I think that they should make it a rare random event and every now and then actually give us one of the rare animals if we put a rare baby in.

I really wish the nursery animals would grow into the adult version of the youngin. I have some neat calves that sit idol because I can't grow them and reproduce them. Why is that? Same with horses. A person can only sooo many black horses and holstein cows.
Thanks!

So by this line of reasoning, it is patently 'unfair' to those who purchase limited edition trees for FV cash to watch their neighbors mature the seedlings for free. What am I missing?

I don't think it unreasonable to expect that a stallion foal mature into a stallion.

You breeder types are so quick to cry when you feel taken advantage of by the unwashed masses maturing your foals for free, but gleefully exploit the multiple stable harvest trick that makes it all possible. Is it fair that you get to rake in all the extra coinage/xp from utilizing this not so intuitive, secret society technique?

No one is forcing you to part with any cash...

I think that farmville should let us buy horse with the coin and then let use breed the foal and make some of use happy. because like me don't make alike of money like the ones who can buy horses.

Heres a unique idea how about having the foals grow up to be what they are..... ummm I guess thats too unrealistic... But you know the the horses in your horse barn always have foals that look like them its just silly of us to think they could grow up into what they are born....ummm not!

I for one did expect the babies to grow into similar adults. Even if it is randomly generated, there should be more options for the adults than just a handful of boring, already overpopulated animals. They should at least throw a couple unique adults into the mix - you may not get a disco horse from a disco foal, but at least you could get something unique, not a black horse. It could still be randomly generated, but there should at least be a chance to get unique animals, aside from the blue pony and cream draft foal.

Seriously, how long do you have to wait for a single random baby to grow? Once it gets into your nursery, it takes weeks to months at best, I get about 1 adult a week if I am lucky.

If you pay farm cash, great, you get a special adult immediately. You are paying for ***instant gratification***. You are paying for the convenience of not having to tend to your calves and foals sitting outside the nursery barn waiting for a spot to open and tending to your barn every day or two.

I'm all for the occasional small farmcash purchase, just for fun, but Zynga expects people to be tything 20% of their paychecks to the game! Some people have a mortgage, utilities, property taxes, car payments, or at least prioritize those bills higher than wasting money on a BETA game which in all reality could go away any day!! All Zynga has to do is look at their finances and say "well, we aren't making what we should be, let's shut it down." Seriously, we could all wake up one morning, and Farmville is no more.

But I'm getting off topic - The whole point behind this game is you can devote your time to it, or you can spend real life money to achieve goals immediately. But why devote time when you get nothing out of it? When you are just getting adults that you already have too many of, the only goal can really be to grow the animals to increase the sell value from 120 coins for a baby to 400 coins for an adult.

From an email interaction with Zynga customer support:

--I have been having baby animals grow up to be an entirely different breed from the baby that they were. For example, my Gypsy Foal grew up to be a
black horse. Is this normal? I've been having calves do the same thing as well. It seems the folks at Zynga are having a bit of trouble with basic genetics. :P Thanks for your help.

--Regarding the foals, most of them grows up to be a black horse but some special foals like Cream Draft Foal transforms into Cream Draft horse. Another example is a Clydesdale Foal that transforms into Cream Draft Horse.

Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience.

Happy Holidays!

Kind regards,
Roy S.

May as well just sell them right off the hop, cuz you're going to want to sell them once they grow up anyway. Zynga can stuff their nursery.

I'm SOOOO glad I didn't put my foals in the nursery before reading this. I would have totally ruined them.

I wonder how many put their one and only prized foal into a barn only to see it come out as a brown horse.

This is an epic fail.
