FarmVille Unwither Clock Monthly Extension Fee

As many of you may remember the FarmVille English Countryside Unwither Clock was released shortly after English Countryside premiered. A user could purchase the Unwither Clock for 55 $FV and would provide 30 days of wither protection. For some who purchased the clock the 30 days is now up and are being offered a time extension of 30 days more of wither protection for 45 $FV.
In the past farmers have been able to purchase wither protection by one and large upfront investment of 250 $FV in an Unwither Ring. The Unwither Clock offers the same protection but will cost a farmer 45 $FV a month.
While unwither protection is very useful, it is often turned on by the Big Z for technical issues. Most recently unwither has been turned on for 4 consecutive days. Perhaps Z should refund players who made/make this monthly this investment and got the service free anyways ?

I can’t believe I can’t take my unwither ring to the english countryside; it fits in my pocket! I lost interest in it because of this.

I do not like the fee you are charging. The unwither ring was a flat fee of $30. Please think about a one time fee. Thanks

So what if my crops wither once every few months? I’m usually on top of things and on the rare occasions I have returned too late it’s not a big deal to just plow, plant and try again. I just lose some coins and it’s really no big deal. Wither protection sounds nice but definitely not worth the cost.

I don’t understand why a monthly fee should be imposed on the Unwither Clock. What’s so different about the English farm from the Home farm that an Unwither Ring can’t be purchased instead? I have the Unwither Clock, but I doubt seriously that I will renew it each month for $45 FV cash. I think this is an outrageous rip off.

just gonna start remembering to pause my English Farm when i go home….all i’m usin’ it for anyways is breedin’ friggin’ sheep like a fool…i’m avoiding the pigs….for now…..oh, AND makin’ my own love potions….

NOT worth it all all! MOST OF US PLAYERS DONT GET FV CASH ANYMORE AFTER REACHING LEVEL 100!!!! WHY NOT OFFER IT FOR COINS??

When I was a daily player I never needed it. Now that I play less I’ve had some crops wither, but I just plow and plant a new crop. That’s really a part of the problem, 45 farmville cash is pricey unless you are using it and frequent players usually don’t need it. The players who do need it probably have no interest in such an expansive form of insurance.

Bad enough I have monthly payments and bills. A monthly payment on Unwithering my plants is not right. I purchased the Unwither clock for 55FV cash. It didn’t explain at the time that it was a monthly payment. Now I’m not happy with it at all. Not good.

My pretend crops are not worth that much – I will plow them up and re-plant if needed before paying any fv cash for an un-wither anything! If you know you are going to be away, simply just plow and not plant, or plant long term seeds.. not that hard.

When I bought the clock it said nothing that I recall about it becoming a monthly fee to keep it going. I am very angry about this. I like to have the stress free gaming that a non-wither whatever thing gives me. But I won’t be renewing it again. I did this time only because I needed time to think it over. But it isn’t worth it. And it is pretty sneaky of the FV “controllers” to stab us in the back with this one. The game is already playing crappy and pissing me and my friends off. Why add another straw to the camel’s back? Summer is coming and there are so many people who just might move outside to do more fun things than being frustrated by a game!!!!!

The minute the unwither clock ♫ came out, I bought it since it was being billed as like the unwither ring and no mention of it was of any time restriction. The price was $155GP. How would one check and verify. Do you have the same clock ♫

I bought the clock about 5 minutes after it came out. It was very clear that that it was only for 30 days, that it cost 55 FVC, and was miniature in size. I really don’t know how anyone is surprised about this.
The only thing that changed is that on the 30th day after the clock’s introduction, Zynga offered players the opportunity to pay more FVC to continue wither protection.
I bought the clock as an expensive decoration that had the happy side effect of offering withering protection for the first month I owned. Beyond that, I don’t feel the need to pay more money. If I don’t plow my pixels, I mean crops, in time, than I’ll just lose a few pixel coins. I never expected, nor did Zynga ever give any reason for anyone to expect, that I was buying something similar to the Unwither Ring. The Unwither ring would be nice in EC if they ever release LE crops, but I doubt I’d spend another 255 FVC on it. I have one for my home farm and it’s nice for those times I feel like taking a break from Farmville for a week or two, and I love keeping plots of LE crops just because I can, but I can’t see the point of spending more money for the same thing in EC whether it’s a one-time charge or monthly fee.

This is something Zinga should be ashamed of putting on the market (not only for a ridiculous amount of cash but a montly payment!). It is shameless abuse of people who suffer certain anxieties.

OMG, I did not realize this clock expired in 30 days. It wasn’t clearly explained! I bought one for myself and my daughter. The way I understood it was that unlike the unwither ring, which would leave the crops unwithered forever, but the unwither clock would only unwither for 30 days. I did not see the word renewal or anything like that. I feel embarrassed and taken advantage of. I will be writng Zynga a letter of complaint about this. I would NOT have made this purchase had I known it was only for 30 days and then it became a useless decoration.

