. But as it is – well it’s a completely useless glitch.
Such a let down, nothing ever works right on the first round anymore.

@Rualma and Pieter….the prize for finishing the art collection in Farmville is the Moona Lisa, an artist cow.
The architect cows are from a Cityville/Farmville cross promotion.

For those of you who not received their castle yet, look to the left side of your screen and you will find a red sheep, click on it, you will have two items to choose, one is the Pink Rose Stand and the other is the castle. It will cost you a few coins to buy each and set them on your farm. The first construction to your castle will require 4 each nails, boards and bricks, the second will require 15 of each, and so forth until it is completed. Hopefully ours will not take up the whole farm.

That enlargement happened to my castle last night for a while, but seemed to correct itself pretty quickly. I haven’t been to my farm yet this morning, so I’m hoping it’s behaving! haha
@ Annie … Look for the sheep in the upper left of your farm screen to do the quest (buy one thing from the market… a heart decoration that ISN’T right at the beginning of decorations (keep looking! it’s there). Once you have done that, you can click on the sheep again to view your progress and it will give you the option to Place Cupid’s Castle. Be sure to have a place cleared to set it down as you’ll be in placement mode immediately.

Dont have the Valentine Castle but alot of my neighbors do and everytime I try and click on my trees to move one it goes to out of sync it will show me moving the trees from the bin but dont let me but one back goes to out of sync this gets so frustrating everyday its always something

We don’t have it yet… But I think it’s a glitch, it sort of happened to my Orchard, after I harvested it, some trees went on BIG! & it went back after a while…

For those who didn’t get the cow painting monalisa you only can get it by completing the new nonpermanent collection.

For those of you that got the sheep in the left side of your screen but cannot buy the castle try clicking on preview and there you should have the option of buying it for 5 coins. Also my mom and my sister didn’t got theirs yet nor the sheep on the left screen. Thats sad cuz the castle is very cute so I hope they will fix it soon. Hope I could help at least a few of you. Not going to build this one. Tired of the glitches every time Zynga introduces something new and I am “on strike” until they release the land expansion for coins. Out of room and out of patience w/Zynga.

This is being rolled out slowly so don’t worry if it’s not available to you yet. Probably a good thing since the glitches will hopefully be worked out by the time you can access it. I don’t have it yet, but after having to built the Winter Workshop three times and not being compensated for the extra building materials, I’m in absolutely no hurry to build this new ugly monstrosity! >.<

I’ve found that if I go to a neighbors farm then back to my own, the castle goes back to normal size. I’m mad because I didn’t get 3 red sheep that I claimed from friends!

the “glitch” that has me upset is the orchard. can’t remove any trees from orchard. it opens my gift box for no reason, then goes oos.

For those of you who have not gotten it yet….refresh your page….look to the top left hand corner of your farmville screen…there should be a red/pink sheep….click on it..

I built my castle, no problem. I finished the first task, no problem. Now, if it is anything like at Christmas with the toy shop, I will probably get locked out of this progression. I don’t have the icon for the second task.

ok im hearing a lot of people are having the same problem i am with the whole castle thing. its not the size- the fact that i cant even place it. i had this problem with the holiday tree too and assumed it was because i was too late. so what to do now?

I’m so upset… It came up when I opened FV, but then wasn’t there to let me place it, so I went and bought it at the market and placed it and put in some boards and stuff and then left FV and when I came back, it’s just =GONE=… and it won’t let me buy another–says it’s locked.

I don’t have castle but right after they shut down and started back up I finished another tree farm and when I started putting trees in it, it enlarged just like the castle-I already had one and they look so funny side by side.

I know this has nothing to do with the castle, but it does involve a horrible glitch. I suppose it is because there is about to be a new tree released (as told by fvf and it is already showing in my tree mastery section so its coming very soon!), each time I take a tree from an orchard and place it and/or delete it the orchard still says it is in there as well, making my farm go out of sync. within moments

For those that didn’t get the Cupid’s Castle yet, I went into support and searched Cupid’s Castle. The info that came up was that it was first given to a random group of people last night and then would be given to more people very soon. I finally did receive mine later this afternoon. I also emailed support and let them know I was disappointed they did it that way because had I not known it was coming, I would not have been grabbing supplies as my friends were building theirs and posting extras. So for those of you that don’t have it yet, I suggest you start stock piling wood, bricks and nails..you will need them! First build is 4 of each, next upgrade on the castle is 15 of each, the following upgrade after that is 20 of each.

