FarmVille Increases Chicken Feeding to 50 Neighbors
Tonight Zynga increased the amount of coops that can be fed while ‘ferting and feeding’. Twenty has been the maximum for sometime, but along with many recent egg/chicken changes came the increase of 30 more coop feeds per day. While adding three chickens to the market was exciting, the prizes at this point seem to be the opposite. But, the ability to keep a Mystery Egg for yourself when finding one in a neighbors coops has been awesome for many farmers. Now you can feed 50 coops per day. Allowing you to find (for yourself) and share even more Mystery Eggs with neighbors! Hopefully the prizes will be updated.
In other somewhat related news, visiting neighbors has changed slightly, there is no longer a loading message. Instead when visiting to a neighbor, the farm you are currently on darkens and then the new one pops up with almost no loading time. This makes fertilizing crops/ feedings coops happen quickly and more efficiently. Thank you to the Zynga Gods for speeding up this process!

I have two farms…one with 65 neighbors and one with 4. Can you guess which one never loads the neighbors. I feel like such a bad neighbor because they NEVER load thus I can not visit. If they do load, the higher level they are the longer it takes. We’re talking 20 minutes sometimes. Not worth it. And my computer is not a total piece. Go figure!

FV probably increased because most were only getting one egg out of the 20 neighbors.

If I click to go to a neighbors farm when I have my farm in fullscreen mode, it shrinks back down to regular broswer size every time. And worst of all, when I do that, I can’t click to fertilize or feed chickens…I have to make it fullscreen again to be able to click! Ahhh!

I can’t even get into my site to accept the neighbors that have been sending me neighbor requests. So i can’t even goto neighbors farms to do any fertilizing or feeding of chickens so I don’t kow if I’ll like the new coop expanse or not..

i could only feed 20 chickens and as usual only 1 mystery egg!!! What are we going to get 1 maybe 2 more mystery eggs out of 50??? the time ratio of feed/fert vs waiting on fb for someone to post is lopsided. on a good evening i can get a lot more waiting for friends to post them…and i too like the full screen version….thanks

I don’t like the new way of visiting neighbours, I always toggle full screen, because in normal screen it is soooo slow! And now, visiting neighbours is really slow

Just fertilized my neighbors this morning… I only got to feed 30 chicken coops. Has anyone else actually gotten to feed 50 coops yet?

When does this start that you can do more chicken coops I done mine this am and it stopped me at 20? so what is the deal here, I pass all this information on to my friends so they know what all the updates are…………..So when can we count on zygna to let us do the 50 neighbors? I was able to fertilize a lot more than normal, didn’t actually count though. Feeding chickens was not 50 though, more like 20 maybe 30.

I do not like what has changed, yes egg amout good, but when you go to neighbours in full screne you lose the full screne. It takes longer now. I have 153 neighbours and I manage to go to their farms, majority of the time, the least i do a day is 100..so PLEASE find a solution to restore that feature.I love playing farmville, just started late February, and now i am addicted, lol.. I spend 10 to 14 hours aday .

I wondered what the deal was when I was in full screen went to a neighbors farm the screen shrunk and turned blue, what’s up with that? Don’t know about the chicken coup thing yet I got anoyed with this new Enhancement…Zynga can you fix this? It shouldn’t toggle to the window screen when you visit your neighbors farm it should remain in full screen mode, I didn’t have any problem with the way it use to be

I love my farm and I help my daughter’s, boyfriend and mine. The full screen tool is not working properly as was before (june/09).
The toggle stops to publish the gas you have found, to ask your neighbors to fertilize yr farm, and when you’ve got an egg. Full screen is the way to go because I have a NETBOOK. So, please, find the way to remain in full screen without interruptions, pleaseee…
Increasing the number of coops to be fertilize is a good idea but should not be an obligation. If you have the time to do so…excellent, if not do what you can do for yr neighborhood.

Despite the temporary problems, this is a good thing. I’m willing to suffer some inconveniences while they work out the bugs, to be able to enjoy the benefits!

Love the fact that we now get a mystery egg in our gift box when one shows up after feeding a coop. With many FV neighbors having a bunch of their own neighbors it’s nearly impossible to get their posted gifts. Especially if they use the cheat “Gamers Unite.” I’d like to know if this can be blocked.
Just like the extra mystery egg in our gift box, I’d like to get the calves and foals too. I have a bunch of Fan cows in one of my Dairy Farms and once in a while a Fan calf emerges. I’ve seen a Fan calf posting only a couple of times and of course I’m not fast enough against hundreds of others. So frustrating sometimes.

Jane re: snag bar — I just delete the neighbors that use Gamers Unite…I heard it also slows down your computer because it is searching the feeds so I don’t keep anyone that is using that site…sorry gamers unite but that’s the breaks!

I think it’s a good idea if it would work. I still get cut off at 20. I also agree that this should yield us more eggs than just 1 or 2. Also I think the amount of XP you earn is crap. In Cafe world, the higher your experience level, the more XP you can earn helping your neighbors. Why isn’t this the case for Farmville? You get a measly 5 XP for ridding your neighbors farm of leaves, foxes, crowes etc…., and you get 1 point for each square you fertilize, and 1 point for feeding chickens, Whoopie! a whopping 11 points. It isn’t worth the amount of time it takes to help all your neighbors. I have over 40 neighbors, so unless I’m going to get a chance to find a lot more eggs, or earn more than just a handful of XP, I don’t want to help anyone. I have better success watching the home wall waiting for people to post stuff.

I also could only do 20 coops and do not like that the screen shrinks back down..can’t wait for all the glitches to be fixed!!! the thought is good now patience is required to get the goodies

I can do without the loading screen but what happened to clearing weeds, foxes, racoons??? Is this another way Zynga slows down giving out XPs? Also – what about the pop-up to let you know if you found an egg or not ?????

I love the idea i try to go to 20-30 farms a day the only problem is i go to farms everyday and no one ever comes to mine it sucks!

I only was able to visit 20 as well. The truth is, I would like to be able to be in full screen mode all the time too, but every time I had a collectible to share, or fuel or egg or arborist or WHATEVER, it would do the same thing- minimize until i had finished publishing and then I would have to click maximize and wait for it to load full screen again. Unbearable. So this new way of loading friends farms was a welcome change since I am always in the small window anyway. If they could find a way to publish and visit farms without kicking us out of full screen mode I think I would forget my computer did anything besides farmville.

I didn’t even get to feed 20 chicken coops today though I got to quite a few more farms than that. Also, I agree with the big screen. These old eyes need that big screen working good. And I surely will be happy when I can feed more chickens cause I like to do a lot of feeding and fertilizing. I guess FV is in that “2 steps forward and one backward” mode. lol

I’d like to report since yesterday after 50 coops feeding my farm is slow and I’ve got no eggs from my neighbors after 50 fertilizing farms.
