Posted on May 6th, 2010 at 9:58 pm
I was very excited to see the adobe gateway… and very disappointed that it didn’t fit between two fences. Really, Farmville? What is the point if that? Gagh!

you two both fail miserably at life.

The Provence gates and fences didn’t fit at first either, they fixed that in a day or two, hopefully they will get this fixed for you soon.

It a new “button” on top of the co – op, maybe for the new market place.? (*O*)

Love the campfire : )

Yet another lame update. Where are the million coin buildings with purpose? Where is the ability of the nursery to turn the babies into adults? Where are the various expansions?
Oh yeah………….”Coming Soon”

Wow, FV’s quality and variety on themes item has really improved, really good!
Posted on May 6th, 2010 at 10:21 pm
I’ll probably get the campfire, but pass on the rest.
There’s no room for anything else.

I guess Zynga is trying to beat the record 4.4 million players who quit playing in April. I bet May will be closer to 10 million players who quit playing. The ship is sinking and the rats are jumping off.

Love this theme. I hope they get the gate fixed
Posted on May 6th, 2010 at 10:52 pm
I have to agree Rogue Robot, so why don’t you jump off next you ignorant piece of ****! Stop complaining as if Zynga doesn’t release brand new things EVERY WEEK. They always release neat things, just because it isn’t specifically what you want doesn’t mean they aren’t trying really hard.
Posted on May 6th, 2010 at 10:54 pm
Campfire looks like a recycle of the Fire Pit.

i really love those campfires, i bougt 4 of them
Posted on May 6th, 2010 at 11:32 pm
The personal abuse should stop.
I agree that the gates and arch should fit the walls. The programmers are getting a bit sloppy. More attention to detail please.
There’s always new stuff – some you’ll like, some you wont. You just take what you can use and pass on the rest. I have been able to use some of the decorations and the Gila Monster but the buildings and most of the decs are of no use to me however that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate the level of effort and detail that Zynga have put into the Southwestern theme. It’s just not to my taste and doesn’t suit my farm. I may love the next theme (Tuscany?) or I may hate it. People should stop bleating like newborn lambs whenever something they don’t like is released.

I absolutely adore the campfire..coolest item to come out 4 coins so far..i don’t really like d present theme tho..waiting 4 the tuscany theme if hopefully that comes next

I dunno about you whiners, but I think it’s FANTASTIC that new things were just released for COINS. Besides the Bobcat and the buildings, the items are all COINS. You know, those things that people are complaining about wanting to spend on new items? I could easily have seen the campfire being cash.
And another cactus- LOVE this theme! Love coin cacti, I can buy as many as I want!
The gateway and arch might not be perfect, but they sure fit well enough for me. They convinced me to change my fencing theme.
Posted on May 7th, 2010 at 12:45 am
I really like the campfire, and bought a couple gates too… Just wish that archways would fit with fences

Yes – enough with the abuse. Grow up!
As mentioned by several players, there is something new for everybody – up to a point, that is.
Problem is, there is too much of a time lag between themes. Us level 40+ players are getting bored, very bored. Most of us are not going to switch themes – too much money involved and it would mean trashing part of our current farms to build something new.
Remember, the Zynga developer’s main focus is to maximize the companies profits, even if thousands of players decide they have had enough. New players will take their place and start spending real money… just like the old players did.
The adobe theme will run its course, and once the profits fall off, the company will develop a new theme – in this case, hopefully one that will have a broader appeal.
Zynga needs to focus some of their attention to basic game play. There is very little incentive to go beyond level 40. For example, to grind through 10,000 experience points and get a reward of 1 FV dollar is ridiculous. To grind through endless harvests to finally get a mastery sign is ridiculous. To grind through hundreds and hundreds of harvests to reach level 70 is totally pointless. Bragging rights… give me a break!
We have been promised buildings with purpose. “Listen closely Zynga developers” -consider interspersing the occasional new building (e.g. winery), make it a parts to build – buy the frame for 100,000 coins, and maybe a couple of FV – you will keep your old players, and thrill the new players. Make your ‘pay to play’ buildings nice looking, and people will continue to buy them too.
Anybody else have thoughts on this?

