FarmVille Freak Gopher Garden Guide

The Gopher Garden is a new building with purpose that will allow you to lure Gophers onto your FarmVille Farm. Captured Gophers go to your Gopher Garden where you can then win cool free rewards including those special Gopher crops!
Gopher Garden Recap:
1) Place your Gopher Garden on your FarmVille farm.
- Captured Gophers go to your Gopher Garden
- You will be able to track your Gopher progress when “Looking Inside” your Gopher Garden.
2) Ask for Gopher Treats that you will use to lure Gophers.
- Ask your friends to send you Gopher Treats using the “Ask” button
- Send and receive Gopher Treats via the FarmVille Gifting Page
- Use your Gopher Treats to lure Gophers into your Gopher Garden.
3) Capture Gophers.
- Gophers can appear on your Farm’s plots while you are working your farm.
- If you see one, click on it! Try to click on it to capture it before it gets away.
- Capture Gophers with Gopher Treats to win rewards and unlock items such as special Gopher requirement crops!
4) Upgrade your Gopher Garden.
- Capture more Gophers to upgrade your Gopher Garden.
- Upgraded Gopher Gardens unlock new Gophers.
- When you upgrade your Gopher Garden you will not only have access to new Gophers that have better rewards, you’ll have more storage space for Treats.
You can upgrade or Level Up your Gopher Garden as well as view your progress by “Looking Inside” your farm’s Gopher Garden.
Most Wanted Gophers & Gopher Garden Level
The Gophers that you are able to catch depends on the Level of your Gopher Garden! Everyone starts out at a Level 1 Gopher Garden where you will have access to three different Gophers to capture. Each Level 1 Gopher requires 1 Gopher Treat to lure them. Level 2 Gophers require 2 Gopher Treats to lure them and so on. Before you can access new Gophers you’ll have to level up your Gopher Garden by capturing Gophers. Look out for Gophers that will pop up in your farm’s plots. When you catch certain Gophers you will be given specific rewards. Refer to the list of Gophers below (Love their names!) to find out what rewards you’ll receive when you capture them!
Level 1 Gophers & Rewards
( Requires 1 Gopher Treat to lure)
Big Daddy Carter – 100 XP, 250 Farm Coins, and Dragon Flower crop
Lil Dolly Hill – 100 XP, 250 Farm Coins, and Spiral Flower crop
Studley Duke – 100 XP, 250 Farm Coins, and Fertilize All
Level 2 Gophers & Rewards
(Requires 2 Gopher Treats to lure)
Donny Dangerous – 100 XP, 250 Farm Coins, and Pitcher Plant crop
Maria Sicillianno – 250 XP, 500 Farm Coins, and 1 Fuel Refill
Level 3 Gophers & Rewards
Rick Overdrive – 250 XP, 500 Farm Coins, and Walking Iris
Natalia Grey – 500, 750 Farm Coins, and 5 Fuel Refills
Level 4 Gophers & Rewards
Wyatt Dirt – 500 XP, 750 Farm Coins, and Sundew Plant crop
Dirty Jack Julep – 1,000 XP, 1,000 Farm Coins, and 3 packs of Turbo Chargers
Level 5 Gophers & Rewards
G.H. Moneybags – 1,500 XP, 5,ooo Farm Coins, and Instagrow Potion
Leveling Up your Gopher Garden
So exactly how do you level up your Gopher Garden? By catching Gophers of course! Here’s the breakdown on exactly how many Gophers you will need to catch to upgrade your Gopher Garden to the each level.
- Level 1 Gopher Garden – Capture 3 Gophers to unlock next level and unlock 2 new Gophers.
- Level 2 Gopher Garden – Capture 10 Gophers to unlock next level and unlock 2 new Gophers.
- Level 3 Gopher Garden – Capture 25 Gophers to unlock next level and unlock 2 new Gophers.
- Level 4 Gopher Garden – Capture 75 Gophers to unlock next level and unlock 2 new Gophers.
- Level 5 Gopher Garden – Capture 160 Gophers to unlock next level and access 1 new gopher, “G.H. Moneybags”

I’ve been seeing this for more than 24 hrs on my loading screen, and seen a few gopher treats posted by friends, but as for myself I’ve not seen it on my farm. Wondering if it has been delayed because of the new seed issue I see the notation about at the top of the screen when I play. Any idea?

Lame is an understatement. Last HP quest started. New Jade farm due to start today. I put limits on my begging. It might be great for new farmers in need of coins and fertilizer. I don’t.

I have not recieved this yet but then I cant send out gifts or request all I get is errors and crap I cant even build the hot tub or do the birthday thing and I email them all they say is we fowarded this to the developmental team … W/E Im ready to quit

Frankly, I am a little lost. I have all the treats I can have for stage one. My gopher garden is placed. I have seen gophers pop up in it, and tried clicking them, but nothing happens. As to them popping up in my normal crops, I haven’t seen any!! I really love growing FV Flowers, on top of which dragons are my fav mythical beast, so the idea of planting the dragonflower is making me all sorts of happy for some strange reason, but I can’t seem to get it!
Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Or not doing? Is it possible that the feature just isn’t fully rolled out onto my farm yet?

