Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:24 pm
I’m hopen there is another way to get a Hot Rod Combine, rather then paying for it.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:27 pm
Those suckers cannot go into the Garage yet, waste of space.
Silly Zynga people.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:27 pm
Do note that, “Special Delivery” boxes now give Vehicle Parts.
I’m going to enjoy this new vehicle and hopefully use up some of my 2300 fuel.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:29 pm
does it plow, seed, and harvest the whole field in 1 click? if it doesnt than this is pointless.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:30 pm
Yes it can go in the garage after you add 40 parts it,s done upgrades are done in garage lol
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Once you buy it and build it does it cost coins to use it or is it like the stupid airplane where you have to pay cash to use it?
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:33 pm
Jaymes
yes, you choose a seed and make one click for 16 fields to redo it with the new seed…so 1min for a cycle
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:33 pm
1 click does 16 plots harvest ploughs plants but all the popups are real annoying .
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:35 pm
Worked great until OOS, then farm refuses to load due to “Invalid URL.”
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:37 pm
Seems great, but then again half the stuff on my farm does for about a week then I sell it, so…..
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:40 pm
Anyone know how much fuel they use? Do they use the same amount as would have been used if you were using a tractor, harvestor and seeder? Or do they use 1/3 the fuel? (that would be awesome – I hate running out of fuel)
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:41 pm
Farmville seems to be a bit out of sync with gifts n such. I guess they have more on than usual, as this new vehicle makes the game so much less of a hassle. The reason (I’m guessing) why a lot of people didn’t play.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:45 pm
Rob, it is supposed to use 3 units per use, so the same as doing it normally. If you run out of fuel often, just buy lots of friends goods
I have around 1600 tanks of fuel and it only goes up, lol
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:53 pm
my first upgrade was 40 parts second was 6 and third was 15
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 12:54 pm
So, after most everyone built a garage; upgraded all their vehicles . . they come out with a Super Combine? Pretty much makes the other vehichles obsolete, doesn’t it? Except for those of us who didn’t do the garage/upgrades, that is. Oh, well . .the Combine will make life easier on the farm for those that utilize it, so enjoy!
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:13 pm
best thing ever so far that fv came out with :} now they just gotta fix the bugs
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:23 pm
All questions answered here:
You have to build the coin version to the 1st stage, then you can place it in your garage to upgrade. The Hot Rod version will go right into the garage ( i have both on 2 different farms)
It uses the same amount of fuel as it would if you used all 3 vehicles separately. 1 fuel for plot per action, but in this case it would be 3 fuels per plot, since your performing three separate actions.
Yes Lynn, it makes the other vehicles, obsolete on a performance standpoint, but if your a collector, and your garage holds 20 vehicles, why not add another vehicle. I mean if you upgraded your original vehicles to max, then it would make the antique tractor and pickup obsolete too, but how many people added those ? It’s all about clloecting and FV knows this.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:24 pm
Well I won’t be getting one for some time. 500,000 coins? took me forever to get the 400,000 coins it took me to to upgrade my winery. this thing would be GREAT for the casual player that doesn’t have the time to stare at a computer all day… but those people (unless wealthy in RL) will be waiting a while to gather that much coin up…. I know. great idea… but as typical for Zynga… not very well thought out.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:31 pm
Not really a fan, but will buy one when I get more coins and eventually upgrade it. Probably won’t ever use it though.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:33 pm
So how many plots does the HOT ROD one do? Only 9???
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:45 pm
This vehicle is great! only need to click your plot once and it will harvest, plow and then plan the seed of your choice. would have liked to get the hot rod one without paying farm cash. once upgraded you can do 16 plots at a time. does anyone know if you save on fuel or does it take 48 fuel for doing the same space 3 times. i cant tell coz i got sooo much fuel
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:51 pm
Love it. Just finish building my regular one! Now working on upgrading.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:53 pm
So.
It doesn’t fit in the garage. Do we get XP on the 500.000 big ones or is it just wasted coin, like the crafting buildings?
The current 4×4 harvesting, plowing and sowing takes 108 clicks for a 24×24 plot
The combine at 3×3 takes 64 clicks for the same size and uses the same amount of fuel. Hmm. That’s a little less than twice as good.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:53 pm
Lynn, not everyone has 500,000 coins to buy it, so the other vehicles certainly aren’t obsolete.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 1:59 pm
But we don’t get as much XP using the combine as we would using the other vehicles…it sucks.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 2:04 pm
100fv for the posh one, ffs they really know how to make people waste real monies dont they lol
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 2:15 pm
Wait, we don’t get the same amount of XP?!? Screw this thing if that’s the case! Anyone have any confirmation of this?!?
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 2:22 pm
@ Aven – once you build the coin version from a frame to the complete unit (stage1), you will be able to place it in your garage to upgrade it. That takes 40 parts.
