I love how they’re releasing many higher level items.. it makes me want to level up more and stay addicted to FV =)
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:35 pm

how do they come up with these prices??????
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:38 pm
Haha you people asked for coin items. Hahahahahahaha.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:38 pm

Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:44 pm
I’m going to buy it
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:44 pm
Dan, the 92 in 2 days is the money you get each time you harvest. It’s not how much you sell the bird back for.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:44 pm
Isn’t a pheasant considered poor????
No, I won’t buy it.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
cute bird but I do not think it is worth 2mil coins, I am level 74(mid range) and only have like 4mil coins…
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
What does it harvest, plutononium eggs? Worth 10 farmville cash each time???
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:46 pm
this is really weird
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:46 pm
it doesnt even look like a pheasant!!
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:47 pm
“So they’re screaming about having millions of coins, and nothing to spend on huh? Well, let’s release ordinary items that cost more than a million! We can do that!”
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:48 pm
oh yeah cal i didnt realise that, but anyway it will take years to get all your money back.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:54 pm
Can’t wait to see them release the frog that wanted to become an ox on the market. Affordable at 10 000 000 coins I presume?
And what does that bird produce? Platinum eggs? :O LOL ;D
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:55 pm
It’s not about how much it cost
and it’s not about how quick you get here money back from collecting
it’s about having something to spend your coin on
many players have this plus many more millions
and what else are you going to spend them on
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:56 pm
Too expensive. I prefer to wait for the cattail pond.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:58 pm
Agree with Anonv. WA-A-A-A-Y too much for a bird. How many farms have pheasants anyway? If they would plan an expansion instead of more items to buy, more enthusiasm would be generated. Right now, I’m just hoping for MORE ROOM for all this stuff. Tired of buying and having to sell it because there is no room.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 5:59 pm
2,000,000!? thats awfully high..even if you’re a high level player. there’s so much to buy, little money for it…
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:04 pm
by the way phesants are wild y dont yous just make it adoptable zynga??
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:06 pm
Not really a return in keeping with the other new animals recently… the Arapawa goat cost 500,000 and returns 1200 every 2nd day. This costs 4 times the amount to buy, but only a 92 coin return… it doesn’t add up for me.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:09 pm
Way too expensive like the belted cow!!!
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:10 pm
Is there anything they could do that you people wouldn’t gripe about?
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:15 pm
Yes! I love it when they add flora and fauna from my home, but the pheasants in Nebraska are more reddish-brownish.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:16 pm
I understand that high level players tend to have more money, but not all do. especially since you make less then half in profit from seeds. 2 million is way to high 500,000 is a good price. Zynga really wants to make sure they would still make money by making sure prices are high enough for coins that people would purchase the cash AND coins.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:19 pm
im all for coin items for the higher level players but what about us lower level players? ive been playing fv since august and im just at level 42. i have a life i cant be sitting in front of the game all day leveling up. its like the lower level players just get sh*t on for being on the lower levels and for our punishment for not slaving over the game is only having the opportunity to buy stuff for fv cash…either that or a sheep or a pig…i dont need anymore of these played out items.
does ANYONE agree with me?
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:27 pm
its so small..
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:31 pm
THAT IS REDICOULOUS!!!! pheasants arent even rare birds. even 1 mil would be too hig. 2 mil is insane!!! a better price would be 100,000
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:46 pm
Man, I’m trying to quit the game and had been crop-free since Monday! Now I just went and planted peas and plowed and deleted some fields. Damn you farmville, you own my soul!!!!!!! I WANT THIS PHEASANT!!!!!!!!!
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 6:50 pm
I think FV’s going to make the whole game mad – many of my friends have just left FV recently, more and more high costing items is not a good trend for the game’s development. I agree with BENNETT that IT IS REDICOULOUS even though that’s true higher level farmers have lots of money
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 7:10 pm
For crying out loud! People piss, moan and complain about everything costing farmcash, then when something comes out for coins everyone is still bitching. Yeah, they are over priced, but maybe people should think about that before they start complaining about having “millions of coins and nothing to spend them on”. Boo Hoo! Get over it. Buy it, or quit…. Zynga really doesn’t care, ya’all!
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 7:33 pm
First of all, I’m not paying actual money for FV cash. Secondly, they charge way too much farmville coins for this stuff.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 7:36 pm
no where near worth what you can harvest from it, waste of money
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 7:37 pm
I dont understand you ppl !!! You keep bitchin and complainin that everything is for FV cash. Now they release items that are available for coins and your reaction is more bitchin and complainin?!? Lmao… You are hopeless !!!