My castle is freaking HUGE! While I was building it, all I had to do was add a brick or nail or board and it would go back to its proper size. Tonight, I have nothing to add as it’s completed … OMG … refreshing the page hasn’t worked to make it behave. I even tried to store it, but it’s being stubborn and I’m getting kind of peeved.

My glitch is that since it is normal sized again I cannot start my 2nd quest. There is no icon to click to start it. grrrrrrr

Mine intermittently gets huge. I also had the same problem with the orchards making my giftbox come up and then going out of sync. That, however, seems to have fixed itself, but the castle overtakes my snow lodge and a number of plots that need harvested.

I have a problem, indeed, I can build the Cupid’s Castle, however, gets the symbols with the suitable instructions for the e.g. plants of the tulips, the chocolate etc., thus the instructions for the suitable levels not indicated. Thus the whole castle uses nothing to me, nevertheless, generally

Mine was normal sized until today when I refreshed bc my next door spa was not loading properly. when refresh was done my castle had suddenly doubled in size. It is freakishly huge. This cant be the size it is supposed to be – why else would it suddenly double in size only after a refresh if this was the size it was supposed to be?

I just refreshed again and it went back to normal size. This is definitely a glitch. It just gets big then normal then big then back to normal size (usually after a refresh).

I had the required items to completely build the cupid castle(i.e, 39 bricks, nails and wooden boards)…..
i used them and have completed the castle…
but i have not come across any of the mission such as collecting bouquets or chocolates etc…
i dont know wat do nw………
can u help me out by some suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!

this cupid,s castle same problem as the winter workshop. i got it start building; starts growing put choclade tu;lips, building material.and than … in the middle i can get in no flowers no buildinfgstuff for day,s only selling or moving.weird.

For those who can’t find the castle, look for the sheep icon on the lefthand side of your farm. It’s part of a new round of tasks to complete. There is no pop-up this time.

Mine is like being in Wonderland, one day the Castle is normal, the next day its ginormous. Usually reloading and/or clearing the cache puts it right again.

Even if your Cupid’s Castle is huge, you can still click on it and move it; you have to hover your mouse pointer over the very top of the castle until it’s highlighted. Do not click in the center or else nothing will happen. To harvest it when it’s huge, you do the same: hover your mouse pointer at the very tippy top of the castle, or you click the red diamond above it where it indicates harvest time.
My Cupid’s Castle has been doing this off and on lately, but it usually clears itself up after I refresh the page and go back to my farm.

My Castle is huge again but this time I found a neighbor inside of it. LoL. What happened was that she fed my chicken coop next to the castle and then the castle got big and her avatar shows through the castle and looks like she’s in it.

If you quickly click on the circle that will become the castle when you first log in to play you should be able to “Move to storage”…..then you can harvest Or move stuff out of the way. When you take it out of storage it should be “normal” size.

My daughter had to do the click on the red sheep thing and then got the castle. Mine appeared when i went to my farm and THEN I had to do the quests. We both have had episodes of the castle being normal one time and huge the next. I messed up moving some stuff on her farm thinking it was going to stay Ginormous lol It just depends on what mood it is in!
Also the first stage is so much prettier than the final stage. I loved the courtyard and it gets covered up
Just another farmville thing I guess. I play Cityville and FV and I haven’t seen the architect cow thing. Hope I do.

I have finished the castle and it has gone from normal to huge, then back and forth and now stuck at huge. You CAN collect from the castle if you click on the top steeple. It only collects coins as treats aren’t available yet. It has to be a glitch or it would still be able to be purchased and built. Just wait it out I guess?

As of 2-14, it still randomly shrinks back to normal size and then later again suddenly balloons back up. I have reported the problem 4 times to zynga in past 3 weeks and they have not fixed it so far and seem uninterested in fixing it as it usually doesnt take them this long to fix something. They have obviously moved on to other glitches and arent interested in fixing this one.
