FarmVille Green Giant Free Farm Cash

FarmVille Freak is proud to bring you the first product and redemption pics from the new Green Giant Promotion.

With a quick trip to the local Target Store, we’ve confirmed that the Green Giant Free FarmCash Promotion is officially live!

I found these tomatoes and vegetable medley, while FarmVille Freak CshMonkeyMama reported finding celery, lettuce, and tomatoes at her local target. Price points for Green Giant produce range from carrots at .89, to larger mixed veggies at $4.99.

While the redemption site is not accurately reporting how many codes you’ve already redeemed, it is indeed limited to 3 codes per Facebook account.

While 15 FarmVille Cash is not that large of a prize, it’s a good reward for buying produce we might be purchasing anyway.

It’s great to see Zynga partnering up with large companies for marketing. We can hope that if these promotions prove successful, we’ll see many more to come.

    1st

  2. Mschicklet Says:

Okay, so the codes work now…?

Although, how much did those products cost? 5FC would be around, what, $1? I’m guessing all of these products cost more than $1 each…

  3. Juan Says:

I bought 3 heads of iceberg lettuce for 99 cents each, which is what I’d be paying at any other store, and seeing as how all households should be buying veggies this promotion is pretty convenient.

I entered 3 codes and was only credited as entering two, and I was only given 5 farm cash, I went back and entered a code again and got another 5 cash, but now I can’t enter in anymore, hopefully I can email someone and get this fixed…

  4. pipwizard Says:

im having a look 2moro 2 c if asda in uk sell them worth a try

  5. lynn Says:

The nearest Target is clear across town. Not sure if it’s worth the trip.

  6. farmergirl Says:

ho ho ho, green giant! wouldn’t it be cute to have a little sprout (that’s him in the above pic) on our farm? eat your veggies everyone :)

  7. Maggi Says:

They aren’t being carried at any Target within 100 miles of Seattle :(

  8. Falguni Says:

is it available in Canada ??

  9. Grandpa6 Says:

Don’t have a Target in Canada and unfortunately this promotion doesn’t come north either

  10. Anonymous Says:

You could always just peel the stickers off for a free code!

  11. CapteinRadolph Says:

It’s shame all of this is only available for US costumers! A lot of FV players live outside of the USA. So why not have a global thing with a company like McDonnalds or Pepsi.

  12. Susan Says:

Just like the 7-11 promo WE are left out The closest Target to Fairbanks Alaska is in Anchorage—386 miles away. These promos are unfair to alot of us that do not have these stores in our area.It is a shame that everyone can not benefit from them!

  13. BUSTA Says:

this promo is pointless if u live in another country get over it its only 5 fc u cant buy nethng with tha lol

  14. cortnee Says:

Farmville wants us to eat healthier because we are all sitting at our computers all day farming!!!

  15. Sheri Says:

Went to my Target today and bought the Broccoli & Cauliflower Medley, Broccoli Floretts, and the grape tomatoes. The grape tomatoes were on sale too. Some of the stuff that are part of the promotion did not have the stickers on them, like the stir fry.Haven’t gotten to redeem the codes yet.

  16. Falguni Says:

yeahh of course,at least provide in canada :P

  17. th44 Says:

awe we cant get it here

  18. Paul Says:

Ummm… mschicklet, as stated above – “While 15 FarmVille Cash is not that large of a prize, it’s a good reward for buying produce we might be purchasing anyway.”

  19. Jerry Says:

    So what happen too Maine?

  20. ELY M. Says:

I will check walmart in morning after my work at walmart ;)
they may have those stuff now.

  21. HollyKim Says:

Possibly, if we can get to Target. We pay that much for produce anyway, so why not get the benefit of FV cash as well.

  22. Juan Says:

Hey! look at the second image, what’s that item behind the pig? I hope they release it soon =)

  23. Rob Says:

I have a sudden, inexplicable craving for romaine hearts! Off to Target!

