New FarmVille Error Message For Mobile Users
FarmVille is displaying a new error message to users attempting to visit the game play screen using certain mobile devices. This error was seen after accepting a bonus item and being sent to the game.
In the past, when accepting a bonus item, players would only see an error indicating the correct version of Flash was not installed.
The implementation of this new screen indicates that FarmVille may be gearing up for mobile play. Many users (myself included) are waiting to see when they’ll be able to farm on the go using their mobile devices. It’s certainly an exciting prospect!

My good sir, Droid and Android are two things. One is a phone that runs Android, the other is the actual OS. And I wouldn’t say such things so fast, everyone knows the next version of Android will run Flash which is what powers FarmVille.
Mobile computing is the wave of the future, busta, so get with it.

For most bonuses it should work fine even if you get that message…I was still able to get mystery eggs, collectibles and bonus points…
Posted on May 15th, 2010 at 5:02 pm
Yair, yes, I was still able to get the bonuses, but this new message is cetainly a good sign of things to come

red nasty all im saying it wont happend lol flash is old even the ceo of zynga said it lol do you people come on here n just blab?
html 5 is the future google it go to html 5 sites ..
Posted on May 15th, 2010 at 7:12 pm
HURR DURR, everyone and their mother knows HTML 5 isn’t ready for widepsread use, duh. Flash is already established, I don’t see Zynga moving away from it anytime soon, and no one else is dropping it, except for Apple but that’s because Jobs is begging for an anti-trust lawsuit.
I definitely can see farmville moving to phones, but I bet Zynga will have to tinker with the game a lot to get it to work anywhere as smoothly(if you can even call FarmVille smooth at all what with all the issues it has) as it does on a computer. I’d imagine theyd scale it down and only let you plow harvest and plant, but who knows!

Sounds cooool! if it really is coming to mobile devices!
Posted on May 16th, 2010 at 12:22 am
I posted it when I got it on my iPhone. I figured it’s just a replacement for the flash player needed message.

Apple refuses to support Flash on mobile devices and Farmville is Flash. In order for this to happen either Apple must start supporting Flash (not going to happen based on what I’ve read) or Zynga would have to completely redesign the game using a different platform or software (I don’t see that happening anytime soon) I think they just decided to make the error message to shut people up who are claiming stuff on their mobile devices and getting confused when the game doesn’t actually load. I can’t imagine trying to play on a mobile device, Farmville is a resource suck even on a laptop.

So how do we play farmville on a mobile device? I never even knew it was possible until I saw this post!
Posted on May 16th, 2010 at 12:51 am
Oh, never mind. I see. When you go to play farmville on facebook on your ipod, it used to just not load. Not it says it isn’t available, which may mean that it will soon be available? I really hope so!

Believe me you don’t want to play fv on our mobile.Firstly because it is even slower than on your usual pc or laptop. Secondly because your mobile screen is just too tiny. I know this because I am able to “play” fv on my mobile (Omnia i900). Well at least ist loads and I can harvest, plow and plant but it takes an awfull lot of time so I’m not using it.
For those who might not believe me that I’m able to play it, just download the browser called “skyfire” on you windows mobiles based device. Skyfire supports flash
And I wonder how Zynga will make FV available for Iphone-Users because it doesn’t support flash (and probably ever won’t).

Well Busta has been on the rag in many threads but why not bring it up in those? Here he is just giving his opinion in a civil (well for him) way and an intelligent discussion, even when it’s a disagreement is what I look for here. Mostly it is whining about the same old things.
Posted on May 16th, 2010 at 8:25 am
if u have an iphone or itouch get the free app cloud browser…….u can play “FARMVILLE” on ur phone. Try it i promise it works
Posted on May 16th, 2010 at 8:44 am
Wow. You guys are TOTALLY unrealistic as to what a mobile device is capable of. Farmville will never run on a mobile platform without completely being redesigned and many of the features that you use stripped out. Heck, it barely runs on a full PC! So how do you think it will possibly run on a mobile device with less memory? The answer is, it won’t!
I could see them do some sort of limited thing where you could still check the status of things and collect your gifts. But run the whole game? No way. Not gonna happen. Not until mobile devices beef up their specs quite a bit. We just aren’t there yet.
Plus, let’s face it. Playing Farmville on a small screen wouldn’t really be that enjoyable. You’d get tired of all that scrolling REAL quick. On an iPad though, I could see that. Still, with any mobile device you would have connectivity issues. You think you see a “your farm is out of sync” message a lot now? Wait until you are trying to play from a moving car or train! LOL

thank you suzy
AND I AGREE stop whining !!!! and play the game
Posted on May 16th, 2010 at 8:58 am
there will never be an app to play farmville on mobile phones . at least not actuall game play people do not understand that , it messes up on a 3. ghz dual proc, with 4 gigs be serious u think its gonna work on a measly phone ? lol