Basically I agree with everyone saying the Unwither Clock @ $55. was way too expensive. After my Country Farm Crops withered the 3rd day, I splurged & bought the clock. I will Not Renew it Monthly at any price! I will choose to Pause it & go on my way. I would like to know where the $250. Wither Ring sold for $30. what a b argain!. I have noticed that Everything on CF is much more expensive then on Home Farm. Interesting Zynga. Also, I think we should be refunded our $55. I have gotten used to not worring about withered crops now, so it would be nice to have something for CF. I would buy the clock back $50FC for PERMENANTLY ONLY. That is the only sensible reasonalbe amount/thing I think if y our going to do something at all.

I purchased the unwither clock feeling very stupid I did not read it was only for 30 days. I have spent alot of money with the two farms and other games Zynga offers. If the unwither clock is not going to be like the unwither ring I will just be quitting the game. I work full time and do have a life. It is just not worth it for me then. I am very disappointed that Zynga would take advantage of people this way. I have had farm cash go missing, houses go missing etc. etc. and we will NOT discuss the lag that we all have to deal with. UNREAL. All I have to say is IT IS A FRIGGIN GAME that I will be choosing to discontinue if this is the case. Not fun anymore besides English Farm is much more expensive. Can’t even share the FULL storage I have on my other farm. UNREAL

I bought the 30 day unwither clock thinking it was a clock that kept the crops from withering for 30 days… Not that it was only good for 30 days period without a renewal fee. Thats BS. I wouldn’t have spent the farm cash on it knowing that. I want a refund

It was clear that it was for 30 days! That is why I didn’t get it. I would rather have been able to get a ring or something equal to the ring,lasting “forever”.

I have the unwither ring on my first farm due to my job, now with my second farm i simply grow things where i know that i can really harvest them…. i don’t want another “clock” for just 30 days… offer an unwither ring again or it would be fair to use the unwither ring for both, as you did pay a lot for it!

WHY? You can just PAUSE your farm if you think you’re going to be away beyond harvest….That’s about $200 plus a year for making sure your crops don’t die? Would you pay that much to not die in ANY onther video, pc, ipod game you were playing? Sober up people!

If you would have read it carefully, it did state it was only for 30 days of protection! True, they didn’t say that you can renew it if you wanted to until now. But I did not buy it anyways. Like some people have said, if I can’t get it harvested in time, so what? Yes, it is annoying, but it will not hurt me. Also if you are going to be away for longer, either put in crops that takes a longer time, or put it on pause, or don’t plant anything. After all, it’s ONLY A GAME!!!!
I am not spending any real money for it, that’s for sure. And they sure are trying to make any good stuff that you have to pay for it with real money. I may soon stop playing if it gets worse. May be one of the best moves I made!

Is there any way to transfer items from the English Countryside farm to the home farm? There should be a transfer button on Farmville that would transfer the items from the English Countryside farm to the home farm.

#25 ronnie–the $30 is the human equivalent ,,it is what the 250 fc translates to.

NOW–I had so recently purchased the unwither ring when the big Z gave us the 2nd farm ,,that feel a bit betrayed .I had considered the purchase for a long time and finally splurged on it.I think at that cost,,it should work for both farms.I’m not asking it to protect some other member of my family’s farms–just mine.
I saw the clock,,I saw the time limit on it –and I thought it was a slap in the face.

I might renew if they lower the price. Not worth the 45FC though. It would be nice if they would allow you to buy different time periods starting with 5 FC for a week and going to unlimited for 200FC.

I, too, thought that the clock was a forever unwither that would only unwither any particular crop for 30 days (maybe someone’s leaving on vacation, or whatever). Nothing ever said I would have to pay to renew it. I feel very ripped off. Shame on you Zynga!

This makes me so angry and disgusted.
I bought the ‘forever’ protection on FV Classic but I’m NOT going to ever buy protection I have to renew every month. Not at that price. Just a total rip off.
I hope everyone boycotts it in this format so they allow one time purchases at same price as on classic.
Total rip off to long term and dedicated players. Boooooooooooo and shame on them.

I have to say the unwither anythings are a total waste of FC, REALLY? like others have said if you know you are going to be busy, going on vacation, or whatever don’t plant, harvest your crops and then either plow them or leave them empty… Your neighbors that come to your farm can plow them for you if they want. and/or pause one of the farms. why is this so hard? I agree if/when I have gotten back to late and some crops withered OH WELL it is a game big deal.. I didn’t pay for the coins and have enough.. there is no point in wasting money on a unwither ring or clock in my opinion!
