Tonight, the English Countryside theme continues with the release of three new animals – the Shetland Pony, the Devon Cow and the Bagot Goat!
The good news is, none of these animals are exclusively locked to your FarmVille English Countryside farms. Therefore, farmers who have not bothered with the FarmVille EC yet will not have to travel there in order to be able to purchase these animals.
Horse breeders will be happy to know the FarmVille Shetland Pony will birth adorable little Shetland Pony Foals when placed in the Horse Stable and the FarmVille Devon Cow will be able to produce Devon Calves.
These three new animals will be available for purchase in the FarmVille Market for the next 13 days (until April 11, 2011).

Can we put the EC horses on our original farmville and breed them?
Posted on March 27th, 2011 at 11:35 pm
Amy, yeah we can use them on both farms. They aren’t exclusive to just one farm.

LOL
My farm life is very complicated now.
I grow plants in one farm and the time pause when I am in another farm. I grow crop here when it is about time to wither I go to another. Oh My.
Any way, Hope we can share the storage to both farms.

TOO Expensive, it is not as fun at the farm, too many neighbors required to get largest expansion, only one FV$ per level so the only way to buy the majority of items is using legal tender.

So I’m curious has anyone EVER seen a shetland pony with a huge grey patch on their back?!!? What the flip is up with that zynga?! the new model is ADORABLE but the color is sickening!!!

I hear they are starting to roll out an option to run both farms at the same time. is this true, can anyone confirm this.

@ rathoren,
Seriously. I would normally buy every horse in the market, but the coloring on this one is enough to have me second thinking that decision. I Googled images of Shetland Ponies to see if perhaps I’d fine a reliable reference image, but nope, can’t find anything that resembles that. Disappointed.

Does the colors on it have to exactley like they are in real life…Seriously, it is a game. If you like it buy it if not dont. You people are putting way too much thinking in this game. :p

@Nick – been trying to find an answer to this myself, a couple of people have claimed to have got this option now but as far as I can see it’s still only a rumour. Zynga deleted a thread that was started about it on their forums…not sure what that means…

I third the opinion on the Shetland pony, I was actually really hoping they would release a Shetland pony when I heard of the English Countryside edition but the colouring is truly atrocious! I was hoping for something like the normal ponies with the mane of the Gypsy, preferably piebald but hey, I wasn’t expecting them to get my personal taste down to a t, I did however, expect something better than this. The shape I suppose is ok but the colouring is just horrible, it looks like it’s in the early stages of being coloured in and someone forgot to finish it! Atrocious, not spending my hard earned farmcash on a half-arsed attempt to make some more money quickly.

The cows look very strange too… the ‘fur’ on their necks looks like they have some kind of skin condition or varicose vein build up going on. :S

Can you bring yout sheep from your home farm to your new one?
Posted on March 28th, 2011 at 2:31 pm
I hate to say it, but it looks like Farmville did just go to Wikipedia and use that photo, they look the same! lol It’s just less of a blend and more of a stark contrast in pixels.
Shetland Pony – Must buy, it’s so cute! :3 And if you don’t like it’s color, you must not have bought half the horses, the ones that were green, or pink, or blue, or red-maned… So passing up another one won’t hurt your “collection” either.

Strange to think that natural coloring would be one of Zynga’s requirements … think about it we have pink, purple, blue, green, etc etc horses, ponies and cows with dots, hearts, clovers! Do these seem really natural to you, seriously?
The little calf looks really cute to me, but I agree the cow is a bit strange.
As to the fv cash ….. I repeat, as I do every time: Zynga is not a non-profit and there has to be some cash influx somewhere or they will have to charge to be able to play the game at all or close down….period!!!!!

tell you what, if you dont like it, dont get it. this is a game. its not real life. if its at that point for you all, then i think its time to spend some time with your family. one of the things i love about this GAME is its not true to life. when was the last time i saw a blue cow? when was the last time i could give my tree 8 sprinkles and its grown into a cookie tree? come on people my goodness…. if i dont like the way something looks i dont get it, if i think its cute i get it.. do the same and remember its a GAME.

What are you talking about, whenever I plant strawberries when it’s snowing outside, it still only takes four hours for me to harvest them in real life.
Posted on March 28th, 2011 at 7:33 pm
Another thing… what’s with the sausage links for front legs on the Shetland pony? -_-

I agree, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it, hence I haven’t bought it. However I also believe that you are entitled to your opinion and voicing your opinion as long as you don’t cause personal offense, even if you are not lavishing praise on the altar of the almighty Zynga. Especially as you have to pay. I understand that that is the way they make their living and although it’s annoying at times, I have no problem with it as such. I, however, also think if you are asking for payment the customer has the right to expect a certain standard and voice their opinion on some perceived problems with the product. I personally do prefer naturalistic animals and do not buy pink, purple or heart patterned horses although some are cute and I have no problem with them as such. My problem with the pony is that it’s not a fantasy breed like a carnival horse or green kerry cow, it’s supposed to be a Shetland pony, which is an actual breed and as a potential paying customer I would expect more resemblance to the real thing, that’s all. Everyone has different tastes and I see no harm in expressing them as long as it’s fairly respectful to individuals involved in the discussion.

Just wondering if we are going to get bulls for the English Countryside – can’t get calves from the barn without it!!
Posted on March 29th, 2011 at 10:42 pm
The new animals look so fake. Kind of like they have those barbie doll legs that can be pulled off. I know none of them are real, but the older kind look so much more lifelike,..sorry, but I just don’t like them.

I have a bull on my EC farm a friend sent me when bulls were possible to send to friends for a limited time but since then (it has been at least 2 weeks) I have not gotten 1 calf from the dairy even tho it now has a bull inside. Is it not possible to get calves on the EC even with a bull in the dairy?
