Most of you may remember the Turkey Costume Prize that FarmVille was offering a few days ago inthe Thanksgiving Feast. Similarly, another cool new prize will be made available for farmers who manage to collect a high number of gifts for their Christmas Tree.

I wasn’t too exciting about the Thanksgiving prizes really, but i LOVE the winter ones! I am so happy with this special horse option, even tho 500 is a lot, its something to look forward to!

all stallions can be used the same way Kourtenay, whether they are black, white, mini or the snow stallion.
I keep getting pop ups saying that I have enough to redeem for sneezy sheep, ornament tree, ice house, etc. etc. but when I click on “accept” it just takes me to what’s inside the tree and there is nothing like that in there. Mine only goes up to 50 presents for the elf gnome. Does this change later when you get more gifts? Or is it just me and all of you can see those thing in your tree? How can I redeem for those things if it’s not in there? Is this a glitch?

First this FV Freak calls it a horse which in Zynga talk is a mare…..then FV Freak calls it a stallion. Doesn’t look like a Zynga Farmville stallion….looks like a mare. I will have to see to believe it is not a mare.

I was skeptical that this adorable horse could be had for 10 gift whimsy box… but… I opened one measly whimsy box on my hubby’s farm this morning (and he’s a newbie with like 13 gifts), and shazaam… it was a snow stallion… seriously! However, when I went to my farm and redeemed all of my gifts for whimsy boxes (sparadicaly, not all at one time) – I got jack s*it – just a bunch of feed (for the trough which I deleted weeks ago), pengiuns, and some cash prizes. Whom whom whommmm.
I am very grateful that zynga has finially put something worthy out there that can be gotten for fv coins, AND I will keep trying to get one through the whimsy box – maybe just not spending all the gifts at once that took me all evening to collect – lol

You have to “pruchase” gifts from your tree – Everytime I redeemed a gift, a screen automaticaly popped up to select 5 friends to send a gift (the kind that ya can’t open till the 25th) to. I have only purchased whimsy boxes so far, but I’m sure it works with any of the items you redeem…
Also, does anyone have scoop on when we can start harvesting neighbors’ workshops?

Okay you now get 1FV$ everytime you level up. No matter what the level. Only problem when you refresh it disappears. And no this isn’t just an over 100 problem because my friend said her cash for leveling up to level 20 dissapeared when she refreshed

This stinks!!! I finally got my first Stallion (mini Black) and now they are gonna give them away for free??? The only reason everyone wanted them so bad, was because not everyone had one.. Now foals are gonna clog the news feed more common than mystery eggs.. I understand giving the players what they want, but this will not make the foals special any more. Plus, with all of the people that spent a LOT of money to get their stallion are gonna be pi$$ed!!!

Sweet!! I love this!! I’m sad that I just wasted 60 FV failing to get a mini black stallion that I didn’t like anyway, when if I had even just waited until the end of the mystery game week instead of doing it immediately, I could have spent it on 2 cool mares to breed instead, but I’m so excited about this!! 500 is a lot of presents for most people, but for a very awesome prize, so that seems fair to me. It’s not like anyone couldn’t get wandering stallions if they had enough friends willing to post them. Although it does seem really lame to me if you can get them out of the whimsy boxes for as little as 10 presents. I’m going to try to save up 500 if I can, and buy it that way just to be sure.

I got mine with the whimzy box too, just 10 presents traded, and the very first thing I traded!!! I was sooo suprized! I used a few FV cash to get that mini stallion like everyone else, it doesn’t bother me a bit that I got this “free”!!! I now have 6 stallions to work with!!!

$77 for one horse??? Are you kidding me!?!? This is outrageous. Yeah, I know that’s the cost to buy 500 presents, but how are us normal people who don’t go to the forums and add 1000 friends gonna even reach that kind of number for presents. But seriously the $77 price tag is outlandish. I’d rather go to the nicest steakhouse in town and buy a $77 steak then spend that money to pay Zynga for something that has ZERO value after you buy it.

I completely agree with Jason C. I think it’s awesome that they’re finally making it a little easier to get a stallion, but they are most definitely taking away the whole excitement over having one in the first place…. The fact that not many people did made it special. And I would say that about 75% of players will now own one. Not hard at all to get up to that amount of gifts. I had over 500 gifts in less than 36 hours and only have about 60 neighbors. And even for people with less neighbors, it wouldn’t matter much because we still have a whole 2 or 3 weeks to collect. I think that the stallion was still great to give us as a reward, but think they should have made it much more difficult to get, to keep the rarity. Like maybe once we’ve hit 1000? Seems like a lot, but do-able, just difficult which is the whole point.

