FarmVille Loading Error and Solution
Official FarmVille Forum Community Manger Grimwell addressed the issue many farmers are experiencing today when trying to load FarmVille, a gray error screen. It seems this issue has to do with Adobe Flash Player crashing in Mozilla Firefox.

We know a number of folks are experiencing a gray screen error when trying to play FarmVille and wanted to share some information that may help you resolve it.
The Mozilla support website has more details about the crash issue for Adobe Flash in FF and steps you can follow to resolve the issue and get back to your farms!

Mozilla has assessed the flash player problem providing this explanation:
“By default, if Flash is not responsive for 10 seconds, Firefox will terminate it and display The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed. However, some Flash-based games such as FarmVille and Mafia Wars can take more time than to load, unnecessarily triggering this hang protection.”

You per usual try updating your flash player. This plugin to may be used to verify you have the most recent version. If that fix is an unsuccessful Mozilla provided additional solutions here.

iPhone loading issues too!!!!! I have not been able to load the FV iPhone/iPad/iPod app because it crashes before loading my farm. It doesn’t even appear that Zynga is even acknowledging that there is an issue with the FV iPhone/iPad/iPod app.

I’ve been having this problem with all the Zynga games and its driving me nuts! I’ll check out what Mozilla has and see if it helps. I had tried looking there when it started, but there wasn’t anything then.

I do not use FFox I use Google Chrome and I have the same dang Flash Player crash problems what I do ?? Any Solutions with Google Chrome they always seem to give me interuptions like page is unresponsive and then snap !!

Have no problem loading my farm & finally got the Mozilla crash issues fixed after over 2 months – switched to Chrome!! But did the download for latest Adobe Flash couple days agao and now the farms hesitate when visiting neighbors – have to keep moving the mouse, won’t auto zoom to chicken coops…glitches, glitches, glitches. Certainly has affected my farm time…just not going to deal with it when it acts up!!

I you having problems with you ipod crashing, it probably because you have a 2g Iphone or touch or earlier which (somebody told me) has less ram.
I have a 2g and I got it to work without crashing by.
Holding the power and function button at the same time to reboot you ipod and clear your memory.
Dont open any other program, go straight to open you farmville.
Dont turn the volume up or down.
It may crash still but not before about 10 or fifteen minutes unless…You try to send a gift (and you have lots of friends) or you try to change the settings.

the one thing i hadn’t tried that was on this page was to download the latest version of DirectX. my FV used to hang all the time requiring a power off shutdown instead of normal shutdown of my PC (could not even get to the task manager). i use chrome and firefox (2 farms

I have the iphone 3. I have PLENTY of memory left– no where near the capacity. It goes out of sync when I try to send gifts. (specifically the bamboo).

I also am having a problem with expanding dairy farms. It allows me to click on “share” and then it goes out of sync and never publishes or initiates the raising.
My daughter expanded her coop, got 10 clicks and then nothing happened. it wont’ register the expansion AND now it won’t allow her to try again. It’s frozen in farmville purgatory… it didn’t expand and she can’t try again.

The problem for Firefox users consists in the latest version of the browser 3.6.4. Uninstall it and replace it with some older version of the program. I’ve replace it with 3.6.3 and the crashes gone, but when I’m playing Treasure Isle in the volcano when I teleport between the levels it loads slowly and the browser even doesn’t respond for a while, but you shouldn’t refresh, except sometime in Treasure Isle in the volcano when you use gems (it loads too slowly then and I refresh it).

I experienced this crashing for about 8 weeks in Fishville until the latest version of Flash came out a week ago Thursday. Rarely had any crashes in Farmville as the level of animation is not as intense. Have not seen one since.
Believe there are still some memory leaks that slow things down; given the amount of code added each week, it takes a long time to trace and debug. There are also issues with Facebook losing connection, particularly when their servers aren’t tuned well.

When I tried to use Google Chrome several months ago I’ve been receiving flash crashes and it wasn’t possible to load and play flash based games and I returned to FF.

The weirdest thing is that both my wife and I have ipads with the farmville app dowwnloaded on it , she can play with no issues but I keep getting the “we have issues loading your farm” message. Please help. Is this a server issue?

