FarmVille Releases Snowball Fights & Snowman!
It’s snowball fight time! What is a better way to celebrate the holidays than covering your neighbors with snow?
The FarmVille Snowman feature seems to be making a debut this evening, and is slowly being rolled out. Please note that not all farmers have access to it.
With all the snow you will collect from this Snowball Fight, it is time to start building a Snowman!
FarmVille Start Snowball Fight Notice
Simply visit your neighbors farms and start throwing your snowballs. The more snow you get, the more it will help you to build your own Snowman!
FarmVille Snowman Placement Mode Notice
To begin with, a Pile of Snow is automatically given to all farmers which you are required to place on your farm in order for you to start building your Snowman.
FarmVille Build Snowman Screen
Once this Pile of Snow is placed on your farm, you will be shown the following screen. You will need to collect 10 Piles of Snow thrown at you by your neighbors. Piles of Snow can also be collected by throwing snowballs at your neighbors. You will also need 1 Snowman Scarf to finish building your magical Snowman.
You can collect building parts by publishing feeds on Facebook and asking your neighbors. You can also purchase these building parts by spending Farm Cash.
- Piles of Snow are 1 Farm Cash each
- Special Snowman items are 2-3 Farm Cash
- Magic Hat is 10 Farm Cash
This amazing Snowman has 4 different stages to reach its highest level of completion.
FarmVille Snowman Stages
The following are the stages of the Snowman along with the parts required for its construction:
- Smiling Snowman – 10 Piles of Snow & 1 Snowman Scarf
- Dapper Snowman – 5 Piles of Snow & 3 Snowman Buttons
- Dancing Snowman – 2 Piles of Snow & 1 Magic Hat
Farmers will be happy to know that you can have more than one Snowman on your farm, but you can only build one Snowman at a time.
And finally, to save the best news for last – the Snowman is also harvest-able! What can it be harvested for, you ask? Watering cans! On the official FarmVille forums, Stumpgrinder says:
“Once a day you’ll also be able to harvest the Snowman for Watering Cans—the higher the tier, the more Watering Cans you can get out of it.”

When someone completes the scard part of the building process, they get to share scarves with neighbors. That’s how I got mine, and I shared with others after I used it.

I’ve thrown at least 20 snowballs at neighbors but I never get any snow for my snowman….also had a lot thrown at me, and still…no snow.

Visited tons of friends’ farms and don’t have any snow piles… do you have to post on their walls and have them retaliate in order to get any snow piles back? Or can you just throw a snowball to get a snow pile?

Two things:
1. No one is shown when I go to ask someone for a scarf…before it showed two people who have never played Farmville…so I sense some issues with this.
2. You can only get piles of snow when people throw snowballs at YOU. Doesn’t matter how many snowballs YOU throw, you will only get them from your neighbours.

I am glad I am not the only one seeing that in the market! It says locked and when you hover over it “license needed”. But there is no other info.
Apparently back in May they did a promo with 7-11. You bought certain items and got a code to grow the berries. If they are bringing it back, I hope they use a different store. No 7-11s around here.

I placed my snowman liked prompted but when I went back after throwing snowballs at many neighbors, it was gone? What the heck? Now what am I supposed to do? Hope they fix this soon. Always glitches when a new item is released.

my snowman isnt working at all, i can ask for snowpiles and scarfs and it allows me to ask active players but i cant accept them! im not willing tp spend my fv cash only because it could be glitchng that too. most of my neighbors have theirs done =[ mine isnt wokring so sad its so cute!!

The only thing that bugs me … when I visit a neighbour’s farm my avatar takes the place of that farms avatar, so when I throw the snowball, it hits me instead of my neighbour

This is pretty fun! And it’s kind of refreshing that it kind of slows down in demands of materials for a change.

Well, the watering cans are GREATLY NEEDED as 10 cans per seedling is really excessive.
HOWEVER- Looks like many are going to be stuck unless they want to pay farmcash.
When ya get to the buttons, you can ask for some- but it only lets you do it from a few specific people. – two of mine no longer play FV.
&& When you get to the top hat, it’s either 10 FC or you can post a help link from someone who doesn’t play FV all together- no way I’m getting a can from her.
Way to go, Zynga. You turned a good idea, IMO, into a really crappy one by making the ultimate completion really hard & probably impossible for most.

Up till now, I haven’t disliked anything about FV. This is ridiculous tho. I want to ask the people who play as much as me to help build the snowman, not continue to bother people who don’t play FV at all or very little. If there wasn’t a pony reward involved I wouldn’t continue this at all.

and my orchard is f***k up i tried to get a tree out of it but iwhen i do i could see the tree is still there and when i replace it with another tree it says there are only 3 out of twenty trees in the orchard which is impossible because my orchard is full!! anyone else having this problem??

I’ve asked my side accounts to send me the materials, and now, I’ve got 2 dancing snowmans… Should I build more? And will it still yield watering cans after the snowball fights feature has been disabled?