@26 (Moonix), I’m not sure Zynga will need to jack up the price of horses due to this, though I agree with you it’s a clever ploy by Zygna. I, myself, have never purchased horses before, yet now might consider doing so if I know I have my own stallion. I’m sure others will think likewise, thus increasing revenue for Zynga on sales of horses without having to increase their prices.
@34 (Jason C), I doubt the feed will be “flooded” with foals for the same reasons as above. There’s not much point breeding loads of foals if you only have the basic horses, so whilst owning a Stallion will encourage some of us to purchase special horses to breed, there will still be plenty of players who refuse to spend FV cash on them. There will be an increase in foals, but not an influx!

Im going to get a million dislikes for this but i could care less. This is one thing that i think they should have left farmcash. Thats what makes farmville so fun is trying to collect the rare foals from peoples posts and now that everyone has the opportunity to get a stallion (and most will considering you have a month to collect just 500 gifts) its not really that special anymore because like someone said above now that people have stallions users will be more tempted to buy fc horses. Dont get me wrong im all for them providing things for coins but this is something that should have been left to the people that buy farmcash.

Brittany, I am very excited that my neighbors who don’t have a permanent stallion and have to hunt of the Wandering Stallion can now get a permanent stallion for free, no Farm Cash or coins needed. I am very happy for THEM. Wandering Stallions are not common to the farm, at least not to mine, so my neighbors can’t be sure of getting a stallion to get the foals, so this is great for them. And I already have two White Stallions and now I have the Snow Stallion. I change my stallions every day. I pay for the Farm Cash to buy the rare horses and cows and I don’t mind if my neighbors get the same things for free. It gives me more of a chance of getting those same rare foals and calves that my neighbors get from me.

Does anyone know what else can be found in the Winter Whimsy box? I saw all the comments about the Snow Stallion, so that’s what I tried. Lucky me, it only took two: the first had a penguin. The second had the stallion. My sister bought a Winter Whimsy box, and she got the Ice House.
What else comes in those boxes? Any other big ticket items, like the fox? (I like the fox.) I would guess so, since the Ice House came out of one, but I wonder if anyone else can contribute to the list of mystery prizes!

JasonC – maybe you wanted a stallion because everyone didn’t have one but my friends and I have stallions so we can make foals for all our friends and they make it for us.. that’s where the fun lies.. not about having something others don’t… there’s more ways to have fun playing this game then being competitive… breeding is about giving to your friends not making them jealous that you have a stallion and they don’t.

SuzieO- I kinda agree with you.. I was simply stating a fact about supply and demand. In the past it was soo ecxiting producing and getting rare foals. Next month, when we all have 20 pinto pony foals, 20 gypsy foals, 20 clydsdale foals, 20 candy cane foals, etc. etc. They won’t be special anymore. You can click on any item on this site and see 100′s of post people begging for a stallion. Last week when they first put the mini black stallion in the mystery game, people were so desparate for a stallion that they were willing to pop every baloon. I had to pop 7 before I got mine. That is almost $20.00… Thank god for the 40% off sale and the free darts… lol I feel bad for the people that threw 20 darts, and then the VERY next week, they give them away for free.

The thing with everyone having a stallion doesn’t necessarily mean that all the foals will become common. Some of their mares are unobtainable as of now (not to say that won’t change in the future) …so some of those foals will still be rare. Most people who are getting this free stallion will probably also be people who don’t spend money on FV at all, and thus won’t buy the mares in the future either. The other half probably don’t know how to force-breed or care to spend the time doing it. They will just stick it in their stable and harvest once a day and be glad they no longer have to hunt down wandering stallions. My theory is that people who would breed in mass scale like that, are the same people who already spent $50+ getting a stallion prior to this event anyway.
If anything we might see an increase in brown, grey and black foals. :p
Besides, it’s not like we’re *losing* anything from more people having stallions – because we didn’t really *gain* anything to begin with. Most people do it because they enjoy the chance of it, the sharing of it and just the hobby-collector fun of it. None of that will change.
Let’s not forget this is actually a holiday event, and one in which the spirit of giving and goodwill should be a central theme. :p

Is anyone else having problems with the Holiday Tree. Since i started filling it with presents i keep getting that ‘”Dont exit the browser, your farm is updating or w/e it is” I’ve now had to re harvest my crops like twice each time i plant something. And last night after i re-harvested i must have still gotten the sign because this morning they are all withered……..

