The toolbar sucks. I’ve had it for months and it has never worked properly, despite uninstalling and re-installing several times. The only thing that it’s good for is timing my crops. It doesn’t take me to bonuses, and when I’ve emailed Zynga about the problem, they been completely unresponsive. Does this feature actually work for anyone? I use Firefox, BTW.

I also installed it … and it never got me to a bonus … now I”m wondering what bonus types it is supposed to get …
Useless in my opinion … yes, it tells me when my crops are due next but I have that as I write it down when I plant.

That toolbar is the tackiest, stupidest thing i’ve seen. I wouldn’t be caught dead with that in my browser. It looks like a two year old made it. And i don’t even want to know how primative they coded it. If at all, the only toolbar i’d get is if it was a tiny little box that just had a countdown, but i don’t even need that.

If they want people to use it …. it would help if it actually worked.
Unfortunately, like everything else with FV it’s half ass. Installed it on IE and it just never appeared, despite the fact that the program was there. Tried several times, gave up and deleted it.
FV is becoming quite annoying with all of it’s glitches.

The toolbar worked for a while with me and I was happy with it. However, it got “stuck” saying Harvest Time so I reinstalled it and the same problem occured.

@David-I have a mac and it works perfectly for me. I use firefox not safari.
@Dustin-I had the same problem but I left it alone and now its fixed.

I’ve never used it I have Safari ! Make it for Safari and I will try i t. However reading what people have to say it doesn’t sound very helpful. BTW ~ Everything works on Mac!

Haven’t you all noticed that FV is now advertising it as “find out when to harvest” and they say nothing else. It’s not your computer or browser that is making the bonus part of it not work. It just doesn’t work except to show you the countdown to harvest time and for that reason it is being advertised as, download toolbar to find out when to harvest.
Ironically, the bonus part was supposed to work something like the link snag that everyone is so uptight about and even deleting friends who don’t have it but just read at that site… it was like a witch hunt. And now there is a new application for bitsching and moaning about people who join co op’s and don’t plant… I delete people who threaten about that. Not that I join co op’s and don’t do the work but who cares if someone gets a prize… there are 10 available and if it’s not all used it is just wasted… who cares??? My rule of thumb… this game is supposed to be fun so if you find yourself being angry then you need to change your attitude.

I’ve had the tool bar installed on my computer for a while now [I'm using IE7] and it has worked fine. It’s not a necessity, but I do like that it tells me how long I have to wait to harvest my crops – that’s quite nice.
Re: using it to pick up bonuses – I find this quite hit-and-miss. Sometimes I’m able to use it to pick up stuff that I couldn’t find posted on my news feed, but I’m sure it doesn’t pick up everything, so I also manually scroll throught my FB feed to find bonuses & rewards.

I use Flock browser (based on firefox) and it usually works – timer almost always works, bonus is hit and miss. The radio feature has some good stations in it, and the weather thing is cool – but I dont think its yet 94 degrees at 9am – so I am not sure how accurate the data is.

I have had the toolbar since it’s debut. It has never functioned 100% proper. The harvest time works great, but as we here as a family have multiple accounts and farms, it only stays on the one that was active when installed. For example, my farm is ready in 2 hours, my wife logs on and it still shows my timer.
As for the reward button in the middle, it has always been the same exact reward from the same person, “Sorry Diana’s Reward has already been claimed” this part sucks.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled with same results, on IE, Chrome, and Firefox.
Cleared cache and all that crap, still P.O.S.

I’ve been using the toolbar for months and appreciate the add-ons which were available for early releases. It is a click to clear cache and browsing history. Newer versions don’t have the same customization options.
Also like being able to launch FarmVille.com from the toolbar. The Bonus button still has some bugs. Every time I click No for an item or if the item is all gone, the Bonus button does not refresh unless I refresh the entire bar or re-launch Firefox.

i had the toolbar… but it didnt work. kept showing a red X where somekind of picture was supposed to be. then i’d click it and it would say that i already got it. So i deleted the bar, waste of time and space.

I couldn’t get. It shows me that it is downloading, but when I press the button to restart Firefox, it comes back to the inicial download screen. Did anybody have this problem?

I had the exact same problem with Firefox, Lara. And I don’t see why I should change from Safari just to be able to download a pretty ugly game bar.

I have a Mac and use Firefox. It works I guess.
I like to see my harvest time but lots of the time there is a FV add covering it. Don’t like that.
I wasn’t expecting much so I wasn’t disappointed.

On a Mac. Did not work well on Firefox, Chrome or Safari for me. Also use Camino which is awesome for facebook and farmville and it did not work on that. 7-11 promotion is so not fair!!!!!!!! how about us, who are in abroad?! specially me, i’m from the Philippines!! i would love to have those stuffs jst like others, but i can’t cause i’m not lving in US?

I downloaded and uninstalled the toolbar twice. Hoping that the second time the bugs would be fixed. Waste of time IMHO. The harvest time worked sometime. I was really hoping that the bonus collector would be somewhat like FVC (Farmville Bonus checker) which is pretty good. Maybe when they improve the bonus part, I’ll download again.

I have the Farmville toolbar on Firefox and it seems to be working fine. Here’s the trick…the bonuses don’t work if your tab is on Farmville. So I just close the farmville tab and have the active tab on facebook only and the bonuses work like a charm. I went from level 0 to level 12 in 3 days, gathering a bunch of bonuses along the way. Countdown timer seemed to be accurate, even down to the seconds…….as for the IE7/IE8 problem, I think taht must be a detection issue inside the page when it is reading your browser level for IE. Microsoft’s dirty secret is that once you upgrade to IE8, you can’t go back to 7 without a TON of trouble. But then, why would you?

I have no problem at all with the toolbar. I get bonuses without a problem as long as a I do it from Facebook and I love the harvest time though it gets annoying when it gets hidden but then it fixes itself, pretty much like everything else on Facebook.

Witch hunt my freaking hairy butt, people aren’t deleted people for reading that facebook site, people are ridding scumbags from their FV neighbors list who aren’t able to play fair and uses a CHEAT bar that takes things when you are or you AREN’T at the computer.

hi! is there something wrong with farmville? Is there a maintenance today? all day middle east time from 6 august at 12 am until 7 august 2am i cant open it.

Nobody is stopping you from deleting. Go for it. I just delete people. The lovely thing about farmville is? It’s, like, really popular. And apparently, a lot of people use it. So I lose you as a neighbor and I can get 50 to replace you. You’re replaceable. I’m replaceable. I really don’t get upset if I see one less neighbor. I get new adds every day.

You should probably check your attitude before you start lecturing others on that. You seem a little butthurt that people are deleting you over snag bar usage. If you have no probs using snag bars, whatever, but a lot of people don’t want that on their game. And that is certainly their right.

Argghhh i wanted to download the farmville game bar so i could know when my crops are ready cuz im kinda hooked to farmville -_- anyway, i have a mac and it wont let me download it onto Safari which is the only internet browser i have on there. So then i tried it on my other computer which was windows 7 but i use Safari on there too and i dont really want to get Mozilla Firefox. will they ever enable it to download onto mac/safari

I’m a computer neophyte, but I AM learning!! My P.C. will NOT install fV’s toolbar. Thought I was just being an idiot. These comments really helped me, & I no longer feel the dingbat. Now I’m thinking that it looks somewhat useless to worry about it anyway. Thanks everyone for commenting!!