  24. pafarmgirl Says:

where do you folks live that you found the products in Target? I just went to one of the Targets around here (Philly, PA) and they had some of the fresh Green Giant produce but none with Farmville promotion sickers… :(

  25. Chardy Says:

This is all ****, zynga is far to america based i think there forgetting they get there profit from all over the world and its selfish they are only promoting in the usa what about us farmville freaks in the uk that dont have 7-11 or target stores??

  26. Juan Says:

There is a new item behind the pig on the second image.

  27. Paul Says:

no way. we never get owt in the uk. i wouldn’t pay anything for this game . in the end its just a game and a bit of fun. make everything available for coins so no need to pay. farmville gonna keep losing users this way.

  28. andres Says:

    NO THIS IN CHILEEEE:(

  29. Rob Says:

Nothing at our local Target as of this evening, but it is pretty clear they are getting ready, as all of the existing Green Giant vegetables are marked 50% off and the shelves are almost clear of them. Guess they figure once they put the FV ones out, no one would buy the others and they would spoil. Will check back on Saturday.

  30. Dysel Says:

If you already have VF Cash you’ll be adding the 15 points to its a good idea.
But if you don’t have any VF Cash put plan to get those 15 points I’d look over what exatly you can get with just them. A majority of the buildings and animals are priced way above 15 points.

  31. dawn Says:

    @Chardy and others

A lot of us in the U.S. don’t get to participate either. No 7-elevens and no fresh produce at Target. I would have to travel all day get a hotel, then travel home next day to find these places.

  32. Cher Says:

Its probably too soon to know, but is Target the only place to get the produce? I am not sure if my target sells produce. Thanks!

  33. Misty Says:

Oh yay, another American-only promotion. If I knew I would be so excluded I would never have spent real money on this game.

  34. babydulcce Says:

where i find the promo code, in my area is not bucharest help plz

  35. Betha Says:

So when are they going to negotiate some of these promos with Australian Retailers?… and other countries for that matter.

  36. Julie S. Says:

Yee-haw! I just got home from the Southdale Super Target (Edina, MN) with two huge grocery bags of fresh veggies! I’m gonna be getting plenty of fiber in my diet this week. LOL!

Check out the photo of my haul here (got Celery, Potatoes, Cauliflower, Broccoli and Lettuce) each came with five free Farm Cash. :-)

    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3404125&l=9ff8581810&id=627922608

  37. wendy Says:

will definitely be using this promotion. Target is right down the street and we eat tons of veggies in the summer so why not buy them there and earn farm cash in the process!!! Yes :)

  38. Proud American Says:

@julie S. you can only use 3 of the codes, are you gonna give the others to your neighbors? you’re just wasting money past 3 purchases. unless you really eat some of that stuff (shudder) :P

  39. Rob Says:

Marketing 101. I don’t think Zynga approached 7-Eleven or Green Giant/Target. I would think it was the other way around. These brick and mortar retailers rely on one thing, foot traffic. Yes, Zynga is benefitting from the promotion, but through money paid directly to them by 7-Eleven or Green Giant. Also, are you so sure that they are not in negotiations with companies from other countries? Just because the first two happen to be large, American retailers, you know for a fact that not a single negotiation is in place with global retailers, or retailers based in other countries? Maybe there are things in the works. Again, it’s up to these companies to approach Zynga, not the other way around. To enter into a deal with McDonald’s would take time, and again, McDonald’s would have to be interested, as they would be paying huge sums of money to license the Zynga name and images for its’ promotions. I’m not sure if a fast food tie-in to Farmville would necessarily work. At least at a C Store like 7-11 there is a much bigger variety of products with which to brand. And obviously vegetables make perfect sense to cross-promote with a farming game. The logical thing would be for C Store chains in other countries to approach Zynga with this. Another logical one would be Wal-Mart, but I’m not sure that Wal-Mart really needs to drum extra traffic into their stores, as they are already one of the most profitable retailers on the face of the earth. Sorry to be so wordy in this post, but I just wanted to respond to some of the people who are simply complaining without offering any potential solutions or ideas on how to make it better.

