So cool! A lot of FV cash.
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 5:36 pm
OMG. BEST FARM EVER!!!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 6:00 pm
Good in some areas… sorta cluttered in others. I think this farm has great potential, though it needs to be cleaned up a little.
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 6:22 pm
i just got to level 70 woot !!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 6:22 pm
Very cool.
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 6:24 pm
I get that it’s a “city farm” but there’s nowhere to grow crops…kinda takes the farm out of FarmVille.
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 6:27 pm
coolest farm ive seen.. no room for crops tho
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 6:40 pm
@Christopher and McFarmie, totally ah-gree!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 6:41 pm
I would never fertilize this loading nightmare…lol.
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 7:18 pm
Nice!!!!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 7:59 pm
This is great suppose with the number of pink cottages etc I have had and sold could do this….However this to me is NOT a farm…..
Dictionary definition of a farm is
a tract of land, usually with a house, barn, silo, etc., on which crops and often livestock are raised for livelihood.
Where are the crops and there is hardly any livestock?????????
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 8:57 pm
uh… everyone who says this isn’t a farm. that’s why its titled: “Jackie’s Farmtropolis”. Not “Jackie’s super efficient farm”.
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 9:06 pm
N.A.F. – not a farm!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
haha Di I totally agree!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 9:08 pm
also, i love those cottages with the porch! i want one!
Posted on March 7th, 2010 at 11:02 pm
Cool! I like it !:)
But sorry,it’s not a farm.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 12:00 am
Im not trying to be mean but my farm looks so much better than this. This is a cluttered mess! I hate when people make towns out of their farms. Go play mytown if u want a town right?
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 1:38 am
what’s the point ? this game is called FARMville – it’s not supposed to be a city but a farm …… you are missing the entire idea of the game.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 4:54 am
though it’s not a farm.. it’s still cool and creative.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 5:01 am
noobs
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 5:07 am
What a cluttered mess! I got a headache just looking at that for a minute!
How about showing some cool farms where the player does not spend $800 in farm cash, and they actually “earn” what’s on their farm!
(Remember the old days when all of us were saving up our farm coins for a villa? And we didn’t have to use a credit card for cool houses?)
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 6:20 am
i totally agree beth! i earned everything on my farm. i hate all the losers who add EVERYBODY and do nothing but farm all day. i saved up all the farm cash i have. not spending it on something stupid. unless the dog is fv cash. i was thinking about getting my mom a gift card for farm cash, depending on the price.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 7:32 am
Interesting “farm” to look at but it reminds me of past contests. No disrespect to anyone’s creativity but they should create some minimum requirements for these contests, namely a minimum number of plots to harvest crops, a limit on the number of hay bales you can use, and so forth. How can it be farm of the week if you can’t farm on it?
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 7:48 am
I think it’s really creative and took some time to construct. Although it isn’t the cliche farm, it’s titled Farmtropolis, and I think it’s a nice idea. Not my cup of tea and most definitely not what my farm resembles, but if it wasn’t for the diversity of everyone’s farms, the game would get boring. I think they did a lovely job and I’m impressed.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 8:34 am
Great Farmtopolis!!! Who cares if it’s not a “farm” by the dictionary definition someone posted? Who cares if she uses real $$? People, lighten up, this is all just for fun! It’s BOOORRRINNG if we all do it the same, right?!
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 9:43 am
thanks for all the feedback both ways. this ‘farm’ was more of a creative outlet and a chance to use all the buildings i collected. most of the cottages came from golden eggs, i wouldnt buy that many lmao. my farm changes constantly, and yes this particular time it has no crops which sux. today the city gets burned down and on to the next whatever…i had been fixated on owning buildings and had almost all of them (except vacation home, due to private side deal) and villa. i needed to do something other than store them, so the farmtropolis was born. i agree that farms involve crops as well, and i miss them terribly. no money making, no xp…i couldnt afford to leave it like this for long!
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 10:19 am
Hate it. I don’t care whether it’s a farm or not, it’s way too cluttered. Ugly. Beth: I agree. My farm is also better, and I refuse to spend a single cent on it.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 11:54 am
I’m sure it’s better close up, but from a distance, it’s way too cluttered.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 11:58 am
To those of you harping on people for buying FV cash, I want to hear more about your feelings.