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 8:12 pm
I understand why people would be upset, 2 million dollars is seriously ridiculous. BUT if it was for farmville cash people would be saying “I don’t care if its 5million coins make fv cash items into coins” so really, there isnt any winning.. their doing us a favor.. but maybe not make it 2 million coins on only a 92 dollar harvest.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 8:20 pm
I bought most of the other items-even bought 2 cows and thinking of buying another. I have about 9 mil coins left. Considering I had nearly 20 mil, it went down quickly, I think I’ll save mine for the next releases if any.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 8:42 pm
Very small and disappointing for 2 million.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 8:44 pm
is there anyone in Znyga understand economic term?
they’re just ruins the currency. expensive coin animal & building is inflation.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Will I get it, when I get there- yup…
Do I think the cost is too high? No
Do I think the ratio of cost to harvest is too high- oh hell yes- the Saddleback critters cost a lot, but give a good return, (only able to use the pig, which costs about an eighth of this and drops 1000 per time)
Don’t have a problem with the 2mil price, but they I hope they adjust the harvesting a bit.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 9:52 pm
Is it too much? Probably, but who really cares? What else are you going to do with your coins? I just bought one, I have all of the higher level stuff (except the new pond because I have no room), and I still have over 6 million coins! Please stop complaining about how many coins things are. Those of you who are level 90 or above and can’t afford these things and still have a ton of coins left have done something terribly wrong somewhere along the way in your farming career. Manage your money better and you can afford these expensive coin items and still not have to even think about it. Don’t blame Zynga, it was your poor financial planning that has left you in this lurch.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 10:30 pm
If a pheasant comes with a price tag of 2mil – I can hardly wait to see what a land expansion will cost. Save your coin people, youre going to need all you can get.
Posted on June 24th, 2010 at 10:39 pm
Good point Dora – its never good for them… I think its worth 2 million… Id rather pay 2 million than 22 farmcash period – if your not happy then dont play but stop complaining..
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 12:52 am
i think its more like a status symbol than anything else
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 1:05 am
For 2 million, that birdy must poop diamonds or something.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 1:06 am
people, get a life, farmville is not everithing in life, play the game as a spendtime, dont let the game play with you.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 1:15 am
i dont mind that stuff is for coins. i care that its out of reach im glad there listening to exclusive items for higher level farmers, but what about lower levels? all we get is farmcash
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 2:37 am
they are taking the fun out of the game with these high prices for items i used to love fv now that every thing s to high in price i may stop playing to get to 1,000,000 you have to play for weeks on end thats stupid
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 2:51 am
Whoo, 119 years to breakeven.
Hoard all your monies I say! It doesn’t even look nice. I much prefer my Snow Leopard.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 5:04 am
Better than Villa , I already bought few of them.
after asking coin item … this is good .. but it should reward some extra thing.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 6:43 am
its great that FV released another high level item and i’m completely ok with the cost. but like JohnnyJ says this bird is ridiculous. It takes 119 years to break even? whereas the belted cow that costs 1million at least gives 3000 a day. So assuming you play for 3 months (which i probably will) you get insane profit from that…
zynga should just increase the profit to match to cost, like maybe 9200 every two days or something
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 6:50 am
2 million?
the snow leopard isn’t that much
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 7:58 am
Who cares how much it costs. It for level 85 and higher players. When you`ll get to that level you will surely have more than just a couple millions so stop complaining
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 9:21 am
Zynga should get some sense and stop releasing these kinds of stuff. I understand they want to perpetuate the game but come on, put out some really nice items at reasonable costs. And what’s with the increment of 100,000 xp to level up for those who are already high up there??? Eventually, it will backfire. People will just get tired.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 9:41 am
Anybody know how many XP you get for buying a pheasant?
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 9:46 am
Pixie u are on crack or something I’m level 85 and I have 15 M coins lol so yeah i but 7 birds with my coins and that’s it, and I didn’t buy almost no coint item.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 10:42 am
I love reading these posts, I find it so humorous. The pheasant is expensive, but hey its something to spend your coins on and by that level you will have plenty. Im at level 63 and have 5 mil. It kind of makes the Villa and the Estate costs seem so little now, where as before I saved for WEEKS for both!!
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 11:33 am
To all of those people who are mad because we complain for everything, read this:
Dont you guys understand with all high coins stuff Zynga is doing the same thing they do with FV. If you dont have 2.000.000 coins you have to buy them with REAL MONEY, just like FV. The difference is that if $5 is 25FV and $5 is 500.000 coins this bird actually costs around 100FV, thats why we are complaining,
Bring stuff with COINS, but NOT THAT MUCH COINS.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 12:00 pm
It takes 119 years to get you money back, I don’t mind the price, but like the other high animals, it takes far too long to get your money back, I would suggest for that price a return of about 3500-4000 coins because you make your money back in a couple of years
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 1:44 pm
nobody needs to buy this pheasant…
and if you’re level 85, you’ll have enough coins to buy 5 of them, you don’t need to spend real money on it…
if you’re level 85 and DON’T have 2.000.000 coins, you probably wasted it on other stuff, so stop complaining…
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 4:46 pm
#57 Claudine, you dont need to have millions of coints on level 85. I am on level 55 and I only have 900.000 coins, only because I dont have much land to plant and have many buildings. This doesnt mean I wont level up, but it does mean I wont have 2.000.000 on level 85.