Why can’t we ask the people WE want to ask for ie Buttons. The (3) people you choice don’t play the game often enough and now it’s grey out and i can’t ask anyone that I know will send them. I agree,why do we have to request from people that don’t play, and why does it have to post to their wall? I have lost 5 hats. I accept and can’t find it in my gift box. Also lost several snow globes and a gingerbread arch. Haven’t been successful in contacting Zynga. Whenever I send an email…it gives me “unable to process at this time” message and they still haven’t answered my email from days ago. I’m never going to be able to finish . We can only harvest once a day for 1 watering can? and we need 10 for each seedling????????

QUESTION:
When I build my snowman and then for the scarf, at the first stage, when I go to ask my friends, well they send me the scarf but whenever I go to accept it it won’t show up in my gift box, and now I just tried my other friend and before I could even post on his wall, it says cannot post to this user’s wall.. WTF? So now I’m out of help for my scarf..
so that’s it, I won’t be able to ask again..for some weird reason I’m only able to ask these 2 friends..
This is so retarded it’s farmville’s fault I wasn’t able to get my scarf, it never showed up in my gift box after I accepted it.

well thats it for me,I QUIT!..after then send me a list of two people to request the buttons for the snow man..these two people havent played in months..so i break down and spend the 6 FV cash for the buttons..i figured i had to have 3 and they only sent me a list of 2 people to ask..
for the hat they sent me 1 person to ask and she hasnt played this game since back in march..so i opted to buy the hat untill i saw it was 10 FV dollars then i would have to also purchase the next tier of stuff as well! im finished with farmville..im finished with facebook,sharing my information with out my consent,Forcing me to spend cash on so called free items..
refusing to ban people for sending hack programs to me in my mail..there are at least 9 in there right now.all have been reported and yet i get at least 2 a week since i bought poker chips from zynga..thx for the great website and ill see all you freaks in another world

You know what kills me? This is supposed to be the #1 unofficial “fan” site for Farmville. Except, all I see are rants and complaints about how nothing works right for them and how Zynga can’t seem to do anything right. So where are the fans?
I get it. You’re upset that it’s not working right. Well, from my experience, most of the problem falls back to something with the users computer. I had issues of missing gifts and disapearing items, but those problems ended when I switched to using my Laptop. Everytime I use the desktop, which uses the same OS and browser, gifts were not showing up in the gift box after it says I accepted it. Most of the time, people just need to clean out the cache and history to resolve many of the problems.
Now, instead of complaining to a bunch of people who cannot do anything for you and are only more willing to agree with you and fuel your fire, try considering the company. They are working to put together a game that you can play without paying for it. Any payments made are voluntary. In the U.S., we have an economy that allows you to choose from any multitude of games and services. In a sense, you get what you pay for. So, if you want an error free gaming session, purchase something from Walmart or Target or any other retail outlet and play the game by yourself on your computer. If you choose to play a FREE game on a platform that is inheritently prone to errors, then expect some flaws.
Thank you Zynga for providing me a game, a service and some fun.

I clicked on someone that sent me buttons, and then it went right to the farm where the button did not show up. Lost again. That is the second time this has happened. You are using people that do not play any longer.
Where are my lost items going. Gift box is not full so can’t use that as the problem.
When we click on an item, it should go directly in to the box. Snow ball fights are a waste of time. You get nothing for it. I have done it so many times.

I can’t get buttons. This bites. It shows for my mom who plays and another friend to send me buttons. Then the last is a non active fv player. Both active players tried to send buttons but wouldn’t let them, it went straight to fv without sending me my buttons. I WILL NOT PAY fv cash for them. So how the heck else am I supposed to get em, if it won’t let my friends send them????

Still not receiving snowballs, so can’t get through the first tier. I have notifications of getting hit with them all the time–count so far is 24. Yet my snowman says I’ve only gotten one. And I only have one person to ask–yet he hasn’t played since God was a child.

Yup… been stuck at three snow piles for at least a week, even though I’ve taken several snowballs in the face. I’ve also hit friends with several snowballs over and over. Just not working for me.
I also thought we were going to be able to harvest presents from our friends’ Winter Workshop like the Halloween Haunted House. I think all my friends are trying to save up for the horse, so NO ONE is redeeming anything, so no gifts for me on Christmas.
Its Christmas… the horse should have simply available without such a high cost.

The snowman feature needs to be fixed. Have many snow fights on the go, throwing and receiving and not receiving any snow to build my snow man, can only seem to ask the same three people for snow, once asked cannot ask again.
Have used some of my Farmville Cash to build him up, which now seems like a waste if I can’t finish him.

When I send the buttons to my friends, they say, did not receive. I also have not received. I think there are some problems in the transition of feeds. Or May be Fv is trying to force member s to buy them with Farm Cash.

I don’t use the cheat engine, but Gamers Unite has a link for the different snowman items. The 3 people I’m supposed to ask for the buttons haven’t replied since the time this was introduced. I found the link and sent the request to more than the 3 that I need, and I already got one. I sent the request very recently. I’m hoping to have all three by tonight. I think that that’s the best method until Zynga changes that frustrating request to at least rotate neighbors daily.

Does anyone know…
will the snowmen continue to harvest for watering cans past the now 10-day deadline?
Just wondering if i should build a few more before they become unavailable. I now have over 200 seedlings and those are just from my own orchards; I never take them from the news feed. I hate the idea of having to gift or beg for all of those watering cans.

I need a snowball tree to complete a quest but I don’t have the tree and it’s not available in the market.
