FarmVille iPhone App Updated v2.0

FarmVille Freak Craig reported that FarmVille’s iPhone app has been updated to V2.0! Remember, that this also includes other iMobile devices such as iPad and iPod.
This much needed upgrade includes some exciting new changes such as SPEED!
Read below for all the updates to FarmVille 2.0 which includes:
- Speed upgrade with faster loading times (30-50% faster for iPhone 4 and 3GS).
- Access upgrades that includes accessibility for iPhone 3G or older devices.
- Gifting upgrades that allow you to send free Gifts to all your FarmVille farming friends as opposed to previously being restricted to only those who are also playing FarmVille iOS.
- Optimization and Bug Fixes (Tons of them!).

This app is much faster… crashing than the old version. No chance to get it to work. Check the comments in the AppStore. Unbelievable bad work from Zynga!

I like that Frank, describes it perfectly. Much faster at crashing than ever before. Woohoo, the update I have always wanted, great job Zynga its so fast apparently I play it and don’t even know it.

its still a bit glitchy. also they have taken away the option of placing your eggs on your farm before opening them. now the only egg you can see in your gift box is candy cane.

My farm does not load faster, and Zynga still has not fixed the problem with the crafting (winery) building. My winery still shows only the first level slab when it has been completed for ages and you still cannot make any goods from the crafting building. Zynga told me late last sumnmer that they “were aware of the problem and working on it”…same old story. Not worth the hassle to try to farm on the iPhone.

I downloaded the new version, but I can’t tell if it’s better or not. The first time you launch it you’ll get a pop-up asking permission for Zynga to access your data AT ANY TIME. Since this is a separate app, they don’t have to deal with the few privacy controls FB enforces, so now they could access anything about me or my friends’ info any time they want?. No thanks!

I still do not understand the reason for not getting my 28×28 expansion. I never have been able to “craft”onmy iPhone, and I have yet to get my English Hat, for which I have “qualified” three times. So is it just me? I hesitate to try the “upgrade” in the app, It may disappear a.together…
)

Still wont load my farm … the new LOADING sign changes from blue to orange, sits there for 10 minutes and then goes back to my home screen. UGH Zynga makes me itch!!

Ok, I just tried the new app on my iphone3 I just got monday and I got the message…
“your farm is huge! To display it all, we are temporarily hiding some items”
wth if that about?? Everything ain’t loading… didn’t do that on the one before the update. They should have some new iphone only animals to give us then…. lol

You cant do anything on it…..so I was hoping I could at least finally send white apple trees to my friends….GUESS AGAIN!! It crashes everytime I try.
What exactly are the TONS of fixes? HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Wow. I was gonna ask when stables, dairy barns, pigpens, greenhouse and craft buildings would be playable on the iPhone, but I guess I’d better just wait for the update to work first! I know it takes a lot of code to get this stuff to work, but its sooo hard to be patient!

It loads small Farms but not bigger ones. It’s NOT much faster than before, the gifting of iOS items (esp. the white apple tree) to non-iOS players does NOT work, some graphic bugs are still the same as in the last version and it still hides some things on the farm (though it’s a small farm with not much items on it). And so on…

Downloaded the app, finally got it working and was able to login with Facebook only to get a pop-up that says something to the effect of you allow this application access to your information at all times even when the app is not running. I am on FB, I know there is little expectation of privacy there but I share what I want to share, on the iPhone access to all of my information 24×7 even when the app is not running is a little too much for me. I reported for a privacy violation, which has no meaning what-so-ever but it made me feel better.

If you go to your app page on itunes, you delete it from your phone and update. Then you add it back to the apps and update again. When you open it on your iphone you have to do all the “new” stuff again. I was having trouble with the original app and my husband did this and it worked great. So maybe it will work with the update. After all the comments I am afraid to try it myself. Maybe someone who already has it and is having trouble could try it and see if it works. Let us know!

I can’t log in. The sily facebook log in dialog keeps on comin back. I cant even get inside the application now. This is a pathetic thing more so when you upgrade for better performance

Thank you for a much needed update. The new version loads fine on my iphone 4.
I have one small request.
* To be able to see what is in the orchards when they’re 100% ready. I have mostly orchards on my farm, it’s like an Orchardville.

I was able to get the app to load on my iphone. And I happily sent gifts to my non-iphone friends and even to people with the iphone. HOWEVER, no one received any gifts. Not one gift. Apparently, there is a troll in cyberspace that is eating up the farmville gifts. It’s been about 12 hours since I sent the gifts and still nothing.
So, this update was an epic fail on Zynga’s part.

I was excited to hear this but after reading the comments, not so much. I’m downloading it now. I could hardly use fv on my iphone4. It was worthless on the 3g. Well, I’ll give it a try anyhow..

It’s nice to see the large app developers have as much problem as the small ones. Since it takes two weeks to get through app approval at Apple, don’t expect any fix for this bug for awhile! (Assuming they can figure the login bug out quickly) BTW, this is the reason that I suggested to Apple about giving developers a “quick roll back” for this type of problem.

I have downloaded the upgrade for farmville to both ipad and iphone – NEITHER OF THEM WILL NOW ACCESS THE GAME – what now – give up farmville????
Does anyone know how to fix this issue or – is there a way I can get back to the pre upgrade version which worked fine – allowing for all the know issues of course.

Well, for me the game isn’t working after the update, cannot load my farm at all.
I tried to reboot my phone, delete the app, reboot again, reinstall, reboot and then start the app, but still not able to load the farm. Posted a report on the farmville forum aswell, hoping it get resolved soon. Untill then, I cannot really comment on the improvements off the new version.

The update works for me. My farm is faster, it loads really fast, and I haven’t had any problems logging on. I’m actually surprised by how well it has been working.

It’s frustrating that I can’t craft in my winery, or use my greenhouse or put more than 20 in my 35 horse barn, BUT it’s very convenient for when I’m on the go and I need to harvest my crops before they wither. Though lately, I’ve had a problem with it saying I’m out of fuel? So I’ve had to harvest my crops one at a time. But I still appreciate that I can farm on the go.

I am a little irritated at the fact that have not made an app for the android. It has said coming soon for some time now. It is my opinion that Apple is paying Zynga off to NOT make an app for the android. I can play cityville on my android why can’t I play farmville? Just my opinion

I had found a bunch of graphic glitches with the upgrade on my i- Phone farm.
everything from trees showing up as mystrey animal crates to horses showing up as bonis singhns,as well as new horses and cows cut in half glitching back and forth…..Whats up with that?
Example….Yellow unicorn is showing as Lilac master sighn

Since the last update my farm won’t load on my iphone. Issue with loading error keeps appearing. I tried deleting and reloading the APP. No luck. This really sucks! I contact Z-customer support, after twenty minutes I found out that they have a different method for iphone issues…email. Sucks

I have a iphone3g no iOS , I use to be able to play farmville on my phone now I can’t, I don’t care for the Express FarmVille, and I miss playing my game, my laptop is sick, and I miss my farm, my kids tell me I’m having withdraws from FarmVille, because I go to library to play, I just want to know how to get it back on my phone.thallus Anna 9/23/2012