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 5:12 pm
I did the math. It would take approximately 120 years to make a profit…
Posted on June 25th, 2010 at 8:09 pm
Definitely not spending 2mil coins on a bird. It’s cute though!
Posted on June 26th, 2010 at 5:34 am
Anybody know how many XP you get for buying a pheasant?
Posted on June 26th, 2010 at 10:10 am
To Kay Walser that is the major problem FARMVILLE does not care at all and until the users group together they will stay on the same road it is wrong but everyone putys up with it I have almost 10 nil but I will not buy it it is way over prised I will save it until they put out something we really want not something I go out and shoot and have for dinner
Posted on June 27th, 2010 at 12:49 am
put the glass pipe down before you consider buying this bird,2 mil on something that small! the funny part is that you can sell it for 92 coins LOL! why didnt they just make it sell for 1 coin, why stop at 92! SMH
Posted on June 28th, 2010 at 3:26 am
This is an absolute disgrace! Worse than the 300k dog scenario! Yes we wanted more coin items but 2,000,000 for something that’s smaller than a sheep?! Totally ridiculous. It would take forever to make your money back off that and by the time you do, there would probably have been loads of other, better things you could have bought for 2 million coins. What a joke. Think the Farmville boffins up in their offices are having a right old laugh at us… “They want coin items… let’s give them coin items…” IDIOTS!
Posted on June 28th, 2010 at 10:03 am
PLEASE AN OPTION TO BUY FOR FC KUZ WITH 49 PLOTS I WILL HAVE THE PEASENT IN 30 YEARS OR SOO XDDDDD !PLEASE HAVE SOME SENSE THE BIRT ITS WORTH 2 VILLAS ARE U STUPED WEE WANT COIN ANIMALS BUT 50.000 MAX NOT JOKING JUST LIKE STALION FOR 5 MINS
Posted on June 28th, 2010 at 10:05 am
**** 120 YEARS TO START MAKING PROFIT SOO RIDICULUSS CANT EVEN BELIVE IT XD
Posted on June 28th, 2010 at 2:55 pm
The pheasant must do something we don’t know about yet. Otherwise the price is inexplicable, but maybe that is the joke and I find it pretty funny. I can just see them in a meeting…”let’s release a 2 million $ pheasant”, they must have been rolling on the floor, and then they actually did it, bravo Farmville. If you can’t see the humor in it, I can’t help you. The fact that its not a spotted owl or a bald eagle, and is a common bird is what makes it funny. This is the same premise that sells ridiculously priced items in the real world, its about the status that people will perceive they will gain, not the object itself. The price and the price alone is what makes the item “valuable”. Farmville could release a 10 million $ turd, and people would buy it and tell other people to go look at the 10 million $ turd on their farm.
Posted on June 29th, 2010 at 2:15 am
to everyone who is whining about the price. Yes, it’s absurd.
But when you have 20 million cash, it is not so much. It’s just 10 percent of my bank and since i don’t buy buildings or decor that don’t do anything for me, this is fine to me. Yes, it is a silly prince, but like buying a ferrari or a bently in real life, if you have the money, the price doesn’t matter. if i didn’t spend it on this, then what?
Posted on June 30th, 2010 at 8:31 am
Hey, guess what you babies. YOU DON’T HAVE TO BUY THE BIRD! YOU DON’T HAVE TO BUY EVERY LITTLE THING ZYNGA RELEASES!!!!! Do you complain that you can’t buy a Mercedes in real life because you don’t have the cash for it? NO! Why? Because there are HAVES and HAVE-NOTS in life. Same as in Farmville! If you have the coins for it, great! If you don’t, you don’t get it until you do! Honestly, there isn’t anything Zynga does that’s going to satisfy you people!!!!!
Posted on July 3rd, 2010 at 2:00 pm
Does it really just sit there? I probably wouldn’t pay THAT much for such a tiny bird… probably.
Posted on July 5th, 2010 at 7:01 pm
Well, we did ask for coin items, so they gave us coin items.
Posted on July 5th, 2010 at 8:21 pm
How much does the phesent give you when you harvest.
Posted on July 6th, 2010 at 8:53 am
Uhh, I just did this math and…Tell me if I’m wrong, but…
92 coinst per 2 days is 46 coins per day.
2,000,000 coins / (46 coins/days) = 43,478 days = 119 years…
It would take you 119 years for this bird to earn back the money you spent on it.
