FarmVille Freak Techie: FaceBook is Currently Having Technical Issues!
Update: FaceBook is back up, but some farmers are still experiencing access issues. Try accessing your farm through FarmVille.com if you cannot get in through FaceBook.
UNWITHER is turned on so your crops will not wither. You will also not have to worry about feeding your Puppies, during this time feeding will be disabled and your Puppies wil not starve!

It appears that several FarmVille Freaks cannot get on FaceBook.com to check on their farms! This time it doesn’t seem to be Zynga’s fault.
Reports are coming in that state FaceBook’s landing page is not coming up.
Instead, FarmVille Freaks are seeing error pages like this:

FarmVille's Friend FaceBook is Down

Just wondering, Seems FaceBook went down not too long after Twitter caught a hacking virus(from my local news station…or is it that Facebook is having issues as they upgrade their site as i’m noticing my gifting has changed …. hmmmmmm

Posted on September 23rd, 2010 at 3:25 pm
I was able to log in on my phone but that doesn’t do much since I don’t have a phone to support the farm app.

I can’t connect to either one either. Hopefully, Zynga will put the unwither thing on the crops. I’m also going for the Pinto Bean Mastery. This is going to affect that.

The whole thing crashes as they push new features that no one wants. Yet another reason for Farmville to get away from Farcebook.

Farmers don’t worry!
Farmers, if you’re experiencing trouble loading FarmVille on Facebook, please try http://www.farmville.com while these issues are sorted out. Wither will be off until all is well and your puppies will not get hungry and run away in the meantime, either. Happy farming! yay

Thanks for publishing a notice today! Very helpful. FB has been down for me now about 2 hours. Started around 3pm est. A little worried about harvesting for a co-op now. Hmmm…..since last check my neighbors weren’t showing up via FarmVille direct. I was able, finally, to at least check on my farm by accessing it via Zynga and clicking on FarmVille there.

sincerely to Zynga you really should have a personnal platform so we can play
so it would be up to us to choose where we play ,farmville.com is good but doesn’t work without facebook !?

How are people getting on farmville without being able to log into facebook?? It won’t let me get into my farm unless I log in through facebook, so as long as facebook is down, I can’t get to my farm.

corection on last post :
(CNN) — Facebook was down for many users for several hours Thursday, the second day in a row access to the site was hampered.
“Today we experienced technical difficulties causing the site to be unavailable for a number of users,” a spokeswoman said in an email. “The issue has been resolved and everyone should now have access to Facebook. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
The problem started early Thursday afternoon and was resolved by about 5:30 p.m. ET.
The spokeswoman said the issue was not related to the one from Wednesday, when problems with a third-party network provider shut the site down, or slowed it badly, for several hours. She didn’t elaborate on the nature of Thursday’s outage.
With more than 500 million users, Facebook is the world’s largest social-networking site.
On Facebook’s blog for developers, a post said the site was “experiencing latency issues,” or a time delay, with its platform. But some tech observers speculated that the delay on the developers’ platform was unlikely to have been the entire cause of the problem.
As usual, Facebook’s outage led thousands of social networkers to Twitter to, well … talk about Facebook.
“Somebody needs to fix Facebook ASAP,” wrote Gizmodo blogger Rosa Golijan on her Twitter feed. “I don’t like having to tweet to show that I ‘like’ all the stories about it being down.”
Several sarcastic Twitter users bemoaned the fate of the undernourished virtual plants and animals of FarmVille, while others (presumably with a degree of self-awareness) remarked on the ramifications of the outage.