I am with Rachel-G I have the gopher and all the treats I can get, but I don’t know how to click on them. Do you have to have specific crops? The higher level gophers give some nice prizes.

The same thing is happening on my farm as with Rachel-G. I’ve tried clicking on EVERYTHING on the screen but nothing happens! Does this thing even work yet?

YOU DONT CATCH THEM IN THE GARDEN…
They pop up in the garden to show you what you will get when you catch one on the farm
(plowed plots for me so far)
I guess it might be confusing….
I know it’s stupid. Why have the rewards for everything gotten so lame?
It’s not our fault the OCD programmers feel the need( yeah ya im sure Suits force them) to create 17 new quests per day… but the rewards seem so blah- i dont get the point anymore…

I harvested, plowed and put seeds in my entire farm all manually just to make sure I don’t miss out on them, but they just pop up in the garden and go. That’s all! Nothing appeared on the plots for me.

I’ve seen the gophers pop up while I’m harvesting, plowing and planting. You’ll see one of ‘em little buggers crawl up from your regular farm plots. Click on ‘em, and you’ll have caught you a gopher!
The animation of the gopher popping up in the Gopher Garden is just to look cute, like the pig rolling in the mud in the pig pen, or the brown horses looking out of the barn when you have no brown horses in the barn. It’s just to show what it’s for.

I captured one gopher who poppep up on my farm the day this was launched. Since then, I have 2 gophers in my gopher garden and nothing happened. I have full treats so, I can’t ask for more and I am waiting to capture more gophers. I haven’t seen any more since then. Well, I am glad that I am busy farming and enjoying the new ‘Jade falls’ farm rather than squinting on my plots for toothy gophers to show up

I finally “caught” a gopher while harvesting golden poppies for a quest. Got all excited until I realized that one gopher only unlocked 20 seeds. Yup, 20. So I’ll have to “capture” 6 of THAT gopher to get to 1 star mastery (115 for level 1). I don’t mine something different to get the seeds, but make it do-able.

I stopped doing the quests (along the left side of the screen) ages ago. I think farmville should be renamed buildville.
Anybody know what the purpose was for the gnome garden? Will this be just as lame?

I have 4 gopher gardens. all show have two treats and that I need one more. will not let me ask. also got one treat in gifts and will not useit!! Help

Of all the items declared useless, gopher garden is at the top of the list. Main complaint: It tells you to use gopher treats to lure them into the gopher garden but there is NO “use” button. If you have to use something in order to accomplish a goal, you MUST have the ability to “USE” the item. Since there is absolutely no way of using the treats, farmville’s gopher garden is nothing more than a useless plot that is better reserved for growing crops, or some other farmville item that can actually be used.

I had no idea how to use it. I purchased mine out of the market haven’t received a pop-up to get one for free!
The one that I bought within the market if I try and “look inside” it hangs and I am unable to open any other windows I must restart farmville. I assume from the description above that it hasn’t yet been rolled out to my farm.
Wondering when this option will be available to all.

Is there a clearer explanation on what to do when treats are full, ask for treats, unable to buy treats and the inability to use any of these features?

I am not able to ask for treats and i know several people have same… there is just not possible to ask for treat so i dont know what to do with this…i place one and i have got alot of treat when friends have shared on wall but i have no treat in my goftbox…so i really dont understand this

I have seen a gopher and my treat thing is gray but says it is full but then my treats say 2/2. I’ve been rewarded treats, but don’t know where they are. I finally saw a gopher and tried clicking on it but couldn’t make it do anything. This is a frustrating quest.

I have captured 8 gophers (4 of the first kind and 2 each of the second and third kind) but Level 2 has still not unlocked! It shows a check mark for Level 1, but I still can’t get the fourth gopher unlocked.
What am I missing here? What do I need to get to the next level???

I think I get it now…I think it takes 10 gophers to get to Level 2, 16 (or 16 more?) to get to Level 3, and 66 for Level 4.

Confirmed my theory — after I captured 10 gophers, Level 2 unlocked. Now to see if I need 16 more or a total of 16 to get to Level 3…

I have the gopher garden on my farm for 2 weeks now and have yet to see a gopher…I have full treats it says; perhaps this is misfunctioning for some players?

Is there any point to this feature? I placed a garden over a week ago to make the annoying pop-ups go away, and since then absolutely nothing has happened – no gophers and no facility to ask for or send treats.
Total waste of time.
I really wish there was a facility to disable or reject all the missions and pop-ups I’m not interested in so they didn’t keep getting in the way of everything.

I too have not received a garden at this point – and too feel left out – I am an avid player on level 189 – and one that many players count on. Is there way I could get a response for some help – Also I feel that I may not get the Rock Cod on my jade farm – I am on level 34 right now. I see the royal rock cod (which doesn’t come till level 39) hopefully that will soon come – thanks

I have caught 56 gophers and then last week they stopped popping up on my farms…I have done a report to Farmville but don’t have any answer yet. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you get the gophers to start popping up again? I have a garden planted on all of my farms, that’s what I was told I needed to do to get the gophers to start working on my farm. Any suggestions, comments???
