FarmVille Gas Pump Slowly Rolling Out

This evening, FarmVille released a new constructible Gas Pump building with purpose! You can build a Gas Pump on your FarmVille farm and then harvest it for Fuel once per day or every 48 hours (there is conflicting information from Zynga over at the Official FarmVille Forums) but we suspect it is once per day. Who doesn’t love more free Fuel?
There’s more good news, besides the free Fuel this little Gas Pump will produce, it’s actually physically small and doesn’t take up a lot of that precious green space on your farm.
When the Update is made available to you on your farm, you will receive a pop-up like the one shown below inviting you to place the Gas Pump on your farm. If you haven’t received it yet or can’t find the Gas Pump try searching for it in your FarmVille Gift Box or keyword search in the FarmVille Market (found under the Buildings section).
Constructing Your Gas Pump
Once you’ve placed the Gas Pump on your FarmVille farm, you are ready to start constructing and upgrading it. There are several ways to obtain building materials for your Gas Pump.
- 1. Use the “Ask For More” button.
- 2. Send and receive as free gift via the FarmVille Gifting Page.
- 3. Find extra parts on your Facebook News Feed.
- 4. Purchase parts directly using Farm Cash.
Gas Pump Required Building Materials:
- Fuel Pipes
- Level Gauges
- Steel Sheets
Gas Pump Stages
There are a total of four stages to your Gas Pump. After completing each stage, your Gas Pump will change physical appearance becoming larger and more grand. Simply collect the parts and add them to your Gas Pump.
- Stage 1: 12 Fuel Pipe, 12 Level Gauges, 12 Steel Sheets
- Stage 2: 16 Fuel Pipe, 16 Level Gauges, and 16 Steel Sheets
- Stage 3: 20 Fuel Pipe, 20 Level Gauges, and 20 Steel Sheets
- Stage 4: Completed
As you already know, you can harvest your Gas Pump for free Fuel. Just how much depends on the size of your Gas Pump. The bigger your Gas Pump, the more free Fuel.
- Stage 1: 0 Fuel Cans
- Stage 2: 1 Fuel Can
- Stage 3: 2 Fuel Cans
- Stage 4: 5 Fuel Cans

Thank you! Searched everywhere to find a Guide and yours finally pops up on the Ticker!! Yea! A friend was asking for parts but I had no idea which items in the Gifts are for the Fuel pump. Why can’t fv just make it clear in the Gifts which items build what-at least for items like this. Again, ty for the info.

I’m already swimming in fuel. I wish I could use all the fuel I have in my real car. I don’t think I’ll be building this fuel pump.
In the unlikely occasion that I need fuel I’ll buy my friends crafts and trade them in for fuel thus helping them with their masteries.

Since adding Hawaii, my average fuel has dropped from 530 to 450 units, meaning I have to buy goods two times a week, to get back up to 200 in order to produce extra fuel. This feature will be well appreciated by me!!

this will be a great help, yes, i get fuel in the markets and i buy neighbors products and make products for fuel.. this way i willl not have to be so daily with this all … yeah , i buy all of my neighbor’s products … i think i am the only one that does… i like keeping my fuel supply in the 500s. yes, this will come in handy

Sorry, this is the stupidest, dumbest thing Zynga has released in the almost 3 years I have been playing FV. I have more fuel than some Sheikhs, 36,930 units to be exact. I can’t get rid of my fuel no matter what I do and it keeps growing. Now I will have more fuel. Oh well. I will build it just to say I did. I am sure some players need fuel. I do not.

It’s about time I give us some for fuel. I can’t keep up and I play all the farms and still have to buy fuel for a very high price and hardly get anything from it. I’m putting them on all my farms in hopes I can get ahead enough to play farmville! Thanks again!

The gas pump description says that “you’re going to need it soon” (fuel, that is), and I can’t help wondering what it might mean. A new farm? Or Zynga reducing chances to find fuel elsewhere? I hope they don’t decide to limit how much fuel you can get from the goods you buy from your neighbors because that would be BAD. =P

I love this new feature. This has to be the best building with purpose! I would definitely be building this…
As there are 5 farms, more and more fuel is required. The free fuel has become a major requirement to save time in harvesting bigger farms as combines consume so much of fuel.
I really appreciate that Zynga has recently enabled sending/receiving all types of gifts to the FV neighbours now, not just special deliveries as it used to be. This is why I have been able to complete the recently launched Beach resort and Fishing hole in just one week. This way we all can help each other with the building parts.

Another waste of time and energy! I usually have way more fuel than I can use – unless I stop acquiring for long period and just use it up. I have probably several lifetime supplies offered ‘for sale’ – ah, with maybe 1 or 2 buyers. And I HAVE to keep making more (frustrating!) because that’s part of quest requirements. i wouldn’t mind if neighbors actually bought the stuff
And, now FV keeps coming up w/more ways so players don’t need to support/help their neighbors. It’s not enough that we post ‘free’ fuel (FV should limit ability to collect items to farmers who actually contributed. Oh you BOUGHT fuel from this farmer? For each purchase you can collect one of their freebies.) And…sign up for email notices and get free fuel. Now build a gas pump and you generate your own. How about scrapping all that stuff and create a situation where players HAVe to help each other (since there are so many who won’t do it voluntarily…) And yes, I BUY fuel from my neighbors. ALWAYS. Last – and of course one of the basics ‘can’ of fuel – is good for farming how many plots??

How many plots are in 1 can of fuel? I didn’t think 5 cans was enough to do much with. Is it worth it to gather all of those parts?

One can contains fuel for 150 plots so 5 will give 750.
