FarmVille Premium Mystery Babies & Premium Tree Seedlings Arrive!

Update 08/06/12: The Premium Mystery Babies and Premium Tree Seedlings have been temporarily removed from the FarmVille Market due to a glitch that allowed you to purchase them for “free” if you had a zero Farm Cash balance on your FarmVille farm.
FarmVille sneakily released the Premium Mystery Babies and Premium Tree Seedlings! If you are having trouble locating the Premium Babies or Seedlings, try keyword searching “Premium” in your FarmVille Market.
We first told you about the new Premiums earlier this week on FarmVilleFreak.com. So now that they are here, what exactly is a Premium Mystery Baby or Premium Tree Seedling and what makes it Premium?
Premium Mystery Babies and Premium Tree Seedlings can be purchased in the FarmVille Market for 2 Farm Cash each. Once you purchase one, you can then grow it to its maturity the same way you would with normal babies or seedlings using Animal Feed or Watering Cans. However, Premiums will require additional Animal Feed and Watering Cans than non-premium babies and seedlings. You will need 40 Animal Feed for each Premium Mystery Baby and 20 Watering Cans each for Premium Seedlings.
Now, more importantly, what do they grow up to be? Here comes the good stuff- once you have enough items to grow-up the Premium Baby or Seedling you are “guaranteed” to get either something that you do not already have or something that you still need to Master.

This is pretty rad… and totally do-able, I’ll have to try it out…
…my only fear is that Zynga will tell us all later this week that we can somehow get these without paying FC and I’ll have spent a bunch. I’ll probably buy the animal one only, for the time being.
I’m very nervous when Zynga fails to inform us of a release.

I bought 2 of these premium babies, and got:
Pink Cat (which i have)
and
Santa Kangaroo (which i also have)
What they don’t tell you is you will get an animal you don’t have “ON THAT FARM” …and we all have 5+ farms now right? So basically this is a waste of time… and FC.
I would hold off on getting one of these until more reviews come in.

i have a few questions >w<
do the trees/animals pick what they're growing into *after* they've been grown, or as soon as you purchase them?
are they going to disappear after a time or are they permanent now?
and then all my questions about things that aren't the premium trees my head feels like it's guna pop QQ
but if I could get an answer to these two, that'd be great!

Have used one premium seedling and won’t be doing it again, complete waste of watering cans. It gave me a Giant Asian Birch which I have an orchard full of. Blah

I bought a premium baby and got a foal I didn’t already have (a mini hulu foal or something like that). To get a guarenteed new species for 2 farmcash isn’t a bad deal.

another BS idea by Zynga, I bought a premium seedling and it gave the tree I sold because its I already mastered it and its the old pink gem tree. Nice cheat Zynga..

What a rip off. I paid the 2 FV for a Premium Mystery Baby and 40 bags of feed and 2 FV $ later, I got a BROWN DUCK. WHOOPEE ZYNGA. NO THANKS. NOT AGAIN.

This would be better if you got something that you did not have that needed to be mastered.I don’t know about other farmers but once I master something I sell it to make space.I bought one seedling and got something I already mastered but sold.It’s not worth it to me to spend FC for something I already had.

These are a bargain I bought 3 and got 3 new animals that would have cost alot of FVC. Out of one I even got a Rose Pegacorn which originally cost 45FVC!

Just purchased and harvested Premium Tree Seedling and it is one I have already completely mastered so it is not something new or not mastered.

Love it! Absolutely love it! I got 2 animals I did not have and 2 trees I didn’t have. Believe me when I say I have almost all the animals and trees so I was very pleased with these.
For those who don’t buy FV$$ remember you can get some by doing the “Get FarmVille Cash” surveys, quizzes, videos, etc., that appear on the bottom of the game screen. I often get 6-9 FV$ everyday this was. And SDB do give water and feed. It’s a no-brainer!!

I won’t be doing the so called premium seedlings and babies again. I bought 5 seedlings and 2 babies and got trees I already had and the babies weren’t worth the FV cash I spent for them. Also the trees take 20 watering cans and the babies take 40 feed.

LOOOOVE this! Most the Mystery Baby.. Have tried 3, and got VERY good animals, a Headdress Horse, an Ox, and a ballarina foal!
But, the seeding gave me a tree i could make.. Have the level 1 tree of it..