@FBnote
>>”…There is very little incentive to go beyond level 40. For example, to grind through 10,000 experience points and get a reward of 1 FV dollar is ridiculous. ”
I agree completely. There’s no incentive there at all. It takes me 3-4 weeks to level up now and for what? 1FV$? So I can buy a rock? That’s not a way to reward my investment in your game. Worse still, once I get to 70 the 1FV$ stops. Make it 1FV$ per 1000xp.
>>”To grind through endless harvests to finally get a mastery sign is ridiculous.”
Yes and no. The xp IS a nice reward and it’s great to have something to show off but the amount of harvests required to gain the masteries in some crops is insane. The argument is that you can plant more Blackberries than Grapes in 24hrs so the tarrif should be higher for blackberries. That’s wrong. Most (sane) people do not farm in 4hr shifts, setting their alarm clocks to tend to their crops in the middle of the night. Most people sleep, work and do other stuff. I imagine that far from the 6 harvests per day scenario, most people harvest a MAXIMUM of 3 times. I usually choose 24hr crops unless I’m off and do 12hr crops. There’s no incentive for me to harvest 20000 raspberries. Make it 2000 and i might be able to squeeze in a few 2hr plantings here and there.

I mostly agree but I don’t want too many u-build buidings around and would prefer if they could restrict things better. right now there’re the Botanics, the Stable and the Nursery. Perhaps they could stick to a rotation of standard buildings like the stable and nursery and have a guest u-build along side. Maybe you’d have to wait a few weeks for stable parts while the nursery’s on rotation but the stable would come back eventually. At the same time we’d have a ‘guest’ u-build along side. Just a thought.

sm1 said the campfire looked like a recycled fire pit., i had a giggle it dose but as i do have farm cash i couldnt get it so im buying the recycled fire pit i love it.

YOU ARE NUTS!
I am currently at level 61, and it doesn’t take me nearly as long as that to level up, maximum it takes is one week. I don’t see how level 40+ doesn’t have incentive to keep playing, why not master all crops, or do some co-op jobs. People are too dependent on free farm cash, that’s what’s bringing them down, not the perceived lame game play.

I think the ones complaining are extremely childish. The world nor Zynga revolves around you guys. The release items and the ones you like- I may not like but it’s no big deal, don’t buy the items you don’t like, if you don’t like the theme then keep the theme you have until one comes out that you do like. It’s that simple there is no need to come on this site and complain about stuff constantly. I agree I do not like the Adobe theme either, some of the items are nice though. I do like the fireplace even if it does look “recycled”, if yall weren’t siting here complaining about the new items, the time it takes for them to get to us about things, then Zynga wouldn’t have to “recycle” items. This site is meant for us to share, help and chat not call each other names and insult each other. I wish they would just delete you accounts and ban your IP addresses.

I think there’s a lot of variety, and it seems like there’s new stuff out all the time. I really liked the Southwestern theme, and just when I was wishing there was more stuff for it they released the very cool gila monster, tumbleweeds, etc. I think they’re doing pretty good at keeping things interesting. Sure, I thought the botanical garden should have a purpose. And there are the usual complaints about proportionality and the inability to rotate certain things. But overall it’s still fun.