My mom and I have this ongoing disagreement. I spend a little bit on FV (so far $15 in over three months I’ve been playing), she is outraged. I don’t understand it. My farm gives me hours of fun and sharing with friends, and so far, I’ve spent the equivalent of a couple of beers.
What do you think?
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 12:01 pm
Hey, look at this picture closely. There is a little person by the bed and breakfast….WHO IS IT AND WHERE DID IT COME FROM?!?!?!?!? Makes me think this isn’t real.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 12:50 pm
Laura I don’t think thats bad at all. If its something you enjoy then go for it. 15 dollars isn’t that much. Some neighbors of mine spend hundreds of dollars on farm cash because they have everything farm cash on their farms. I don’t think its a problem in your case though.

Britney- that is a Mrs. Claus gnome. She appears to be overstaying her Christmas welcome
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 1:37 pm
I just think that it’s a virtual game, and it’s supposed to be free; the farmville people should be ashamed for trying to rip us off with items that can only be bought with real cash. I have issues with spending real money for a fake building, and I have a lot more respect for people who don’t.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 2:24 pm
Emily: Why do you think it would be correct for everything to be free on farmville? Do you feel like having some items be cash only hinders your ability to play the game? Do you feel like when others buy cash-only items it lessens your experience of the game?
Also, when you say you “respect” people who don’t spend on farmville, it sounds like maybe for you it is a sacrifice to not spend on the cute cash-only decorations. Like you think those of us who do spend have less self-restraint. Am I right?
I think this is an interesting discussion. People choose to follow a conviction (i.e. I will not spend real money on a fake building) and then deem others who do not share this value with them as less deserving of “respect”. I thought only major issues (to have or not to have kids, to be a vegetarian) could spark this kind of response.

nice farm<<X_X
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 5:08 pm
@Katie: i totally agree! so wat if its not a farm, get over it.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 5:08 pm
Is it a farm ? is it a town ? does it matter ? its a labor of love.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 5:40 pm
I feel there is absolutely nothing wrong with spending farm cash on certain item.. i’ve been hesitant waiting for something to really catch my eye, or finish the game and use it to just decorate like some people do after they get to 70.
And for Zynga to charge money to play this game, well, DUH they need money and a profit somehow to pay for equipment and workers and other stuff.
In conclusion its a freakin game! if you don’t like it shut it and go play another game. if you do like it then just play for free and don’t complain about farm cash.. you get what you pay for!

well the comments have been interesting, to say the least. myself i too have opinions, like i dont personally care for the paint-by-brick decorating. anyone can do that. but that doesnt diminish the artistry or the creativity that went into it. nor does it diminish the pleasure a person got out of creating it. i love my farm, and had an absolute blast creating the city. it is a temporary state, as all of them are. i dont care for the building with fences and pretend approach as much either, but i dont need to to appreciate that someones design using it was neat as heck! and it does make good fake waterfalls. yes some of the items were purchased. i am also level 52. i have earned my way up through a lot of this and it wasnt from not having crops. the game is free and totally playable for free. and some of us allow ourselves a budget for a very enjoyable passtime. i dont drink, i dont spend at bars to play darts or pool, i dont gamble, i never paid for an everquest server subscription to play, or anything of that sort, and i definitely didnt buy silly dungeonmaster books to play imaginary characters in an imaginary world defeating invisible enemies with a roll of a dice in rooms you drew on a piece of paper. this was my idea for MY farm. it wasnt meant to be a plan for everyone to follow. in the end it is a bare 24×24 green square. what i do from there is mine. all this does is make me sorry i bothered to share it. i hate it. its ugly. wow, nice people here… go build your own farm and dont be so trifling as to use ‘respect’ or lack of in a game that changes nothing of the cost of your crops on YOUR farm. in the end you have just as much right to an opinion as i do, but i love my farm, and would never think of attacking a person for designing what they obviously took time to create. i submitted it on a whim, never expected it to be posted. ahhh the joys of public scrutiny. unlike some here, i am reading all the comments, including the not so nice ones, and enjoying that at least people have a strong enough opinion to be free thinking and individualistic.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 6:44 pm
Absolutely spend the money or do offers – I have. When gifting came about – I sent my friends/family different items. It’s fun to give things to neighbors!!!! 1 of my neighbors just bought me a Serene Pool (something I would not have bought for myself) and I LOVE IT.