Love it. Now I can complete my wilderness slowly but yes. Farmville should also make some buildings permanent like the shamrock barn and shed along with many LE decoration. However Farmville should also end some features like candy castle parts etc so that we can have less problem

Farmville, you need to fix the names and colors of the rams and ewes in the Sheep Pen on the home farm or at least show the names and pictures of the correct types of sheep that would go into it.

I tried a mystery baby and got a lantern pig, newer animal with a cost of 16FC. Seems to be worth it to get a few of these. Does anyone know if they produce …horses/foals … after all they do say “any animal that you don’t have”

i liked it so much that i bought 10 premimum mystery babies and each one of them were something i didn`t have before…i even got a unicorn which normally costs 35-40 fv….i am very happy with my purchases….

it’s a load of crap. at least…right now it seems to be. i just bought a sapling (i’m a tree nut…i’ve mastered all but about 30 trees they’ve ever put out and keep all of them on my farm!) took the 20 watering cans to grow it, and i get a big july balloon. i’ve already MASTERED that AND i have it on my farm. aarrgghh!!

This is really great thing that I even spent all my FC for Premium babies
I bought 7 of them and got 2 horses, 2 foals, rabbit, dog and chicken (all new for me). Sadly it’s not for coins

Anyways, you can get some pretty awesome **** from this. Also, its only 2 farmcash. I mean they give us 2 free farmcash all the time with their special offer things.

I bought a premium seedling. I couldn’t wait to see what kind of tree that I don’t have I was going to get! After 20 cans of water I got a……VERA WOOD TREE!!! True I didn’t have one, because I mastered them and sold them a long, long time ago!!!!!! RIPOFF!!!

I bought about 25 of these premium seedlings. I got about 18 trees I didnt have and the rest were already mastered. I did get doubles of two trees that I didnt have. Didnt understand why the double up. All in all I’m ok w/ the ratio of trees I needed vs trees I mastered.

So it seems that the animals are a better investment than the trees judging from the comments. Stay away from the trees and you should be ok…as long as you don’t mind spending 40 feed to grow it.

Wish I’d read the comments before I wasted the FC! Bought 3 saplings, first one was VERY nice, a Tempskya tree (never owned one before). Second and third were ridiculous… A purple bubblegum tree which i have an orchard full on my other farm, and a chicle tree. What a WASTE! I wrote to Zynga to complain. DON’T WASTE YOUR FC!

I cal BS on this feature! I foolishly bought a premium tree seedling and it grew up o be anhaas avocado tree! Mastered (and deleted) my avocado trees months ago. TOTAL RIPOFF!!!

IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY FOR PREMIUM MYSTERY SEEDLINGS/BABAIES YOU CAN GET THEM FOR FREE PROVIDING YOU HAVE 0 FARM CASH. JUST CLICK ON WHICHEVER YOU WANT AND IT WILL STILL SUBTRACT FROM YOUR ACCOUNT (FOR EXAMAPLE IF YOU HAVE 0 FARM CASH AND PURCHASE A PREMIUM MYSTERY SEEDLING IT WILL SHOW AS -2 FARMCASH) IT WILL THEN GO BACK TO ZERO WHEN YOU REFRESH THE GAME. REMEMBER YOU MUST HAVE 0 FARM CASH FOR IT TO WORK.

The new premiums are awesome! I’ve gotten some gorgeous trees out of it. Am anxious for the glitch to be fixed so I can get more. Definitely worth the farmcash to get them.

I LOVED them. Don’t know when they quit and I’m hoping they bring them back. I got quite a few of the trees and a couple of the babies. I got some awesome trees including a Big Rainbow Cotton Candy and a Giant Pink Pearl. I was planning on adding to my orchards but now it’s gone. Well that’s ok, guess it’s back to the “lottery” of mystery seedling off the news feed!! I usually get some pretty awesome trees that way too.

I just hope all the complaining doesn’t keep Zynga from bringing them back. At ONLY 2 farm cash I don’t see why there are so many complaints. Especially by people crying ripoff because they got a tree they already mastered and SOLD. It says you’ll get a tree you don’t have. If you sold it, you don’t have it!!! I wish people didn’t have to complain so much and ruin things for the rest of us. And to the person that complained about getting trees they already had and said they complained to Zynga, maybe the complaining is the problem. I got a tree I already had several of. Went on the support site, got on the live chat, told the person I got a tree I already had and they gave me a choice of a free tree that I didn’t have. So I guess it’s all in the approach.