  40. em Says:

I don’t live in the U.S so i can’t take advantage of this promotion but i hope that people aren’t getting sucked in to buying produce sourced outside the U.S. just for a promotion,,, it’ll be a shame to the growers in florida

  41. Beth Says:

No Target that sells fresh produce within 100 miles of me….That sucks

  42. Lillianne Says:

STOP WHINING!!! You guys are acting like babies!! Suck it up!!!! It’s not Zynga’s fault there are no target/711/ where ever you live!!!!

  43. Sandy Says:

I work at a target and we don’t carry the product. After work I stopped by super target on my way home. They did have the product but no stickers and no codes!!! I am so bummed that I did not find them!!! I still have yet to find any 7-11 stuff after going to like 6 of them!!! :( if anyone has extra codes… Puhhhhh-leeeeeeze share :D

  44. Monkey Poodle Says:

guys the worlds not going to end if you dont get your free farmville cash :)

  45. SeaBreeze Says:

New dog breed, Heeler! FV Cash though…

  46. phyllo Says:

i was going to target anyways since this is a newer one with groceries
they had lots of green giant stuff but the only ones with stickers were green onions. oh well. asked a worker there if that’s all they had and he said if that’s all i saw, that was it. they put out only what they get shipped to them & they don’t know if anything is going to get stickers or not. i went to redeem my 3 stickers and only got 5 fv cash. sent them an email so we’ll see what happens…at least i didn’t spend a lot to get them

  47. Sarah Says:

Omg I know. A US-based company using another US-based company to distribute their stuff… Sooooo terrible. Unheard of. They’re totally hating on all the international users, taking away things that they are entitled to. FV really wants all of the international people to quit playing, it has nothing to do with promoting themselves in their home country. Nothing at all. And we all know every single city in the US has 3 Targets, duh. I can’t believe this I think I’m never going to buy veggies again. Take that FV. And what’s worse is I bet they’ll never ever team up with another company that is international. That’s how much they hate everyone.

    =]

    Baww pixels

  48. Julie S. Says:

@Proud American That’s EXACTLY my plan! I have already shared one of my Green Giant promo codes with one of my great Farmville neighbors who was nice enough to send me a 7-11 promo code (we no longer have 7-11 here in Minnesota… they were bought out by Super America).

I plan to hit Target again this weekend when they hopefully have more variety of the promo products on the shelves like tomatoes, carrots, sweet corn, etc. We’ll cook the veggies on the grill along with some steaks and burgers this weekend… and I’ll share the extra codes with my neighbors. :-)

  49. Fable Says:

Actually these are great~ buy some veggies, make some salad… it’s healthy and you get free FVcash!

BTW, i’m outside of USA, so i wont be gettin’ this offer but that is fine. And i have neighbours who are living in America and they don’t have any of these products or any 7-11 near them. Ya, sure they can travel to the nearest town to get them but is it worth it? They have cheaper and fresher veggies in their local market.

So to those outside of USA, just chill. At least there are different ways of getting free cash that wasn’t limited to America only. I’m sure there are more to come ;)

  50. mickeystar Says:

I wish United Kingdom had offers like this i would defo buy to get things for my farm.

  51. Archangel Says:

hey, but when they occur in romania this stuff?

  52. Michael T. Gauvin Says:

As a Veteran of the United States Army, I will not shop at Target. Look it up and see how patriotic they are!

  53. MizuKagami Says:

My resolution: I will not spend any real money on farmville until they extend their promotions to Europe.

  54. redheaded1 Says:

Again, I have to suggest something reasonable that might accomplish something more than anger and whining: those of you without Target or 7/11 seek out your FV neighbors and FB friends that may have one of those stores nearby, and see if they will share a code.