@ Johnnyafc – It costs the same price as 2 Hot Rod vehicles, but does the work of 3m so essentially, it’s decently priced.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 2:33 pm
UPDATE:
If you copy the gif above and blow it up, it is harvesting/planting/plowing 12 plots, however, it only used 12 units of fuel. If this is actually the case, it only uses 1 unit of fuel per plot vs the 3 I posted earlier, making this well worth the money spent
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 2:51 pm
@Dabeasumin — Actually, if you look closer at the gif, you will see that there are THREE different -12 FUEL popups..
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 2:57 pm
Thanks Walker, lol, I just figured that out. DOH !!!!
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 3:20 pm
I just peed my pants a little I am so excited.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 3:23 pm
Well I got excited until I came here. If you have upgraded your vehicles in the garage to the highest level, that is ALL this is. Already done, but I can say that yes it makes plowing, seeding, and harvesting SOO much faster
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
I have all the parts I need to make and upgrade, but I’m saving the coins for Halloween.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
To the people who said this vehicle makes the other plower/seeder/harvesters obsolete, I disagree. Although I really like this new item and will definately use it I still NEED my other vehicles since I am do co-op jobs right after the other. I rarely have any growing time on my fields between jobs (especially since they added the crafting co-op jobs) so I need to finish that job before I can join a new one and seed for it. So it is nice but not the only vehicle I, and others in my co-op group, will use.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 4:05 pm
normally im not upset about things farmville come out with but this was a bit of a disappointment …. i didn bother building the garage because i figured the more i upgrade my vehicles the more fuel they use (corrtect me if im rong) when i saw u didnt need to hav a garage for the combine i was extremely excited until i saw the price ! 500 thousand coins for a vehicle and it doesnt evn come fully made or use less fuel then my other vehicles im much better off with my multiple vehicles!
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 4:21 pm
@KHail
Very good point, didn’t even consider that.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 4:23 pm
@KHail,
Although this item will be awesome for when you are “cheating” in the co-op’s and have a grown field, start the co-op and then seed and plant to get a jump start on the co-op.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 4:29 pm
If you buy the coin version and fully upgrade it does it become the Hot Rod version (ie. same color scheme?) or is a different color scheme but with the same functionallity?
Also can anyone verify what Aven said in terms of XP. S/he said..
The current 4×4 harvesting, plowing and sowing takes 108 clicks for a 24×24 plot
The combine at 3×3 takes 64 clicks for the same size and uses the same amount of fuel. Hmm. That’s a little less than twice as good.
Less clicks also means less XP. Is this true? Thanks!
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 4:45 pm
Does this work on the iPhones or iPod touches?
I know I had to leave the vehicles out of the garage to use them on the touch. Now that I have an Iphone I want to be sure it works before placing it in the garage.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 5:25 pm
another reason to not use the combine. if you are going to replant with the same crop. there is a good chance you will find sme pollinated seeds in the first crop. better to do the harvest first. then seed with pollinated seeds.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 5:35 pm
@Lily I totally agree with you.The price is way too much.My other vehicles can definitely do the same job.I prefer to save my coins for Halloween and Christmas.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 8:03 pm
Love this! I was worried after reading a comment that you don’t get as much XP as you would if you used other vehicles seperately…but not so! You get the same amount of XP, plus only one click! I’m not sure how much fuel it’s using though. The only time I won’t use this is when I am finishing one co-op and joing another since I won’t know what crop I’ll want or need to plant until I join a new co-op. Great addition! And loving the fact that the special delivery box contains vehicle parts now. Thanks Farmville!
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 9:00 pm
So far mine doesn’t work….
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 9:46 pm
Best thing ever.
Posted on September 29th, 2010 at 10:52 pm
Be sure to only use it when harvesting. It will always take the amount of fuel for 3x vehicles, even if you just use it to seed.
Posted on September 30th, 2010 at 5:05 am
@ Lily, the vehicles, when using a fully upgraded vehicle doesnt use anymore fuel then a basic vehicle. The only thing is it consumes the same rate as if you were doing the same amount of plots.
Basic tractor – 1 unit of fuel per plot x 4 plots = 4 units of fuel
Level 5 tractor – 1 unit of fuel per plot x 16 plots = 16 units of fuel
If you plow 16 plots with your basic tractor, it is going to use the same amount of fuel the level 5 tractor does, you just have to click more.
The combine uses 3 units of fuel per plot as it is doing all 3 functions the other 3 vehicles are doing, but even it uses the same amount of 1 unit of fuel per plot, just 3 times faster.

Not only can I not use the new combine, seems like when I finsished it they game went crazy. Can not sell anything, can not go to neighbors without issues. Here is the real kicker was on a neighbors farm and clicked go home and left me on neighbors farm and thought I was home I was able to do anything on their farm that I could do on my own farm. Now that is scary. Some poeple having same problems since they tried to use combine. Market is messed up also buy from one and game locks up and then you get 408 Request Time-out Your browser didn’t send a complete request in time.
I have tried using Chrome and FF and no change.
Posted on September 30th, 2010 at 1:42 pm
LOV IT……..