As for the design – I think Jackie did some interesting things.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 7:37 pm
Holy personal attack, Laura. You asked my opinion, I gave it. All I’m saying is maybe it takes more creativity to work with the things that can’t be bought with cash.
And I apologize to everyone for using the word ‘respect.’ Apparently there is something wrong with my word choice…
I honestly don’t care that much; I just thought you all wanted to know what ‘the other side’ felt. Sorry.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 7:49 pm
And to Jackie: sorry if you’re feeling badly about your farm. For myself, I am a designer and we are taught to not be offended by criticism of our designs. I guess I just get stuck in that mindset. While your farm is not really my style (I like more space) there are some parts that I really like, and I appreciate the amount of time that it took to create. Keep farming!
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 8:20 pm
Emily: I didn’t mean it as a personal attack. I don’t know anything about you! I just think it is interesting. You are not the only one with that opinion and those feelings. In fact, many people feel the same way you do, strongly opposing the using real money to pay for “fake buildings”.
What I find interesting is that something so trivial as spending or not money on entertainment elicits responses similar to larger issues (like reproductive rights or recycling laws), where the actions of others do affect you. Makes me think that these type of disagreements are always more about the principles than the consequences, despite what people try to make them.
And I will stop derailing this thread with non-farmville musings… now!
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 8:33 pm
Oh, you’re right: it’s totally about principle. I just have to draw the line at spending money, for myself. And I don’t think it necessarily gets as strong an opinion as other, larger issues. It just does here, on farmvillefreak.com.
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 9:32 pm
Hug it out, bitch!
Posted on March 8th, 2010 at 10:30 pm
Jackie! I LOVE your farm! Its beautiful. I wish I could be your farmville neighbor!

Nice farm Vanesa!
Posted on March 9th, 2010 at 6:39 pm
ok re: questions and comments.
the ‘llama’ was actually an alpaca won in one of the winter mystery boxes.
i do appreciate feedback. no villa yet as i had spent myself to literally broke when the store, post office, school etc came out. the villa is coming with liquidation. the vast enormity of cottages was actually all gained in a broken golden egg, and were the first things sold off in the remodel. as far as city comments, lol, again, this was a temporary artistic outlet that allowed me to use all my buildings before retiring many of them. this was not nor will it be a permanent state of farm. i completely change it end to end on the average of every 2-3 weeks. everything. the crops have already returned, and farm it is again…whats next? no clue. i have done terracing, murals that cant be seen until the crops all ripen together…as well as standard the barn goes here, livestock right there, house over here type farms. no i dont choose to play cityville or metrobuild anything, i dont like the city. now if any ANY of the naysayers took the time to find the location of the farm and maybe walked the streets instead of throwing rocks from their perfect glass palaces, maybe they would see i actually dont like cities, there was a self guided tour that showed mockeries and wry humor poking fun at cities all over the land. it took me about a week to build, i wasnt even done when i took the screen shot, but was already bored and ready to return to a farm. obviously the cramped, no greenspace, close tight blocks with neighbors SO close to you you could pass butter between the houses was missed. forgive the thinking outside of the box. maybe i should have visited a few of these self professed ‘correct farms’ before daring to submit. or maybe i was pleased enough with the creation to submit it. obviously someone here liked it. or maybe we should just all peace-out, appreciate diversity, and save the critique for our own farm and our own designs.
Posted on March 9th, 2010 at 6:55 pm
alpaca was from the Royal Blue and Pink Ribboned Mystery Box released 12/28/09.
Posted on March 9th, 2010 at 9:55 pm
Im shocked that some people would say such rude things about a cool creation. Its creative and very fun and interesting to look at.
To all the people who say farmville should not charge real money: Look at the people who buy an Xbox or PS3 for hundreds of dollars, then spend forty to fifty dollars on EACH game, and sometimes even a monthly fee to play the game. What if you had to pay fifty dollars to access fville in the first place? What if there was a monthly fee?
I think its fine to spend money to get special items every once in a while. Just be thankful you didn’t have to buy farmville in a box for fifty dollars and download it onto your computer.
Posted on March 10th, 2010 at 3:09 am
Can anyone PLEASE tell me how i can take a picture of my entire farm to enter the contest… when i try to do it, it only allows me to take a pic of part of my farm. I have a 24×24.. Thanks so much.. BTW nice farm..or city ..