  55. YM Says:

Starbuxx and Jamba Juice should join FV code offers~~~

  56. pafarmgirl Says:

wow, this was easy. stir-fry for dinner tonight! :)

  57. BIll Says:

Well I got some toms, lettuce, and cauliflower and got my codes, but it only allows 3. I was able to get my 7-11 Coffee cart today too, I Was happy about that, still waiting for them to get the Slurpee cups in and the rest of the stuff. Had no problems with either

  58. Daniel Says:

Just as a heads up, after entering your first code, it asks if you have other codes to redeem. Entering codes on this screen does not seem to work.

You must return to http://www.thegiant.com and enter them the main page for the cash to appear in your gift box.

  59. Andrea Says:

Rob you explained that perfectly. We don’t have a super Target here in Salem, Oregon and the 7-11 stuff has not made it…. yet? while I would love the free fv cash if I don’t get it ohwell… though i am going to somehow figure out how to get the 7-11 crop :) I never understand why people get so mad about a game that is FREE unless you decide to actually purchase stuff and yet they still have promotions that allow people to get farmville cash without purchasing anything, or even anything out of the ordinary. In the past 3 months I can think of about 40 free fv cash that I have been able to get. It’s a game guys, and if you are getting so freaked out about it maybe you need to back off of playing a bit. (just a suggestion)

  60. Andrea Says:

i have to add something else to Michael T read snopes that Target being unpatriotic was just a bad rumor. http://www.snopes.com then put in Target I am not saying you dont have a right to shop where you want to but it isnt fair to be hating on Target because someone started a rumor about them. Here I even took the time to get the exact link to it. http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/target.asp . Target DOES allow reservists to keep their insurance, they DO contribute to Veteran causes, they DO contribute to Marine Corp toys for tots. They are NOT french owned. Now the only true rumor is they don’t allow Salvation Army Bellringers to solicit contributions in front of their stores, but you can save your change after a long shopping day and take it to the salvation army bell ringer at every other store :)

  61. Daniel Says:

No need to worry, guys who live in UK canada etc, you only get 5fc, and you could probible get 25fc for how much it would cost!

  62. Leslie S. Says:

This is not only at Target stores. My little tiny mom and pop fruit and vegetable place here in Fl has the lettuce.

  63. Wendy I Says:

Went to my Target today and purchased 3 bags of the pre cut broccoli, which is something I always use and yes they had they Farmville stickers on them :) so I was excited. I am glad though that I noticed you can ONLY use 3 codes per account because I was about ready to buy plenty more items that had the codes. Not happy about the limit but hey $15 free farm dollars is great since I didn’t have to buy anything other than things I needed anyway. Now off to 7-11 to see what I can find to :)

  64. angela Says:

the stuff 7 -11 is carrying does anyone know how many of those codes you can redeem per facebook account? is it the same as the veggies?

  65. YonnaS Says:

I sooooo agree this! It’s truly a shame that all promotions are always made to US markets. It’s the same with everything, not just FV. :(

  66. Mo Says:

They bring these promotions out without considering players that dont have 7/11 stores or Green Giant products, I live at the other end of the world so not easy to get these codes to play these games, No one has offered me codes to play…:( a plane ticket to the USA 2000.00 hotel 500.00….product 4.99 hmmmm not an option for me
    :( :(

  67. Yesenia Says:

soo i went into the website and when i logged in the website went black after all my efforts it goes to the same thing.. someone have any helpful hints!

  68. Rose Says:

Are those products abaliable only at target store or at any gracery store??

  69. Kay Says:

OK so I thought the newest green giant promo was in addition to the last one, not just a continuation of it. Soooooo I go shopping for some veggies thinking I am going to get FV cash…nope, I got the message “You have exceeded your redemption limit of 3. Thank you for loving us so much!”

    :-( ((( this sux