You know, I’m having a grey screen problem, but not that gray screen problem pictured. Mine more like “dims” and then gets stuck…. like it makes a grey shadow and then goes out of sync.

I havent been able to load on chrome all day, then when i manage to get in on i.e. i notice the addition of all my notifications at the bottom of the page under my farm. coincidence? seems like its just added even more to load on the page. We cant even get rid of these notifications. Why cant zynga leave it alone instead of keep messing things up. Now when i CAN load my farm, i have dumb notifications on there, popups for my dog being fed, pop ups to send olives to neighbours, pop ups to add people as neighbours. Seriously gettin peed off now.

I remember when I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash 10.1, I got a lot of weird glitchy error graphics around some of the gifts. I went to Farmville and it was all fine. I literally had to go back to Version 10.0 to get it going again. I think they fixed it a week later.
Perhaps they are still having issues…

I hate these “simple suggestions”! No matter what is the problem or what you are asking for, they send you these “simple suggestions”. If the problem is so serious to write to “Support”, that mean I’d tried anything possible before that! They are trading as like a stupid sending as this when we are asking for concrete different thing!

I’ve been having the same problem and normally a plain old refresh clears up this problem. According to bug forums/boards a fix is already being worked on for it and will be out soon.

After wasting hours trying all the suggestions on Adobe, Mozilla, etc., to no avail, in my case the simplest and quickest thing was to make a new profile in Firefox. Until I copied my bookmarks from my old profile, everything worked fine. So, I’ll start over with the bookmarks…at least my Flash pages and Firefox work now.

I myself am luckily having no problems loading Farmville
but Frontierville is not working one bit! Every time it loads it has the crash report that is above shows up! Zynga help!

seems like a flash player issue…i troubleshot mine step by step and nothing until i set up my flash player with a 30 second timeout…works just fine now…instructions are adequate on mozilla’s website…follow the link posted above by farmville freak

I continue to get “saving your farm”….but it just locks up the computer and I have to go out and back in…It hapens about 8 or 9 times during the harvest, plow, plant operations…Takes so much time…ggggrrrr

I dont have FF, but have been having problems with the farm being SO slow today… I have been having MAJOR problems with Cafe World though, and know another FV friends and she said the same problem that I’m experiencing in Cafe, she is having on her farm. When we go to publish anything, we are removed from the game, rerouted to a FB “what on your mind” box, which when closed takes you completely out of facebook all together! I’ve already updated Adobe, but saw someone mention updating direct x, so I may try that next…

The underlying problem of farmville has been flash. If they don’t fix it, flash will be it’s undoing. As gameplay gwts more complex, gameplay gets worse.

I periodically change that to meaningless gibberish, especially when farmville starts irritating me. The game loads the same no matter what’s there, they just get a “dummy” entry in their list to figure out.

I have had the same problems since the latest update from Mozilla.
I deinstalled the firefox 3.6.4 and went back to using the 3.5.10 and now it works perfectly and it’s also a lot faster than the firefox 3.6 version has ever been ….

I enjoyed playing Farmville this past year but I think it is a passing fad for most people. There is just too much stuff and slows down performance. The game is a time waster since there is no fast way to play the game. You have to go to Facebook to slowly accept gifts and hope it doesn’t crash. Meanwhile Farmville continues to market new items and create new gifting ignoring the fact that no one can play the game since it is crashing all the time, even in the middle of the night. Foolishly I have paid so much real money for LE items. I play on a Mac and PCs in my home and have changed my service 3 times to Cable, broadband and fiber optic internet services but nothing can ramp up the performance of the game. BTW you can get your iphone to work if you delete the app and reinstall. I think I will abandon using the 3 farms I have created this week if things don’t improve.

Google Chrome is worse than FF, id you are with Firefox version 3.6.4 and have flash reports, just uninstall the the current browser and install a previous version like 3.6.3

i use chrome…won’t ever use anything else. never a problem for me. has anyone noticed that zynga pulled the plug on roller coaster kingdom? i used to play that game. i’m surprised they actually admitted failure and dumped it.

dear FV: i am having trouble with publishing ANYTHING! When it gives me the pop up to publish the screen is gray and it doesn’t allow me to publish. But my daughter plays on the same computer, and it is letting her publish hers. Is there a solution i can do? or is this something you need to fix?

the game is slowly falling apart and now i have nothing to aim for since level 999 is impossible i also regret paying real money for the game now i realize the items for farm cash were nothing special and will just go to waste if i ever quit the game which i am feeling each day its becoming less interesting which normal for all games i guess.