Posted on September 30th, 2010 at 2:39 pm
It uses the same amount of fuel as all three vehicles combined, but it’s only popping up in the text like it’s using one vehicle’s worth. This thing owns! Makes it much faster to take care of harvesting now
Posted on September 30th, 2010 at 6:36 pm
I’m not getting any bushels using my combine – is anyone else experiencing this?
Posted on September 30th, 2010 at 6:37 pm
I take back what I said. LOL the combine is AWESOME! It does… harvest, plot, and plow in ONE click!
It will probably keep a lot of people farming as it is very time saving.
Hey Gblock, I asked you a question on the board where facebook was down. I asked you about your leveling up with.. beets? Did you mean sweet beets of Haiti or something else?
Thanks
Posted on September 30th, 2010 at 10:53 pm
how parts AFTER you put the combine into the garage does it take to upgrade it to the max so for example
40 just to be able to put into the garage
6 to upgrade it again
15 to upgrade again
30 to upgrade again
and thats as far as i got how many more are there? if there is any at all?
Posted on October 2nd, 2010 at 9:14 am
It appears that you do get less XP when you use the combine, at least in this situation:
I harvested my crops using the harvester first, getting the mastery/XP etc.
Then, I used the combine to plant some Peanuts which give you one XP for planting. When I used the combine to do a 2×2 plot, it used 4 units of fuel, and only gave me 4 XP. So I didn’t get the other 4 XP that I would have got from plowing those four plots first.
So, it uses less fuel, but I have 548 farming plots, so thats 548 less XP I get per harvest cycle.
I’ll stick with the old way unless they fix this.
Posted on October 2nd, 2010 at 1:33 pm
I bought the hot rod…….. it hurts my heart, so much money for it……………..
Posted on October 2nd, 2010 at 6:23 pm
It was working fine yesterday, but today I keep getting “out of sync” messages if I try to post anything (found fuel, pollinated seeds, etc.) while I’m using it. Zynga is clearly on a campaign to get us to be as selfish and unhelpful as possible, what with this and the constant freezing of the crafting buildings if you try to share bushels on your wall. Nice work, Zynga!
Posted on October 3rd, 2010 at 4:00 pm
I am not getting the correct amount of XP when using the Combine. I got 16 XP for each click. That’s it. I should have gotten 16 for harvesting ( Using a Fert-All), then 16 for plowing, then 16 or more (depending on what crop you plant). I used a 1 XP crop…so should have gotten 48 XP for each click. I won’t use the combine again until this is fixed. What a waste of coins to buy and not get the right XP.
Posted on October 4th, 2010 at 11:25 am
well i fully upgrade my super combine
it takes 40 vehical parts for putting in a garrege after buying chasis cost 50000 coins 1ST LEVEL UPGRADATION COMPLETED 2X2 = 4 PLOTS
n then
for level 2 upgradation 6 vehicalparts needed 2X3 = 6 PLOTS
for level 3 upgradation 15 vehical parts needed 3X3 = 9 PLOTS
for level4 upgradation it needed 30 vehical parts n lastely 3X4 = 12 PLOTS
for 5th and last upgradation it needed 45 vehical parts 4X4 = 16 PLOTS
MEANS TOTAL 1st+2nd+3rd+4th+5th= TOTAL VEHICAL PARTS
40+06+15+30+45 = 136 VEHICAL PARTS NEEDED FOR FULL UPGRADATIONS
AND IT WORKS AS A TRACTOR SEEDER AND HARVESTER AT THE SAME TIME AND SAVE THE TIME OF FARMING
BUT NOW UM GONNA WATCH ONE THING
THAT HOW MUCH FUEL IT TAKE FOR PLOWING, SEEDING AND HARVESTING FOR 1 PLOT
SUM OF TRACTOR+SEEDER+HARVESTER
OR ONLY OF SUPER COMBINE.
IF ANY ONE KNOWS INFORM ME ON POST
THANKS
Posted on October 4th, 2010 at 5:52 pm
Can anyone verify that the combine works on the iPhone Farmville app?
Posted on October 5th, 2010 at 9:32 am
@Praveen:
The Combine uses the same fuel as though you were using your 3 vehicles, in other words, 3 times the fuel. There is NO savings of fuel at all for using it. That makes no sense at all since it’s just one vehicle, but leave it to Zynga to find a way to take from us.
Posted on October 8th, 2010 at 7:16 am
I just build mine, it only can plow 4 squares, I have yet to upgrade it.
The question is, I used it to plant some Gladiolus and I only got 4 XP, when I should have gotten 8
4 from plowing
4 from planting
Anyone knows why?
Posted on October 13th, 2010 at 8:52 pm
Please fix the hot rod combine bugs pronto! Out Of Sync, correct XP points, etc. I paid 110FV for this???
Posted on April 10th, 2011 at 6:45 pm
I Wish They’d Make This Available For Coins If You Play Mafia Wars Like They Did All The Other Hot Rod Vehicles.
