FarmVille Freak Loui’s “FarmVille City”

FarmVille Freaks have been sending in some great farms recently and we would like to share them with you more frequently. Check out Loui’s farm below, his own version of a FarmVille city with a few working crops.
Speaking of working crops, we need some of you FarmVille Freaks with exceptional “working farms” and lots of crops to send in your farms so that we can feature them on FarmVille Freak. Send your pics to farmgoddess@farmvillefreak.com

Here’s what Loui has to say about his farm:
“I’ve seen the Farmtropolis you have posted. It’s cool. But I don’t agree that it’s the first city in Farmville because mine has already been a city since December, in fact I called it a Christmas Village then. I have predicted that time that Farmville will be slowly evolving and that it will not just be a simple farm anymore. Anyhow, personally, I started my farm with a few plots only but I’ve become more of a freak for decorations, notably the buildings and a sucker for mystery boxes. I wait for the new mystery boxes every week and I buy them. Attached is the most recent photo of my Farmville City, which my daughter calls a vacation resort. I’ve just rearranged it to accomodate the French Chateau items and also to make room for a Chateau, if ever there will be. You will see there a lot of items from the mystery boxes and FV cash items. I have several fans who just love to visit my farm to marvel at the “unique” things. I admire their patience because a lot of my friends have complained that it takes such a long time to load my farm but they still visit it each day to fertilize my few greens. What can I do? I love animation…a real Farmville freak!”

Great job! A lot of time! My goal is by Level 70, I plan on making my farm into a city with a few gardens in the back yards! Then I will be tired of farm life and want my city life back! Lol! I am level 59 right now. Keep up the great work!

Ville (French pronunciation: [vil]) is the modern French word of Latin origin now meaning city or town, but the first meaning in the middle-ages was farm (from Latin villa rustica) and then village. The derivative suffix “-ville” is commonly used in English in names of cities, towns and villages.

oh my. how many cash did you invest in this? why don’t you take you’re daughter on a real vacation instead of investing so much money in a virtual place? i prefer the farms if the week that are creative instead of the ones that just fill up all the place with farmcash items…

good job on the farm… although the other one looks more like a city. Yours is more of a “collection” of items.
I still like the traditional farms the most- without the piled hay bales and with lots of crop room

I like a good balance between farm land and a village, anything beyond, go play sim city… cant stand farms where all the trees are lined up on the edge according to type, ugh, make it pretty!

This “farm” is nice, but I agree with the previous comments, the concept is farming and harvesting and earning goodies but not to lavishly overwhelm you farm or your neighbors internet connection with the many “special” things. I have to admit though, I like the villas closed together, it makes it look more like a fort, or a high class correctional facility. LOL. Kudos for all the FV cash earned in order to purchase these unique things. = )

I have a working farm with over 400 plots, I would love to submit a picture! But how do you take a screen shot of your whole farm? when I use the camera option on FV it is just a portion.

With a MAC computer do this:
Open up farmville and expand it to fullscreen. Then:
capture the entire desktop, press Command-Shift-3. The screen shot will be automatically saved as a PNG file on your desktop. then you can paste it in paint or whatever program you use.
For Windows do this:
Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It may be labeled [PrtScn].
*Open an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint.
*Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.
*If prompted to enlarge the image, choose Yes.
Hope this helps. Then if you want to post it on FVF then you need to go to imageshack website (it’s free) and just upload the picture there and get your jpg link.

Okay mr “a real farmvile freak!” uhhhh no! and I really don’t think you were first cuz this sucks! the other one “farmtropolis” looked nice and looked like a nice city. yours looks like a cludder of nothing haha!
And haters saying you should have farm cuz this is farmville.. get over it! let them do what THEY want to THEIR farm.. its THEIRRSSS! get a life.

What’s with all the hate on this site? I think this is a lovely farm and it definitely took a lot of time and creativity. Who cares if it doesn’t look like the cliche farm? No one said that everyones farm had to look the same. Wouldn’t you get bored if every farm you visited looked identical to the last? My farm is based on my crops with a little town in the corner to spice things up. That’s what I want to do with my farm. This is what Loui wanted to do with his. It’s a GAME stop acting like it’s an Oscar nomination or something. Personally, I think the disrespectful comments that people are leaving on other’s farms should be at least presented in a nicer way. Yeah, not everyone is going to think it’s an attractive farm, and yes being a constructive critic is helpful, but I don’t think that the people bashing everyone else’s farms would appreciate people putting them down in the way they are putting others down.
I think you worked hard and it shows. Good job, Loui!

I don’t understand the attraction to the villas. Probably just a status symbol.
People ask how you take a screenshot of more than the in-game photos allow. Its simple, you do just that – take a screenshot.
Command-Shift-3 will take a full screenshot, like already mentioned.
Command-Shift-4 will allow you to click and drag the box to make your own photo dimensions.
Nice city, though.