I haven’t had a problem with loading my farm these last few days (fingers crossed), but my problem is they emptied my gift box completely and now everything I collect off the feed will not be placed into my gift box. So, it’s empty no matter what I do. Does anyone know how I can get the items replaced, or do I just have to give up? Anything tips you have will be appreciated. Thanks!

I didn’t have this problem, but when I opened firefox this afternoon I got a message stating that I needed to upgrade Flashplayer. I updated it and haven’t seen that message.

These problems have slowly gotten worse over 4 days.
I just now tried to visit a friends farm, to se if I could fertilise it…but there was no message to ask if you could ‘rake awy leaves’ etc…it was replaced with
“HEY McDONALD can you lend a hand ? Can you lend a hand? Can you lend a hand ?”….
WHAT THE ???? Has anyone else seen this weird message ?

I lost all the fuel in my giftbox today. I had a total of 135 fuel refills and they are gone!! I am livid. What happened and is Farmville going to fix this? It’s getting very frustrating and a lot of my neighbors say they are going to stop playing the game. I still like it and want to play it just won’t load and when I do get it to load, my gifts are gone!! Anyone else have a problem losing fuel or other gifts that were in their gift box??

I uninstalled FV for iPhone and reinstalled and it works now. I hope they can get rid of some of the lag the pc version has.

I can load but I can move just, 3 minutes before I freeze and have to fight to get to the X in upper right corner, or try to, Task Manage my way off . My grape eating sheep is gone, thought it might find it’s way back? I wonder why I keep coming back when it feels like the game is taking so much time I can’t get the farm to stay planted and when I do, I have to harvest several times and when I’m sure it’s harvested whithered crops pop up, just to mock me. Don’t let down your firewalls to improve your games, thats just not in your best interest. Think of what the Facebook HACKERS want from you and delete them from your lists. They are the ones who have many collections, to post every few days, and when ever you click a reward, you accept but it never makes it to your gift box, because of their snag bars. Hackers are slowing the game and spreading their trojans. Ours is not to reason, why. Don’t add facebook friends to your live messenger, (or, open a backdoor). They have many faces,none kind. And if you belong to a snag bar team, quit and stop being part of the problem.

I’m getting sick of reinstalling my Flash player and having it come up with the same crap. Everytime it’s about time to harvest I get a loading game error and wants me to upgrade my flash. When I did it still didn’t work. I did everything they asked and still the same prob. All my crop keep withering and I”ve gone through all my wither spray. It’s getting to be a royal pain. If and when you correct the prob. let me know cause it’s nothing but a headache. One prob after another.

I have tried, aol, IE, google chrome and even downloaded firefox ans nothing has helped. They all freeze and then I get at aol, IE, google chrome and firefox ( which ever one I tried at the time ) all say not responding, do you want to wait or close….I wait aboit 10 or 15 min, then close….. I have 4 dogs and I just don’t know what to do, PLEASE FIX the problem….thank you

when I’m traying to get my rewards from facebook in my mobile normally will take me to farmville to confirm if I want it, but tonight it’ taking me to farmville screen with a message wow partner, farville will come soon. Try again later…(error:2). HELP!!!

whenever i check my inbox i can clearly see not less then 50 gift request & usually i accept them all but whenever i check my gift box i can harldy see 10 new gifts or sometimes just 1 or 2 why ???????

I use my iPad to play FarmVille but, I had used my laptop a couple of times to plays games
since I started playing FarmVille. I did play FarmVille only once because I was out of sync
so, I thought if I was to go on the laptop to see if fix the problem, which I thought I did the
first time around, now the second time around I’m not sure what to do?
I figured the first lap, that the cows needed tended, then chickens as well so then I thought
Whipped!! But now, now I’m wondering if it’s crop I planted which I forgort?? So tell me Please,
