FarmVille African Eggplant Crop
UPDATE: There hav been reports of Zoo babies not counting towards this challenge. Zynga is aware of the problem and working on a fix- there is a workaround from Zynga: “Howdy Farmers! Many of you have reported that Zoo Babies are not counting into your Leaderboard. However, removing Zoo Babies from the building and placing it on your Farm will allow progress to count. We’re looking into this issue, thanks for your patience!”
This week’s new FarmVille Leaderboard Challenges include “ZooKeeper” and “African Eggplant Fest”.
In “Zoo Keeper” you will be competing with your FarmVille friends to grow up your Zoo Mystery Babies and in “African Eggplant Fest” you will need to harvest the new African Eggplant crop.
You will have one week (7 days) to compete with your friends in this week’s Leaderboard Challenges before it expires and is replaced with new Leaderboard Challenges.

I always do the planting crop portion of th eleaderboard thing; I like getting the awards, but I’ll stop at 6,000. There’s usually quests going on and I need to shift the focus over to accomplishing those within the week before the next one comes out.
I typically use the HF, EC and WW for planting large amounts, saving the LHC for quest stuff (don’t really count HP or JF since the plots on those are so limited.)
