FarmVille Limited Edition Vineyard Trees: Bay Laurel Tree & California Laurel Tree

The new Vineyard theme continues as FarmVille introduces two more brand new trees in the FarmVille Market tonight. These consist of the Bay Laurel and the California Laurel Trees.
The California Laurel Tree is a Level 1 tree which may produce Mystery Seedlings upon being harvested from Orchards. These Mystery Seedlings will grow up to be Level 2 Bay Laurel Trees.
Both these trees are available in the Market for the next 13 days (until August 11, 2011). As with every new tree released, these trees are also available with Tree Mastery, the requirements and rewards for which are listed below.

Mastery Level 1: 75 harvests / Rewards: 25 XP and 500 Farm Coins

Mastery Level 3: 225 harvests / Rewards: 250 XP and 5,000 Farm Coins and Mastery Sign

The california laurel is the level 1 tree not the bay laurel tree.

Nice one. I checked here first to see which one was the level 1 tree so I could buy it and it would generate the other one. You have it backwards and so I ended up having to buy the other one as well. Call me suspicious, but…

I got both of these about 10 minutes ago for 5 FC each (just as your screenshot shows), after putting them in the orchard, it says the Bay Laurel tree is the level 2.

I also looked here first, and bought the bay laurel so I could start producing the california laurel. Guess next time I’ll have to get confirmation from someone that has already bought one.

bay laural is in seedlings for quite some time now. i got first tree two days ago. and mastered it already. wont use FV cash for the other one. They might release it for free some time later.

I’ve never liked a tree enough to use FV cash on, but I love the lighter colored Bay Laurel!
(almost as much as the Boom trees that grow like weeds
The level one/two thing you are talking about is new to me.
Sounds like If I put the California in an orchard, it will produce Bay trees?
And if put the Bay in the orchard I’ll get more Bays?
Is that right?
If so, then the California won’t produce more California seedlings in an orchard?
Then why bother unless the single Cali is just for decoration somewhere?
Please talk to me like a 3 year old with this before I go shopping

You are correct. I’ve mastered the Bay Laurel but when I placed the mastery sign on my farm, all I get is a shadow.