Posted on July 8th, 2010 at 10:24 am
@ TOM: M POOR IN MATHS BUT LOOKS LYK UR RI8……..
THE SADDLEBACK PIG GOT ME 1,000′S OF XP WHEN I PLACED IT.WOWWW
Posted on July 9th, 2010 at 7:07 am
LOL
CALFS GIVE BETTER COINS PER SQUARE PER DAY AND THEY ARE FREE.
JOKES.
Posted on July 20th, 2010 at 12:32 pm
WTF 2 MILLIONS, I THINK THIS BIRD WILL PRODUCE GOLDEN EGGS
Posted on July 27th, 2010 at 3:57 am
I bought it today just for the xp and to have it…I dun mind the price as I have a daily income of 4 800 000 coins thanks to the Belted Cows, so i also disagree with anyone here saying that Belted Cows are to expensive…they ARE worth it!!!
Posted on July 29th, 2010 at 10:10 pm
this is gay its not king kong- for 2 million coins it should take up 20 plots
Posted on August 3rd, 2010 at 9:34 am
this animal will take 119 years to pay for itself
it is not worth it
Posted on August 17th, 2010 at 2:28 pm
Pheasant = $2,000,000 Coins
Harvest = 92 Coins every 2 days.
XP reward = 20,000
Power Leveling = Priceless
Well, I just got curious and bought a Pheasant, just for fun.
Yup, it’s a very expensive animal, for 92 coins harvest it’s just ridiculous, but, as a high level, I just noticed that once I bought it suddenly I had a lot of XP… out of nothing… then I found out that the $2,000,000 Pheasant gives 20,000 XP.
Still don’t know it that’s worth the price, since one way or another, the XP will come, but if you want to lvl up faster (for any reason), it’s fair enough the price.
Posted on August 29th, 2010 at 8:18 am
VERY funny read. you are all stupid little babies. if you don’t like the price, don’t buy it. wasn’t that simple?
Posted on October 4th, 2010 at 2:07 pm
OK, to some above posters:
First of all, whoever’s talking about inflation, and the economy, shut up. It’s a GAME. It DOESN’T HAVE a real economy. That goes for anyone else comparing this to real life, too, Ferrari metaphors included. If you feel a such a sense of attachment to a game that, when given the OPTION to make an astoundingly stupid choice, you’re so offended by this option that you feel the necessity to whine to the creators, then you have far bigger issues than not having enough coins to waste.
Second, if, within this game, you find there is some ridiculous, shoot-yourself-in-the-foot choice, DON’T MAKE IT. You wouldn’t walk off a cliff or jump into lava in platformers, so why would you make a similar choice here?
To those who are complaining about not having enough coins, forget about it. The fact that it’s not worth it to buy it has been beaten to death in this thread already. 119 years to break even, compared to 333 days with the belted cow.
To those who say they have enough money to buy it easily, why would you even want to? Spend your coins on something that’s more than 20 pixels and occasionally twitches.
And to those who are now going to compulsively save up coins and stay up nights to harvest crops to you can have this preposterous item, forget the damn pheasant and your ridiculous farm and go take a walk.
Posted on November 10th, 2010 at 2:49 am
To Kunzi:
1. With a monthly player count three times the population of Australia, it does indeed have a real economy. And if someone were smart enough they would use this resource for real world economic study. Farmville in essence has a free economy with an American style governing force (Zynga).
2. “That goes for anyone else comparing this to real life, too, Ferrari metaphors included.”-Kunzi
“You wouldn’t walk off a cliff or jump into lava in platformers, so why would you make a similar choice here?”-Kunzi
And if you don’t get it then kill yourself you idiot. Just kill yourself.
To Zynga:
1. I get it. It’s kind of funny.
2. If you ever consider a coins too FV exchange, I hope you make it ridiculous. Something like 1,000,000 to 1.
To Everyone Else:
1. It’s up to you what they do. No players = no profits. They make there money through contracts, advertising, and the saddest of all directly giving them money in exchange for pixels.
2. A woman shook here kid too death over farmville. Granted it’s not farmville’s fault. You’d already have to be messed up in the head to do that. But seriously, If you need help get it. If there’s not already a Farmers Anonymous or some other support group there will be soon.
To The “Others”:
1. Quit stalking me.
2. When you catch the error, hand it over to Archer for disposal.
3. Yes, I’m insane.
Posted on January 16th, 2011 at 1:16 pm
Hey people,
2 millions coins its nothing, you just gotta find the tricks, i get 100 millions coins a day and im in level 205. i passed 20 levels everyday so thats 2 millions XP and keep going, so you just gotta look for all clues,
Posted on April 11th, 2011 at 8:13 am
#18: @Dan: yup, it will take about 100 years