Dandylion- YES, it is FREE!!! It does not cost Farm Cash… After soo people spent 50+ real dollars to get a stallion. I’m just saying, I feel bad for them, this is just like the 50% off sale after everyone paid full price for the Halloween stuff… And no, I don’t think it is easy to get 500 gifts in a few days…..but to get 500 in 3 weeks is EXTREMELY easy!!

1. I have the stallion. He works just like the rest of them and will give white gypsy foal.
2. I paid 500 gifts to redeem him, NO cash!
3. I have all the horses of the game, and I dont feel ripped off because Zynga finally decided to do something good for their players.
Many of my neighbors are dying to breed but dont spend real money, why should they not still enjoy the pleasure?

I am very happy that Farmville is giving players a permanant stallion that does’t cost farmcash. I just got my first stallion a few days ago, the black mini. I don’t mind that the snow stallion is for everyone, i collect the horses so I would have purchased this horse as a mare.

Dandylion it is FREE because paying the 500 farmcash for it is only an option for those who don’t want to wait or take the time collecting the 500 gifts.
But virtually every person on fv has the ability to collect the 500 and most will within the next few days. About half of my neighbors already have between 200-500, and it’s only been 2 days. I got the stallion in a day and a half. I do wish that they would not have put the black mini stallion in the mystery game directly before this even though. I popped 17 balloons to get it, and there’s no way I would have if I’d have known that just a few days later this snow stallion would have been available for no money at all, just taking the time to collect some gifts. I’m glad I have one, but it’s really not fair that most who got the black mini spent a good chunk of change and we now learn that we really didn’t need to =)

I just cashed in 500 presents for the Snow Stallion, which is cool — what’s NOT cool is FV says I could pick someone to share this gift with, but when the page comes up to select a recipient, It says I can pick 0 (as in ZERO) persons to receive it. What the heck? I am still happy I got a stallion (esp. after wasting WAY too many mystery darts trying in vain to get the mini one), but it it still a bummer I can’t share it like FV stated I could.

Dandylion- I understand what you are saying, but as I said before: The biggest reason everyone wanted a stallion, is because they could’t get one. So finally zynga puts them in the mystery game, people throw countless darts to get their stallion. They get a stallion and they are happy!! (unhappy if they didn’t) Then 6 days later, they make them available for free? Do you not see how that would upset people that spent their hard earned money to get one?? NOBODY would have thrown a single dart, if all you had to do was wait another week. Most people have wanted a stallion for months.(myself included)

Well, I got the black mini by throwing a few darts and then there is this one. I collected and traded in the five hundred and sent one to a friend with no problem. I’m glad there are others that will have a stallion now. But I don’t see everyone buying the horses so they will still be rare. I have wanted a stallion for a long time and I am thrilled others will be able to have one now.

I’m hoping to hit 500. My husband only has 87 Thanksgiving dishes as of today. He’s still collecting fruitcakes. So for those that think that this is some free for all giveaway of stallions, please remember that not everyone has people they don’t know in real life as neighbors, nor does anyone play FV “commando style”! LOL

Already have mine, and have around 10 foals, it’s old news. But, it’s still awesome news, nonetheless. When has Zynga EVER been this generous? I’ll tell you: NEVER. So, get hunting for those holiday gifts, at least they don’t cost a ridiculous 20 FV Cash each turn, like mystery gift. I will only be concentrating on getting Snow Stallions, as they’re hard as hell to breed, it’ll be easier with more of them in my stable. Besides, other than the horse statue, nothing else is really of any worth. My goal is to arm a lot of my neighbours with shared stallions, so zynga can’t play the old ’20 fv cash a pop’ trick, lols.

@ SHUN-NEE – I only have one winter stallion in my stable and was able to produce 6 of them, out of the 32 foals my horses produced today.. I don’t think it’ll be that hard to breed, unless you have more of a particular horse than the others. Good luck though!