By the way, moving up a level for the sake of moving up a level isn’t very difficult. If you had 200 plots and grew peas, for example, that’s 800 XP (1 for plowing, 3 for planting) a day. That’s 5600 XP a week. Peas also have a good profit margin (176 coins after plowing and planting). With 200 plots, you’d make 35,200 coins a day or 246,600 coins a week. That’s more than enough to buy 2 windmills a week to give you another 2000 XP. That’s 7600 XP every 7 days.
Posted on May 7th, 2010 at 11:47 am
It takes about 3 weeks for me because I keep 200 plots and sometimes grow peas (see Poetically Just above) but I’m aiming for other masteries now. I am currently growing lilies as I’ve mastered peas and want to try something else. Turn around for me is 24-30 hours depending on when i can harvest. I’m not particularly chasing xp though. As a level 52 player i can see the end in sight and I am not especially in a hurry to get to 70. This means I amble along at about 4000xp per week and generally by the end of the third week I have levelled up. I am saving the little coins I generate for a fuel plant. I COULD race through the levels faster but that would not gain me anything. Far from it, I would find myself playing for no further reward. It’s not ‘lame game play’ it’s a delaying tactic. Even so, my original premise still holds – there’s little incentive cash-wise to try harder. 1FV$ for 10000 xp is a tiny return. It’s that paltry reward that encourages farming other accounts where you can send yourself a mystery box or a bobcat for only 1 weeks effort (if that) rather than play the game straight. Zynga should make the game more attractive to play honestly instead of encouraging decption through ignoring the level 40+ players.

One thing I like about the campfire is that it isn’t theme-specific. I plan on getting a few when I get home from work.
Posted on May 7th, 2010 at 4:42 pm
I have waited a year for the campfire! FINALLY!! Love it but FarmVille needs to get rid of the FV money!
Posted on May 7th, 2010 at 8:11 pm
ACE campfire. I have been dying for a firepit since the first mystery box and never managed to get one! Hurrah. Something to spend my millions of coins on
Posted on May 7th, 2010 at 8:22 pm
hey, the flax leaf turned into FLAX PLANT….
Posted on May 8th, 2010 at 6:58 am
It would be good if more of the coin-purchase buildings could face SW – at the moment these are nearly all FV purchase, except for the barns and stables. (Adobe cottage a welcome exception.) It would also be great if more buildings had functions – like storing plants we’re not currently using in the botanical garden, since 3×3 is a big space to used up. If 70 is the top, I guess that will be where I qut. It would just be electronic Playmobil – fun in a way, but … play it with your toddlers.
Oh, and the rest of the world’s players are going to be pretty sick if they see the US players get free gifts because they buy cards we can’t get!
Posted on May 9th, 2010 at 2:27 pm
I agree with all the guys who are saying there is “no incentive for players once they reach level 70″ I admit I still play the game but I have been patiently waiting for Zynga to introduce some more levels after 70 and if anyone who listens to the podcasts regulary you will remember a while back now, we were told thery were working on more levels after 70.
I guess this was something they chose to overlook and keep in the “comin soon section” for ages(as we are still waiting)
But at least they have masteries, otherwise I would have quit playing a long time ago. I like the idea of having all the mastery signs and I don’t have many more to go….so appreciate any new crops they add.
It does take long to master some crops though. I am working on sugar cane at the moment and I really think they should have reduced the amount needed for that.
Generally speaking though. I am more than happy at all the new theme(s)/items(s) that Zynga is releasing lately. I feel there is plenty of variety there for everyone and I buy things that I feel will fit into my farm so yes those of you who don’t like certain things you should just not buy them as Zynga has to cater for all their players. I’m not too keen on southwestern theme but I loved the indian/french theme and am looking forward to future themes.
I also did not see the point of the huge if not slighlt ugly botantical garden. It went straight into storage. I’m waiting for the nursery to either expand or start producing grown up animals as I already have foals of all kinds.
I like this site and just wanted to say thanks to the guys who put stuff up on here for us all. Just wish ppl would not abuse each other on here.
Lastly totally off topic@ Has anyone noticed that in collections you can only collect common collectables from friends feed:- Is this intended or just a glitch.
From one farmer to the next

I think the adobe set is great but one small thing is the walls do not join up around the field or join up with the Gate or Arch which leaves a gap.
I was hoping that this can be sorted out so everything matches better….
Posted on May 27th, 2010 at 12:08 pm
Hey guys! I’d love to get a campfire, but am new to FV! Can anyone tell me how I can get this item that is no longer available? Maybe Zynga should have a “comeback” for the high-demand items???
Thanx!
