Rio The Movie Invades FarmVille!

Tonight, Rio The Movie invaded FarmVille! In a promotion for the movie’s release this Friday or April 15th, Rio is celebrating with its own Rio themed FarmVille farm. The farm is pictured above, click the picture to enlarge and get a bigger view. Have you noticed how these promotional farms are getting more elaborate?
FarmVille Rio Farm Blue Help Notice
Upon visiting the Rio farm you will get a notice (pictured above) that asks you to help Blu find his way home. Blue is a domesticated blue Macaw that unfortunately never learned how to fly and because he’s lost in Rio he needs our help getting home. To help him learn to fly simply click the green “Help Out!” button. Easy enough!
FarmVille Rio Farm Blu Helped Notice
As a reward for helping Blu and visiting the Rio farm, he has given us two exclusive prizes. The exclusive free items include one Beach Glider decoration and a Rio Grow which works as InstaGrow! After you claim your free items, they will go directly to your FarmVille Gift Box.
You can visit the Rio Farm by scrolling to the far right of your in-game neighbor menu. The Rio Farm will be the last “neighbor” on your list. To visit the farm simply click the Rio icon.

I don’t get any popup or notice when I visit the farm. Is this a U.S. only promotion? why put the farm in our game if we can’t claim the rewards?

The ocean looked awesome, it would look great on a farm.
Also loved the little beach volleyball game. I’d buy that, looked quite funny with the sheep playing as the ball!!

I think Farmville needs more “water” related items. Its dumb to have to use blue haybales to simulate rivers and lakes.

i appreciate pretty much anything they give us …it IS a FREE game after all. anyone would like the insta-grow, the glider… some will like and some will sell. either way it’s a bonus.
i do agree it would be really fun if the bird on a perch, the volleyball, the ocean, etc were available. for COINS hehe,,
also @JD #22 i agree i’ve been wishing for FV to come out with stream/river-type items. maybe it will come about as part of a theme sometime…?

For being a glider, the bird should be underneath the wings. The glider looks more like a psychiatrist couch, and the bird is crackers.

after going to the Rio farm my English pub doesn’t work anymore…get out of sync when trying to get goods or finish goods….anyone have that after visiting the Rio farm or it was just my timing and nothing to do with Rio?

That Rio farm had nothing to do with the problems on your English Pub. I had similar problems before the Rio farm ever came out. You may want to submit a help request with Zynga if that doesn’t resolve itself.

Hmmm…. Once again, it would have been nice for Zynga to make this promotion open to all. I’m guessing it was another USA only promo as the Rio Farm never appeared at the end of my friends list. I could have done with an “insta-grow”! Still, good on you for those of you who had this opportunity offered to them!

I love the moat, altho it drove me crazy trying to put it togethor. I am still not done. there are a couple of ways that the moat pieces will link perfectly so you just have to decide where you want it and how you want it to flow. DONT FORGET, IF YOU PUT IT ALL TOGETHOR YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT ALL APART TO MOVE IT! I sort of forgot that when I made all this room to build it! Duh, and people it coins!!!! Love the british bull dog in the lawn chair also coins! Pig breeding next! I lvoe trying all the stuff they throw at us. I deleted any sheep that I bred that were ugly and just kept the cute ones. The pigs oughta be cute, baby pot bellies, etc…. cant wait. I also love the ocean on the Rio farm for coin they should have like they did for the moat, in sections you can buy parts of the ocean. HINT HINT ZYNGA!!!