I don’t have Gamers Unite or the snag bar myself and still got my stallion in a short amount of time. Just go back through posts and get what I missed while I was away… Most of the gifts are still there. So I don’t necessarily agree that that’s how most people are getting their gifts so quickly. I have 1 gamers unite friend on my page (family member) who I don’t delete, b/c well he’s family lol, but I do block him from most posts (as he knows) b/c it’s just not fair to my other neighbors. And he has a huge amount less than I do or most of my other neighbors. Anyone who wants to get their gift number up high enough can very well do so if willing to spend a little time =).

I agree. And more and more people are becoming aware of what Gamers Unite is which is a good thing. People add new neighbors all the time, so the best thing to do is to check to daily to see which of your neighbors have it. I use this link that’s through facebook…

Just because the stallion is free, I dont think it will make the game any less exciting. The special horses still have to be bought with fc, and not everyone is going to do it. My boyfriend has two stallions, and he only breeds his horses for the money, he gets 6000 every time he breeds, while I own alot of the fc horses and have 4 stallions. For christmas, I am very happy that zynga decided to give a stallion away. I felt very bad for alot of my neighbors that were trying to get one, and I think its an awesome idea.

At last i got stallion. it do breed like all other stallions.. but there was a back luck.. when i redeemed Snow Stallion a popup box came out and it was written select 1 friend to share this stallion with.. i clicked on accept. next popup came up with text: select 0 friends to share… lolzz.. mean they didnt allow me to share with any one.. hahaha. i dont know why it happened.. but it is not good.. i think they want to make it more harder for any one to get this stallion. they want everyone to collect it themself.. hahaha. but i am happy i got mine by collecting 500 gifts. thank you fv.

I have over 200 neighbors of mine and I spent all day Saturday collecting posts from people by clicking each one individually so I was able to get the Snow Stallion that way. I personally delete every single person who uses ANY snagbars or feed collectors. I believe this game should be played fair and I expect all of my neighbors to play the same. Simply put George… YOU ARE A CHEATER. If you don’t like being told that, don’t cheat. Anyone who uses an auto snagger takes posts away from people who play fairly and should lose their accounts.

If it is Cheating why would farmville offer a farmville issued game bar of there own to rapid accept gifts.They would have never done so if they wanted all of us to strictly use feed posts.So as far as i am concerned until the “Farmville game bar” is removed which i still have to click mind you.Then i will accept a cheater label.What makes it even funnier is there is people on you tube and here bragging about using charles proxy to actually change what comes out of eggs and mystery gifts to be whatever they want it to be.at that point it is a hack that is the only real cheating i have heard about.

George, the farmville issued game bar helps you get fuel and lets you know when your crops are ready… It does NOT collect items from each post. Gamers Unite was not “issued” by farmville, it is something completely different and is used for cheating, plain and simple. It is unfair to players who spend their actual time everyday collecting posts when you and other Gamers Unite members collect away all day long without every really having to play or be anywhere near your computer. End of story.

Got the Snow Stallion and was greatly disappointed. The Horse Barn want accept him at all, much less as a Stallion. FV needs to correct that ASAP!! What good is a Stallion if he don’t make fouls.

Yea my snow stallion redeemed 4 500 gifts worked just fine 4 the first 3 days i got it and nd i take my horses out of the stable after breeding because ive lost them being in there b4 now my stallion wont go back in either others that left their stallion in the stable has 1 or 2 things happen they 1 lost it or 2 still works fine i am a loyal horse breeder have all the mares and all stallions BUT the black mini i know alot are so upset we’re ready to quit fv is getting to b more of a headache then a fun game heck only reason i play is to help others and share ……….ZYNGA NEEDS TO RESOLVE THIS FAST!!!!

Bought 25 Winter Wimzy boxes and finally got my Snow Stallion! Went in my stable with no problem. So pretty! I was starting to worry, but it defintely beat 500 gifts
Other prizes I got were: Ice House, Penguin, Arborists, Farm Hands, 5000 Coins, Snowflake, Tinsel Tree.. all I can remember

Does anyone know if a snow stallion foal will grow up to be a stallion? Will I be able to put it in my nursery to help it grow? and then will I be able to keep it in the stable like the bull stays in the cow barn?

Everytime I try to redeem 500 pts for snow stallion, it goes in my gift box…I place him on the farm, then it says game out of sync, refresh. After refresh, stallion is gone and points are back on tree. Is he not available anymore or are you working on a fix for this??
